I am a Latino, though my people immigrated “LEGALLY” 4 generations ago, I do not want a dominant Latino demographic in this nation, whom my father and I have fought for! Paul, I’ve taught my kids not to suffer fools gladly–especially when those fools are trying to convince Americans that the accomplishments of Latinos, Asians and Black people in this country are nothing but affirmative action freebies. If you want to get into an intellectual scrap about your baseless and ignorant opinions, you’d better come armed. You showed up with a screwdriver to a gun-fight. Indeed, what you’ve proven is that Sotomayor’s main detractors–unlike her–haven’t taken the time to learn how to express themselves properly in English. You’d do well to follow that example–my first language, like Sotomayor’s is Spanish. You’re a disgrace to the millions of Americans out there trying to better themselves and broaden their minds.

Hey, its not a contest. You don’t have to prove your dumber or more perfectly illiterate than that other guy; though I’ll admit its an impressive showing of bold and unapologetic stupidity. BTW back at you, you could have at least looked up the word if you were going to be a grammar-queen:

It’s entirely possible to be BOTH.

I note from Mr. Navarette’s photos available on the Web, that he doesn’t seem to have much Indian blood.
This is significant in many Latin American cultures.

Compare Navarette’s mug with that of Mr. Fernandez’s or Ms. Sotomayor’s for that matter to see the difference.

For all his caterwauling about alleged Anglo/Caucasian racism, it’s mighty hypocritical to be coming from a Creole scion of a culture that practices the most rigid hereditary racial caste system of discrimination.

And for the record, my wife would be considered “mestiza”…half “Land Grant” Spanish and half American Indian.
