Activist mother Lisa Jander calls it Reckless Dating because she thinks “kids are more worried about losing their cell phones than losing their virginity.” She would fine parents when teen dating goes awry, but her License to Date initiative doesn’t go that far “at this point.” Should teen dating be treated like driving? PJTV’s Michelle Fields talks with Jander.

I guarantee teens would find ways of getting around "dating license" laws, and prosecuting charges of "dating without a license" would be damn near impossible.

It's a stupid, statist idea from the get-go.

They don't listen to their parents, they don't listen to their teachers, they will listen to their "chaperones"? Are busy bodies/activists getting stupider by the minute, or is this a hoax, or an Onion video?

Did they misspell "chaperones" deliberately to hint at this being a satire, or did they forget spell check?

Or maybe parents should try teaching some values, which would include NOT allowing their heads to be filled with filth (a.k.a., popular culture) in the first place.

And maybe, just maybe, rethink the whole stupid idea of teen "dating".

Nah, that'd be "extreme".

Their condoms are free, their single parents have sleepovers., their teachers force sex on them. Should chaperones be present when underage boys talk to their female teachers?

In fact, statistically, there are fewer underage kids having premarital sex than their older siblings did at their age. Think those "moms" are desperate for their few seconds of fame.

Well, when you veg out in front of the TV for sixteen years, and fill their heads with mush when you DO teach them...anything, I suppose you need more heavy-handed approaches later on.

You may have given Nanny Bloomberg another idea.
