A “new direction” does not necessarily mean a GOOD new direction.

Obama’s SOCIALIST policies (massive wealth distribution within the USA and his 13-year plan to give $845 billion of the USA to “poor” countries) and
SUICIDAL DEFENSE and ENERGY policies (weakening the military in this era of terrorism, focusing solely on “alternative” sources of energy while shutting the door on many American-based sources)
are not the sort of “change” any sane person would wish for.

For people who are in their 40s and below, you know, within your heart, that McCain is not taking us in a new direction but rather, he will take us in the exact same direction as we are today. There is already a slight hint of that with Palin’s interview with Charlie Gibson on ABC.
