Role of ACLU Decisive in Moving KSM Trial to New York
So is it really any surprise that the ACLU would be reaching around to pat itself on the back? This is a major victory for the organization. The rest of America should pause and consider the Pandora’s box that has been opened. Extremist groups like the American Civil Liberties Union are willfully plowing full speed ahead on dangerous roads with blinders on. Sadly, we are governed by individuals influenced and swayed by such groups.
The ACLU blew a bunch of smoke about “the rule of law,” but the United States already had a judicial process in place. Military tribunals were instituted by a bipartisan Congress that was vested by the Constitution with the power to create them. Congress set up the commissions for the express purpose of trying enemy combatants. I cannot find any vested power in the executive branch to order enemy combatants tried in federal courts, and for all the ACLU’s complaints about military tribunals being kangaroo courts, that is exactly what trials in our civilian courts will become in this case. It opens the door for our enemy to use our system as a means of propaganda and publicity. It provides the opportunity for KSM and his friends to use so many legal loopholes it is scary.
Were the accused read Miranda rights? There is the possibility a liberal judge will consider waterboarding to be torture and make all confessions and evidence obtained through this interrogation method inadmissible. This is exactly what the ACLU hopes for its client.
September 11, 2001, was the greatest evil ever committed against America on our own soil. It was not a street crime, as the ACLU and the Obama administration are treating it. The consequences of this decision have set a dangerous precedent and handed a victory to our enemies. Just miles, or even blocks, away from where KSM will be tried are the husbands, wives, children, mothers, and fathers who were left behind to mourn because of the act of terrorism directed by the very man who has now been extended all the protections of the American constitutional system.
Can you imagine if the case of the mastermind of 9/11 was dismissed? If this happens, make sure to thank the ACLU. They were the culprits behind closed doors working to make this a reality. The blood of innocents murdered in the future by those aspiring Islamist killers who will become emboldened by our manifest lack of will and strength will be on their hands.
A massive public outcry needs to take place — and this dangerous agenda being pushed on the country needs to be reversed.

Pushed their socialist, America-destroying agenda too far. Broke the camels back. Sold their souls to the devil. One of the scummiest yet smartest organization on mother earth, the ACLU, lobbied Barack and Eric nonstop for a month’s worth of Sundays to try and get barbarian killers of thousands of innocent Americans on 9/11 not just light sentences, but possibly no sentences for the cowardly yellow acts they committed.
I don’t know how much convincing the ACLU needed to do, whatever it was, they did it.
Or was it the Holder/Obama plan all along to cut the military out of the trials and hold the super trolls in New York City under federal charges.

On Discovery, the U.S. security organizations will have to reveal how they caught the killers. All the technology involved. All our most sensitive tracking secrets. Which trillions of your taxpayer dollars was spent on to create and keep secret.
Holder and Barack could and should have left the trials up to military courts.
Maybe their obsessive desire to embarrass Bush got the best of them. But I don’t think so.
I think holding the trials in NYC, giving the defendants all the rights all American citizens receive under the Constitution was done to further weaken this once great country.
Although I’ve tried to start, I can’t really begin to tell you the gigantic damage this does to every one of us. As far as New Yorkers are concerned, it means they now walk around the city with targets on their backs.
What Barack and Eric did by deciding to opt out of military tribunals and instead go with federal trials may very well end up being the single most damaging act ever done to the United States of America.
Many times before, I’ve told you that Obama and his merry men (and I include Pelosi) are out to destroy us; from changing our form of government to indoctrinating our school children, to marginalizing those who disagree, which as you know, pre-election democrats said was the highest form of patriotism, to bankrupting us, to neutering our military. To naming a flaming bigot to the supreme court. To plotting about taking our firearms away; To one of Michelle’s favorite, redistribution of wealth. The list is longer than the communist tenticles that reach into every Obama body part. Each determined to crush our belief systems. Crush our traditions. While killing our citizens in cold blood along the blood soaked way.
For Obama, from my point of view, there is no going back. The changes to America that he’s made so far are set in stone. Up to now, I thought he might pull a Bill Clinton who, in 1993 decided to moderate his actions if not his views.
But that eventuality is longer possible.

Andrew McCarthy and others have delineated the disastrous compulsory disclosures of intelligence and intelligence-gathering methods a public trial in a civilian courtroom will entail. There’s every possibility that that’s what’s at the top of the Left’s agenda for this event — the ultimate punishment of the Bush Administration for daring to keep the country safe from Muslim savages and their plans.
Barack Hussein Obama is an evil man with an evil agenda. Reflect on this mockery of justice in tandem with this other threat to Americans’ liberties and rights of self-defense, and tell me how you can arrive at any other conclusion.
Mr. Stephenson’s article is right on the money. This decision was never about justice. It is about politics. It is about tearing this country apart by putting it through these trials where it will be impossible to win. It is about feeding the leftist base that this country is evil and the trials will prove to the world how evil we are. And it is about the Obama administration fulfilling at least one promise to its base – putting Bush and Cheney on trial. Of course Holder does not have the courage to do this directly. Instead he will use these trials and the ACLU to do it for him.
I think we need to face a very real fact about the Obama administration. They do not believe in this country and what it stands for. They do not believe in the constitution unless it can be used to further their leftist agenda. These people want to destroy this country because it has become the most successful experiment is individual liberty that the world has ever known. The marxist leftist cannot accept that.
What we can hope for now is that the next administration is as “energetic” about questioning the decisions of this one. Obama and his men being investigated and charged, now there’s a happy thought!
As long as the ACLU continues to receive funding from the uber-wealthy progressives, like Soros, and all the leftist foundations, we will never rid ourselves of their anti-American work. Furthermore, as long as the left owns the media, the truth about the ACLU will forever be hidden from daylight.
Americans and conservataives in particular have only ourselves to blame. For years we’ve allowed America to be ruled (even while we may have had majorities in Congress and a GOP White House) by the left due to our acquiescence, McLame moderates, bipartisanship, and the desire for positive news stories about our legislators.
As a result, our “chickens have come home to roost.” We were so busy concerning ourselves with outside enemies that we overlooked our own inside enemies.
We can cry about what the ACLU is doing, but we’ve watched them for years (like ACORN) and we did nothing. We thought “America is too big to fail” but we were wrong.
While the author tells us what we already know as the truth should the outcome go the way the ACLU wants, it matters little now. It is too late. We lack the backbone, leadership and money to do anything about the ACLU or any other leftist organization that seeks to destroy America.
When do we reach the point that we begin to gather information and prepare to bring justice to those members of this administration that are destroying the remnants of an almost shredded constitution and fellow travelers of seditious organizations such as the ACLU, SEIU, ACORN, etc?

Since “follow the money” is the first rule of politics, that $8.5 million might be important especially in the light of the millions more to come and all of it from taxpayers’ pockets. How much of that will ultimately end back up as campaign contributions to Democrat PAC’s from the ACLU and its members? Foolish question?

If you have been thinking of the United States as an independent, sovereign nation, answering to no one but the American people, you must realize that this period in our history is over. Furthermore, these trials are intended to be “show trials” and a mockery of justice. Democratic spokesmen, needing to cover their ass politically, have already said the perps will never walk free. So if they get off on technicalities or rules of evidence (probably weren’t Mirandized before the waterboarding) what is BO going to do then?

I don’t have a problem with our justice system. The question is which one should be used? In case you haven’t actually read the Constitution there are two acceptable justice systems in this country – civilian and military. Each operates under different rules and both are constitutional. The problem is that the two systems are not entirely compatible by design. The move from the military (which is the appropriate venue for these unlawful combatants) to the civilian is simply a poltical decision that has the misguided hope that it will serve to embarrass the past administration. What is will do is further damage our national security since the only way they will be able to even remotely secure a conviction is through the release of even more national security secrets (just review what happended with the first World Trade Center trials). In their blind and foolish attempts to try in abstentia the Bush Administration, the Obama fools have failed to calculate the political fall out that these trials will bring upon themselves.
The ACLU has never had it as their goal to help anyone but the criminals and those that are discontent with our country. I worked managing a med. clinic at a prison in the 80′s, and watched as the ACLU changed the prison system and made it more dangerous to work there. At the time our government was sympathetic to the ACLU and they went wild and now there is no reigning them in . Acorn will be the same under B.O. We have allowed this to happen to us by voting for people to run our government who come into office with a far left agenda and no respect for the American citizen .

Our country, our unique culture is headed to the toilet. It began in the 60,s. Throw out the baby (the majority of good things we do) with the bathwater (the few mistakes we’ve made and are trying to remedy)
Life became easy in the ’60s. Turn on tune in…etc. abandon responsibility…and turn our normal rebellion against parents into a wholesale condemnation of any kind of common sense legal and cultural restraints. Concentrate on the bad things we have done (racism, robber barons of some industries, stupid public education system) and ignore our nationwide efforts to stop those bad things.
Plus there are lots of citizens who would love to see us go under just for the hell of it. My hope is that when the USA falls apart, there will be lots of ordinary people who will organize themselves into protective enclaves with common sense laws and where everyone has to work hard physically to survive. And the left wing, America hating, atheistic, left wing intellectual fools will have to change their ways or starve.
