James Woolsey is a brainy fellow known for his strong stands in favor of energy independence and (lately) against the Iraq Study Group report. But who knew the former DCI could get down and rock? Here he is with Jeff “Skunk” Baxter of the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan. They were performing at a dinner held by the American Jewish Congress. The organization was giving Woolsey its Jerusalem Award, not the Grammy. [Exclusive PJ Media Video.]

Clearly, it’s “hipper” to keep the mic in the stand, or at least hold it with both hands. Leather pants and a snakeskin belt wouldn’t hurt either!
Folks would be surprised to find out what else Skunk Baxter does besides play the guitar. And even more surprised if they can find the article Jim Woolsey wrote about Team America. These guys definitely rock and they’re great Americans.
That is very cool. James Woolsey has always been one of my favorites in the Government. Steely Dan is special for me because my Sister toured with them about 6 years ago on their world wide tour.
Fun stuff.
This is a good reason why the west will lose and the honor of Islam will perpetuate through the great infidel. This is an example of the demise of western civilization.
Allah Akbar!
Amir:
Er, I think you have that backwards. Do you know what Jeff Baxter’s been up to?

That’s the coolest thing I’ve seen in politics in a long time. Thanks for the grin.
