Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) Asks for Special Counsel to Investigate DOJ/New Black Panther Scandal
On the heels of the public statements, sworn testimony, and articles published by DOJ whistleblower J. Christian Adams here at PJM, Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) today released a four-page letter he sent to President Obama requesting he commence an independent investigation into the New Black Panther case dismissal.
Smith writes:
If [Adams'] allegations are true, it means that the Justice Department has become politicized and only an independent entity can effectively investigate this matter.
…
Had these two individuals been members of the Ku Klux Klan, I doubt the Justice Department would have dropped the charges.
Copied on the letter are Attorney General Eric Holder — the man at the center of the firestorm — and Congressman John Conyers (D-MI). Conyers is chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary.

Yes investigate, if possible prosecute. I also think the ass wipe Congressman from New Your should have been indited by both New York Sate for the real estate scams, and the Feds for the Income Tax issues. Oh wait, sorry he is Royalty and black so never mind. Oh if by some rare fluke of justice he is ever convicted, guess what?? You pay him his pension until he dies.

I don’t think Santa will come to the white house this year, unless they get rid of the Chairman Mao ornament which was in a prominent place on the White house Christmas tree. The tree almost didn’t happen in 2009- because the White House wanted to omit it,until wiser heads prevailed saying, it would cause us peons to think poorly of the administration. They were right, but we already think poorly of them, for the coal they put in our stockings with their unsustainable spending and health care debacles. Lets give them an early Christmas present in November,by voting out all the Senate and House members who fail to hear our voices.It is time for a change on November 2nd. and maybe this time we will wisely select men and women with integrity.

What does that have to do with the Obama Justice Department dropping a case that was already won, all they had to do was finish the “due process,” against Black Panthers?

Is this the best idea republicans have come up with to solve the variety of ills that confront this nation? A dog and pony show? This case was dealt with by the previous administration and followed up by the new administration leading to an injunction AGAINST Minister King Samir Shabazz. No more sticks at the polling place! Wow, can we please get down to business? This nation has more problems than this clown in his beret holding a stick…..
Just stick your fingers in your ears and sing “lalalalalalala” as loud as you can, Mr. Walters. The adults will take control of government again after the next election, then you and yours can go back to what you do best… screaming on the sidelines.
So a, ahem, clown holding a stick at a polling place isn’t a problem? One with deep implications? How about two men- wearing paramilitary uniforms, one wielding a truncheon, speaking in threatening ways, men that the local area knows are potentially violent and definiately racist- standing outside a polling place? Would that be a problem? Disrupting people voting for the person they think best agrees with how they think the problems can be solved? Would it matter if they weren’t political, but were hired thugs of the local machine?
It was important enough for people of color- they knew that denial of access was the potential death-knell for their rights and freedoms. It’s important now too, since denial of access affects local politics (you know, being able to vote for hope and change- can’t vote for a change is the local political bosses threaten to break your skull for doing so, or on the lighter side, just plain throw out your ballot- look at the other posts by J. Adams). So, if you can’t vote, your local condition continues to suck, and at the federal level the game becomes rigged.
People need to be fully engaged in the process for it to work. We are a REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY, lest you forget. If people can’t vote their conscience, we can throw out the Constitution now. That’s why this is important. That’s why it needs to be investigated, all voting rights violations need to be investigated, regardless of affiliation, ethnicity or economic condition. We can fix the problems if we can’t elect the representatives who actually can do so. Get it?
Oh, and for the record, as someone who has actively studied ‘waving little sticks around’, I can say that you do not want to be hit by a 18 inch piece of hardwood swung with intent. In the temple, it would kill you. Other places, it could bruise, cause concussions, break small bones (larger ones if you’re older or frail), do internal damage- bruised kidneys are not a good thing- In training, I’ve been bruised and had skin ‘broken’ by impact, and know people that have been knocked out- all accidental and done without anything like full force, far from it. Heck, you don’t want to be hit with light cane either. It can draw blood more easily, in addition to the bruising and other damage.
Tell you what, I’m not even a big guy, but I’ll get my swagger going, hold a small bat in my hands and stand in front of you, projecting every intent of hitting you if you do the wrong thing. We’ll see how you feel. Then we’ll get someone who is big, and looks like they want to be jackbooted thug to start with, give him the truncheon and stand him in front of you, see how much more intimidating that is. I don’t think you’d get to vote that day, and the lesson wouldn’t be lost to anyone else. If you don’t believe that, then the day you see it at your polling place, feel free to walk up to they guy and tell him to stop waving that little stick and get out of your way.
So much for you being able to participate in electing who you think is helpful.

I also wonder if Mr. Walters’ opinion would have been the same had it been white guys wearing uniforms outside a polling place. I suspect not, which is, of course, the whole point of this kerfuffle. Equal justice apparently means treating people of different skin tones differently according to people like Mr. Walters. Kinda turns the word “equal” on its head, doesn’t it?
And therein lies the reason why they’re trying so hard to get us to stop discussing this issue… because they know they don’t have a moral leg to stand on, and so it scares the fecal matter right out of them.
With an hones DOJ Mr. Scumbazz would have been sent to prison where he would wish that stick was all that he had to worry about being shoved up his butt.
When the Government enforces laws selectively we really have no law that the citizens can trust.
I think this letter is going to get MAJOR play in the MSM. Just wait and see, cynics and skeptics. The exposure of JournoList (it’s reformed as Cabalist, by the way) showed the NYT, LAT, WaPo and all the networks just how far they have strayed from the straight and narrow, and change is on the way — and soon. Just watch how this story is covered.

We have a government angling towards totalitarianism and we are wasting our time trying to get a bunch of communist Democrats to prosecute one of their own? The Democrats would love for you to be worked up into a froth over the black panthers so that you don’t talk about any of the real issues.
