I disagree with the way that the war in Afghanistan is being played, and if they think a surge will work then think again, it needs a whole new strategy, so if that is what you mean then silly is right, do you think it is silly to hunt down Al Queda however and have them spending more time just surviving rather than planning and carrying out more mass casualty attacks?

Outside London, in England, we are a decent tolerant bunch. What happens in London is nothing to do with us. The BBC is nothing to do with us. The Scottish government in London is nothing to do with us. We tend to read the Daily Mail & Daily Telegraph. We are NOT members of the GRC (Guardian Reading Classes). We think the war in Afghanistan is silly. We think Americans are arrogant. When your new president says he is going to change the world, we say – hang on – don’t bother! We noticed that the film “Saving Private Ryan” didn’t mention that over half the troops landing on D-Day were British or Canadian. How many Americans know that?
