Because in the Bible, God did tell Moses that Israel should protect the sojourners( one that is an alien or outsider) and show compasion to them by giving them the same rights as Israel enjoyed with the understanding that they too will observe and obey the Law otherwise they will suffer the fate of being put to death for disobeying the very Law that was meant to protect them. Well, today, the same sojourners ( Palestinian arabs ) do enjoy the same laws as regular israelis have such as voting, schools, jobs, retirement, vacations etc. but a lot of them choose to be terrorists or vote for terrorists to be elected in office. So, getting to your point, I am not a real Zionist for the fact that I believe that the Palestinians have a right to live in Israel to work, obey and be subjects of the State of Israel and pay their taxes there with the understanding that they have to be productive and not DESTRUCTIVE by enrolling into groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and the likes. God said to have compassion on the outsider, but today we see that the indoctrinated jihadists see that compassion and take it as weakness. They repay that compassion with bombs exploding in open markets, rockets being fired into schools, turning synagouges into bomb factories and the ordinary jew is asking himself" Where did we go wrong? We tought that we gave them what they wanted and here is the thanks for all we did". On the other hand, the ultra orthodox jew is looking at this and saying" we told you so. We should expell all of them good and bad out of our land". There is an internal fight among israelis as what to do about this problem. The liberal and moderate jew debates out of compassion and the ultra orthodox jew out of nationalism. They make their points, but there is no consensus as to what to do about the acts of terrorism that occurs on a daily basis in Israel. We all know what consensus and ideology the terrorists have and that is one of No EXISTENCE OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL, but we also know that that is wishful thinking on your behalf. It will never happen. So, I have to commend you on pointing out that I am not an ultra orthodox jew or a hard core zionist. I do believe that arabs and israelis have a right to exist and work side by side in Israel, but Israel as a sole State of Israel in the borders promised by God to Abraham and Moses, not a two state solution that ObamaMama wants to impose on Netenyahu and the jewish people. If you didn't know his background, how he caught Obama in a lie and then the entire Democrat machine and the state of Ohio tried to smear him, you would say his biases weren't nearly as obvious as Charlie's or Katie's.
