Fred Barnes of The Weekly Standard sits with Lionel Chetwynd and Roger L. Simon to discuss Obama’s reelection strategy. Is it wise for the Obama campaign to roll out celebrities like George Clooney, Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour? Can the Vogue editor convince swing voters and battleground states to vote Obama? Find out. Also, Matt Atchity of Rotten Tomatoes gives a sneak peak at Madagascar 3 and Prometheus, and tells you how these films are doing on the Tomato Meter.

A really enjoyable exchange. Fred Barnes is always well-informed, reasonable and a joy to hear.
I have to disagree on one thing. If I was a GOP strategist I would hang that Anna Wintour clip around Obama’s neck every chance I get. A contributor to another site captured Ms. Wintour perfectly – He said she came off as “Thurston Howell III in drag.” Her smarmy elitism and barely-concealed contempt for anyone not associated with her “fabulous” world is palpable. She is almost a parody of the clueless, overly-botoxed New York socialite snob. I would have her mug spread all over the country as the type of person Obama REALLY cares about.
I think your answer is great. What a bunch of snobs they are, for sure.
Ditto. I am still amazed how many tax paying voters actually believe he is like any of us? I refuse to listen or watch him!
This is the real Obama. He had no real accomplishments when elected in 2008, and ran his successful campaign as a celebrity. He is the “cool” and “awesome” Obama (just ask Oprah), surrounded by the “glitterati” who count him as one of their own. This is why his personal polling numbers seem disconnected from the failures of his administration. He is not to be held to the same standards as a mere politician. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he would try to return to that formula for his “rerun” in 2012.
