I’m not surprised that President Obama won reelection. But I am surprised that the Republicans cannot field a winning a candidate. Hear more as I discuss Mitt Romney, Herman Cain and the future of conservatism and the Republican party.
For all the reasons you mention, the media would try to DEstroy any strong black conservative. I liked Cain, but the next black conservative candidate has to be without sin. The democrats know that if the republicans can just peel off 20% of the black vote they are in huge trouble. They and their propaganda arm in the corrupt media will stop at nothing to prevent that. But kind of like you said, if they overreach and everyone sees the true racist, divisive nature of the dems and media, it may be their death knell.
Just like their attitudes towards women- all for womens rights…sure sure sure..but when a CONSERVATIVE women steps up, nothing but derision and ridicule. The same thing will happen, “Oh oh we care so much about the black community”. Yeah just wait till a powerful black conservative steps up…Whatever. Bring it on. A candidate who could bring blacks into the republican fold would be GREAT for the black community, the GOP, and the United States. Enough of the divisiveness that has been SPEWING from the dem party for so long. Seriously, enough already. If I see one more false accusation of racism directed at a conservative I’m going to climb through the TV screen and slap the person silly. Hey dems, stop trying to manipulate blacks into hating us, it is horrendously insulting to all of us and damaging to the country.
<B" . . . the media would try to DEstroy any strong black conservative."
I think that’s Rachel’s point – the media destroying a strong black conservative would put on full display their true (racist) colors. Ann Coulter predicted way before the primary that if Christie weren’t the nominee, Republicans would nominate Romney and lose, which is precisely what happened. Look, this is not complicated. Republicans need a strong, articulate, charismatic conservative to win. And if he or she is a minority, all the better – to peel off the votes you mention that would ordinarily go to the Democrats by default. Romney was strong, articulate and charismatic – his problem was his relationship with conservatism. Moreover, any Republican -black, white, brown or purple- must overcome the bias of the media & entertainment industries, not to mention voter fraud. And this year, Democrats, with the help of a complicit media, did a good job of distracting voters away from the economy & Libya with everything but: free contraception, abortion, Julia, war on women, etc. That Obama could not be defeated in this economy should serve as a warning that Rachel is spot on – Republicans cannot win with squishy, old white men.
To all you future Republican candidates, here’s some advice: First, sharpen several pencils. Second, carry them around with you & make sure they stay sharp. Third, when you get the urge to share your thoughts on abortion, rape, contraception, slavery or immigration with the media, immediately pull out one of the pencils, stick it deep, deep, deep into your eye socket, and wiggle it around real good until the urge passes. Then, go on about your merry way! Trust me, you’ll be a much better candidate if you’ll follow this simple advice.
I still believe the good ol’ USA is center-right, so perhaps after two years of Obamacare and all the expensive goblins therein, people will wake up in 2014 and turn control of the Senate over to Republicans so at least that statist monstrosity can be stopped.
The people will now get what they asked for . . . . . good and hard. How long they’ll take it remains to be seen.
Also, one of Ann’s continuing points about Romney, (and if I remember correctly she made it both before & after the primary), was that Romney had at least proven he could get elected in a blue state, meaning that he ostensibly appealled to a broad electorate. The problem was, sufficient electorate on the right didn’t show up to vote in the critical swing states. 60 million votes for McCain in ’08 and 57 million for Romney in ’12 with this economy? Are you kidding me? Wher were the other 3 million McCain voters on election day? Having good sense-ectomies?
“I think that’s Rachel’s point – the media destroying a strong black conservative would put on full display their true (racist) colors.”
You’re both wrong. You’ve both missed Chris’s point: The media don’t have to use overt racism. They’ll just scrutinize every millimeter of his life until they find something then blow it out of proportion, the total reverse of what they did with Obama.

Agree 100%. They Dims may have kicked Allen West out of office, but if we can convince him to be the next candidate, that may just give him 2-3 years to prepare.
Without sin? LMAO. Uh, better check the composite girlfriend, sorta maybe 1/2 fictional “autobiography”, runnin’ with the “underground” activist, blunt smokin’ never been in any position of real authority type we have in office NOW.
Alphonso is on the money on this one, but I’d go further and say that the tipping point has already been reached.
Let them do whatever they want to do and we step back from it. It will fall, and then we pick up the pieces after it does. The constitution lives within the hearts and minds of people. It is an IDEA that will win as long as there are those who hold to its principles.
Reagan posited that freedom is only one generation from extinction. I think we’re there. Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged showed how futile it was to fight against these evil men, and even her solution was to withdraw and let them eat themselves. (And if anyone doesn’t think she nailed this on the head, you haven’t really read it.)
People who think that we can beat back this zombie tide of takers are spitting in the wind, imho. Sad to say.
Virtually everybody in SC liked Cain and Gingrich because they were plain spoken and direct to the point of embarrassing the so-called journalists. I got a lot of flack for criticizing Romney (cries of “he’s inevitable” abounded online) but the facts are now clear: a wish-washy conservative wont cut it.
The argument that the only thing that matters is the economy wont cut it with conservative voters. Being moderate in regard to abortion, healthcare, and immigration hurt Romney’s voter turn-out bad.
I was under the impression that the Tea Party was created to wash out the RINOs (Republicans In Name Only). Yet, the only victory the party achieved was getting Ryan on the ticket. Good job, you got to choose the man whose office has practically no responsibilities. Romney’s win in the primaries only secured for me the conclusion that the Tea Party was not taken seriously by the GOP. Is it not sad that Bachman, Perry, Gingrich, Cain, and Santorum – Santorum, for goodness sakes! – got significant support fighting Romney before each was plucked from the race. Conservatives were given Romney kicking and screaming.
I lose patience with the argument that Tuesday was a failure of conservatives failing to vote. While it is true, after twenty years of holding our noses when voting, I think we’re tiring of backing moderates.
I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! – Barry Goldwater (1964)
How is it that socalled republicans who seek the honour to represent those guns and religion, sexist, racist, astro-turf aka Americans of all backgrounds can’t see what’s right in front of their eyes. You see it, I see it, a lot of others see it, but politicians of choice with their campaign staffs for establishment republicans are too busy modelling their programs on templates of their avowed enemies. Example in Romney’s who DARED in off-mike comments tell the percentage in the population who are government vassals. Romney pilloried by the handmaidens of these enemies for Telling The Truth. Romney failed to shout out it was the unvarnished truth, a matter of government record. The usual Uriah Heep response from the Romney camp to their assaults on honesty.
Did we see any such pilloring or backpedalling from Obama after his off-mike virtually treasonous comments in Russia?
As if there’s something shameful in outright love of America and her people AS THEY ARE – fundamentally. Before illiberal liberals deconstructed them within this past half century to the mewling infants dependent on government teat.
What does one call a person who promises to “fundamentally transform” a living breathing, robust society/people but a destroyer, a vandal, an enemy of that society/people? However the transformation is envisioned, the message is clear, “I plan to destroy what you are”. NOT identity theft, but identity deconstruction, destruction
Sarah Palin displayed her unashamed love for America and her people in taking, in her first appearance on the nationsal stage as VP Candidate, the fight to the the enemy. For which they hated and reviled her because they understood only too well that she was a force to be reckoned with.
To their shame establishment republicans allied with the enemy to force her off the stage “because she lacked class”. The sort of class of Michael Moore, Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, and their like. The sort of class of the entire Kennedy clan and both the Clintons, and of course Obama?
Or did they dismiss her because she is a model – NOT a knee-jerk fellow traveller/useful idiot “liberal”- of the modern liberated woman? Independent, “bourgeouis” in her love of family and belief in behavioural standards of forthrightness and honesty. A modern, independent woman who did not need a husband’s coat-tails to hang onto. A liberated woman who followed her own dream and strode the universe of domestic and public life to, were there true respect and justice for this sort of independence, would be a STAR in a republican firmament. IS a star among people who understand just how AMERICAN she is.
Republicans may not like the lower classes of America which to them except when useful for their plans include the middle class – “epater la bourgeoisie” – . BUT their upper classes are the most to quote nasty and vulgar this nation has ever produced. Shame that establishment republicans so desperately try to emulate them.
In doing so, they have been handmaidens to the groups who brought us this unknown except for his plans of destruction for America BH Obama with his army of vandals.
Cain & Palin are prime examples of what the LSM does to conservative candidates. A successful candidate will have to do what Ronald Reagan was able to do, connect directly with the people, or at least the 60% of them that identify as center & right of center. Nobody with 2 brain cells to rub together believes a Romney victory would have meant the end of abortion or contraception, but the rat bastard commies in the LSM managed to convince a huge number of women under 40 that their sexual freedom was dead if Romney was elected.
I hate to admit that blacks and Latinos are so shallow that they will not support a conservative candidate who has the wrong color skin, but there is ample evidence that a strong majority feel that way. Maybe a Marco Rubio or a black conservative can help the party, and the country, out of this mess in 2016. If we continue down the current path we are dead as a great and free nation.
Marco Rubio is undoubtedly an admirable man – what’s he doing in politics? – but to rain on the parade of those who want him as President there’s still that little problem of the Constitution of the USA.
Theoretically the foundation LAW of this nation, thus on which LAWFUL public actions must be justified. Lest we forget the Federation of These United States of America is also known as a “Country of Law, NOT of men”.
Provisions in that Law cannot be simply waved away with the wishes of Congress and/or Judiciary. No doubt this is of concern only for strict constitutional constructionists, right-wing “losers” or other odd-balls among whom are citizens who cannot without the sorts of evidence required of ordinary citizens accept the “natural born status” of BH Obama and his lawful eligibility to the Office of President. Or did I miss the lesson on repeal of the Constitution by fiat?
The Founding Fathers en masse were experienced, adult, and wise enough to know that “things change” and placed in that Law/Constitution procedure for change when relevant. The Amendment Procedure. Which requires direct application to and consent from We The People for any changes made. Direct application to the People, not a majority vote in the Federal Congress with rubber stamp from the Supreme Court. Law depends on procedure. Why then should amendment/change to the fundamentals in the Constitution be managed otherwise than via lawful procedure?
If as in Article I natural born citizen as one requirement for eligibility to the Office of President is no longer relevant, it can be amended. Until that is done any candidate who is not a proven natural born citizen is ineligible according to the Law of the Land, no matter how attractive and popular. Please note that natural born citizen is required ONLY of candidates for President, not for Congress or Judiciary.
The Constitution, with Amendment of that Article I provision, with definition of what is a natural born citizen in law would remain a “living document” and should satisfy those persons who consider it archaic and irrelevant when a barrier to their designs and plans to “fundamentally transform” the nation hors la loi.
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
From Wikipedia – Marco Rubio entry:
Rubio was born in Miami, Florida, the second son and third child of Mario Rubio and Oria Garcia. His parents were Cubans who had immigrated to the United States in 1956 and were naturalized as U.S. citizens in 1975.
I believe jojo fell into a rumor spread during the VP selection process, probably by Puffington Host types. Rubio, unlike President Downgrade, can produce a certified Florida birth certificate.
You’re right, it is Article II. I knew that. Mea culpa about Rubio.
Perhaps I am also mistaken about Obama’s status as natural born citizen. Odd however that he and his troupes lack the civility and courtesy you have shown in pointing up the mistake.
But natural born citizen as part of remains mysterious. Obama’s own behaviours plus his and his troupes reactions to questions about it only increases the mystery of his status in law. Their hammer and tong reaction to anyone who asks to see reliable evidence, suthenticated by authoritative legal bodies.
There’s a flip side here and that is, the reason Obama won is because Blacks want to be slaves, they want to be led into slavery and with Zero this is exactly what is happening to them. They have been bound by their past and are blinded to their future and prefer security over liberty. In part we have done this to them by keeping them from growing up. In part, it is Evil’s scheme to keep them enslaved. Blacks need a Moses.
I’d hope all Americans would read the Declaration of Independence this weekend. Wrongs need to be righted, Resident Evil is in the White House and it needs to be expelled. America has a God and He is not amused by corruption, deception, fraud, intimidation, manipulation, control, pride, contempt, injustice, murder, unfaithfulness, or fear. Men were created for Liberty and He is the Author of it. We should have hope, it is the confident expectation of good in spite of pressure, in spite of circumstances: if you can see it, it’s not hope.
Our lot will change, we don’t need Democrats or their agents defining who we are or why we failed.
Alfonso, you are 100% correct!
Cain was a perfect candidate to expose the hypocrisy of the libs and to take a huge number of black voters to the conservative side.
And that is exactly what I was telling people about Kain. I wanted him as the candidate simply because the liberals would have gone out of the bloody minds. They would have indeed piled all manner of vicious racist vitriol on the man thus revealing their true selves. It also would have made for a highly entertaining campaign watching all the hypocritical liberal attacks against Kain when they were running their own black man for office.
We would have annihilated the Democrats without having to try very hard. Kain would just take the path of Reagan and articulate the issue while ignoring the liberal attacks while his VP and the Conservative media pointing it all out and laughed at their hypocrisy, something which would have driven them to an even greater frenzy and making our job even easier.
The problem is that the current RNC kingmakers got this idea in their head under Bush 2 that thing to do was “grow the tent” by becoming Democrats. Thus we got the Prescription Drug Plan with the doughnut hole. Of course, it was designed be Ted Kennedy. Certainly you remember that few years where Congressional Republicans had the majority but kissed Teddy’s backside and let him dictate their policy? It wasn’t just this plan but most of the agenda. Idiots. Of course, Kennedy played them and stabbed them in the back, or maybe not given how Boner and others are acting toward big government.
Anyway: Kain should have been the candidate and it was in part because he was black. Exploiting the racism of the liberals in that way would have knocked them down quite a few pegs for some time.
You are wrong in that Cain was that candidate. Too much problem with the sexual stuff — real or not – -and then we would have lost the war on women. Look Zo, I like your stuff, but you are wrong also on things like Hispanics like conservative values. But what they like more is free stuff. And that’s what they will always vote for: the party that gives them free stuff. [Case in point: the state of California.]
You do have a point there. Most of these immigrants come from democracies where their idea of government is that it gives them free stuff and politicians regularly hand out free stuff during campaigns. There is no way to expect the majority of people coming from that kind of a background to suddenly turn around and expect government to do nothing but stay out of their way.
I was ecstatic when Cain moved into the lead. I was sure he could win. We should have gone all out to defend him and denounced the press as racist for attacking him. That is what the Democrats would have done. Had we cone that and kept the discussion on the race we could have worn.
One of the problems we have is we in effect let the press chose our candidates for us. They run the debates and decide which candidate is winning. We really need to change that. The Democrats wanted to run against Romney. They had 5 years to cook up a battle plan and it worked. The abortion & birth control BS was part of a trap that the press set for him during the primary debates that were run by the Democrats, not us.
Once again, well said Zo. But what should be the plan, the strategy? How do you get in front of these people when everything they see is controlled by liberal lame stream media or liberal teachers pushing their agenda? If Jay-Z is the next Demo nominee (just saying) how do we compete with that? Sorry, I’m just very frustrated and I feel like an old man,51, whose world is completely changed and can’t figure out the damn TV remote anymore. “Back in my day” will be my common phrase soon. I believe success comes to those that plan for it. We’ve got 4 years, maybe, to come up with a strategy.
I remember recommending Romney four years ago. Man, I got that one wrong eh?.. but the more I think of what zo says the more I think that if Romney had some policy answers except the constant “Cut Taxes on Wealthy the Job Creators” then we may have had a better chance. We needed real positive…positive policy… like “end the wars” “cut spending” “create jobs” “get off foreign oil” etc etc etc. But the Republicans decided to to it Rush’s way with name calling and critisizing…til people went deaf…. Cain had policies !! remember 999 ? and zo is also right about the moral things, so what if Cain chased a few secrataries around the back of his taxi after a few beers? That did’nt hurt Clinton around the Oval Office did it?.. Its about the issues, we should take notes !! Thanks for this video !
Its not a black,or Hispanic,or female conservative we need. The Republican elites will continue to bring the next ‘old white dude’ up as the moderate needed to appeal to the masses. What we need is a cultural conservative. Someone who can appeal the patriotic Americanism of individual freedom. After seeing this video, my wife said “If Toby Keith had ran for POTUS we would have beaten Obama” But beyond that what is needed is a way to shame those that mooch off the government tit. People don’t like being called a moocher and to loudly call the Democrat voter a mooch will get under their collective skins. Also we must find a way to educate the moochers that Uncle Sam isn’t Santa Clause and the goodies they are getting have to be paid for and how a free market society pays for that.
Despite all odds, our President prevailed. He still has an uphill battle fighting a Red House which has blocked his every move in an attempt to squash his goals of bringing the Middle Class equal pay, women’s rights, gay rights and affordable healthcare. The Bush Administration drove our economy into a swift nose dive and Obama is still the patsy. Watch conservative hands paint him in Blackface with a visual commentary of how Barack has been bamboozled at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/10/bamboozling-obama.html
Herman Cain was my first choice. I donated money to his campaign. I liked that he was talking about substantive change to the tax code. Didn’t matter to me so much if people did or didn’t agree right away with his 9-9-9 plan … Cain was hitting one of the major issues IMO and getting people to talk about the tax code.
And then the man got torpedoed.
Very early in the primaries, when there were 9 GOP contenders & before I settled on Cain, I remarked to a friend at work that I didn’t yet know who I really liked, but that I knew already whom I did NOT like. They were “No,” “Hell No,” and “You’ve got to be kidding me,” otherwise known as Santorum, Gingrich and Romney. Guess who were the last three candidates remaining in the primary race? (Can I pick ‘em or can I pick ‘em?)
Your “ya’ll” is not people like me but the Poindexter$$ of the GOP who shoved Don Draper down the throats of people like me. I don’t dislike Romney personally and he ended up running a better campaign than I expected (I set the bar pretty low on these things) … BUT … he’s still Don Draper. Who apparently only works for liberals when he’s a fictional character.
Agreed with above … how do we go about teflonizing Allen West for higher office? THAT guy is a fighter. Sharp, knowledgable, fast on his feet, doesn’t let the media get away with framing the questions ….. IOW all the speaking savvy of Gingrich, without the wife-cheating angry-warthog baggage. I actually have been following West since 2003 when the circumstances of that “incident” in Iraq hit WND. Lefties love to scream about “the war torturer Allen West” and throw the “war criminal” smear around, but I don’t happen to think this is the neutralizer they think it is. Let the FACTS be aired before the American public on how the LtCol handled the prisoner & took responsibility for that handling, and no one who has any basic respect for our troops (which by definition excludes lefties) would judge West harshly. In fact he would be supported & commended.
Unless there are personal skeletons in his closet (which WOULD be deployed to destroy him, count on it), West is IMO moonbat kryptonite.
And BTW.
Anybody who writes a one-word letter — “Nuts!” — to Debbie Wasserman-Shultz when she demanded an apology from him — and does so on Congressional letterhead — is my kinda guy. I’d buy LtCol West a thank-you beer for that strike alone, anywhere, any time. I would love to have the privilege of voting for him someday.
We let the press ruin Herman Cain. It was his fall off in the polls among likely GOP primary voters that did him in. Had the GOP voters shrugged their shoulders and continued supporting him he would be president. We have to realize that they are going to dig up dirt on any good candidate we have, accept it when it happens, and continue to support the our guy. That is what the Democrats do. The only reason they didn’t do that to Romney is because the guys is Dudley Doright. There aren’t too many of them around, and the ones there are are likely to start rambling on about legitimate rape being part of God’s plan or so other act of self immolation after we nominate them.
Taking control of our nominating process would be a start. Take a bit of the zillions Carl Rove raised and wasted and set up our own debate system. Have our media stars be the moderators. Fox will run them, even of the other media ignores us, and we can put it on the web which is replacing TV anyway. If the other networks refuse to carry it, so what, it just demonstrates to the people that the MSM is a Democrat campaign resource.
Of all the talk since Obama’s reelection, you, more that anyone else, has nailed it all square on the head. Perhaps that Nobel Prize sitting on Obama’s mantel needs to be forwarded to you. Brilliant analysis!
I have to disagree with Zo on this. The democrats are completely against sexism, right? But when they crucified Sarah Palin in ’08 (and still do to
this day), Obama still won the women’s vote, even though their hypocrisy was evident. Why would it be any different with the African American community?
The election was ARRANGED for the Great Mulatto Jeezus to “win”, rendering your premise that he is “our” President completely false. You would realize this if you had a brain to blow out.
You trollsteins simply can’t control your ziopathic urge to come shit in the comments section of blogs where your views are justifibly ridiculed… why can’t you just act like a normal human being and go play somewhere where you are welcome? Oh yes… no brain…
Even if Cain didn’t win, I think he could have set up a shift in the African American community, especially in black church goers. He could have convinced them that as long as all blacks give their vote to one party regardless of the results of the party’s policies, then both parties will ignore their interests in order to pander to other groups because each party either already has their vote (the Dems) or has no chance at their vote (the GOP).
I think we need to educate people on the racist origins of three important planks in the Democrats’ platform. Abortion, minimum wage, and gun control. Anytime any conservative brings up federalism and states’ rights, they’re called racist because racists used the same argument. But federalism and states’ rights were a way both for slave states to keep slaves and for free states to keep slavery out.
But each of those three planks were originally explicitly stated to keep the influence and growth of the black population under check. Gun control was especially evil, because it was designed to allow dirty police forces and the Klan to intimidate blacks who couldn’t defend themselves with guns without breaking the law.
Dude you hit the nail on the head. I’m no expert on politics but I told everyone that the only candidate who had a chance was CAIN. I would have loved to see him as my President and would have been proud. (oh by the way I am a white guy)…. Do you think that all that was really true about Cain (which didn’t matter to me). He was railroaded…and we run a dead fish like Romney.
I all seems rigged anyway. I’m afraid the republicans are so sold out that WE THE PEOPLE need a new voice. Thanks for the your voice.
For all the reasons you mention, the media would try to DEstroy any strong black conservative. I liked Cain, but the next black conservative candidate has to be without sin. Or Al Sharpton or somebody will call him an Uncle Tom, a token, a house slave (euphemism for house n—-r), or worse. And remember Michael Steele depicted in blackface? Remember Condoleezza Rice in a “political” “cartoon” saying “I don’t know nothin’ about aluminum tubes”? http://www.nationalblackrepublicans.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=pages.DYK-SimpleSamboandgnorantMammy&page_id=95&tp_preview=true

Here is a story of one nuts and bolts get-out-the-vote that didn’t. What a screwup!

Right on the mark.
Good analysis, Zo.
From Article II Section 1 – US Constitution:
I don’t know why that posted as I typed, but I was going to add…
I believe that makes him a natural born citizen.
“I don’t need a politician to lead me!”
Amen & Thank you!
Definitely sharing this one!
Yeah, this is stupid stuff. Cain? He’s a joke. 999? Stupid. Now he wants a third party? Stupid.
I agree with you, Zo. But, the character assault against him ruined his chances early one.
Preach it, Zo.
Quibble, though: Who is this “ya’ll,” kemosabe?
Barack Hussein Obama is your President. Suck it up and deal with it, or kindly blow your brains. Please choose the latter.
Pellegrino,
The election was ARRANGED for the Great Mulatto Jeezus to “win”, rendering your premise that he is “our” President completely false.
