First off just want to pass on a BIG thank you to PJTV for doing what none of the msm is willing to do. That is obtain and publish the real facts.
Honestly I haven’t been a consumer of the msm for quiet some time now and I am sure many others here are in the same boat as well. I have no need for their propaganda.
I followed some of the additional linked stories from above that you guys have traveled to Honduras to get, talking to real Hondurans,
imagine that novel idea actually talking to real Hondurans to get their thoughts …..
Your dedication to the real story has finally prompted me to become a paid subscriber.
Thanks a bunch for your diligence and desire to get the truth out..
One, its quite innacurate to say that either the mainstream media is ignoring Honduras, or that AFP is the only source covering it. Here’s a link to googlenews where there are nearly three thousand news stories about Honduras. Here’s another link to the New York Times, which has had an article about Honduras nearly every day this week.
Its one thing to fool people who are encouraged to read no newspapers even as they seek to critique them. Its another to fool informed individuals. This is shameful at best.
Two, there are no dates on your photos, nothing to suggest that these are the same demonstrations referred to as having hundreds. Citizen journalism is not, by definition, journalism freed from fact. Substantiate your claim, or get off the soap box.
Lastly, one little note from a Spanish-speaker. One of the banners quite clearly says “Reservistas Fuerzas Armadas”–Armed Forces Reservists. Perhaps your citizen reporter can find out how many of the demonstrators were members of the military that carried out the coup? Or even why all of the protesters seem to have been outfitted with the same flags, t-shirts hats, and banners.
TommyD. Yes, why don’t I show you Obama’s birth certificate, as well? What you numbskulls don’t understand is that playing dumb only works with dumb people–and here you all are in one convenient place.
“Well Moho,
… Quote: “how many of the demonstrators were members of the military that carried out the coup?”
I asked the formerly famous vivo the same question and got a miserable attempt at justification.”
I don’t recall being asked that question. tonmmyd seems not to understand simple English and then distorts the original meaning. Nobody in the press has explained the Honduran situation clearly.
Zelaya came back to Honduras and NOBODY said anything aside from a short clip in the USA Mexican TV news. As usual, I’ll wait for Newsweek to present the real story.
you have a conveniently short memory then. I specifically asked you about 5 days ago in a related thread to list your facts on the so called coup to which you gave a very vague response lacking any hard facts to support your claim of a coup.
Why don’t you just try again?
Surely you can do better than moho did.
Obviously supporters of the left have become incapable of reading the Honduran Constitution and must wait and be told what to think by others pushing the leftist agenda.
You are here on this site so I assume you have some expertise at navigating the internet for research.
The problem is the facts do not support the leftist agenda hence the lack of factual reports from the largely leftist controlled media.
All the main stream media has done is to repeat the word “coup” over and over but they do not have the facts to support that claim any more than your do.
That is why you have not seen a clear explanation from them.
They do not have one to support their position.
This is great! A little bit of controversy, eh? Well, I’ve lived in Honduras 14 years, Retired Texan. I’ll tell you, Thank God the Hondurans have cajones. Look the word up if you don’t know Spanish. Americans need more of them. You don’t find many in Washington.
Well, I was planning to leave my life in Honduras, nice house, two cars, five dogs, computers, books, photos, and all in Honduras. Yes, things were so bad; many electricity outages, no Federal budget, no mail, high duties, serious water problems, much favoritism, yada yada I was about to give it all up.
Now, after June 28, things are working better. I’m going to stay awhile and see how things work out.
Proud to be in Honduras today. So far, all has been handled amazingly well.
And thanks to PJTV for sending a real reporter, with cajones at that!
“you gave a very vague response lacking any hard facts to support your claim of a coup.
. . . You are here on this site so I assume you have some expertise at navigating the internet for research.”
After several threads, the facts have not changed. Everybody called the Micheletti action a ‘coup’ and the word stuck. If you’re trying to change that word, then say so. It doesn’t matter to me: Zelaya was removed, Micheletti holds the power. Who’s right? I’m not going to waste my time researching a bunch of facts, distortions, lies and what have you. Let Arias solve the deal. Or the Hondurans. It’s their country and I have no involvement there, except that the people live in peace.
Vivo and Moho, what a couple of lazy morons. If you cared enough about facts to actually look for them, you would acknowledge that this was no “coup”. But since your pals, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and Daniel Ortega say this is a “coup”, well, then it must be!!
A coup by definition is illegal. Zelaya flouts the constitution and he’s justifiably kicked out on orders from the Honduran Supreme Court. He’s replaced by a member of HIS OWN PARTY – NOT THE ARMY. New elections are scheduled for this fall. How exactly is this a “coup”?
I challenged you in another thread because you called the action in the Honduras a “coup” just like moho did in this thread.
I challenged both of you to explain what happened and why you consider the actions to be a coup.
Neither of you could come close to any explanation. Not even close.
The reason is plain. The facts do not support the medias repeated claim of a coup. The medias claim is simply them projecting their desire and agenda in the absence of facts to back up their claim.
That is why you see no objective reporting from most of the MSM side and why you find no substantiating facts to back up their claims of a coup, only the bulk of the MSM and their leftist allies repeating their desired propagandist position over and over in hopes that the lazy uninformed masses will after a time accept the lie as truth.
That is their Standard Operating Procedure.
You say the facts have not changed, I ask you what are those facts you refer to.
You decline to answer because the actual facts do not back up the leftist claims. So you claim the facts are unclear.
I have read a good bit of the Honduran Constitution and I can tell you the facts back up the present Government 99.9 percent.
Which points to another fact.
You are nothing more than a leftist mouthpiece. Parroting the leftist talking positions over and over on this blog. You care not for truth, You are just here to push an agenda.
How can you even stand to look at yourself every morning in the mirror?
“I challenged both of you to explain what happened and why you consider the actions to be a coup.

It’s all here, read it again:

I bet your government will do anything if it is in the best interest of the country, with or without people’s concent. People, whatever you want to call it “coup” or not “coup”, we needed to stop communism, I dont care which way we acted, but it needed to be stopped. Well Moho,
Your one sentence here says a lot about you, maybe you let this slip by or maybe not.
Quote: “how many of the demonstrators were members of the military that carried out the coup?”
I asked the formerly famous vivo the same question and got a miserable attempt at justification.
So I’ll ask you.
Please list your version of the events in Honduras and explain to the rest of us how and where a “coup” took place.
Please use facts.
Hint:
Just Because the NYTimes calls it a coup does not make it so.
TommyD. Yes, why don’t I show you Obama’s birth certificate, as well? What you numbskulls don’t understand is that playing dumb only works with dumb people–and here you all are in one convenient place.
Thanks, you answered the question about as well as I expected.
What a thoughtful intelligent answer.
Looks like my expectations were much higher than reality.
Why am I not surprised.
@2. Moho:
Here you can see hundred thousand Hondurans protesting against your kind of Communist thugs:

Here you can see the security cameras recording the looting of the Honduran Bank by your Commie thug:

Go ahead and try and dispute these facts.
If what any coup believers say is true that they should be able to factually disprove what is linked to below.

All,
vivo is a troll. He will not argue fairly or cogently. He sets up his own strawmen and then knocks them down.
Do not feed the troll.
Ignore the troll.
It might go away.
