I recall the same wrong-headed statement being made repeatedly during the Kennedy administration:
“What’s good for GM is good for America.”
That’s wrong. The correct statement:
“What is good for America is good for G.M.”
In a hyper-tangential segue and, as long as we’re talking Presidential iPod Presentation, one should check out the speculation made by CJ over at his blog, The Illustrated Conservative, that the iBama affair may well have crossed over the boundaries of copyright laws.
A far as I can see nothing is good for “Government Motors”.
We will be buying Ford next time we need a truck.
