They read their union contracts, and saw that their pay would stop if the ship was "off charter". Furthermore, there wouldn't be any overtime. And...they'd be restricted to ship when they hit Somalia. Poor pirate bastards didn't stand a chance under those conditions. That all aside, I'm immensely proud of our lads, some of whom I probably have sailed with, who showed that they have b@lls the size of church bells, and I hope that the Captain is released unharmed...because he has to make and sign the payroll. We're pullin' for ya, Cap'n!
