Cincinnati Station Says ‘No’ to PC Reporting on Racially Motivated Crime

The reporting took a surprising "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it any more" turn.

Maybe it was the fact that the county prosecutor’s son was among those assaulted. Or perhaps it was the perceived threat to the city’s most beloved fall event. Whatever the cause, Local 12 followed through on Dixon’s original outrage. The station didn’t sweep the larger story under the rug. It even introduced a word — “black” — into its June 12 video and print story which wasn’t in its or the Enquirer’s original reports.

Among the refreshing truths told — refreshing because, despite their ugliness, they represent the truth:

Local 12 Cincinnati Report on Black Teen Violence

(about the incidents at the Taste event)

11 victims filed reports saying they were kicked, punched or stomped by a group of black teenagers or young adults, boys and girls. Ten of the victims were white, one was Asian. Two reported racial slurs. Noelle Findlay was so certain the assault (on her and her husband while they were in their car) was racially motivated; the police report says “hate crime” … because she believes there was no other motive.

(on the general problem of black teen violence targeting non-blacks)

… Dr. John Wright, a criminal justice professor at UC (University of Cincinnati), said, “I think it is racist behavior, racist behavior when you target a group based on their race, sexual orientation, it’s the very nature of a hate crime.”

… “We are unwilling to speak about race when it comes to crime because it is a sensitive matter,” said Wright. “Allegations of racism ruins careers, ruin lives. The media remains silent or targets the people who bring up the issue.”

… Pastor Peterson Mingo of Evanston (a Cincinnati neighborhood) said, “Not too many ways to explain that behavior, have to condemn it, can’t be tolerated.”

Sociologists weighing in suggest high unemployment and resentment fueled by segregation are possible causes.

Mingo says there is something else, “There is a thing about loyalty. You with me or you ain’t. If you with me I’m getting ready to knock dude up side head lets go. It’s not where you can say I’m not going to. You’re either with me or you’re not.”

The station also has additional video of its interview with Dr. Wright, who minced no words:

Partial transcript:

If groups of white students, white kids, were running around, violating blacks, beating up black fathers, beating up 13-year-old black girls, there would be the hue and cry sounded. We would take it as seriously as we take anything else. Time magazine, the New York Times, everybody would cover this. Everybody.

… But if it’s turned the other way around, everybody is so afraid to speak about race and crime that they are silent. That silence is killing people. That silence allows this to continue.

But there can be no acceptable excuse for mob violence. None.

… The attorney general said that we’re “a nation of cowards” when it comes to speaking about race. At one level he’s right, but there’s a reason why people are uncomfortable talking about race and are uncomfortable talking about the dynamics of black behavior. Not all black behavior. Let’s be very clear about this. The vast majority of African-Americans are law-abiding people. … They deserve our support and encouragement. They deserve our protection.

… It’s better to be honest, even if the honesty is dirty, than to live a lie that is clean.

Author Colin Flaherty has been looking at black teen crimes targeting whites for some time. He has compiled a list of incidents “in more than a dozen cities around the country. Some fatal” — just this past Memorial Day weekend. His latest book ”documents more than 500 cases of black mob violence in more than 100 cities around the country.” The vast majority have barely made a media ripple — and when they do, the obvious racial element is deliberately ignored.

Local 12′s and Flaherty’s efforts at shining the light of truth are praiseworthy and important, but still far from complete. Two larger questions loom.

The first: What can be done to reverse the shocking growth in race-based hatred among blacks?

The second: Why have the nation’s first black president and his “nation of cowards” attorney general made virtually no attempt to attack this problem head-on?

From the time they enter public schools American children are taught by their very Left wing teachers that whites are always the guilty parties in black /white confrontations. These children then enter government controlled post secondary institutions where American Marxist professors pile on the white guilt narrative; then they go out and get jobs in the American media, a voice of the Marxist government. No surprise here.

"Why have the nation’s first black president and his “nation of cowards” attorney general made virtually no attempt to attack this problem head-on?"

Because it's racial retribution time. That's why.

This will keep happening until a group of these kids goes after a family in their car and the man is armed and opens fire. Then you'll see race talked about nationally - by racist liberals.

Welfare policies destroy marriage, since families on welfare cannot have a man living with them. Welfare is lucrative, so that many black women on it have children who are raised without fathers. Boys who grow up without fathers tend to be violent, and girls to be promiscuous. This is, I believe, that origin of the "knock-out" gangs which attack non-blacks.
Note that white racism is being blamed for the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo. He, too, was a thug like Trayvon Martin. And Attorney General Eric Holder is investigating this, with three members of the White House going to his funeral instead of going to the funeral of a General killed in Afghanistan. Incidentally, President Barack Hussein Obama is not an American Negro - he is not descended from American slaves.

The only coward we have here is Holder--he's the coward for not doing his job and pretending that blacks are the only ones covered by the equal protection clause in the Constitution.

My solution: offer anyone who wants it (but aimed at unemployed blacks who have been demanding reparation for years) a chunk of money if they will immigrate any where else in the world and never EVER come back to America. Say, $150,000 and they renounce their American citizenship, half paid to get them packed up and on a boat out of here and the other half paid upon their arrival where-ever the hell they decide to go. To which-ever country will agree to take them.

Then wave bye-bye, take them and their illegitimate bastard children off the welfare roles, erase all the names they have been voting under from the Democratic voting lists, and wait for them to blow through the cash, discover that NO one in the whole world respects them, and feel the joy of refusing to let them back in.

They will all starve to death and it would be a totally Darwinian death.

To address your concluding question: Why?
Because The President, and his AG, both subscribe to "Pay Back", and believe that "The Knock-Out Game" is a component.
We have become as much a tribal society as is Iraq.

I wonder if our education system has anything to do with this issue;

“In the United States at present, only whites can be racists, since whites
dominate and control the institutions that create and enforce American cultural norms and values . . . blacks and other Third World peoples do not have access to the power to enforce any prejudices they may have, so they cannot, by definition, be racists.”

"Sociologists weighing in suggest high unemployment and resentment fueled by segregation are possible causes."

Of course it will never occur to these moral cretins that desegregation was not only coincidental to the disintegration of black society, but caused it.

Cincinnati is a beautiful city. My family lives close. A train ride there through West Virginia's Greenbrier valley is breathtakingly beautiful. However I will never take the Amtrak to Cincinnati again - just too dangerous in the station area -neglible security.

Cincinnati made the same mistake as Chicago. HUD offered it a "deal" - tear down old housing projects and in return get free "Section 8" Housing vouchers. Cincinnati should have said no. Chicago should have said no. Now thousands, -perhaps tens of thousands of individuals have transplanted the worst of public housing behavior - violence, gangs, etc. all over the city, and violence is endemic in schools, shopping areas, sports areas, and street corners.

My brother's neighborhood has high crime now and also the 'Knockout Game". Several years ago a neighbor, a WWII veteran, got punched in the face and knocked down by a young man coming up the sidewalk. It was an inter-racial punch. Another neighbor and his "partner" were assaulted walking home from the restaurant area, punched, &. kicked. The kicks and thumps which sent those men to hospital in an ambulance were inter-racial.

This viciousness is not surprising to people to actually live in average "blue collar" housing neighborhoods of Cincinnati . These neighborhoods, where many of my college friends grew up, now are overrun with former Section 8 families. The violent kids influence other probably ordinary kids, likely very few have loving fathers in the home, and then you have this gang mentality like the Evanston pastor's comment.

My dad grew up in Evanston - the park there used to provide swimming lessons and team competiiton, tennis courts and teams, baseball fields and teams with city-paid youth coaches. It now looks like ruined Berlin in 1945.

Like Detroit, Cincinnati has had black mayors for years. Who is looking out for the black children of Cincinnati? Answer: Not the black mayors.

When did it become the black mayors' obligation to look out for the black children?

Those poor guys can barely steal enough for themselves as it is.

It's open season on the white man. Barack declared it. AG Holder enforces it.
Any questions?

Not only are they not attempting to fix the problem, I say the problem is growing exactly because of them.
