PalinTracker: Into the Breach!
Did you see Palin’s Tea Party speech in Wisconsin Saturday? The woman was on fire!
On Congress:
We didn’t elect you just to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic. We didn’t elect you just to stand back and watch Obama redistribute those deck chairs. What we need is for you to stand up GOP, and fight!
On the president:
The only future that Obama is trying to win is his re-election. He’s willing to mortgage your children’s future to ensure his own. And that’s not the audacity of hope, that’s cynicism. Piling more debt onto our children and our grandchildren is not courage! No, that’s cowardice.
Her battle cry made me realize what has been steadily sucking the oxygen out of the conservative movement since our big November win — a win that should have us still sallying forth in victory, but instead has left us demoralized and confused. We have no real leaders. Well, maybe we have a few real leaders, but right now we need an exceptional leader — we need Shakespeare’s Henry V, someone who not only has a plan, but has the courage and charisma to rally the forces he needs to see it through. And if you aren’t familiar already, go no further until you watch Kenneth Branagh’s St. Crispin’s Day speech.
What we heard in Wisconsin came closer by miles to Agincourt than anything yet heard from the lukewarm Establishment Republicans. Palin is a leader who can energize the conservative base.
What conservative wants to follow the electoral dictates of the media pundits, whether liberal or conservative? Who wants to listen any more to Romney or Huckleboy? Boring. Uninspiring. And you just know in your heart that once they got to Washington, they’d pull a Boehner on us — backing down at just the critical moment when a battle is what’s needed. They care too much whether people like them. They just don’t have the fire.
Seeing Palin take the fight to Obama recharged my batteries, gave me hope, made me ready for more. This is not the time to give up or slow down, despite the backpedaling of House leadership when it came time to stand up to an oppressive and duplicitous president. How hard it was for those of us in the ranks to see our opportunity to stand firm against Obamanomics evaporate because Boehner and Co. decided the Regime Machine would say bad things about them on the playground in the newspapers.
It’s a sad sight to behold: cringing men, afraid to stand up for what’s right. So what if their jobs are at stake? So what if people don’t like them? (There’s a phobia her cringing colleagues could take a lesson from Palin on.)
Convictions matter most.
Conservative Americans won the last election fair and square, except for the Senate, which we’ll take next time. And what may be even more important – witness Wisconsin – conservatives swept in majority governorships and statehouses. We are the majority.
There is no reason, no excuse for backing down.
I had high hopes for Boehner. Now he depresses me. We need a man to speak up, to stand up and deliver what we worked hard to lay the groundwork for. It’s as if after winning the battle, the troops saw their older leaders wave the white flag. We need someone, as Jan Brewer said, to man up.
We should rally around a woman who has proven herself able to rise above the insults, slander, and bullying, a woman who has stayed consistently on message and whose values are the same as ours. A woman who has the courage and charisma to rally the troops to go through the fire with her.
I never thought until I saw her speech yesterday that she could win. As PJM’s PalinTracker, I review hundreds of articles, columns, and video clips each month — mostly slander and unspeakable garbage. Just as you would never expect a victim dragged by a rope on the back of a pickup truck to survive, no matter how much I admired her, I was doubtful whether Palin — or any human being — could ever recover from the Propaganda Press’s misogynist drumbeat and lethal lies, not to mention the constant demeaning by RINO men.
But with yesterday’s speech, and with the lack of male leadership in the Republican Party, I’m ready to become a believer again.
After all, it was women who carried the Tea Party — women coming out of the conservative closet, organizing events, confronting the issues, and spreading the truth though blogs and social networks.
Now is the time to fight. Let’s support conservative women — all of whom have been subjected to the most vile hate speech we’ve heard in our lifetimes, and yet who’ve stood up and spoken the truth clearly and fearlessly.
We need to support, protect, and pray for these women, and raise hell with Republican men who are so eager to dismiss them: Rove and Gingrich and the sad cast of Tired Old Republican men who coulda-woulda-shoulda. In the end those self-important, self-appointed party bosses have all compromised politically and personally. And they’ve done nothing to save our country — even rhetorically — but sit on their ever-fatter behinds, doing talk shows and making believe they still have importance in the grand scheme of things.
They’ve had their chance. Now it’s the up-and-coming women and minorities (Allen West, Herman Cain) who will lead the way when it comes to conservative values and restoration of our country to the exceptionalism and pride it always deserved.
But it’s up to us to support them by once again doing our research, knowing the issues, using social networks, and seizing every opportunity we can to refute the mainstream lies. Time to stop being “moderate” and compliant with the Lamestream Media’s demands. We are now the counter-culture. We are now the hope and change.

I am all in with Sarah Palin as my pick for president. She has the right message and the ability to fire up the base. She can fund raise.
No more Mr. Milk toasts like Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, or Mitch Daniels.
Huckabee, while likeable, is another George Bush; socially conservative, but a big spending liberal.
Sarah is America through and through which is why both the Demons and the Rats both disparage her. If the Ruling Class doesn’t like her, you know she is the right one for America.
ELECTION after election…we get to chose between this political pansy or that political pansy.
Hell, I want an American with the guts of Palin and moxie of Trump to be my choice
NO MORE MILQUETOAST!!! JUST WAITING FOR THE NEXT ELECTION AND AFRAID TO STEP ON SOME STINKIN LIBERALS TOES!!!
On my candidate for president ledger I have two columns. The first column is the candidates sincere core platform. The second column is for electability. The first column is always pretty easy for me and often times garners no declared candidates names. The second column…. not easy by any definition.
Let me address the first column. Does the candidate have a ‘core’ [constitutional restoration] platform for the government…the Congress and the Executive? Thats it! If they do, that candidate makes my ledgers first column.
The second column. How do they fare with the ‘realities’ of becoming elected….AND succeeding with their platform? A tough call!
We have such a divided ideological nation and a government that two branches have surrendered the lines of their constitutional authorities. For decades it was routine for the majority population of voters to elect democrats. Since the 70′s it has vacillated primarily over defense and economic circumstance just as today but…..now add an extreme dose of social and capitalist ideological divide. I suspect, given the matrix of the past nearly two years and the beginning runup to the next election, the GOP will have some extreme self inflicted injuries to overcome as factual information comes to surface, as fodder for the taking. Additionally, until the heated GOP divisions are concretely settled for a single core platform, a GOP’ candidates electability is greatly diminished in the coming 2012 general election. Sad but true! The only thing that possibly could overcome this is, a remaining bad or diminishing economy and continued high unemployment, in which possibly, Obama could receive the negative ‘emotional’ vote like Bush handed the democrats in the 2008 election. Thats how I see it right now.
I view the congressional seats far more important than the presidency and will continue to believe that is the only place a genuine constitutional restoration can take place….if only the congress would restore and abide by their constitutional authorities of separate but equal powers over a limited government.
I find not one, potential GOP/Tea Party candidate thus far making my ledger!
So why spread your no vote message?
Your just not willing to admit that
Palin fills both columns perfectly OR
maybe you profit from the status quo.
Get prepared to tear up your ledger…you have no clue what you are talking about. If you can look at Sarah Palin and believe that she does not stand on Constitutional restoration then you don’t know what the words mean. She has been talking about how to do it for more than two years now and she means what she says…she has not backed off one iota. As for electability…if enough people pull the lever for her, she will win…she has just as much, if not more, of a shot as anyone else has of getting elected. And if she does get the GOP nomination she will take the White House away from Obama. Why do you think Obama called his union goons out to shout her down in Wisconsin? He is afraid of her, very afraid. And so it the establishment GOP which, in my book, is a very good thing!
Your Tea party folks are leaderless and can’t even agree with one another on what their unified core platform is to be. All they do is react and vacillate from one distraction to another while the socialists march on with a 120 year old core platform and objective. You simply do not prepare the battlefield with multiple conflicting objective priorities…if you want to seriously win.
Their strategy in 2010 was a great one! It took out all the critical moderate/conservative democrats, often GOP allies, of the House and the senate, leaving all the radical socialists in place. Even with a majority in both houses and the Executive, your Tea Party has no strategy for restoring the traditional base line economies in America….re-establishing high labor force demands and competitive products and services. They talk (rant) about small fiscal conservative government yet, they have NO rational strategy for such reform, implementation and transition. Their mantra is void of any sensible foreign relations and global threat strategy. They rant about the import ance of the constitution yet they have no strategy to actually use or amend the constitution to reform the government. The Tea party folks follows the empty rhetoric that government spending is the problem when in ‘fact’ the spending is not the problem. The modern day centralized and special interest driven government [system] that allows for the spending is the core problem!
Be as brazen as you want but, this much I can tell you with certainty! A divided nation does not survive and a divided party does not win! The ‘voices’ and ‘visuals’ of the Tea party has thus far further divided the nation and the GOP. One can debate the whole issue of Reagan as president but one thing most can agree on is, that his ‘voice of fatherly reason’ brought the nation together overall. The same could be said of the qualities of JFK. In my opinion, the voices of the Tea Party do just the opposite!
“……the voices of the Tea Party do just the opposite!”
It’s the voices of the “old gang” Republican Party that do the opposite. The question is, which side to unite with to get unity? To unite with the “old gang” and their policies would only postpone the “120 year” Democrat plan, not defeat it.
Patty I agree with you 110%.I was a fan of Palins from the start. I voted for Sarah its too bad she didn’t have a good running mate. IF she gets the nomination I will vote for and support her in every way I can, what I would love to see is a PALIN TRUMP ticket,
Please do your research on Donald Trump. He is a liberal! He’s given many thousands of dollars to Democrats, including Obama, and recently donated a huge sum to Rahm Emanuel’s mayoral campaign in Chicago. He was pro-abortion until quite recently. He’s gone bankrupt I lose count of how many times, and his personal life is a shambles. He is an imposter as a Republican, and is only diverting attention from decent candidates. If he runs as an independent, it will deliver the election to Obama. Indeed, I suspect that may be his real agenda, since he was a big Obama supporter in 2008.
It’s not the general election we are worried about…it’s the primary. So, vow to vote for her in the primary.
Her biggest hurdle will be vying for the nomination, as the GOP establishment will turn their big guns on her – they don’t want their sandbox disturbed. Once she gets the nomination, of course she’ll beat Obama. Barring voter fraud (of which there remains a high possibility), ANY GOP candidate will beat BO.
‘Ronald Reagan is too deviceive to be elected President. No one with his connections to the John Birch Society could ever gain the Nomination, let alone the support of a majority of Americans.’ (I think it was Neil Bush who said that in 1978)
He’s a has been Actor and a Doddering Old Fool. (A Hollywood leftist regarding Reagan in 1978)
Even Mort Sahl, who liked Reagan, “Let’s visit the Reagan Houshold, you have Nancy in the corner, Knitting a Flag.”
Start Leading, Start Standing for Something and people will respond. It is Trump’s attitude of -Playing To Win- that is making him more and more popular. Boehner seems to be -Playing to not loose- instead. And in the process of -not loosing- he’s loosing.
I have looked and looked, but I can find nothing from the October 2010 campaign saying anything about Pro-Rata! Zilch! Zero! Nada!
And simple math teaches that 72 is not 100.
61 is also not 100.
38 is definately not 100.
So what happened to 100???
When I was a Network Administrator at the Boeing Company I learned quickly that when you wanted to negotiate a budget with finance the first thing you did was (without them knowing or seeing) determine the amount you needed.
Next determine the amount you wanted. (For example Need = 18,000.00 Want = 25,000.00)
Next, add 40 percent to what you want. (Requested Budget = 35,000.00)
Now you can negotiate to a number somewhere between 18,000.00 and 25,000.00.
If I had been stupid enough to walk into that negotiation asking for 18,000.00 I’d have deserved what I got when I walked out with only 13,500.00!
If Boehner had been serious he’d have been in that negotiation with 250 billion in cuts on the table. And don’t tell me he couldn’t have found 250 Billion in duplicitous wasteful spending items to use as fodder. (Dick Morris identified 348 Billion.)
The 61 Billion figure, with the Pro-Rata spin/excuse told me he wasn’t serious to begin with. (that was on February 18)
It is time to quit calling capitulation success, and it was a capitulation because they didn’t have the where-with-all to do what was necessary to keep a campaign promise!
Most likely because they really didn’t want to.
That’s It! Period!
“Most likely because they really didn’t want to.”
Now we know for sure.
And, Oh By The Way;
Corporation for Public Broadcasting
National Public Radio
National Endowment for the Arts
Americorps
and
Planned Parenthood (A Hill they would have slaughtered the Dems on)
Are STILL Funded by the Federal Government.
Talk about Capitulation.
Obama gives inspiring speeches that fire up his base also, but, just like Palin, that’s all they are….speeches. Rhetoric is useless unless accompanied by actions and Sarah Palin has already shown by her actions a willingness to quit under pressure. The field remains empty.
Troll samd11. Go back to her speech at the time and listen to what she said. If I was being pushed into debt beyond half a million dollars and had no time to do the job thanks to the corrupt Obama machine, I would quit too. She got more accomplished in her term than most governors do in two terms. She has been smeared by the media and pundits since 08 and hasn’t quit yet. Just getting warmed up. In your heart you know Sarah will wipe the floor with the Pretender in Chief and bring an end to American National Socialism.
AMEN Gary.maybe sam only listens to what he wants to hear. or he thinks the rest of us are to stupid to comprehend what we read and hear from the left wing media and NUTS,I think Sarah did the correct thing quiting so as not to cost the citisens any more money defending her agains obummer and his huge proppaganda machine known as the SO called media. I no longer watc listen nor read the wraggs they turn out I only watch and listen to FOX,
That explains a lot. Maybe you should go back to school and learn how to spell. Fox and CNN are both a joke.
Equating CNN (Communist News Network) with Fox is ludicrous.
I don’t know who would win an Obama-Palin debate, but I’ll pick a loser: the United States of America.
TROLL
She quit after accomplishng the goals she ran on, after the left decided to spend the next year disrupting her and stopping her. She left the state with a surplus, forward funded education, got the gas pipleline organized and moving, forced the oil companies to start drilling at point Thompson.
May God grant us more such ‘quitters’.
AMEN William,
Actually Palin circumvented the Professional Lefts most successful political campaign tactic, using bogus lawsuits to indict-indict-indict your strongest politcal opponent to death.
Tactically brilliant really, she rendered the Professional Left politically impotent. It’s this impotence which gives reason to the vitrol relentlessly piled upon her.
“Sarah has already shown a willingness to quit under pressure”??? Oh, REALLY!!??!!
Sarah Palin left the Governorship for the higher good. The higher good has been, keeping the conservative message on the forefront of the news these past two years. Keeping The white house on it’s heels these past two years with her tweets and face book messages, and even being ahead of the curve alerting us all to death panels, quantitative easing and inflation. No other republican is more responsible for the historic midterm election win than Sarah Palin who worked hared and was involved more than any other potential GOP candidate. She did not quit, “she reloaded, for the higher good.
I hope she’s got a crack security detail, because if anyone ever had a target on them to be assassinated, it’s got to be lovely Sarah. The left is *still* frothing at the mouth over her, being incredibly vicious and sexist, while Boehner and the GOP Old Boy’s Club hate her a lot, too, for holding their feet to the fire.
Personally, I could get behind a Trump / Palin ticket. They’ve both got balls, and I’m sick to death of what is passing for “civilized discourse” both locally and nationally. I want to vote for someone with enough moxie to “damn the torpedoes”, and not in an Obama stupid way because he simply doesn’t know how torpedoes work.
And then once Sarah and The Donald are elected, they can put Breitbart in as Attorney General.
Trump’s voting base would pretty much be the cast of ‘Winterbone’ plus television addicted trailer home courts where they fight each other in cell phone gladiator bouts.
I’m not sure what kind of change they would want since they seem unable to think even 5 min. into the future and live their lives during commercial breaks.
Besides donating heavily to dems, vilifying George Bush as the worst president ever (until Obama got warmed up), gushing about Obama before the election AND thinking socialized medicine is swell, The Donald wouldn’t even admit to being a Republican until someone from the dem party approached him about being a stalking horse for his candidate in ’12.
As far as a great businessman, who do you know who goes broke TWICE while running casinos?
“I hope she’s got a crack security detail, because if anyone ever had a target on them to be assassinated, it’s got to be lovely Sarah. ”
I agree. And I suspect she does. Even her parents have been threatened. But she’s somewhat of a “crack security detail” all on her own. Which helps. I agree, she’s in danger if she runs, and more if she wins (which isn’t as impossible as many on the left – and the right think). (See Reagan and other comment her regarding him.)
Personally, she’s the only one in the present Republican lineup that I’d actually vote FOR (as opposed to holding my nose and voting ‘anyone but’).
And, I’m by no means the only one.
No you are definitely not the only one. I am another voter for Sarah P. and I wrote her in on the ballot last time, as I could not vote for McCain. Sarah appealed to me before she actually came on the scene, as I have a personal connection to Alaska and knew about her actions as a governor. Moreover, there isn’t much more demonizing that can be done by the Rinos, the media, the wanna-bes and the phonies in general, than has already been done of Sarah. If she doesn’t get the nomination, I know in my bones that Obama will be in for another 4 years. At the end of that term I fear there will be no more USA as we have known it. There is only about a third of the voting public that is sufficiently informed to make decisions that are good for the country. Sad isn’t it.
Trump’s recent outbursts lead to one conclusion. He is on a mission to ensure the re-election of Obama in 2012. How big the payoff? Who knows?
To put Trump on the same level as Palin is so stupid that it almost doesn’t warrant a reply. Trump has NO ethics or morals. He has cheated so many people out of the money he owed them through multiple bankruptcies that it makes Bernie Madof look like a priest. He has changed parties more times than Bloomberg and he has blasted everyone’s incompetence but his own. He has no core values but money and he would sell the USA down the river for the right price. Palin has two loves, her country and her family. Don’t ever lower her to the same level as this con man!
HEAR HEAR Nancy Gee, I am 110% for that,
Sarah’s voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard
So you will vote against her because she has a high pitched voice? Brilliant! What does that have to do with competence and the ability to lead and inspire? This is another version of the ad hominem.
I guess you like Obama’s ballsy voice? How ironic, the man with the ballsy voice doesn’t have any! And he can’t lead or inspire either. He’s a drone.
On the contrary, Sarah’s voice rises above the dull drone of the DC liberals, Main Street Media and Rinos and condemns them for what they are doing to us and we can hear her very clearly.
Put some contton in your ears and listen to what she says, not how she sounds.
It’s not a matter of whom WE would vote for, it’s a matter of that 30-40% of the electorate in the “mushy middle” — the uninformed, apathetic people who not only don’t read political websites, but don’t even watch TV news or read a newspaper. People who can’t tell you which party controls the House or the Senate, or how many Supreme Court justices Obama has appointed. These are the “independents” who decide presidential elections, and many of THEM are driven crazy by Sarah’s voice. I know it sucks, but it’s true.
I couldn’t agree more, it took my all to listen to that speech but it was sure as hell worth it. All the guys are pussies, except for Trump. The current house leader cries every time he steps on an ant and the rest all look like their mother just pressed them ready for church, a bunch of gutless losers.
yes SP would make a great president. she has honesty. …I think she will back Michele Bachmann for pres.
She was loud bc/ she had to be heard over the rent-a-mob leftists union thugs who were banging drums & ringing cowbells trying to drown her out. Palin is a fighter & doesn’t need to worry about the echo level of her microphone like Obama to prove her authenticity & promote the conservative message.
I’ve been a huge supporter of Sarah Palin since before she was even “discovered” by McCain, and I remain so today — more than ever. (Palin-West in ’12!)
Having said that, I know a lot of potential supporters who’ve got problems with her voice/diction/delivery.
So I think she should urgently get herself some discreet voice/speech lessons, to eliminate some of the high-pitched shrillness. There’s no shame in that — Margaret Thatcher took elocution lessons early on in her political career, to great and triumphant effect.
Sarah could easily be taught to lose the “nail-scratchiness” of her voice without any diminution of the power and impact of her message.
amen to that Jack! That would be a winning ticket. Both Palin and West have their firmly planted. May God grant us this favor.
Maybe so, but her words are music to my ears.
Have you heard Hillary’s voice?
Kinda funny in Wisconsin, 500 teabaggers surrounded by 5000 anti teabaggers.
I see Naysayer leaps into the breach to prove the truth of the Left being “morally bankrupt fools and bigots”. Nice to have confirmation of my point so quickly, thank you.
Kinda Funny in Wisconson Tea Party outspent 7 to 1 by Anti Tea Party win by 7,000.
Too bad they can’t call in Rent-a-Vote like they do Rent-a-Mob. (Oh wait, they did, but they didn’t know the correct number to phony up.)
Did you get your math from the Heritage Foundation? Go figure.
If so, that’s more than you’ve got.
Let’s see some liberal math. 200 some votes is very significant when Prosser loses, but 7500 some means nothing when Prosser wins. That’s a win when EVERYTHING the left has goes into an off year election and they have their political lives at stake.
And you lost.
Again, so what?
Naysayer R Gud Troll. Hrm Hrm Hrm.
Besides the obvious ad hominem attacks and the wild assertions based on wishful thinking, do you have anything to add to the conversation? Didn’t think so.
I am from Minnesota. I was speaking with a liberal friend about Sarah Palin, and she was ticking down all the typical talking points. I said, “I suppose the way she speaks and her accent either prove she is stupid or is fake?”
She replied, “Well, I want to say that, but that is how people in this area speak, so…”
I have to wonder just how many of the people who are labeling Palin as a “quitter” would have allowed themselves to be a stationary target while the vicious Left used Alaskan law to destroy them and their family by filing one empty “ethics” lawsuit after another. As far as I can tell, Palin has “quit” precisely one thing, after going against her own party more than once; she didn’t allow the State of Alaska to be harmed, and her family bankrupted, so she did what the fascists least expected–she stopped being a stationary target.
Do you think a ‘quitter’ would have continued to endure what she and her family has put up with? Would a ‘quitter’ have run the gauntlet yesterday at Madison? She not only endures it–she does it in a fashion and a style that makes them look like then morally bankrupt fools and bigots that they are.
If Palin runs, she has my vote.
Any way you slice it she a QUITTER.
Well, it seems pretty clear that it’s not much of an issue: you might take note that the media gave up on this meme a while back. But, hey, if you get off on it….go for it.
I don’t usually resort to ad hominems but you are a moron.
Nah, she’s no quitter. Knowing that she personally was the target for the baseless attacks the organized Left were making which was endangering both the state of Alaska and her family’s future, she made a considered and prudent decision to step away from a job she loved, drawing the fire with her. She was right to do so; the attacks followed her, allowing the state of Alaska to get on with business.
It takes a brave, secure, and unselfish person to step away from a position that they enjoy, in the best interests of others. She knew she would be labeled a quitter. She did it anyway, because she knew it was the best and right thing for the state of Alaska and for her family.
Slicing it. She had two choices. Stay and watch as her ability to govern was destroyed by frivolous ethics complaints which she had to defend with her own funds. Or resign and make millions while leading the opposition to the ruinous policies of this incompetent administration.
She obviously showed terrific judgement and those who say otherwise are not just partisans, but stupid partisans.
She was really quitting today Huh? I’ll bet there are a ton of Demorats that wish she had stayed gov of Alaska. Man oh man, with a quitter like her old “IBD14U” will walk back into the WH!
Advancing in another direction is not the same as quitting. I’m sure you’ll agree if she advances to the White House.
If you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Palin could not handle the heat so she left. It could be she left to make lots of money from fox and other speeches. You would not want something like governing a state to get in the way of your money making opportunities. If you accept the nomination to run as VP, you have voluntarily put yourself in the spotlight. That is how the game goes.
Yes, because as we all know, holding a government position, or sucking on a government’s tit at any level, is the highest calling in life.
In “Can’t stand the heat” you mean like Obama and his college grades? Or maybe his birth certificate? Or the fact that he told the press to lay off his wife and daughters or else? Or the fact that he played his 64th round of golf today while hiding from THREE wars? Or the fact that he LEAVES the country whenever there are serious negotiations at hand? Or the fact that he starts a war without telling anyone in Congress that might yell wait a minute? Or flip flops whenever it serves his purposes? Yeah, maybe old Sarah can’t take that kind of heat what with her family smeared untruthfully by everyone on the left, and every aspect of her private life exposed to the world. Yeah, she has withered hasn’t she? Man, if she could only take the heat! And as for your “Anyone accepting the VP spot knows how the game is played”. Oh really? Did you hear anything about Obama and his lying book that he didn’t write? Not one fact checker bothered to look into the lies and wrong information he put out with his buddy Ayers. Did you read anything about his wife and her anti white thesis in college? Did you read anything about his daughters? Did you read about just ONE woman from his past coming forward to tell us what a great man he is? Oh hell, did you read about one MAN saying the same thing? Do you know how many people came forward to tell anyone who would listen how great and tireless Sarah Palin is? You might do well to compare your idol with Bill Clinton but don’t even think of Palin and Obama at the same time unless you want your head to explode!
Do you really think the pressure would be any less if she were elected POTUS. the problems she had as Governor would be multiplied. If she could not handle the pressure as a governor she will not be able to handle to pressure of POTUS.
Again, you assume that she left because she couldn’t “handle” the pressure, and yet, in your initial post, you propose a possible alternative. Prove your assumption: that requires knowledge of her state of mind. So, prove it. I don’t think you can. As far as your implied assertion that she would resign the presidency: you can’t prove the first order proposition; any further speculation on your part is meaningless. Now, if you respond to this by falling back on the alternative scenario in your first post, see my response above amended to remind you that we live in a republic with backups and that we don’t elect intermediaries to intercede with gods. Responding, might point to your followup post below in which you assert her lack of electability: Well, that’s hardly an original speculation, Brian. And, it is just that, speculation: place your money on the ponies kiddo, they’ve got this newfangled thing called the Iowa Markets – just the ticket for you. However, if you’re going to speculate in print, at least make it original, if not interesting.
First, nothing you say about Obama changes the fact that Palin quit her job. I am not saying she did not have good reasons to quit, or that I think less of her as a person, but she did quit. She ran to be Governor, which had a 4 year term and left half way through, and you can excuse that however you want. Also, the fact that you know Obama is playing his 64th game of golf means that someone is reporting that. Unless you stalk him, and take note every time he goes Golfing. I also remember a certain reverend coming up in the election, so clearly he was in the media. Second, there is no chance that Palin can win the general election, no matter how much you love her. Not to mention I think she will get leveled in the Primary.
“…willingness to quit under pressure …”
So when the British evacuated Dunkirk, to live to fight another day, that was “quitting under pressure”?
Or when George Washington retreated across New Jersey, you would have called him a “quitter under pressure” … only to have him come rowing back across the Delaware River to defeat the red coats.
And when Martin Luther King and the black and white marchers for desegregation retreated in front of the attack dogs and fire hoses, they obviously were also “quitting under pressure” and were unworthy in your little universe.
I have to assume with your snipey snarky little comment that you’re a liberal troll, and therefore deserve neither attentionn or respect.
Don’t let your assumptions get ahead of you. You are quick to name me a liberal troll, but the fact is I could be an independent troll in which case you have deeply offended me.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Big Baby is offended.
Or you could just be a thumbsucking troll. Let’s test that independence: would you agree that this is the worst political class in the last 60 years with Obama, Reid, Peolosi, Graham, Boehner to name just a few competing for top honors; that the vast majority of Republicans, Democrats and the policies they front are mind numbingly contempible? If you can’t say it and mean it, you’re not independent; you’re nothing but a troll and a shill who’s been lugging around a lot of useless tissue and dead weight on your sholders.
Dear Naysayer,
I do not, and never have assumed you to be a liberal.
I have concluded you are a liberal based on the evidence you yourself presented.
Simply put: No Independant would ever refer to the Tea Party using the Prejoritive that you deciced to use. In fact most mainstream liberals will not. Only a hard core leftist would do so.
Your problem is that you are still living in the days of CBS, NBC, ABC when you could get away with saying you were indipendant or moderate while in fact you are a genuine Hard Core Leftist.
It’s as plain as day!
I hope I offend you, too. You are not only a troll, but you are more likely a Marxist troll than a fence sitting Independent troll. But a troll is a troll and the only question is who pays you to be a troll on this blog site?
You’re saying Palin ‘retreated’?
To where, towards what purpose?
Does she have good interior lines?
She has good exterior lines, with her assets properly placed in defilade and salients.
I think we should call her ‘The General’ from now on.
And ask her to speak in a slightly lower register so as not to annoy pets or interfere with extremely long wave radio transmissions to our submarine fleet.
sarah palin went into attack mode, mr. may, and her voice is just fine
6. The Naysayer
Kinda funny in Wisconsin, 500 teabaggers surrounded by 5000 anti teabaggers.
=============================
I suppose you know that “teabagger” is a term describing a sex act between two men. Why do you feel it is necessary to use that term? What’s the matter with the terms supporters and protesters?
I suppose you know that they coined TEABAGGER as their namesake until they realized what it really meant. The terms supporters and protesters just doesn’t have the same ring to it, besides I know that it pisses people like you off when I say TEABAGGER.
It’s kind of sad actually. You can’t see how pathetic you are. You haven’t pissed anyone off, you’ve only proven how immature you are. Keep trying though. We can use the occasional laugh at your expense.
Or maybe the Naysayer is also on the Obama Dole. He or She sounds very much like those bought and paid for talking heads on TV. And there are a bunch of them on the “news” cable channels. Don’t believe me? Check ou Fox News and CNN with your eyes open. The other alphabets don’t rise to the level of serious propagandists.
All it mean is we’re not up on our perverted slang. You, however, seem to be an expert in perverted slang. Congratulations.
And when you’re a tenth as successful as Sarah Palin, let us know so we can give you about ten percent more credibility than we’re giving you now, which is approximately zero percent.
little trollie is upset because little trollie is getting facerolled by teabaggers
Not that I wish to belabor a tedious & stupid point, but “teabagger” was NOT “invented” by Tea Partiers – it was a pejorative handed down from that intrepid gay cable news personality, Anderson Cooper (who ought to know…). Anyway, it still has a nasty ring to me; but, if like other “bad” words that are used to death, it becomes just ho-hum, I’m still going to refer to our great patriotic movement as Tea Partiers – so, there!! Naysayer can go teabag himself…
No they didn’t. Of course, the redcoats meant Yankee Doodle as an insult–one also proudly adopted.
‘…they coined TEABAGGER as their namesake until they realized what it really meant.’
Naysayer, they did no such thing. This statement reveals you to be a liar. There is no reason whatsoever to assume that if you lie about one thing, you do not lie about another. As such, you now bear the liar’s burden. Every statement you make in any venue including dinner at grandma’s will be always be filtered through the likelihood that nothing you say can ever be trusted.
Then I’ll say it: I’M A PROUD TEABAGGER!!!
There. I say, pre-empt the liberal name-callers by grabbing the epithet right out of their mouths. (I’m also a bitch, a honky, and probably a couple other things.)
Just to clarify – any gender can be teabagged, but only a guy can do the teabagging.
LOL – Great minds think alike…and so do ours.
I think what Brian is saying is BTDT!
Umm, just to clarify, a man and a woman can also perform that particular act. It does not have to be two men.
the curious thing is that teabagging started as the sexual act but that is old news
teabagging is now about completely humiliating and degrading the one who is teabagged
therefore, conservatives are “pwning” the lefties by teabagging them
i find it odd that the libs would defang/declaw themselves of such a pejorative
Palin is the only one in the GOP that truly has a pair. The rest all squat to urinate. The tired old fools running the GOP all remind me of Neville Chamberlain or Jimmy Carter.
Their ilk are totally worthless. Just look what they gave us-Dole, McCain, & the Bushes. Palin is a true conservative of the people. Not some panty waste trying to score points w/ CNN & the fools in DC.
She’s about the only one in the GOP with anything & worth voting for. The rest of them could not find their posterior end with a search party, a flashlight & a mirror. But they would find a way to “compromise” w/ the democrats.
Neville Chamberlain. YES! I thought the very same this morning, that Boehner was just another Chamberlain, only WORSE. At least with N. Chamberlain we know he had the recent history of the carnage of WWI as prologue to his reticence to face off with Germany’s Chancellor.
But Boehner? He either has accepted the socialist drift — becoming daily more a free-fall — or is clueless and/or ball-ess.
One long-time journalist(see http://www.breitbart.tv/palin-wows-wisconsin-tea-partiers-with-blistering-speech-to-obama-you-ignored-us-in-2010-you-cannot-ignore-us-in-2012/)chides Tea Partiers’ impatience with Boehner and says we should focus our ire on the RAT (my word, not his) in the oval; and I say this: we sent a mandate to DC last November, that in no uncertain terms we DEMAND rollback of the commie project. Well, Boehner is OUR VOICE, HE IS US, because we can’t be there ourselves to take on the entrenched left nor Obama in particular. But instead, Boehner pulled a big boo-hoo on us, disrespecting the electoral gains FROM WHICH HE BENEFITTED, and chose the appeasement road, a road we warned him WE are NOT on.
He deserves whatever ignominious future that awaits him
My big mistake: the Breitbart link to Palin speech was an error. I meant to reference this: http://spectator.org/archives/2011/04/15/save-wrath-for-obama#commentcontainer.
Sorry.
As King Xerxes once said about his general Mardonius, “my men seem to have turned into women & my women into men!” Ditto the GOP.
The American National Socialists have an army of trolls to comment every time a blog mentions Palin. All those “I like her but she can’t get elected” posts are an example of these trolls or fools who have bought the socialist line on the person Obama fears most.
Once you use the term “Teabagger” you autmatically aquire the name Kommiecrat robot and the only use you have is to recognize the name and then move on to the next comment.
The Kommiecrats failed in WI. They should have quit but instead stayed to insult, litter and antaganize Americans.
Gov Palin POTUS in ’12
Col West House Speaker in ’12
Sen Rubio Majority Leader ’12
You must have a lot of fun making this S_ _T up. You are a funny person.
a.k.a. “I know you are but what am I?”
Way to bring the level of discourse onto a higher plane. Your masters would be proud of you…
I am all for Sarah. I plan to support the tea party movement fully in the coming months. We need to remind the gutless wonders in DC that they are not doing their jobs unless reform entitlements and cut spending significantly.
“I had high hopes for Boehner.”
Yeah that was error one. Having any hope of solving this nation’s problems until all conservative accept that the Social Democrats in government are our mortal enemies. This concept of esteemed colleagues across the isle is dangerous nonsense. Until this becomes the base premise any attempt at saving this Republic is a fools errand.
Some things make me happy, and Sarah is one of them. She possesses a focus a passion and love for our country and for God that is an inspiration. Thank God for Sarah at this time in the history of the U.S.A. and the world. A woman president? You bet.
I’m not ready to write Boehner off, I think he has done pretty well so far. Strong women in the R party–Palin, Cheney, Bachman–have a chance, unlike those in the D party, who will always be last in line in the hierarchy of identity politics.
Palin gave a great speech in Wisconsin. Whether she runs or not only a fool would underestimate her.
Just my $0.02, we need to be united to get Obama out of the White House. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize–our country. Our future.
So, how about uniting behind Sarah Palin? She makes the rest of the class of clowns look like what they truly are, PHDS from the political actors school. Donald Trump? Mike Huckleberry? Buddy Roemer?
Go Sarah, it’s time to get it on for real.
So, how about uniting behind Sarah Palin? She makes the rest of the class of clowns look like what they truly are, PHDS from the political actors school. Donald Trump? Mike Huckleberry? Buddy Roemer?
Go Sarah, it’s time to get it on for real. You’ve got a country to try to save.
I was inspired the first time I saw Sarah speak and remain so. It is so sad to see so many who think they are free thinkers give evidence on this blog of how effectively the liberal media and Rinos have been in demonizing her. Wake up people, your attitudes are being framed by the liberal media and you can’t even see it.
Who chose Boehner, any way? I don’t understand how those things work but surely with an incoming freshman class made up significantly of Tea Party representatives, they could have found someone a little more conservative (and willing to fight Obama-ites and union thugs) than this representative of handsome beagle dogs.
Can we recall or repeal him?
at the start of every new congress the speaker is “elected”
but the senior members (much like mob bosses and “union” bosses) cajole the young pups into voting for the “seniors” since, apparently, the sole reason for staying in congress is to get these perks of leadership
remember, when congress convened there was soaring optimism and not many were thinking that boehner the rino would be such a wuss
Just a friendly reminder! Special interest groups runs the congress…both sides of the isle.
“isle” – a lump of land surrounded by water. See Great Britain. Or Japan.
“aisle” – an open path through a bunch of desk or seats. See theaters or Congress or a football stadium.
“both sides of the aisle” as used regarding DC would more than likely be “both sides of the open path through a bunch of seats between the Democratic side and the Republican one”.
Please don’t give the lunatic left any more ammunition to call us dumb than they may think they already have.
Thanks professor! Maybe I should consider changing party’s since a grammer slip up is condemned by the Tea Party/GOP now. Way to go for building unity around important issues of the day!
T.T.
“party’s” should read “parties” and “grammer” is spelled “grammar”
T.T.
Your talk of unity is falling on deaf ears. You previously disparaged the Tea Part by saying they are fracturing the Republican Party. If your idea of unity is that all support the “old guard” then you lost me. By supporting the old guard Republicans, we are only postponing the communization of the U.S., not defeating it. If that is your intent, then by all means, join with the Democrats.
Sarah Palin has the right instincts, it’s very evident with every move she makes. We need those instincts in the Presidency.
Game On!
I am glad the writer is back on board with Palin. It is easy to buy into the Leftist memes that she is “unelectable” and a “quitter”. They apply these labels the way high-schoolers use such slurs to marginalize others. It keeps the good ones out. Women are especially prone to buying into this approach. It is how they fight… with sharp tongues, not fists.
Now, Palin gives a barn-burner of a speech and you are reminded of why we like her: Leadership. You look around the GOP landscape, and you see minimal leadership. There are legislators, but no statesmen. You are reminded of exactly why you are depressed about the political scene.
Palin speaks, and you are back into the fight. You start hoping again that she’ll run for President.
It is ridiculous how women will simply not get solidly behind another woman. All this talk about wanting to see a woman President… well, here is one who is a serious contender. All she really needs is for women to decide they have found the new Queen Bee and to get behind her. No more wavering. Here’s your girl. She is your best hope for a woman President in your lifetime. What the heck are you waiting for?
Marc -
for the record, I never thought she was a quitter. I thought she was a hero for having the courage to do what needed to be done regardless of how she would be judged.
As for your stereotype of women, count me out. As I explained, my perspective was skewed by the fact that my job requires me to sift through everything on Palin and it was somewhat disorienting – especially over the last couple months when she’s been keeping a low profile.
When it comes to conservative women, please try not to patronize. This is what happened during the anti-war movement and that unleashed all kinds of demons. Let’s keep it mutually respectful and focused on victory.
I could quibble here, but I will accept your explanation. (How noble of me!)
However, it is not a stereotype. Human behavior is what it is. Some folks do rise above the primitive, primate, pack behavior, but most do not.
Women rise to power in most other cultures, but not here. Americans are very competitive, and that applies to the women as well. Women should be screaming at the treatment of Rightwing women. To quote Bob Dole, “Where’s the outrage?” Women outnumber men. They vote more than do men. Where’s the woman President? Do you see it anywhere in our future?
In 2008, women made up 60% of the delegates at the Dem nominating convention. Hillary, who had considerable backing, could not even get onto the ticket. The deal was made in the backroom by the boys, and the women went along.
Women made no outcry against this slug Obama, when he literally gave both Hillary and Palin the finger.
Did the independent women vote for reach-across-the-aisle, old-white-guy McCain with his gorgeous female running-mate, or did they get all wet and vote for the handsome brown man with his old-white-guy running-mate?
Whitman, a really good candidate lost. Same for Fiorina. Angle and O’Donnell got crushed, too. The more national the focus, the more women turned on the women running. Women only win when the race stays quiet and local. The moment the women go big-time, the slurs come out, and the women turn against other women reaching real prominence. Crabby.
Maybe Ann Coulter is right. Maybe women shouldn’t vote, and least until they get past their high-school mentality and stop competing for the best males all the danged time.
Sorry to sound like a feminist at some points. I am not one. I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of women, because of the price we all pay for it. Women gave us Barrack Hussein Obama. Nice work, ladies. Now, how about you make up for it, put on your feminist hats, and give us Madame President Palin?
It’s not always smart or accurate to lump people & genders by “types” and behaviors assigned to those types, etc. And in this case, you paint with a VERY wide brush, indeed. In fact, we could turn the tables on you and start pidgeon-holing you, too – especially after your running off at the mouth has given us (women) a lot of so-called “evidence” with which to fashion an equally false profile of you, too!
I tend to agree with you, however, about the dames on the Left – and the femi-nazi NOW types who (1) condoned Clinton’s mysoginistic behavior because he had the “right” political beliefs, and (2) then abandonned Hitlery (or HillButt) for Mr. Snakeoil Salesman of the Year. And even though there were many who believed that Clinton would have been a better POTUS, remember, she’s a real acolyte of Alinksy and only turned down a job (or internship) with him in Chicago so she could follow Bill back to AR and a job in a fancy law firm before getting to be First Lady of the Ozarks.
And now we’ve all seen her wretched performance as Sec. of State – alternately a**s-kissing the world of Islam and then choosing which dictators to overthrow – even defying that strange character, Defense Chief Gates! All in all, we’ve seen her pander to and support all the worst leftist/socialist/crappy foreign policy decisions – either on her own steam or on marching order from her feckless boss.
Sadly, I have to agree with Marc…and I am a middle aged woman. Too often during previous elections I have seen my female friends ignore the issues until the very last moments, if not the very last seconds before the chose their candidate. And even more often I have seen them chose on the candidates looks or one single thing the candidate said…and 2008 followed that scenerio pretty fully. BUT NO MORE! This year every female I know is wide awake and paying very close attention. They are not commenting on Mitt’s oiled hair or Huckabees great weight loss techniques or how handsome Obama is…they are talking about the strength Palin has shown in the face of attacks by the left and the right. They are talking about Rove shilling for the establishment! They are angry because O’Reilly treats her with distain he does not show male candidates! They are going to TEA party events and carrying signs and getting ready to vote TWO YEARS ahead of the election! I am very proud of my fellow females and I think the whole country is going to hear from us very, very soon! Palin 2012 because she WILL stand!
Marc I agree 110%. you might have lumped oprah winfry in there. I used to respect her untill she pushed obummer off on us. now I will not allow her on my television, she was the one who convinced the women to vote for obummer. I doubt if I will live long enough to vote for another democrat,
“heroes” don’t quit.
q: precisely what would palin plan on doing were she to end up in the white house only to, omg, find the heat turned up full blast on the shailey and trig controversies?
a: quit.
not what this country needs right now.
good grief you moron, there is no Trig “controversy”.
You cannot legally do to the President of the US what was done to the Governor of Alaska with ethics complaints and FOIA requests, and even if you could, the President would not have to personally finance their own defense.
Why don’t you learn something before you open your yapper and reveal your complete ignorance.
Erm… excuse me? I just checked again. I’m most CERTAINLY a woman (unless some miracle happened before I was old enough to notice). And I’d vote Sarah Palin all day long vs. any of the present Republican “contenders.”
Sarah’s gonna announce soon and instantly replace The Donald in the lead.
I disagree with the first part.
I think she is going to wait until absolutely the last moment, when she believes that the announcement will have the most impact, and leave the MSM the least amount of time to focus on her, to the exclusion of the other Republican candidates.
Put another way, she will wait until the Republican alternatives wear themselves out, and/or manifest their own inability to “rally the troops.” She will respond to what she will perceive as the vox populi–the groundswell of demand for the real leader she has already shown herself to me.
ugh…
last sentence: “…she has already shown herself to BE.”
:-/
I agree…she is going to wait. The day she declares she will suck the oxygen out of other campaign and just like the day McCain announced he had chosen Palin as his running mate, things will start flying! Donations will pour in, volunteers will hit the streets running, the presses will be in overdrive and the pundits will start talking. But this time she will have the means to refute the accusations, she will be in control of the issues and vindictive interviewers will not throw her off her game. She has been through the fire and come out the other side stronger and ready to roll. Let the games begin! Palin 2012
An excellent piece by Ms Curtis. However, the phrase “Once more onto the breach, dear friends, once more” does not appear in the St Crispian’s Day speech but in an earlier speech by King Harry. I can understand why she chose to link to the St Crispian’s Day speech instead, since it is seen as one of the best motivational speeches of all time. But don’t miss out on the Harfleur speech. In the clip linked below the scene ends with a rare depiction of 15th century English RINOs.
Shakespeare’s Henry V Act III, Scene I by Laurence Olivier
Oh my goodness! I love that speech too and originally cited both, but then edited it out to keep things simple.
But I missed the parallel to the RINOS. You made me laugh so loud my kids came running to find out what was going on
Hear Hear!
Bravo!
Bravo!
Right on Woman, Right on!
This is a very well written 1st rate top notch piece. I love the tenor and message. Its stuff to believe in, just like a natural born leader like Sarah Palin.
It is time to rise above the misogamy and hatefulness. If we are branded extremists radicals and outlaws for sticking up for our Liberty and Prosperity, if Sarah has the grit and courage to have our backs in the face of such vile hatred, so be it, it is a badge of honor I’ll wear by my heart and be proud for it. Mrs. Palin has had my back from the get go, she damn well is the only one that’s a fact, well I got her’s, you can bet on it. Outlaw Jose Wells said it straight.
“…now remember, things look bad and it looks like you’re not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. ‘Cause if you lose your head and you give up, then you neither live nor win. That’s just the way it is.”
Well I got plans to do neither, loose my head or give up. And I just know without any doubt Sarah Palin is all that and then some.
You Go Girl!
It’s so funny. “Quitter” is all the trolls have. What’s going to be more fun to watch: Sarah smacking down the GOP machine, or Sarah humiliating Obama?
“What’s going to be more fun to watch: Sarah smacking down the GOP machine, or Sarah humiliating Obama?”
GOP machine. Nowadays, almost everyone is humiliating the POTUS. (Sigh. He just makes it so easy…)
I hope the trolls are still here! I never get discouraged when The ‘Cuda “goes dark” for a couple weeks at a time. That’s the time the commies should be really afraid. She’s getting her army in position. She’s rather like the rattler on the Gadsden flag. Just when Barky least expects it, she strikes at his skinny, tapeworm-ridden flank.
Despite trollspeak 101, it is obvious that Sarah is the one doing the pi$$ing off and getting under their skin. When she succeeds, their puffed up heads will explode. That’ll be truly hilarious.
From a purely tactical perspective your point is the one most often overlooked in assessing the potential success of a Palin candidacy. People forget, or overlook, the effect that GWB had on Gore and then Kerry in their campaigns. He had a way of bringing out the worst characteristics in both: neither could deal with the fact that they were struggling against him. Go back and watch the first Gore-Bush debate with the sound off and you’ll see what I mean: Gore’s body language dripped of condescension – that set a tone he never recovered from. While her negatives remain considerable, she has the greatest potential of any candidate announced so far to discomfit Obama and knock him off his game simply because she wouldn’t defer to the extent others would while he presumes his superiority to her in all things. But, he’s never really been stressed in a very public setting from which he can not escape and I don’t think anyone should assume he would handle it well. If I were on the stage in one of these televised “debates” with Obama, I think I would sucker-punch him by ignoring the format and drilling him with questions of my own choosing: Grab control away from the media mavens and force him to choose between going off trail or hiding behind the media handlers. My guess: that thin veneer of coolness would quickly melt away.
Edgar Cayce, a world renowned psychic in the twentieth century, who was also known as, “The Sleeping Prophet” had this to say when asked the question below while in a self induced state of sleep –
Question :
In what form does the Antichrist come, spoken of in Revelation?
Answer:
In the spirit of that opposed to the spirit of truth. The fruits of the spirit of the Christ are love, joy, obedience, long-suffering, brotherly love, kindness. Against such there is no law. The spirit of hate, the Antichrist, is contention, strife, fault-finding, lovers of self, lovers of praise. Those are the Antichrist, and take possession of groups, masses, and show themselves even in the lives of men.
I presume you have some sort of point, but I’m damned if I can see what it is. Unless your point is “I believe in psychic horsecrap.”
problem with antichrist accusations is that the true antichrist will be able to manipulate and appeal to everyone
obama, or even bush for that matter, barely appeals to 40% of the country while the rest despise him (even with the msm)
however, i will be willing to describe the philosophy of statism (with their promises of utopia on earth) as satanic
Thanks Barbara, excellent post. “…we need an exceptional leader…” so true, Sarah Palin is the complete package, her life’s journey so far will make her a great President.
God bless and protect all who support and defend Sarah Palin the next President of The United States of America and her family.
You roar, Curtis, you roar!!! I’m all in for supporting Palin.
What ever happened with the ‘core’ Palin/TeaParty mantra of doing what is necessary to return the government to its constitutionally intended size and authority? Is she becomming just another ‘polished’ politician with empty rhetoric void of any [core] platform?
What makes you think anything happened to it? Try to be specific. BTW, I’ve had time to reply to your blithering over here.
http://pajamasmedia.com/ronradosh/2011/04/12/ryans-hope-and-change/#comment-149055
Perky….sorry, I don’t need to be led to or by your blathering or anybody elses. I can reason for myself having been around for decades longer then you.
Thats the problem with todays generations! They’re led by the ‘blathering’ of idiots who follow other idiots….you get the point? They haven’t the capacity to observe and reason for themselves, thus, they all the self professed intellectuls and philosophers who are never short on referencing others.
I would be more than happy to be more specific IF you could provide the Tea Partys ‘strategic’ objectives to effect their many stated positions and objectives. Please don’t come back to me with the ‘voting in conservatives’ mantra! The modernday centralized and special interest driven government [system] that allows for the spending is the core problem!
Talk is cheap and more often empty when people don’t have any precise core platform and ‘workable’ strategy.
“It took out all the critical moderate/conservative democrats, often GOP allies, of the House and the senate, leaving all the radical socialists in place. Even with a majority in both houses and the Executive, your Tea Party has no strategy for restoring the traditional base line economies in America.”
No, the voters kept them in place. How many moderate/conservative Democrats voted for Obamacare and the stimulus packages? And I will reiterate again, for Rebublicans to get in bed with Democrats will only postpone the communization of the U.S. from the 120-year Democrat plan (your estimate).
For your information, the Tea “Party” is not a political “party” in the true sense of the word. They are a loose group of local organizations that support “conservative” Republican candidates. If the most conservative of the Republican candidates were to be a RINO, they would support him. The decision is made at the local level. Their main objectives are fiscal responsibilities by local and federal governments and fighting against ever increasing taxes. They have no international strategy and leave that up the the “old Guard” Republicans. Just getting Republicans into Congress does not guarantee good fiscal government. Just look at what happened under Bush.
It’s amusing to me that some people still say she’s a quitter. IMO, their talk is just wishful thinking. She’s been spearheading the opposition to the Left, and putting forward solutions to the country’s problems. That’s why she is attacked constantly. I know the Obama regime wishes she would quit.
Ignore the liberal morons that crawl out from under their rocks whenever Palin’s name is mentioned. The stench of their fear is rolling through the democratic ranks. Ain’t it wonderful! Thanks Sarah.
I have to agree with you, Barbara.
Boehner acts like he’s “whipped”. And he’s the best that the Republican Party could stand up for this job?
Whimpering doesn’t get the job done. If it did, Pelosi would be whimpering at every session. And Obama would certainly whimper at the feet of our enemies. Can Harry Reid whimper? just give him a chance.
True Americans are people of substance. Obama has proven, time and time again, he is not. Substance is as foreign to him as a hard days work.
Palin is REAL PEOPLE.
She has tasted, and endured, the day to day assaults of the Democrat/Socialist Media, and is surviving. That is a commendable feat in itself, and has become a basic qualification for the job.
This same Democrat/Socialist Media has viciously attacked her every basic belief, and come up lame. Their most contrived dissertation, could not discredit her.
Sarah Palin deserves a place in the administration of American Government. Either as a President, or other valuable, “American Principles” executive.
It’s easy enough for me to see, why Obama’s guinea pigs suck up as much as they do.
GOOD GOD, BARBARA!
I just read your BIO; Why aren’t you out there alongside Sarah?
I can see you have plenty of ‘real life’ administration experience of your own.
Congratulations; And God bless.
Walid Shoebat, former Palestinian bomber turned Christian, is convinced that Islam is the Anti-Christ. It does make sense. That looks to be the showdown we are headed for in the Middle East.
We have a few others like Chris Christie, Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio who feel they aren’t ready. However, now is the time to act, not four years from now. The country needs leadership now, not on their schedule. I’d like to see primaries with Palin, Paul, Rubio, Cain, West, and Christie. These six are the intellectual and fighting soul of conservatism and the Republican party.
We don’t need the next John McCain. We don’t need a sideshow barker like Trump. We do need these serious leaders to step up to the biggest challenge of this political generation.
Agree. Mitch Daniels also has my support, hope he runs.
She’s got my vote! In fact I’ll volunteer, donate, display signs and try to ask everyone I know to give Gov. Palin a “fresh” look not through the media and political pundits but directly from her. Asking all to compare her record to President Obama.
President Obama, the prez to bring us $5 a gallon gas and then say there really is little he can do to change that! The president who borrows money that he gives to Brazil for offshore drilling and then tells them we’ll be your best customer. The president who has pitted Americans against follow Americans and really has no interest in uniting the country. The president the is not securing our borders.
It’s going to be easy to vote for Palin!
Donald Trump is a gambling casino “manager”. How in the hell is this name esteemed to be thought of as “presidential material”. Has a feverish narcissism taken a hold of peoples minds. The kind that comes with the hypnotic blank stare that accompanies folks who gush over preening blonde men who bray and whinny “you’re fired, then blink rapidly and furiously as they cogitate on the drape of their $10,000 suit and the brilliance of the highlights occurring at that instance between their finely coifed hair and their pink Hermes tie. Honestly I don’t even know if such a thing exist. My question? What the hell are we doing discussing D. Trump? What next Vince McMahon for V.P. Maybe his wife for Secretary of State. Oh so sorry, forgot about Connecticut and Mrs. McMahon and that WWE sideshow. Carney candidates for President are nothing but contempt emanating from the foulest stables of the MSM.
you’re right
trump needs to be seen in the right light
he is not presidential material
his politics are all over the map and most likely pointed in the direction of the next hand he needs greased
but he is showing that a brash personality going after obama’s policies aggressively and confidently has a positive effect on the disscussion
i’m from cali and we just went through this with arnold
dont fall for it
remember ross perot?
same thing— traditional, boring rino (bush, dole); slick willy; and crazy man perot
BE WARNED!!!!!!
trump has no principles for conservatism; he is a successful mogul and a significant factor in his success is the ability to hob nob with the worlds most powerful libs— this is RED FLAG!!!!!!!!
but he is raising the bar— the alternative to obama needs to be tough, principled, tea party worthy (RINOS NEED NOT APPLY), and unafraid to go for obama’s vitals
Thank you, Barbara, for this wonderful article. I hope that everyone can see as clearly as you do how much we need Sarah Palin. Now more than ever.

God bless you, Mrs Palin!
May you go from strength to strength.
Palin quit in order to devote her considerable energy to rallying the conservative movement and stopping the ridiculous lawsuits. She has–I hope temporarily–lost much of her Independants’ support thanks to the Leftist lapdog media.
The white males in Congress quit because, as Breitbart points out–white males have been castrated by the same press (and others) for at least 50 years. Insecure pseudo-intellectuals have jumped on that hell-bound bandwagon.
Breitbart characterizes the mass media as the old media and the Internet as the new media. Take that, narrow minded self-appointed pseudo-intellectuals. This is an important message. The power of the socialist media must be destroyed.
It is tragic but stark reality that at this point in our history, conservative minorities are our best choices in all branches of government. I look at a female-Black Presidential ticket as our best bet. At this point in this election, Palin and Allen West would get my vote.
The teleprompter prints out speeches that he reads haltingly and with great egotistic fervor. Other than that, he identifies himself as black. But inspiring speeches??? Not really.
Oh yeah this is exactly what the conservative movement needs, nit-picking and bashing other conservative! Brilliant!! If you don’t sense the sarcasm then you are out of touch.
What this author needs to realize is demonizing your own people, trying to make them seem stupid or unqualified or not “man enough” is the absolute WORST thing to do. And I hope this author knows that there are plenty of real conservative Americans who like Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and John Boehner (hello, me!) that do not appreciate nor agree with the BS when you lie about them!!! They are more of men then anyone I have seen, and that’s because they know how to LEAD and GOVERN which is totally different then speech giving! And another thing I want the author and anyone in agreement with the author to know, you are NOT better then me nor are you in any position to call me names or say I’m not conservative enough because I am! And my beliefs and the people I put my faith in to lead this country back are just as valid as yours!
So, basically, not all conservatives agree with this post and we feel that bashing conservatives is the absolute worst idea to pull when we’ve got the worst president in history up for re-election. A post like this is only doing Obama the favor.
Stop bashing Speaker Boehner! He is doing his best, and his best IS good enough!!
Actually Boehner’s best is not nearly good enough. He is a girly man and afraid of being bullied. That is why I wanted Michele Bachmann in the role of speaker. She would have been a fabulous leader and such a contrast to Ms. Pelosi, the witch of the west. Unlike you I completely agree with the author of the article, she says exactly what I say to whoever is willing to listen to me. The current crop of GOP candidates is pitiful and none of them will get my or my family’s vote. Collectively they are a perfect example of the checked pants, country club Republican elite and I am sick of this type. Going along to get along, politely and quietly pee in their checked pants instead of banging the table and making themselves heard. It is time to fight dirty like the Dems do, they always get their way. It should be clear by now that politeness and good manners don’t have any influence on the majority of the dumbed down voters, and that includes the conservatives.
Your comment didn’t change my mind, nor did it prove a point…
Mrs. Palin is not afraid. Did you hear that? Not Afraid. I’ll say it again. Not Afraid.
Mrs. Palin, Not afraid to speak plainly the Truth. Now I don’t know about anyone else, but I do not see another potential President, or any other politician that has the courage and virtue to stand up and speak the truth about the left or obama, or the “right” for that matter. Pundits on down all talk the head in the sand usual tripe about this worthy or that potential as the man to be President. It is so old and worn out usual politics. And how has that worked out I ask you. All of these potentials all have the same in common, not guts, no glory, no vision, no intestinal fortitude. Rino’s? You betcha. They are AINO’s: Americans in name only! What a joke, what a circus of fools, a ship of fools running the ship of state into the shoals of destruction.
Now give me some good old fashioned straight up unadulterated Truth. I can take, in fact I welcome it with loving open arms. And so to Sarah Palin, you go Woman! Give em Hell, give em Hell for me Sarah. I got your back, I believe in you, I hear what you say from the heart. And you know what? It is what is in my heart too. The media, the cesspool on the Potomac, the unions, obama, his czars and Nomenklaturer class, their incitement of class warefare and race baiting, GO TO HELL! You all go to hell. This is my country and you are not getting it. You can not defeat us. We know who you are, we know what you are attempting to do. You will never take my country down into your cesspool of hate and greed. Go to Hell. You see you traitors and tyrants, we got something you will never have, something you can never understand. We believe in something, something better than us, larger than us. You see because we believe in something better, we are faithful, we are true. God, Country, Liberty, Prosperity.
So Sarah Palin, hear me, you embody these ideals and ideas, you believe, you God fearing amazing American. I love your courage and bravery, your sense of duty and loyalty, your virtue and your principles. You Mrs. Palin embody what it is to lead, to be a leader, to be trusted, to earn my trust and my loyalty. You inspire me to be the best I can, for my country and myself. It is a beautiful soul, an inspirational spirit, that is in you I admire so very much.
“We have no real leaders.”
Bang on. Take Chris Christie, the man has skills. He’s a welcome addition to the team. But a leader? He didn’t even lead his election campaign.
Walker is a leader, possessing a vision and a plan he got an entire state to follow through national opposition. Give CC majorities in both houses do you really think ‘Right to Work’ has a prayer?
Cain and Trump, even Son of Paul, are political outsiders. A Tar Baby Congress would rope them dopes by the third round.
No, we have to have Palin now. Not in 2016 or 2020. We need wins now, today. Rove and the Elites get us nowhere.
“…it’s a sad sight to behold: cringing men, afraid to stand up for what’s right. So what if their jobs are at stake? So what if people don’t like them?”
Give me someone willing to fall on the sword for what is right. Our backs are against the wall and I want candidates who have internalized this fact.
Term limits would alter much of the weak-kneed behavior of the perpetual campaigning class. Without term limits I say fight for your principles – win or lose. And if you’re not fighting and winning then you’re losing – plain and simple.
We need to say this loud and often, “You are only against Sarah because you don’t want a girl/female/woman to be president!” “YOU ARE AN EVIL SEXIST!!!
You’re absolutely right, Ed. That’s what the left says, “You don’t like Obama because you are racist”.
“We have no real leaders.”

No, we have to have Palin now. Not in 2016 or 2020. We need wins now, today. Rove and the Elites get us nowhere, e.g., Romneycare, $100 Billion in promised cuts means $15 Billion, etc.
I would have liked to learn a little more about Sarah Palin. But, this article didn’t help me.
one man’s “on fire” is another’s “starting to unravel at the seams”.
If I were to believe in the anti-Christ, Soros would be my suspect. He’s been the evil puppet master behind many more than just Owe-Bama and the dumb ass media.
Jarmo….unity is about bringing the masses together through a solid vision (platform) and stratregy for the nation, not necessarily any party. Again, in your lifetime maybe…JFK and Reagan. JFK got a huge GOP vote. Reagan got a huge democrat vote. Today, they are known as the independents and remembered as the Reagan democrats.
Nearly any rock can identify superficial problems and rant them from the mountain tops. People of substance, leaders, and uniters accend beyond identifying the problems and begin to provide core vision, plans of substance and strategies to overcome the real problems…problem solvers!
Your Tea Party and their voices falls far short of any such qualities. All they’re seemingly about is empty rhetoric of demands for change and ‘vote the bastards out’ campaigning. Thats a real recipe for achieving some degree of national and party unity, eh? They would not only catch my serious attention, but they would gain mine and many others full support if, they were organized with unity and a solid, reasonable platform plan (vision) and strategy of implementation for government reforms. Until then they’ll remain as the appear….a non unified rag-tag helter skelter bunch.
Sarah Palin has been “on fire” since she gave her speech at the Republican convention. I’d never heard of Mrs. Palin so when McCain nominated her as his running mate I wanted to find out what she was about, or at least something. Well, the speech she gave at the convention was electrifying to say the least. It had me jumping out of my chair and standing in my living room clapping for Sarah Palin. Too bad she had such a wimp for a running mate or the Republicans would have rode Barry and the socialists out on a rail. Sarah Palin is a fighter and we need a fighter. We don’t need a mealy mouthed RINO
Sarah IS my 2012 Presidential Candidate! Period! I was THRILLED to hear her speech in Wisconsin! It told me without a single doubt that she IS running! In PERFECT OUT-OF-THE-BOX (BELTWAY) Palin form!!! And the “establishment Republicans” are already trying to tear her down….she’s not running. BULL!
Palin has the gravitas…the cajones…let’s just say it…SHE’S GOT THE BALLS to take on Obama and WIN! NONE of the other GOP candidates have that. She is the ONLY one of the GOP that can bring out 100,000 people or raise the billion to go up against Obama.
I am NOT afraid anymore to say….SARAH IN 2012!!!!!!
Run, Sarah, run! See Sarah run. See Sarah stumble. See Sarah fall. See Sarah blame the MSM. See Sarah run again. See Sarah quit. See Sarah poll numbers fall. See Sarah run again. See Sarah lose. See Sarah keep running. Run, Sarah, run! Don’t stop, just keep running. Somday it could happen, but just maybe not in this lifetime.
Let me make a point for everyone to think about. Sarah Palin is the most divisive and polarize figure in our entire political history. Can anyone in their right minds believe that as a President, Sarah Palin can unite both houses of Congress, let alone unite the Democrats and Republicans in both houses? Can anyone in their right minds believe that Sarah Palin can get anything done in Washington DC, as a President?
Not only is Sarah Palin so polarizing, as a figure, but she is extremely thin skinned. Not one criticism or disagreement of Sarah Palin goes ignored by Sarah Palin. She fights everything with tooth and nail, which is a good trait, but then she goes and labels everything that opposes her with childlike characterizations, like calling the MSM as the Lamestream Media, for example. How will Sarah Palin hold up as President with oppositions in both houses of Congress? How will Sarah Palin hold up as President with any criticisms of her by the media? Can anyone visualize a disaster waiting to happen in our political system? I don’t think I have to elaborate further about this.
A good President should have the ability to unite both houses of Congress, the nation, and people from all walks of life to get things done and resolve fundamental issues, not divide everything in its path. How can a Divider in Chief succeed in a time of financial crisis in this country and in this world? With all the calamities that are facing this world, can a polarize figure turn this world around?
Some on Wall Street don’t think debt is good. Those who think debt is good are just using that as a justification to buy more votes.
