Actually, the “parasites” outnumber the “producers” because greedy corporation CEOs can make higher profits by shipping American manufacturing jobs to China, Indonesia and India, etc. Mechanical engineering graduates can no longer find jobs in America because most of the manufacturing is done overseas! Incidentally, they have also transferred customer service, accounting, and even radiologist jobs offshore. The last time that I checked, the majority of corporate executives counted themselves among the “Right”. Do you consider these CEOs patriotic when they strengthen China’s booming economy at the expense of our own?

I do not know what plant this woman is smoking, but I work in a primary care doctor’s office, and her statements about health care are simply untrue! Under the government-run health plan, Medicare, patients choose their own doctors, hospitals, labs, dialysis centers, etc. In contrast, those insured under private insurance have little choice. The private insurers even stipulate what medications that doctors can prescribe for their subscribers. Further, the private insurers deny care when patients are ill. We have to petition the private insurers to agree to treatments that their subscribers need. We get denials all of the time. Talk about death panels! It is proven that stress is bad for our health. Imagine being sick with a life-threatening illness and then having to deal with the stress of fighting with your health insurer to cover your care! Imagine doing that when you are in your 70s or 80s! I deal with these issues on a daily basis for patients who have dropped Medicare and have private insurance. Private insurers also pay primary care doctors less than Medicare-some up to 50% less! A health insurance corporation’s job is to maximize profits for its shareholders, they can do that best by rationing and restricting coverage to their subscribers. That is not in the best interest of a patient’s health!

I think it is time that Bill Ayers and those like him in acadamia lost their jobs. Every last one of them.

And don’t allow any of them to teach in any public school at any level from here on out. Let’s do it – let’s take back our schools.

The indoctrination has filtered all the way to the elementary school level, where science teachers discuss “global warming” as though it is accepted truth, english teachers ignore great literature to immerse kids in lousy pop culture books that enforce a belief in American evil, and math teachers play games with students instead of drilling them in the basics.

I fight every day to keep these vampires from infecting my children. Teachers, like journalists, have poisoned their profession and my immediate response when I meet a teacher is distrust and dislike. They no longer serve as beacons of learning and light; they are instead the forgers of the chains to bring us into slavery.

I think your gut reaction about Hillary beating McCain is probably true, Jeff. And although I have the same kinds of differences with Hillary as I do with Obama where matters of policy are concerned, I’d much prefer Hillary were president because the public would have known what they were getting when they voted for her. Likewise, if she was pitching healthcare reform, the public would have understood it was some kind of HillaryCare 2.0, so there’d be none of the deception involved with acting as though it was something new and significantly different than it was the first time she tried to bring it out in 1993.

The young man in the white lab coat who inquired if the older doctor was working for a profit would not seem to know what that means.

I am sure he has been supported all his life and has not held a job of any sort. But if he has, he apparently doesn’t consider his salary as a profit. Likely he considers it his “due”.

As to the reduction in quality of our schooling, the education standards now have most freshman entering college take remedial english and math. In my opinion that is because the high school education is devoted to social issues.

So very reminiscent of the Hitler Youth: have the children indoctrinate the parents.

Reporting to you from deep behind The Marijuana Curtain, I have also observed the indoctrination of children, in this case to turn them into eco-nazis. The schools in California cover their walls with large signs with slogans such as “Go Green!”, “Recycle!”, and “Save the planet”. It’s so commonplace that most people don’t even notice it.

At a local school, one day they dressed all the kids in identical green t-shirts and had them march around the school yard for a “Save the planet” walk-a-thon, listening to propaganda barked through loud speakers during an event that lasted for several hours. That was a chilling spectacle.

These are government schools indoctrinating kids instead of educating them. The end product are educated ignoramuses such as the moonbeam chasers who staff of the Apollo Alliance, the thinktank guiding policy in Washington.

By the way, if the Apollo Alliance were accurately named, it would actually be called the Dionysian Axis — they are emotion-guided national socialists — eco-nazis.

The students who rate YOUR classroom performance seem to think you are a prof who “bristles at the idea of being restricted by a curriculum, policies, or assessments and [that you} openly use (your) classroom to promote (your paranoid christian, conservative) views by assigning books that promote (conservative values)”. I think your screed, here, is simply an effort to justify your receiving the worst student evaluations I have ever seen. The fact that you still get part time teaching positions, given your abysmal ratings. must have something to do with the fact that the places you teach are, to most serious academics, places no one has ever heard of.
