“Today, I announce that just as we opened our borders to countless Jews and Christians, we are doing the same to permit immigration to America for the countless Muslims of the Middle East who are now choosing to escape the sectarian violence between Shias and Sunnis that has spread from Iraq throughout the entire Middle East. We accept responsibility for all of that, because, as I have reminded the American people many times, it was the fault of the Bush administration for starting an unwarranted war in Iraq and unleashing the sectarian tensions that more authoritative Muslim governments had tempered.
“Notwithstanding my many overtures to the Muslims of the Middle East, there are still so many who blame America for their problems of extreme poverty and internecine violence. Accordingly, I announce today a major move to convince the Islamic world that we in America truly welcome them, wherever they live. We truly are a tolerant nation, willing to have more Muslims immigrate here — for I have made it clear in many past speeches how Islam has played a positive force in America since the founding of our great nation.

“My move today is to recognize that Americans cannot roam the world imposing our particular notions of liberty and democracy on the world. The world is composed of many people who find their liberty depends on a religious supervision of all aspects of their daily lives. Although we in America have traditionally embraced a separation of church and state, it is time to acknowledge that our way is not the only way.

“To prove this to the world, we are modifying one of America’s most lasting symbols, the Statue of Liberty. We recognize that not all people in the world accept our notions of liberty. That is probably the underlying reason that the United States has been expelled from the United Nations. To demonstrate that we have learned that tolerance is the most important world value, and not a narrow definition of liberty, we are changing the name of the great statue just off the shore of New York from the Statue of Liberty to the Statue of Tolerance.

“And to absolutely prove the seriousness of our tolerant new order, I have exercised my jurisdiction to order an alteration of the statue, so that instead of a crown on the statue’s head, there will be a hijab.

Sad part is, I could actually imagine Obama saying something like this. He never, ever, seems to wonder WHY people hate and mistrust the Islamic world so much. He never, ever, looks at the killings, the acts of terrorism, the insults, the outright rage that is constantly being directed against the west, let alone Israel. Of course it must always be our fault, never theirs. I wonder how “outraged” he would be if, say, Chicago went up in a nuclear blast set off by Iranian-backed terrorists. Would he ask for “understanding” why the Iranians set off the bomb? Would we try to see things from their point-of-view before even retaliating (if we did at all)? And would we be looking for other “reasons” why the Iranians hate us so much, as we try to pick up what was left of an American city that was incinerated by some Islamic religious fanatics?
Yes, I could really see Obama making a speech like this. Because, according to him, America is always the problem in the world, never the solution. How pathetic. Ronald Reagan, we need you now more than ever. We need an adult in charge of the Federal Government, not some man/boy socialist who picked up his world view from Columbia University professors.

I am shivering now from the impeccable quality of this piece and have a deep sadness in my heart from realizing how close to reality this is.

You forgot the part where Obama shut down all opposition media after they found he won re-election in 2012 only through widespread voter fraud.
You also forgot the part where he banned the Republican Party, rounding up its leaders for exile in the Aleutian gulag, along with noted conservative talk show hosts and Tea Party activists, all the while garnering praise from his acolytes in the “MSM” for defending democracy against racists.
And where exactly is the naked emperor giving this speech, in a padded cell?
I’m surprised the President felt no need to refer to the New Ottoman Empire, declared on New Year’s Day, 2015, just one week after Turkish peacekeeping forces brought peace to Basra, Damascus and Cairo, all on the same day. Although not involved in the fighting up to that point, Armenia and Azerbaijan were also persuaded to accept Turkish peacekeepers, in the general surge of goodwill sweeping the region.
You’re leaving out all the Turkish liberators who entered Tbilisi, Athens, Belgrade, Budapest, Bucharest, Tirana, Chisinau, Hlohovec, Podgorica, Pozega, Kamianets-Podilskyi, and Skopje exactly one day before the 2015 SOTU, “inviting” the Viennese to join their “Pan-Islamic Euro-Asian-African Commonwealth” as well, as “tolerated jizya-payers”…

Your article may be more prescient than you realize. But, we know Obama is not going to make it another term. With him giving away our allies’ confidential nuclear weapons information, his political life is as about as viable as Mubarak’s.

This was disturbing in that as I read I could not discount this as a possible reality. Nothing like a spotlight on the sad reality that reason is nearly gone and we are living in currently upside down world.
Something similar actually happened recently when President Calderon bashed us on immigration enforcement and received a standing ovation from our Congress.

I will say that the most interesting comment was the one above talking about the rounding up of non leftist media types- I can see that happening before this speech- with the last election, i think we barely escaped a remade ‘fairness’ doctrine, which was nothing more than the first steps at muzzling the press. I shudder to think what would have happened had someone like Sen. Giffords been shot while the dems held both houses.

I laugh every time I remember the image of Sec State Hillary on the news in a burka in one of the Arabic countries. I think there was an egg frying on her head under that scarf. I also wonder why in the world our First “Lady” opted out of making that trip with hubbie. Methinks marital loyalty only goes so far.

I was watching MHz WorldView (http://www.mhznetworks.org/home/) last night; they show foreign programming, including news programs, and around 11:00 the Russian news service (“RT”) comes on. They were discussing Obama’s actions WRT Egypt, and the uniform conclusion was: “what the heck did he think he’s doing?”

I understand that ACORN has sent out expeditions which have located the lost seven US States, which Obama in all his wisdom knew about, contrary to the rubes who think there are only fifty. Hints as to their locations were deciphered on tablets written in the Austrian language which few people, not even Obama, understand.
They shall be bearing back 14 new Senators and 500 new House Representatives which represent a block of people who are more than sufficient to outvote the entire rest of the United States in a Presidential Election. But because these lost States are indeed so Progressive, and because they don’t want Neanderthals from flyover country visiting and contaminating them, their locations will remain secret in order to protect their privacy, protected in the same secure vault that contains Obama’s birth certificate and academic records.
In order to forestall any conspiracy nuts from claiming that these places don’t really exist, accredited journalists from the New York Times and the Communist Worker’s Daily will be allowed to visit the lost seven states to verify their existence.

I think I have some bad news for you. In 2015 there won’t be a SOTU Address.
Instead, in 2025, from the Green House (flanked by a mosque along Barack Hussein Obama Avenue) in the District of Islam (DI) there will be a televised speech where President Cass Sunstein will be addressing the World, and at the back there will be a huge wall picture of the new prophet Barry Soetoro.
The speech will be broadcast live in all 250,000 mosques throughout the 57 Emirates of the United Socialist Islamic Emirates of the Western Caliphate. The only area which will have the speech blacked out will be the breakaway “State of Occidental China” (formerly, California, Oregon, Washington State and British Columbia – the latter once part of a separate country called “Canada”).
Even in the unlikely event that Barry is re-elected, he will almost certainly be facing a Republican congress and they would not applaud these sorts of remarks, much less give him a standing ovation. More likely he’d be pelted with rotten vegetables.
As I stated above, the Republicans in Congress will have been sent to the Aleutians. After massive vote fraud, the Dems will have won 90% of the vote in 2012 and all 435 seats. Those pesky racist Republicans that object to the vote fraud will have been rounded up and either shot or exiled on the grounds of “fighting racism.”
This piece reminds me of a short, science fiction story by Dan Simmons. It depicts a world in chaos and dominated by a new Islamic Caliphate.
