No Future in France: Dire Times for French Jews
Clearly, there are outward similarities between Judaism and Islam. Both religions originated in the Near East, and are — as of 2012 — related to Near or Middle East countries. Both use Semitic languages. Both insist on rituals, particularly in terms of gender roles, family life, or food, that do not fit with the current mainstream European way of life.
However, differences between Judaism and Islam may outweigh similarities. As far as Near Eastern or Middle Eastern countries are concerned, Muslims turn to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the strongholds of anti-Western hatred, while Jews turn to Israel, the super-Western “start-up nation.” In terms of ritual, kosher slaughtering — a quasi-surgical operation — is as remote from halal slaughtering as from secular slaughtering. Jewish circumcision is performed on newborn babies and is much closer to secular prophylactic circumcision (as it is largely practiced in the United States) than to Islamic circumcision, which is performed on boys in their preteens or early teens. And when it comes to relations between politics and religion, there is simply a chasm between the two religions. Judaism (including Orthodox Judaism) is not interested in mass conversion; does not seek to wrest Europe or any historically Christian part of the world from Christianity; recognizes the supremacy of state law over religious law in non-ritual matters; and sees Western democracy — a polity based on the rule of law — as the most legitimate political system.
But Europeans are not culturally equipped to understand such nuances or to keep them in mind (far less than the Americans, who are more religious-minded, more conversant in Biblical matters, and more familiar with the Jewish way of life). Jules Renard, an early 20th century French writer, wrote about his cat: “I keep telling him to hunt mice and let the canaries alone. Very subtle guidelines, I must admit. Even intelligent cats can get wrong on this issue.” And decide that eating canaries is easier and more satisfying than hunting mice. Regarding Judaism and Islam, most Europeans are like Renard’s cat. And what usually originates as a reaction against difficulties linked to radical brands of Islam quickly evolves into a primarily anti-Jewish business.
So it begins again. The Jews of Europe are the canaries in the coal mine. When times are bad, they are the first to feel the bite of the “European Disease” (religious/race hatred, scapegoating, Jew-baiting and “ethnic cleansing”) — the centuries old illness of European history.
As the times worsen, so will the European Disease. We in America need to make it clear to Europe’s Jews that this time we won’t stand by and let history once again wash over them. We should begin planning now to welcome them to our shores as refuge from the hatred that will only grow as European economies slide into the abyss. That means a possible change in our immigration laws as well as private, non-governmental support for American Jewish groups who would be tasked with helping the refugees build new lives here.
Europe’s loss will be our gain.
Welcoming them here is what should happen. However, with the Muslim Brotherhood and its many affiliates here in the US putting pressure on our own leftist “elites”, who’s to say it would happen? These progressives (and even some a la John McCain) seem to already have sided with the infiltrating islamists, no? We best get our own house in order, or we’ll be running into the same problem in the not so distant future.
Indeed, the decade or so since 9/11 has seen an INCREASE in immigrants and refugees accepted from Arab and Muslim countries. Student visas for those from those same countries are up too.
Shortly after 9/11, people at the State Dept. were saying we needed to bring more Muslims into the U.S. so we could better “understand” them. That’s a pretty clear illustration of the jaw-dropping idiocy (or worse) that controls State and much of the governing elite.
My wife is Jewish and from New York City and NOT conservative in any way. She hates Germany for killing 6 million “of her people”. I’m not Jewish, but G-d how I try to get her to understand how dangerous an increasing muslim population is to Jews, in the US and the world, as well as everyone else that will not bow down to Allah. She remains unconvinced, I think, because I’m not a liberal like she is. Since Obamao isn’t concerned, why should she worry. Without Divine Intervention, the future of the entire Jewish race does no bode well. Nor, for that matter, non-muslims.

And even fewer people know the origins of the Muslim Brotherhood, the group that is spreading much of the anti-Semitism. It was created by Hassan al-Banna in 1928 in an effort to create, in essence, an Islamist wing of the Nazi party. He was a huge fan of Hitler and believed that the Muslim view and the Nazi view had many central similarities. The Brotherhood went on to serve in many bombings, assassination and sabotage missions against the British and anti-Nazi forces before being outlawed and dissolved by the Egyptian prime minister. Of course, that didn’t last. Now after many more bombings, assassinations and coups they have come roaring back, bringing their hatred of Jews so similar to their Nazi brethren. The only thing that will stop them is the thing that stopped the Nazis and that is destruction of the head and military defeat.

The important difference is that today, the Jews of Europe have somewhere to go, somewhere they will be welcome and where their talents are needed.

I suspect much of the anti-Semitism, on the left and right but especially the left, in France is less motivated by “traditional” Jew-hatred than a misguided expediency. That is, the “intellectuals” believe that if they seem to be siding with the Islamists, the Islamists will leave them alone after the Triumph. Or accept them as their own “thought leaders”, and let them run things.
Of course, it could also be simply cynical power-lust at work, which is endemic in the elites’ of Europe, and has been for much longer than even the existence of Islam. (See “Roman Empire” and “Masada”.)
What it almost certainly isn’t is what will no doubt be blamed for it by those elites’, and the media. Namely, Christianity. Being openly Christian in Europe today is about as popular as being openly Jewish. For that matter, neither one goes over well in “blue state” America, either.
That won’t stop the “thought leaders” from pointing their fingers at Christianity, though. From their POV, it’s a convenient scapegoat, and also gives them a chance to kick somebody they hate anyway. (If European elites worship anything other than themselves today, it’s probably Holy Mother Gaia.)
This is consistent with European attitudes on energy, economics, personal liberty, and a variety of other issues. Put simply, Europe is once more busily engaged in trying to cut its own throat. Apparently due to some cultural death wish, largely promulgated by its “social reformers”.
This time, however, I’m not sure we (the United States) are able to ride to the rescue, even if we want to.
It may not be worth the effort. You can only save someone from suicide so many times. Sooner or later, they will succeed.
Europe’s salvation this time will probably have to come from within. Starting with the people of Europe telling their “thought leaders”, “get lost”.
And meaning it.

Given Europe’s suicidal demographics, I think it is pretty obvious that Europeans (apart from Muslims and maybe Gypsies) have given up any hope for the future. They don’t plan to take on their elites. They have surrendered. They just hope to die before Sharia law comes.
However, if there is one issue where the general European populace is largely in complete agreement with the elites, it is in their desire to see Hitler’s work of exterminating the Jews finished.

The Germans were surprised at how co-operative the French authorities were at handing over Jewish children – French citizens! – to be murdered. On the other hand, There were quite a number of Feenchmen in the countryside who saved Jews.

Never assume that someone who does not act as you would, thinks as you do. Their behavior may be rigorously logical, from their own point of view.
There’s just no guarantee that that point of view is factually valid. For an example, look up Operation Sea Lion, the planned German invasion of Britain in WW 2. It was planned as essentially a large-scale river crossing, because the Wehrmacht had no experience with actual amphibious operations. It wouldn’t have worked (compare their plan to D-Day), but that didn’t stop them from being totally confident it would succeed.
Once the RAF and Royal Navy were out of the way, that is. It was their failure to destroy the RAF during the Battle of Britain, plus the “need” to launch Barbarossa against the Soviet Union, which cancelled it. But they still believed that it could have worked.
Operational plans and “philosophical” dogmas have more in common than you might think. Both involve a certain amount of wishful thinking on the part of those who conceive them.

The European left, like the Islamists, are deranged Nazi savages. They are sub-human scum. They are so blinded by their hatred of Jews, that killing the Jews becomes more important even than their own survival.
But it also brings up and important question — if Jews are attacked and massacred in Austria, for example, Israel could land troops there and probably occupy the country in no time, or if the extermination is proceeding too fast, they could simply obliterate Vienna with a nuclear weapon.
But what happens when (not if) the Muslims and leftists in France start massacring Jews by the hundreds or thousands? France is a nuclear power that could obliterate Israel with just a fraction of its arsenal. What could Israel do to fight back without France exterminating her?
In a country the size of Israel, you risk fratricide by trying to use too many nukes (regardless of what fraction of your arsenal they may be).
With this in mind, a more convenient way of protecting Israel would be to give it the capability to defend itself by means of the Aegis/SM-3B shipboard missile defense system.

Things are not easy in europe. Furthermore, there are, in France, more than 7-8 million maghrébins. Electorally speaking they are very significant. This means that French politicians are not too keen to upset them (also for other, security related, considerations).
Indeed, as Jews are out-numbered more than 10 to 1 by Muslims in France (as in the UK), it’s clear that Jewish well-being isn’t a big vote-getter. In Europe overall, by the way, Muslims out-number Jews by at least 20 to 1. In scattered visits to Europe between 1998 and 2006, I found Jewish institutions requiring extra security in the UK, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Italy.
Circumcision is a barbaric and inhumane practice along the lines of tail bobbing and ear clipping of dogs. It is a form of body modification that should only be practiced on consenting adults. In any case, there is a chance for severe injury or/and infection with every act of circumcision. Why risk your sons that way? I have learned to prefer sex with intact males, despite having a preference for the appearance of circumcised males. Uncircumcised males are more capable of pleasurable sensation and one always enjoys sex more with someone who enjoys sex. While I am a staunch defender of Israel and jews, I part ways with them and many Americans on circumcision of boys.

Difference between a progressive (European socialist, American “liberal”)and an American conservative? When the American conservative disapproves of something I do, he or she refrains from doing it. When a progressive disapproves of something I do, he or she uses the power of the state to ban it.
Fortunately, in the US, we have a written constitution that prevents the state from interfering with the free exercise of religion and a political movement (American conservatism) dedicated to defending our constitutional rights (all of them). Unfortunately, Europe has neither.

Whatever you prefer is your affair and your business. But do be aware that women who have intercourse with uncircumcised men have a higher risk of developing cervical cancer even if the gentleman does a good job of keeping himself clean. Also, uncircumcised men have a higher risk of penile cancer. I am a medical professional with over thirty-five years of experience and I have seen more than my share of these issues and the suffering associated with these issues.
As a Jew, I do not find circumcision barbaric or cruel. I have been to a number of “Bris” in my family and the ritual is safe and relatively painless for the child. Maybe you have not been to a “Bris”. You may be one of these people who has never really been around Jews but bases your opinion on what someone else writes or says. I grew up in a Roman Catholic neighborhood and have a good understanding of how these people think. The jump to other Christian sects thinking is not all that difficult.
So you will drive circumcision underground and thereby cause children to be accidentally mutilated? Or some 13-year-old boy, learning that he is personally responsible for a serious transgression, trying to circumcise himself?

Don’t kid yourselves. The Muslims hate the Jews, but there is nothing French people hate more than Muslims in France. Nothing. And what the Muslims in France don’t get is that although there may be much anti-semitism in France, it can’t hold a candle to how hated the Muslims are in France. And the French constantly show their hatred for the Muslims by keeping them in segregated ghettos and giving them terrible, low-paying jobs. There is vast resentment for the Muslims and the Muslims throw it right back in the faces of the French by rioting and by refusing to assimilate into French culture. The whole country will explode in ethnic violence in a few years and, unfortunately, the Jews are getting caught in the middle of it.
The Jews in France may want to start seeking greener pastures somewhere else. When the major civil war begins between the French and the Muslims in France, I don’t think the Jews will want to be around for that. Better to leave now when they can, before the decision is made for them by somebody else.
The Jews of France are educated. There are many places that will want and need them. One only hopes that the French dismantle their nuclear arsenal before handing over their country to the barbarians.
Agree with you. And lots of French Jews have settled very nicely into Israeli life in particular. Netanya, Ashdod, Ashkelon-large communities of French Jews. Even Montreal is a better option for French Jews than staying in France.

The French have long thought themselves the original “cool cats”, irreligious but at the same time subject to irrationality, a la existentialism and the “meaninglessness of existence” (as opposed to the absolute meaningfulness, and fundamental assurance, of God behind all things). I have long thought existentialism–a philosophical offshoot of atheism–to be a fatal weakness among the French. I have begun to see Islam, too, as an essentially atheistic perversion of religion (and an adolescent, self-centered reaction to Judaism and Christianity, seen as “external religions” by Arab tribes), although many Muslims seem not to have imbibed the hateful insanity promulgated by Mohammed and his essentially political followers, 1400 years ago, for their own convenience.

If I were a betting man, I would wager that France in 30 years’ time will look more like the France of today than future America will look like the US of today. If I were a Jew, I think that I would take my stand in Europe, because Obama’s policies in favor of Muslims and illegal immigrants are changing the majority of the population in America so that it stands against all white Judaeo-Christians. My sense is that there is still a reservoir of philo-Semitism in western Europe. The French will buck up; Americans, led by the Democratic party, will cave in. But it may be that Romney will win, and I’ll have to change my forecast.
None of this surprises me. People are natural tribalists and all politics is collectivism. The left understands this and that’s why they are so successful at seizing power. The left worships political power and dictatorship and they don’t really care who holds the whip.
Religion is just Kool-Aide. People make up stories so they don’t have to deal with their own mortality. Islam is a very successful religion in that it does not ask of you the impossible, “Love your enemies!” It asks what is natural of human beings which is to kill your enemies.
Once people grasp the essence of this totalitarian doctrine, I hope they have the strength of will and means to wipe it out.

This is very perceptive and seems very true.
It is a real shame that political Jihad is starting to be accepted as fact in Europe. European demographics are not assured because there are still more Judeo-Christians in Europe than Muslims. It is not too late to fight back, using politics and other means including force to demonstrate to Muslims that Europe will not become an Islamic continent. Islam forces conversion, subjugates those that do not convert, and kills, deports or terrorizes those that will not bow to Islam. Two can play at that game and it is time to get started. There is nothing wrong in reducing the population of Muslims in Europe – Islam is an existential threat to Western civilization and we all better start to stand up for our culture instead of whining and wringing our hands. Our is a territorial and violent species. If French Jews want to live in France than they better militarize because they will have to defend themselves, not with words, but with weapons. Firstly, there is no resevoir of philosemitism in Europe. As the saying goes, the Europeans will never forgive the Jews for auschwitz.
Secondly, I suspect that Ralph Peters is correct and that some ambitious General will command the mob and declare France for the French ( for a given definition of what is French). For those who think the demographics are against suvch a scenario, remember who has the guns. Not the mobs on the street. Europe has no second amendment. weapons with a high rate of fire are a monopoly of the state. As for having the will, I remember reading that in the interwar period, if asked where violent political antisemitism would erupt, the consensus was that it would occur first in France not Germany. I know the saying but I am applying it to all of europe. You are correct the USA deliberately turned a blind eye as to what wwas happening. As in the UK, there was a significant segment of the population that admired Nazi germany but for a twist of fate Linbergh, Jospeph kennedy et al could have prevented the USA from joining the Allies. However, equally fortunately Mosely and Edward were prevented by providence from being in a position to have the UK ally with the Nazis.
When I say Europe will not forgive teh Jews for Auscwitz, I mean that despite blaming everything on the Germans, europeans know that their forefarthers in Frane, Holland, Austria, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, ukraine, Scandinavia and hungary eagerly collaborated with the expulsion and extermination of the Jews. The only countries that can claim otherwise are Bulgaria and Poland.
Unless I am mixing countries up, Bulgaria protected the Jews in Bulgaria proper, but let the Nazis – sorry, Germans – do what they wanted in expanded (irredentist) Bulgaria.
Poland is a very mixed bag; I will simply state that one of the main reasons there is a State of Israel is that Poles were murdering Jews after the Germans were defeated, causing the Jews to return to the camps and insist they will only go to one place, their original home.
You are taking a very small snapshot of British history. Did the US have anything like the UK pogroms, massacres of Jews, torture and blood libels (read Chaucer!), and the great expulsion? Do both US political parties compete on hating Israel, as they do in the UK today?
Did the US build a wall in an Olympic training room, so an Arab would not sully his eyes by looking at a Jew, as you did in the current Berlin – I mean London – Olympics?
NOTE: The UK in WWII was concerned about the Christian Poles, and about the possibility they would be taken over. The Jews never came into it, not to the UK and not to the US.

French Jews ought to get out with their lives while they can. France is an antisemitic, failed state and it’s going to get worse. Jews who choose to live there when there are other options are really risking their lives.

Painful as this is to write: Jews must leave not only France, but all of Europe. And sooner rather than later. New Europe. Same as the old Europe. Let’s hope and pray Israel will survive. The agents of Judaism, ie Jews most certainly have supported (the vast majority of them) the deligitimization of the Euro-Christian State(s).
And they are setting themselves up once again (see the Spanish Inquisition) for ill treatment by continuing to support the Left which is aiding and abetting the colonization of Europe by foreign peoples and cultures and promoting those foreign cultures within Euro-Christian countries via policies of multiculturalism and diversity promotion. (Whereas in the Iberian Penninsula they were collaborators with the Muslim conquerors. Nobody liked Nazi collaborators either, and they were poorly treated after the War and rightly so. And De-Nazification was policy which is similar in fucnction as the Inquisition implemented De-Islamification).
European Jews regularly show support for the Muslim minority immigrants against the Christian nations and native peoples. This isnt ingratiating themselves to the Euro-Christian population, but rather is solidarity with other minorities against the Christian majority, ie the New Left Minority Identity Politics in opposition to majority culture, norms, and interests.
Political support for the delegitimization of Euro-Christian nations as Euro-Christian nations (and into Multicultural Balkanized Hellholes including mass indiscriminate immigration) is Anti-Euro-Christianism just as ugly as political support for the delegitimization of Israel as a Jewish State (and into Multicultural Balkanized Hellholes including mass indiscriminate immigration) is ugly Anti-Semitism.

Now seriously, as far as I know, France has already an evacuation plan for jews in case of a war going really wrong in Holy Land. This is done because many israelis has also French citizenship, so while it’s therefore a French thing, it also shows that France has nothing against jewish people. Still, it will be dire times but it’s not because of France, but a more general problem in Europe, I think, Relativism has made people to just stop discerning what’s good and what’s evil. If you ask me, I think it will be dire times for Christians too.
Well, it’s good that the French government has gone back to the attitude of Jaques Chirac (the one decent thing about him) who stood with French Jewry during the anti-semitic murders of the ’80s. As opposed to Bruno Kriesky of Austia, who blamed Israel(!). Can’t say much more for them, though.
The US to me has had – and has – its problrms, but it is still the world’s least anti-semitic nation, and it is fine when it remembers the amazing (for the 18th Century) statement of George Washington that Jews do not need “toleration”, because they are the citizens same as everyone else. And, yes, they don’t have to assimilate and BE like everyone else either, as the Revolutionary French insisted. Just do your duties as citizens. (See the leeter to the Touro synagogue.)
A common mistake that Jews make when thinking about non Jews is that they imagine that non Jews are much more concerned about Jews then they are. The core feeling, actually, is indifference by the great majority of us ‘gentiles’. That is why antisemitism can come and go with such ease. A small minority can push opinion around without much difficulty. Currently there is an Arab minority in Europe for the politicians to appease, and Arab oil money. Meanwhile the Arabs are strongly antisemitic, I would guess, because it has proved useful to the secular leadership, and because it is useful for the religious leadership to have a religious enemy. It does seem like a situation ripe for hostility toward Jews.
