No Country for Black Men
The Coen Brothers’ 2007 film No Country for Old Men revolves around the tale of several young men engaged in a violent race for a satchel of cash. Tommy Lee Jones plays an aging sheriff investigating the depressing trail of bloodshed, markings that inform the old man that the customs and morals that guided his generation have decayed even faster than he has. Jones ends up as a depiction of the anguish experienced by people left without a country they can call home.
Democrats remain on their quest to offer similar anguish to African-Americans, as liberals now embark on their fifth decade aimed at stripping these reliable party constituents of American nationalism.
Liberal mouthpieces have long emphasized a shameful American history, one marked by slavery and segregation. And they insist that, even today, a majority of Americans hold contempt for dark-skinned people. “Something is clearly wrong when the government’s most effective affirmative-action program is the preference people of color receive when entering not college, but the criminal-justice system,” proclaims one prominent progressive text titled A Covenant with Black America — which goes on to say that there is “a multi-headed, multi-tentacled monster out there devouring blacks who live in certain neighborhoods.”
Such rhetoric has caused many African-Americans to experience feelings of anti-Americanism and national detachment. Blacks now see mirages of racism everywhere, albeit disguised by “code words” and “institutional racism.” The outrage last year over Barack Obama being referred to as “articulate” provided a powerful example of this paranoia.
Anger and hatred typically accompany blacks’ racial anxiety. Before the start of a game last year, the NBA’s Josh Howard said to a live camera, “‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ is going on. I don’t celebrate this [expletive]. I’m black.” Denver Nuggets guard Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf refused to even stand for the national anthem, stating that the American flag was a “symbol of oppression” and that the United States had a long “history of tyranny.”
In Democratic circles, this is known as “patriotism.”
These are not so much black sentiments as they are liberal. But many blacks now subscribe to the anti-American wing of contemporary liberalism.
Last year Michelle Obama said that America was “just downright mean” and admitted, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country.” And any Google search of Jeremiah Wright provides a score of videos showing Barack Obama’s longtime pastor condemning America for practicing “state terrorism” and for “inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color.” We find him referring to the United States as the “U.S. of KKK A.” and thundering, “Not God Bless America. Goddamn America!”
His all-black congregation cheers.
To be without a home is to live with pain. But this has been the Democratic scheme for decades — to promote government intrusion by convincing minorities that most Americans, especially Republicans, reject them. Republicans are racist and against affirmative action. Democrats care and will give you stuff.
The misinformation campaign has succeeded. Many black Americans now view racial solidarity as more important than black individualism. Each year a handful of notorious black leaders convene the State of the Black Union, calling all “brothers” to recognize the uniformed plight that all African-Americans endure. Liberals stripped blacks of their country. So they concocted a new one — the Black Union.
Because racial camaraderie has resulted in more than 90% of blacks predictably voting for Democrats, the advice to be more “inclusive” is oft delivered to the GOP. Replicate the way in which Democrats pander to minorities in order to attract blacks to the Republican Party.
But safeguarding the feelings of minorities by adhering to liberals’ politically correct pap is precisely the cause of blacks’ adoption of big-government, anti-American liberalism. Do Republicans really want to be associated with such a philosophy?
The advice is backwards. Blacks are the ones to make concessions. They must abandon their liberalism before the party of conservatism can consider their membership. A simple matter of principle.
Yet, in order to convince Republicans to alter their strategy, Los Angeles-based writer Chaise Nunnally recently referenced the Don Imus controversy in which Imus referred to the Rutgers women’s basketball team as “nappy-headed hoes.” Even though Nunnally found the opinions expressed by conservatives involved in the debate “legitimate and defensible,” he thought “they also struck the wrong note in communicating with the black community on a racially sensitive topic.”
Nunnally’s counsel was to be more racially symbolic, recommending Republicans find “a more race-sensitive tack to woo black voters.” Join the left in their truth-stifling political correctness in order to trick blacks into voting for you.
That’s how much liberals respect minorities.
Republicans would be better off listening to black conservative columnist Thomas Sowell, who recently reminded his readers, “Most Americans’ principles are closer to those of the Republicans than to those of the Democrats. … [Republicans] won big when they stood for something and told the people what that something was. … Ronald Reagan was the classic example. But another example would be the stunning Republican victories in the 1994 Congressional elections. … Articulating the message of Newt Gingrich’s ‘contract for America’ was a key to that historic victory.”
Republicans win when they underline conservatism, not when they dilute their principles by pandering to special interests. They should leave such prostitution to the Democrats.
For black Americans addicted to Democrats’ coddling sense of self-pity and collectivism, they will find no such slavery within the Republican Party. Only when blacks finally recognize the big-government whip held in Democratic hands can the party of Lincoln help them regain their independence, sustain their dignity, strengthen their families, and recapture their country.

Prostitution is a good word, to describe most politicians (who’s only real principle is their own job security whatever their party). The most oppressive measure utilized against the Black community is welfare. The fact that there have been multi-generational families on the dole says more about the oppressiveness of the program than anything else. The second most oppressive measures utilized are the activities of the racial arsonists, convincing their followings that they have no hope, no chance save through following said arsonists, and failure? That is the legacy of white oppression. Finally the great coordinating oppressor . . . the progressive movement (defined as the modern Democrat Party). Keeping large portions of a population on the dole, or believing themselves powerless and oppressed gives the oppressor power. It is in the best interest of the party to insure such populations lack the will and self confidence to accept that success is in the grasp of anyone (better to fail and have a reason to blame). A scary thought, but; what if the current economic situation was not just a combination of bad circumstance and criminal players, but a situation where senior players knew what was coming and did nothing . . . Barney Frank talked of the strength of Fannie/Freddie (what? one month?!) before the collapse, every economist said the worst thing to do during a recession is raise taxes and. . . what do we see? What I see is a group of ideologues capitalizing on a situation by attempting to make it worse. Worse by taxing, spending and increasing the amount of the population dependent for their quality of life on a government that enslaves them . . . there I said it . . . welfare is state funded enslavement. An enslavement where the slaves thank their master for the boot on their necks and vote the way they are told to. Where the black community has let themselves down is they have (to an extent) bought the lie that they have no chance save through racial and political demagogues (and not even then . . . far better to keep them enslaved)
You are right, Don!
See the book “Uncle Sam’s Plantation” (Star Parker)
or “The Big Black Lie”! (Kevin Jackson)
Martin Luther King, Jr. had much to do with encouraging the present day “anti-American wing of contemporary liberalism.” He literally told blacks that the United States was waging a racist war against the Vietnamese! King was a convinced anti-anti-Communist who argued that the United States exaggerated the threat of Communism because those in power wanted to continue exploiting blacks and other victims of oppression. King’s number one advisor (and occasional ghost writer) Stanley Levison—was also a staunch communist.
Re #1. Well said.
“Jones ends up as a depiction of the anguish experienced by people left without a country they can call home.”
That pretty much describes me……..am Im so white I own a Merle Haggard CD.
We’ve had a generation indoctrinated with race consciousness as opposed to citizenship consciousness. Yet, my experience tells me most black people claim this country as their own. They also exist in a broader mass culture that pokes fun at the race hustler and PC militant and distrusts the liberal. The Dems are good at pushing emotional buttons, the Repubs need to get good at confirming common sense principles already shared by most Americans. As Americans find out just how loony and incompetent the Dems are when they have power, we will be looking for some common sense.
Interestingly, on CNBC they had a program on the new black overclass. One of them, the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, Bob Johnson, said the way for the black community to get out of its plight is to have tremendous wealth creation.
If he truly believes this, how can he possibly be a liberal Democrat?
BTW, he backed Hillary Clinton for President. Not Obama-and he took a lot of heat for it.
Ain’t that something? All the pain suffered by those courageous slaves that stood for their freedom and later the same courage displayed after slavery was abolished. Fighting for freedom from a white oppressor. I wonder what Frederick Douglas would have to say to find that now, the slave master is black?
The Dems have castrated black men whilst pretending to support and uplift them. The ‘cradle to the grave’ welfare system ensures Dem loyalty and the ruination of the Black American family and any hope for it to change.
-And, Mister “Hope & Change” himself is ensuring that it stays that way by undoing the Welfare reforms that were actually WORKING. -But, Dems can’t have that…too much success in the Black Community would mean eyes opening and realizing maybe they are NOT victims and they CAN get ahead of their own volition. Noooo. “Keep ‘em down Dems” are MASTERS at SLAVERY.
“One of them, the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, Bob Johnson, said the way for the black community to get out of its plight is to have tremendous wealth creation.”
Much of the hostility most blacks have toward the GOP is irrational. The misdeeds of Republicans are highlighted while those of Democrats are ignored. The previously mentioned Stanley Levison—a name known to few people—is greatly responsible for this sad state of affairs. He did everything possible to damage the GOP because of its anti-communism and pro-capitalist positions. Do yourself a favor and ask the next ten people this question: Who is Stanley Levison? I doubt if even one is slightly aware of his nefarious and substantial influence in American politics.
We must reevaluate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. There is the early King who did a lot of good with his peace marches in the deep South. And this is the King that Roger L. Simon and others constantly refer to! The later King who indulged in anti-Americanism and radical socialism is conveniently ignored. However, it is the latter King that dominates our current dialogue regarding racial matters.
The standard liberal tactic is to preach
the gospel of discrimination to minority
groups. Then various remedies are put into
effect to counter this. These groups then
become reliable voters for the liberals.
To liberals discrimination is like air. It
is everywhere and they need it to breathe.
How else could the party of misery exist.
This provides the foundation for big
government. The common man can not succeed
without it.
Funny thing is that, even though I live in a
city that is 90% liberal whenever anyone
(black, female, oriental etc) needs help
they seem to turn to me, an obvious racist
misogynist(white male), and ignore other
liberals of different groups.
Nice rant, but you’ve got it all bassackwards. Your Republican party is a product that has been designed to appeal to a certain category of people. Unfortunately, that category that your party appeals to is very niche and has an alarming strain of racism and xenophobia, as was evident by the many number of attendees at McCain Palin rallies yellling colorful racial remarks. If I were black, watching a few moments of those rallies would be enough to turn me away from the Republican party forever. Of course, it is very unfair to judge a party by the most fringe of its members, as the Democratic party has its share of whackos too. But the problem with the Republican party is that its not just fringe members who are the problem, when you have elected Republican leaders calling people of color “Macaca” and sending each other racist joke e-mails and photoshopped pictures of the White House lawn covered in watermelon. Add to that the fact that Rush Limbaugh happens to be your party spokesperson, and that your most adored president, Reagan, famously blamed black people on welfare for the poor state of his economy, and you basically have a party that screams “black people need not apply.” You can spin it any way you want, but it’s evident that most blacks feel that way and want nothing to do with you. But this is the choice your party made, and it’s going to have to live with it.
11. Steve P., there are blacks who [get this] BELIEVE they are gon’ git some ‘reparations’ from ‘whitey’ now that a knee-grow is in da white house. I kid you not. I see a swell of this pathetic drivel on so many lefty sites it’s frankly…sickening. “Now you can pick my cotton, whitey”! As if: A. The blacks of our day have EVER been slaves or B: The current whites of our day have EVER been slave owners.
It’s ludicrous how the Dems have convinced blacks and poor people of all colors to be perpetual victims. It’s downright infuriating to say the least. “Keep ‘em dumb and in the slum” Elite Dems are evil to their core.
The irony in all of this is those who want to compare Zero to Lincoln who was…oh get this…it’s rich…A REPUBLICAN. Dems were some of the folks who fought hardest to keep SLAVERY and they still is sho ’nuff seein’ to keepin’ it thattaway.
Boo yah!
When I see the Democratic Party these days I see a “Coalition of Victim Groups” which includes African-Americans. The Democratic Party has successfully unified everyone under its victim umbrella.
This is how it goes..
Blacks are victims of Whites.
Women are victims of Men.
Immigrants are victims of the Americans and government.
Poor people are victims of rich people.
and the list goes on.
Republicans are looking at the demographic groups that Democrats target based on their typical demographic profile. Democrats, however, look at these people as victim groups. They find one or two issues for these groups and then exploit them in order to keep themselves in power.
The result is a carefully assembled conglomeration of victim groups that are kept in the party by continually pushing their victim buttons. African-Americans, by far, are the best example of how this has been successfully been for years.
Until Black people and the rest of these groups get away from the victim mentality, they can’t succeed in life and they’ll remain Democrats. This is why the true aim of the Democratic Party is to do just enough to keep these people in line but not too much to take them from their victimhood and thus the Democratic party.
Look at any inner-city ghettos in America and you will find a bunch of Democrats running the area. The people get a few programs to keep voting Democrat, but the areas never seem to get any better. Common sense would say that at some point the people who live in these areas would get angry and oust their political leaders, but they don’t because Democrats have convinced them they are victims of Republican politicians. Yet it has been local Democrats running their areas for years!
Listen to President Obama. He is on the victim train, too. He is now chanting that “All of us are victims of the rich people on Wall St.”
Until we overcome the victim mentality that is growing in our country, the rest of the U.S. is going to be just like the African-American population – victims dependent on the government for generations to come.
Delia: Not only have the Dems convinced blacks & poor people of all colors to be perpetual victims, Dems do absolutely nothing to help them out of their victimhood. It’s maddening to see the way Dems continue to inflict the abuse and still get 90% loyalty from them. The only thing I can liken it to is an abused spouse who continues to stay with the abuser b/c the abuser has convinced the abusee he/she can do no better. While the Republican party isn’t totally innocent when it comes to racism, the Democratic party has a much deeper & longer history of racism. See the Black Republicans website for a great article on the history of racism within the Democratic party; it’s worth your time.
Also, one of the lies that the Democratic Party continues to perpetuate is that Dr. Martin Luther King was a Democrat. He actually was a Republican.
The National Black Republican Association has a newsletter talking about this and the other lies that Democrats keep feeding to Black people that are wrong.
You can go to their site at: http://www.nbra.info and then click on the link for the NBRA Newsletter that goes into more detail about this and other Democratic Party brainwashing.
More Black people are waking up to the lies of the Democrats. I know because I am one of them.
14. Chuckt:
“The only thing I can liken it to is an abused spouse who continues to stay with the abuser b/c the abuser has convinced the abusee he/she can do no better.”
~
Excellent analogy, Chuck. I seriously got chills. SPOT ON.
Oh and I’ve studied some on the racist Democrats…believe me I have! It’s insidious and slimy and cloaked with supposed ‘good intent’ but I/we know better.
With the Illegals charging in by droves our ‘welfare/nanny’ state should be downright peachy keen soon and of course they’ll vote DEMOCRAT with the help and support of Zero’s beloved ACORN.
Yipppppppeeeeeeeee!
Sarc/
Here is a youtube of Frances Rice, the head of the National Black Republican Association debunking the myth of Republican racism. It is a copy of an interview that she did in Sarasota, Florida. She also talks about what I posted earlier about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his father being Republicans.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YdEmn7IYOg
Tohio, good on ya! -And, an AMEN too! I truly hope for more people like yourself to help your community wake up and realize how disgustingly elitist and racist the Democrat party really is.
BTW. Here’s one of my favorite bloggers who is a black conservative…he’s freaking HILARIOUS:
http://theblacksphere.blogspot.com/
What always surprises me is that blacks will continue to vote Democratic no matter what. take a look at New York’s 16th Congressional District or any of the poor districts in the NYC area… they are always amongst the poorest in the entire country, yet year after year liberals are voted in. It is obvious through 60 years that the Democrats have done little or nothing to help poor blacks in the 5 boroughs yet blacks seem to be pre-programmed to vote against Republicans when it is obvious in 60 years that Democrats have achieved zero progress.
you would think that 60 years of continual poverty might make a community question their leadership. this is unfortunately not the case.
Steve P said ” has an alarming strain of racism and xenophobia, as was evident by the many number of attendees at McCain Palin rallies yellling colorful racial remarks”
as i recall mr p, that was a lie. indeed, only 1 journalist reported it and there were NO other witnesses to be found.
so, prove it or stop spreading the lie.
11. Steve P. — Yes Steve, there is racism in the Republican party…but there is more in the Democrat party. But with the Democrats it’s the whites who are the “victims”…let me rephrase that: it’s people who have busted their backsides to get ahead and love this country no matter what their race who are descrimated against in the Democrat party.
TOhio, I gather that you are well read and educated, a person that the Democratic party can’t stand. If we started a grass-roots effort in the inner cities and poor areas of the country letting them know that we all have the same opportunity to succeed with hard work and honesty, we would build a strong Republican base that looks like a rainbow!
A close friend who is a Republican voted for Obama because she thought it would be good for her kids to have a black president. She’s black and is kicking herself for wasting her vote!
Calling someone a hypenated American strips them of being one right off the bat. A place is not a race.
Ms.Attitude says: “Yes Steve, there is racism in the Republican party…but there is more in the Democrat party.”
Ms. Atitude, firstly, it’s the Democratic party. Secondly, if there is more racism in the Democratic party, then why is it that it is Republican leaders who are always getting caught calling people of color “Macaca” and sending racist e-mails about how it is that blacks had no trouble getting to the capital for the inauguration but couldn’t get themselves out of New Orleans when Katrina hit? Or how about the brand spanking new e-mail that the Republican California mayor sent around with the White House lawn covered in watermelon? Shall I go on?
But the Democratic party, which nominated a black man for president even though it could have easily won nominating Clinton, is more racist than the Republicans, who nominated Michael Steele as their party chairman in the most pathetic gesture of “Look, we have blacks too!” I’ve probably ever seen.
Yeah, that makes sense.
Keep reaching, Steve P.
I can ‘cherry pick’ crap from your loons too.
-But, instead of tit for tats…
LOOK at policies.
LOOK at evidence that so many have pointed out.
THE MOST impoverished people are DEMOCRATS and they STAY impoverished as DEMOCRATS.
WAKE THE EFF UP and SMELL THE SLAVERY you DEMS perpetuate.
As ONE OF YOUR OWN later admitted…he didn’t want to pay for dead-beats either but you drones love to act like you have BIG HEARTS and CARE about the poor when you don’t…you want to KEEP the POOR impoverished and dumbed down and keep them on the gov’ teat subdued enough to not want to improve on their own life situation.
Sad that you are one of the many blind and will never see that.
Over my seventy-one years of life I’ve seen the total transformation of black society. All of the destructive changes have been engineered by Democrats. During Reconstruction Republicans flooded Washington D. C. with black workers, a situation that continues today, while simultaneously Democrats in both North and South began work to install Jim Crow laws.
The most openly racist U. S. President was Woodrow Wilson, a socialist, who worked energetically to reduce the numbers of black workers in D. C. It could be argued successfully that Lyndon Johnson was the next most openly racist President, and it was indeed his so-called Great Society that destroyed the families of poor whites and blacks together. John F. Kennedy, hero to so many blacks, had to be dragged to the support of Civil Rights for blacks, and never would have done so without Republican pressure.
I remember many towns in the south where blacks and whites lived separately in separate communities, frequented segregated stores and restaurants, and yet endorsed the same values of freedom, liberty, opportunity, and patriotism. A few years ago, long after Johnson’s policies had destroyed black families, I frequented a small restaurant operated by a black and white couple in my beloved Texas. If you had your back to a group of men in the next booth and listened to their conversation, you could not tell from their conversation whether they were black or white–unless their ages were under fifty. White and black men of age fifty and up talked of the same concerns and with equal insight and humor, sharing traditional American values with one another. The conversation of younger white men was no different from that of the older men. But younger black men were filled with anger, mistrust, lacked the values of their elders, and often boasted of how many illegitimate children they had sired from different mothers.
Someone might argue that the older men had accustomed themselves to disappointment, but I would argue back that what united them with their white cohort was a commonality of values. What distinguished the young blacks from their elders was the absence of those values.
Job One for the democrat socialists is divide and conquer.
Steve P what about the dems (I think it was firedog lake blog) that had a picture of Micheal Steele in black face……
I think the dems need history lessons not the crap they dream up as history. It was also a Democrat the started the KKK…..
What a maroon as Bugs would say…..
Delia says: “LOOK at policies.
LOOK at evidence that so many have pointed out.
THE MOST impoverished people are DEMOCRATS and they STAY impoverished as DEMOCRATS.
WAKE THE EFF UP and SMELL THE SLAVERY you DEMS perpetuate.”
Sorry Delia, but TYPING IN ALL CAPS is not a substitute for an actual argument. Besides, if you honestly think that blacks are just too stupid to realize that that they are being duped, then why would you want them in your party anyway? You guys have enough idiots as is.
First, I appreciated the discussion you’ve prompted, Travis. We need much more of this at lunch, while golfing or commuting to and from work.
What I think this piece is missing is a few sentences on how mainstream media selectively promotes the black public figures you’ve represented. There are far more blacks who care deeply for this country that are of all political stripes than you or other commentators may care to discover.
In addition, the Republican party wouldn’t do much for black people if there was a mass exodus from the Demoncrat party. As a matter of fact, there hasn’t been a party that has ever existed in America that was devoted to the cause of blacks since the inception of the Republican party in the mid 1800′s.
I’m black and I’m 41. I’ve learned that I can find what I need to be successful and I can find as much -isms and phobias as I want. But the truth of the matter is that when I’ve come in contact with blacks, whites and people of all hues and tints who see what’s most important, even when one or more of us may not get what our groups want, we do what’s right so that our neighborhood, community, city, state and country moves forward.
Please get into a new flow an write about what’s uniting all kinds of folks in America, Travis. Right now you’re as much crying about a non-issue as the people you’ve highlighted.
26. Don Rhudy,
What an honest and touching account from someone who has seen life through older and wiser eyes.
Thank you for your post and it was SPOT ON.
29. Frank B.
no offense but you see something completely different in your community than I do mine. I live in Morningside Heights just below Harlem and certainly do not see the minority youth as eager to help the community as you do. 70% of children are still born without a father where I live. That is not doing right by your neighborhood.
your optimism is admirable but as of right now, not based in reality. not even close.
Frank B., if many black people turned to the Republican party en masse then don’t you think that would greatly increase Black Repub discussions on Black issues? I certainly think it would.
-
S.P., I’m ignoring your worthless cerebral sewage from now on. You’re welcome and thanks for adding nothing as per your usual operating procedure.
Steve P . your an idiot It is not the democratic party , it is the democrat party . All you have to do is go back a few years and you will never see the ” democrat party being refered to as the democratic party , they just tried that in this last election . It still hasn’t worked .
Steve P: Are you black? Because if you aren’t, stop postulating as though you know what the black experience is about. Watch the videos provided by TOhio and learn something. There’s nothing more disgusting that someone who thinks they know it all.
I am the daughter of black parents. My father was a career army man who was very strict. My parents wouldn’t tolerate the “victim mentality” you see today. In fact, as much as I miss them, I’m glad they aren’t around to see the faker of all fakers posing as a true black man in the White House.
Everything you’ve heard from the Democratic Party is skewed and twisted. They don’t want us to be free… they are bent on keeping us in bondage, using whatever social programs they can dream up to keep us fettered to their trough for life. Welfare has proven to be a cradle to grave disaster.
You say if blacks are too stupid to see they’ve been duped, maybe the Republicans wouldn’t want them in their party anyway. As I said before, if you aren’t black, you don’t know the first thing about it.
Racism is rampant in America today, and the place you’ll see that most clearly is in the Democratic party.
palookaville,
Come on…. what’s in name? Unless your just one of those pesky types who expects proper terms used to describe something. You’ll never make it out of PC 101 with that kind of attitude.
Signed a member of the Long Island – American race.
Hey, my race is Baptist, don’t discriminate against me!
Democrats are the party of projection. They concoct a white racist conspiracy to keep the black man down, instilling fear and hatred in black Americans. In reality, Democrats are the ones keeping blacks in dependency by convincing them they need Democrat policies to help them rise. If you suggest that blacks should be treated exactly like whites and be allowed to succeed or fail on their own efforts, you must be a racist! In fact, the real racism lies in believing that blacks require affirmative action, special set-asides, dumbed-down tests and other assistance to succeed. Who but a less able individual would need those things? Blacks internalize the belief that they can’t make it without special help, and guess what? They can’t, because they believe they can’t. And if you can’t, why try? The result is bitter resentment of those (of all races) who succeed and a terrible loss of black potential. I would like to see a public education system that prepares young people for success instead of coddling their fragile self-esteem and filling them with anger and envy. It would require a tremendous transformation in the way our children are taught. Let me think — who controls public education, especially the worst schools, in most of the country? That would be Democrats. I detect a pattern emerging.
Nothing democratic about the Acorn thugs. The last thing the donkey party wants is fair elections.
Obama is about to sign legislation ending school vouchers in DC sending hundreds (maybe thousands) of poor black students back to their inferior public schools. The students and their parents have protested but the Messiah, is well, the Messiah. His kids still attend a private school.
37. Pee Wee Herman, Community Organizer:
“Nothing democratic about the Acorn thugs. The last thing the donkey party wants is fair elections.”

Ain’t dat da troof! -And, I prefer to call ‘em the DemocRAT party for that very reason. I never understood the need for the ‘ic’ anyhow since we don’t have a ‘Republicanic Party’. *eyeroll*

Yep! There ya go. That’s your delusional DemocRat hypocrisy in a nutshell.
No Pee Wee, it is the democrat party, stay in the play house and those sticky floored movie houses in Sarasota. You might want to take your shoes off before cuming inside
Steve P.: If the Republicans are such xenophobes, then why is it that whenever a bill comes before Congress to protect American jobs from the foreign hordes, it is sponsored by a Demonrat?
36. doppelganglander: Bingo!
Also, let’s not forget that Margaret Sanger started Planned Parenthood with the express purpose of stemming black reproduction. She wanted to commit genocide the slow way. Guess what organization was at the top of the list to receive goodies as soon as The One took office. That’s right, PP.

You’re not being true to your ‘people.’ You’re turning into ‘whitey.’ The next generation is shamed into keeping themselves down because they don’t want to appear to be turning their backs on their own ‘people,’ the same people who are dragging them back down into the muck and mud of the welfare state.

Amen to your advice to Steve P. and what a distinctly proud and dignified way to express your heritage. Your father and mother must have been wonderful people!
David T,
Thank you for a courageous post about MLK. King certainly deserves credit for encouraging “peaceful” change and encouraging judgement be by character…but the “dark side” of his advisors and his social philosophies are completely ignored in academia and the media.
“Thank you for a courageous post about MLK.”
The reality is that nobody needs to take my word for anything. One merely needs to read Martin Luther King,Jr.’s own words! I highly recommend, The Autobiography of Martin Luther King, Jr., edited by Clayborne Carson.
I like the premise; Where’s it at and how do I get there?
Black history month is history, for this year. MLK would be horrified at this month.
Democrats?, the people who you are referring to, Wright, Holder, Mrs. Obama are black too. Why don’t you have the guts to call some black out on his crap instead of hiding behind right wing political correctness and trying to blame liberals for black’s behavior, as if there is some master (Jewish) liberal puppet master controlling blacks. By the way, how can anyone strip anyone else of their patriotism unless those people never believed it in the first place?
TOhio, thanks for the lead to nbra.info.
40, dude. I’m the only community organizer who knows what he’s doing. I wish the one in the white house would admit that he’s a wanker.
Delia, I just gotta say it. You’re probably the stupidest person I’ve seen here or on any other board in a long time. Home schooled? Victim of British dentistry? Please enlighten as to the source of your banality.
You all realize, of course, that someone is stoking the fires of racism, right? You’ve all said so. Let’s examine the latest example, the chimp cartoon. “Sharpton is a race baiter!” you all squeal. “It’s a chimp, not Obama!” But the you skip right past the obvious. Who has an interest in fomenting domestic discord? The right. Where did the cartoon come from? The right. Now, pull your heads out before you do something really stupid and somebody gets hurt.
51. as if:
Delia, I just gotta say it. You’re probably the stupidest person I’ve seen here or on any other board in a long time. Home schooled? Victim of British dentistry? Please enlighten as to the source of your banality.

Source? For what? My derision? You’re it [or one of many, mindless 'its']. -And who’s the royal ‘us’ you refer to? Your Nazi teacher? Your LeftWingNut Professor? Your Pimp? Your Massa?
Drink your sucker punch and have a nice evening, brainiac. Your Mensa rejection notice is in the mail
Delia . . . struck a nerve, did I? You forgot the period at then end of your Mensa sentence. Clean that up and we’ll talk again, the two of us, we, we’ll talk, again. As for your pimp and massa references, please refer to #52 for the source of your sheepish racism. And thanks for the confirmation. Now back to your dungeon.
54. as if, quite the contrary…
Methinks *I* have struck a nerve with VOUS. Calling me the “stupidest person” here is the highest caliber compliment EVER. Thank you for boosting my ego.
-And, if you want me to clean up my sentence that was an obvious ‘typo’ then please clean up your “lowercase username”…
Or are you feeling ‘lowercase’ today? Aww.
Your “PIMP/MASSA” is your new president who wants to ensure his KINGLY THRONE while keeping the poor poorer and the rich richer. All of that ‘pork’ is going to line the pockets of the ‘RICH LIMO LIBS’. Haven’t you been paying attention.
-And, you’re about as NEGRO as ME. Nice try though.
Among the many ironies on race, I find that blacks generally are really patriots. I mean, American patriots. They believe in freedoms, they believe in work & they believe they should get to keep what they work for. However, I also see many people of all colors being convinced by those who regularly distort, conflate, & malign, any person or any action that does not comport to a socialist concept.
It really confuses me when I hear that men like Clarence Thomas, a Justice of the Supreme Court, Thomas Sowell, an extraordinary writer & commentator, & many others, are referred to as “uncle Tom’s,” or some other disparaging name. Justice Thomas has written numerous opinions for the court & the left always denigrates whatever he has to say. Why? The man is actually an excellent Constitutional scholar. He understands the Constitution & he understands that w/o that document, none of us would have any of the rights, freedoms, & protections we currently enjoy! As for Sowell, I suggest many sit down & really read what he has to say. Yes, he is articulate. But what is is mostly, is well grounded in reason. He too understands the importance of our Constitution.
Yet the left has many blacks convinced these men are mere tokens. Many have been told these men simply parrot the lines they are told to parrot. The left has blacks & many others convinced these men do not have an opinion among them that is not one they were told to espouse. From what I have read & noticed of these men, nothing could be farther from the truth.
Abortion kills more minority children than any other ethnic group. Welfare draws more blacks into it than any other group. Drugs are peddled to blacks more than any other group. The legal system is convoluted & it does need revamping. But so many are so wrapped up in dealing with the issues at hand, that they fail to look at the long term affects of differing drug prosecution rates based on products that blacks use more than other groups. Rock coke gets you serious jail time. Powdered coke gets you misdemeanor. Why? Rock is easier to transport & many blacks use it because its easy to transport. Whites tend to use powdered coke so they get less jail time. Why?
So yes, there are issues & they must be addressed. But when it comes to who offers more opportunity, it is definitely not the left when it comes to minorities or any others.
However, once you acclimate people to a certain way of things being done & happening, its difficult to change that. Why? Because the first thing one tries to change, blacks are told that guy effecting change is trying to take from them. Yet welfare reform removed more blacks from poverty than all of the War on Poverty programs liberals sold to the public over the past 50 years. Those are facts folks. All one needs to do is look at the numbers & that becomes obvious. Is it perfect? No! Is anything perfect for anyone? No! But so long as many blacks fall for the line Democrats are selling that they will make things right, we will see blacks being led down that garden path.
Stolen votes, whether by a dead person, a person who votes twice, one who votes who is not eligible, votes cast by illegal aliens, etc. all detract from the power of all ethnic groups but especially blacks or minorities.
Illegal aliens take more jobs from blacks than any other group, & blacks already suffer significantly higher unemployment rates. BUT, the left, or Democrats, are selling the rights issues for illegal aliens to blacks as though its the same issue as it was when blacks fought for their rights! They are NOT the same. It is a disgrace to imply they are. Illegal aliens take from all of us & their contribution in return, does not come anywhere close to covering for their costs to us in any form at all! The first to suffer when illegal aliens get rights, vote illegally, get welfare benefits, get to drive, get to collect unemployment, etc. will be blacks. Yet we are told by the left that blacks support illegal aliens & Republicans are cruel & mean because we do not.
The real irony on that is, 80% of the public objects to illegal aliens benefits, driving, amnesty, or other. 80% represents more than just Republicans folks. That number crosses ALL political lines. Yet the left wants all to believe objections are just Republican issues.
One day blacks might just read between the lines & realize the hype they’ve been sold was designed to keep them in tow to those who oppress them much more than Republicans who want less government, less taxes, less interference in our daily lives, & more opportunity for all!
Wow, you Republicans are really good at distorting history. One thing most Christians would agree on, is that the evil forces in the universe are highly skilled at lying and twisting the truth, even quoting back Gods on words in their never ending quest to spread evil throughout the planet. It’s their most cherished attribute. What better way to confuse and lead astray than to lie and distort? The Republicans have been hijacked and used extensively by the evil forces.
Anyway, blacks never needed anyone to tell them what racism is, or whether or not it exists in our country, they live it every single day. Just spend a little time talking to any of your black friends (if you have any), candidly about their concerns, about their day to day run ins with racism and bigotry, or the images and messages they see each day and how it effects them. You have to remember, this has been part of their DNA for 400 years, it’s fully entrenched. Most black people don’t trust white people, the history of injustice and terrorism is just too strong. It’s not a hatred, it’s a distrust. It’s always been about total and absolute equality, nothing more, nothing less. Many blacks may not admit it, or pretend to be ok with things most of the time, but this is a coping mechanism, developed and honed over centuries for survival, and protecting their families, it’s very hard to undo. And of course not every single black person is discriminated against every single day of the week. But it’s out there, it’s happened to every one of them at some time, it’s still practiced in homes across America, in businesses, in government, in social networks. Even the subtle expressions of indifference are easily picked up on by blacks, white people don’t usually get it, because they haven’t had the 400 years of adaptation and detecting skills. Everyone responds differently to hatred, some people’s spirits are irrevocably broken, some go into total denial, some turn militant, and still others forgive and turn to the teachings of Jesus Christ to see them through.
Black people have always been patriotic, giving their lives for their country, from fighting the British during the revolution to the mountains and deserts of Afghanistan today. And in the not too distant past, they fought and died on foreign soil, while struggling to maintain a sense of dignity and self-respect at being systematically disenfranchised when they got back home. These feelings and images do not die easily.
Many don’t usually display their patriotism, because it may be embarrassing or hurtful to love something that treats you unfairly. But they are keenly aware that their love is for what the country actually stands for and the words of our founding fathers, and not whatever social norms are in play at any given time.
The Republicans party is being driven by southern white racists, they listen to idiots like Limbaugh, Hannity and Fox News. They think the NY Post meant no harm in its latest cartoon. This kind of corrupt thinking will only grow stronger if people are unwilling to appeal to the goodness that is inside of them. They need to change their thinking, be more inclusive and denounce that section of their constituency, else they are doomed, and will eventually succumb to the disjointed, hate-filled, selfish ideology to which they so steadfastly cling, regardless of the truth they see before them.
As if:
“You all realize, of course, that someone is stoking the fires of racism, right? You’ve all said so. Let’s examine the latest example, the chimp cartoon. “Sharpton is a race baiter!” you all squeal. “It’s a chimp, not Obama!” But the you skip right past the obvious. Who has an interest in fomenting domestic discord?”
The Chimp Cartoon is not a reference to Mr. O’Kenya because Mr. O’Kenya did not write the bill, moron. The fraud who now inhabits the “White” House outsourced it to Pelosi. How’s that for skipping over the obvious? And before you remark on others’ punctuation, I suggest you proofread your own asinine drivel. Glass houses, stones, retards who throw them, etc.
One more thing, As If. Did you have any problems when GWB was called and represented as a chimp, and worse? Were you outraged by the plays and films that represented his assassination? What about the “artist” who hung Palin in effigy in West Hollywood during Halloween? Were you appalled?
Didn’t think so, douche.
59. Milesdei,
You said “Douche”…I think I love you. lol!
Seriously though…’as if’ has… erm…’issues’ of the Freudian or Jung or perhaps even Fromm kind.
Notice how ‘as’ if didn’t really respond directly to ANY issues many of us raised? Pathetic empty responses from a spastic Zer0-bot.
Milesdei,
White christians do not have a history of being enslaved and legally discriminated against here, they were the ones doing it to others in the past. Your petty tit for a tat exchange misses the point as well as being small minded, since he had nothing to do with any of those horrible outrages you mentioned that must have scarred you for life. Callng people a “douche” is a really piggish small minded thing, it reminds me of some fratboy jock.
Horace,
If the ‘douche’ label fits…
-And, whilst we’re at it…how about the Salem ‘witch trials’ of white midwives? How about the Irish immigrants who were discriminated against? Where’s the outrage? Oh…only ‘BROWN’ victims exist. How about the black on black TRIBAL crime that has been going on in “MOTHER AFRIKA” for ages? The scummy, slimey African black men raping young baby children for fear of Aids?
↑Don’t see that much in the news do ya?
Wean yourself off of the MSM tit and educate yourself and get back to me.
Most of the people posting here are gutless hypocrites; who spout trashy right wing political correct factoids, like Democrats are Klansmen, while demonstrating a high level of bigotry in the posts and venom, like the lies and insults tossed at Obama. If you are a racist, at least be honest about and not pretend you are fighting racism by trying to end affirmative action. Do you think if those liberal puppet masters vanished, as if hardly any blacks read or care what white liberal profs or columnist say, that all those blacks would turn into hard working, conservative middle class professionals? Sure, you like blacks as long as they are like Thomas Sowell or Larry Elder. Givr me s break. It’s like all the people on the right who go around calling people anti-Semites based on flimsiest evidence yet give a pass to Ann Coulter or Mel Gibson.
A racist is a person who believes racism exists in all avenues of life. Most people, regardless of their skin color prefer to coexist peacefully, attempting simply to go to work, raise their children in a proper way, and find enjoyment in life when possible. Those who are preoccupied with racial animosity are sad people and a clearly posses a mental component that is crippling and pathetic. They can not look inward because they are the true racists and what they see is what they truly hate.
Stev P, as if and JackT, racists through and through. Sad.
It’s really a shame that people like SteveP and JackT are so party line in thinking that they can’t recognize the reality of “Social Welfare” systems. Like the Unions these systems seek to keep the masses quiet, and malliable, giving them just enough to think they have “enough” but not enough so as to think someone is not “denying them” their rights . . . The theory (and reality) of the socialist welfare system is the population is cowed into “learned helplessness”. Kept in their cages, their “categories”, pigeonholed and treated with benign contempt. The masters? Those who occupy the offices of power, from political hacks like Frank, Schumer (the people don’t care about pork), Anderson, Pelosi (“monies to family planning will save the states monies” . . . over a thousand years) I’m sure there are some Repubs, but none come to mind at the moment. Add to those the racial arsonists who profit from the dimunition of their communities. It is past time that we release those in bondage from the slavery of low expectations/aspirations so beloved by the Democrat (NOT Democratic) partei. They changed the nature of bondage from one of the segregated southern “Dixiecrats” (like Senator Gore senior), to one of pushing Black (and other poor) into the corner of generational poverty of mind, spirit, and potential. Class A phonies like SteveP and JackT (and others) will deny reality and truths in favor of vague accusations and false ethical arguments (without faith, ethics, morals and laws are of convenience ONLY). The left has one argument, and that is “for the last 8 years . . .” . If that is the case . . . the right rep Frank and the Loan King Mr Dodd need be identified as class enemies as well.
Horace Wells:
Get a clue, fool. White Christians do have a history of being enslaved…by MOORS, i.e. Africans, i.e., Blacks, i.e. Muslims. Moreover, white Christians were the first people on earth to abolish slavery, and of course you know that the slave trade would never have been possible without the collusion of African tribesmen who sold their “brethren” to the European slave-traders. Don’t post here or read what is said if you are too ignorant to debate on the basis of facts or are too thin-skinned to handle a little invective. In other words, don’t be a douche.
Last thing, anyone who votes Partei line only, deserves no voice in anything, There is a purpose to god given “free will”, Sheep have none, and are food, as you will be as well. Our Congress now (with exceptions) is composed of partisan sheep, time to hold them to account and cull the herd.
BTW, Horace, I was never a fratboy, though I am a BIG jock with a HUGE….IQ.
Milesdei
I’m talking about the USA today, not medieval Europe or the Mediterranean. Neither Bush nor Palin’s people were ever oppressed or discriminated against here, they were/are the majority.
If you think that calling Bush and Obama both chimps carries the same weight then you really do need a reality check.
“Do you think if those liberal puppet masters vanished, as if hardly any blacks read or care what white liberal profs or columnist say, that all those blacks would turn into hard working, conservative middle class professionals?”
Add Horace Wells to the list of racists…..
“Blacks are the ones to make concessions. They must abandon their liberalism before the party of conservatism can consider their membership. A simple matter of principle.”
Good luck with that. Dictating to voters what they must do to earn the right to vote for you, as opposed to articulating your positions and positing a value proposition is a surefire way to electoral success.
J.C. Watts said “Republicans want to say we reach out. But what we do instead is 60 days before an election, we’ll spend some money on black radio and TV or buy an ad in Ebony and Jet, and that’s our outreach. People read through that.” Whether Republicans are tarred as racists fairly or not really isn’t the issue. It’s the extant tactical situation. The issue is what can be done about it. And sitting around taking about how stupid and defective and “caught up in victim mentality” the voters who don’t vote for you is a) stupid simply from a PR standpoint, and b) from a logistical point of view. Let’s face facts; the electoral base of the Republican/libertarian coalition is rural middle class white voters. That’s a shrinking demographic. The current coalition can’t even decide whether or not they can (or want to) hold the fiscally conservative intelligentsia and social liberals. The GOP is not looking at a favorable future electoral battlespace unless they can attract blacks and Hispanics.
Therefore, no, YOU’RE the ones who’ll make concessions, or wander the electoral wilderness. Elections aren’t about principle for the sake of principle; their about cost/benefit analysis. Republicans could easily make a case to blacks; if they could acknowledge and get past the need that vocal minority of their base has to antagonize blacks on a regular basis.
A Republican discussion of race goes like this:
Black person: So, nice weather we’re having.
Republican: Why do you people always have to play the race card!
Black person: Excuse me, huh? We were talking about…
Republican: Why are you people so caught up in the victim mentality!
Black person: Okay, we’re obviously not on the same…
Republican: Jesse Jackson! Al Sharpton! Barrack HUSSEIN Obama!
Black person: Okay, I’m just gonna leave.
Republican: Rap music causes AIDS!
The simple fact of the matter is, blacks are overwhelmingly socially conservative, evangelical Christians. Blacks are more likely than not to be fiscally conservative, with notable exceptions. This shouldn’t be a hard sale, if the apparent willingness, the apparent desire to be inclusive, was there. But it isn’t. Which is where we get Republican tripping over themselves to defend a liberal shill like Imus, and articles like this one. Outside of big L libertarianism (who’s electoral success speaks for itself), has any other political movement ever dreamed it could get away with telling a voter that they have to earn the right to pull the lever for them? The sense of entitlement and self aggrandizement would be laughable, if it weren’t so sad.
71. junyo,
Nice reach, white Lib.
Please read the genuine post from an actual, conservative [gasp] BLACK person here.

17. TOhio:
“Here is a youtube of Frances Rice, the head of the National Black Republican Association debunking the myth of Republican racism. It is a copy of an interview that she did in Sarasota, Florida. She also talks about what I posted earlier about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his father being Republicans.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YdEmn7IYOg“
The Republicans should forget about the black Americans and focus on attracting faster growing and much larger demographic group, the Indians who have emigrated from Mexico, Central and South America; i.e. erroneously referred to as Hispanics, What is a Hispanic anyway? There is no language or country named Hispanic,
Most of these immigrants are pure blooded Indians and if they have any Spanish DNA in them it is usually very little.
Most Indians emigrate to the U.S. for economic reasons. Many are hard working family people who start their own businesses. They are a better fit for the Republican party and don’t have the history in America that the blacks do .
Republicans should focus on attracting the Indian imigrants from Mexico and Central and South America.
There are plenty of men and women of all races that can’t be bothered to serve America, they are too precious to risk anything for their own freedom. They are consumers of freedom, not producers of it, like the men and women serving in the armed forces and other public safety professions are. Why these candy-asses get the vote is beyond me. But this is nothing new. 66% of those who fought in WWII were draftees, while 25% of those who fought in Vietnam were (per the History Channel), so it’s got to be more than just the times.
Black Americans are serving in these professions in numbers beyond their portion of the population. So are hispanics, and others. I think this is one of those theortical articles that cherry pick the black population to make a point, and makes none. If you consider all races and their representation in the military and public safety, it’s the pitifully small number of people of all races willing to earn their freedom, not just blacks, that stands out. I fought beside black Americans in Vietnam and while it’s every soldiers god given right to bitch, they bitched the same amount, and at the same volume as the rest of us, not any more or louder.
74. Wally Lind:
First, THANK YOU for serving our country.
Secondly, I can’t help thinking that the military mindset is a wholesome and inclusive one. Will HUMANITY ever get ‘that’ idea’? “WE ARE IN THIS SHIT HOLE TOGTHER, SOLDIER!”
Who the frick knows but I have hope. I think if some catastrophic take-over by ‘alien beings’ happened we’d all lose our fears of each other and hold hands and mount up our arms.
Let’s just hope a ginormous meteor doesn’t hit first.
African Americans are socially conservative, but they’re not fiscally conservative IMO. More often than not, they’e in favor of welfare and government entitlement programs (especially affirmative action) that artificially constructs diversity. The likes of Al Sharpton often finds racism in any kind of disparity between blacks and whites, under any scenario. He’s likely to spin conspiracy theories about some insidious white establishment at work when he finds more whites graduating than blacks, etc etc etc.
It’s gonna be pretty tough to break that 90% black support for the democratic party. Obama needs to mess up beyond belief for them to not give him a similar level of support in 2012. Not to be dismissive, but forget about them. The real money is with Latinos, whose voting base is ever increasing. I think we can win back 5-10% back with a better plan than O’s stimulus. A good amount of them don’t belong to some ridiculous “raza” groups and are perfectly willing to compromise on immigration. CA Republicans stood mute when gay groups attacked mormons and Latino businesses that doanted to yes on prop 8 – wrong move.
I want blacks in my Party. I just don’t want victim blacks in my Party. I don’t even know what a “black issue” looks like. As far as I’m concerned, there isn’t one. They are free, and they have equal opportunity. What more is there that is specifically related to being black? If they are seeing racism everywhere, it’s because they are looking really, really hard fot it, and thus, misconstruing any little thing as racism.
I would just as soon they ignore such things and focus on things that matter, such as taxes, economic issues, education, immigration, and so forth. These are the things that affect us all. How are blacks any different? I just don’t see any difference.
As a Black Republican, I am so disappointed that the democrats have used this economic time to capitalize on all poor people and make them more dependent on the Govt. You have congressmen saying its racists if you don’t take the money. What are they going to be saying when the money runs out and the masses realize they didn’t do anything to improve their situation, only compound it by encouraging dependence. I don’t see democrats improving neighborhoods or even encouraging the poor to stand up for themselves by developing better morals, traditional families, and education. I only see democrats saying look how the Republicans aren’t giving you anything. My parents raised myself and my siblings to believe in ourselves work for what you want, and no one is to blame for your success or failure but yourself. Then again, my parents are still married to each other. That in itself is a whole other topic. Now that the democrats have all the power, now is the opportunity to bring those that are’t achieving upwards, not bring down those that have achieved.
Maybe where we really need a “surge” is in neighborhoods where hope has been extinguished, where drugs and crime are the only means of rising above the “Gubment cheese”, where an once of real effort and commitment could make tons of difference in realizing the aspirations and potentials of these people. Perhaps it is time (at the grass roots level) we take the bedrock foundation of the Democrat party (the learned helpless), and build them up by expanding their horizons. The Democrats believe in the value of the poor and dependent strictly in their capacity to follow party line (keeping them in line by encouraging their belief in the futility of a future). the Democrats use class and race warfare against the republicans (while espousing AN “ETHICAL”, “MORALISTIC”, “PATERNALISTIC” line). Talk is always cheap, and the Democrats seem most adept (of recent) at demonstrating that truism. Why don’t the Republicans declare a campaign, and put the effort in to truly build people up (at the same time earning the loyalty of those who’ve shaken off their chains)? Why not attack where the opponent is strongest? . . . Think about destroying the paradigms that are the “principles” of the Democrat party; and that is that the people are to helples and stupid, and need the guidance of mother gubment.
Apologize for the misspellings and abysmal grammar, what can I say . . . just a simple soldier
@JackT – You argument about Blacks not wanting to love something (America), that has not been good to them is “the sweet smell of manure”. If that’s the case, then why do Blacks love so much the party, that being the racist Democrats, who have done everything under the sun to demoralize, dehumanize Blacks, and who passed every piece of legislation on the books to do so. And when that didn’t work they started using intimidation…yes by way of that Democrat group the KKK?
Just put it bluntly, Blacks who vote for Democrats are either stupid or misinformed.
Blacks give Democrats a pass, either ignoring the past, or saying “The old Republican Party did all the good stuff, that’s not the party they are today”, and act like the Dems have abandoned their racist policies. Well they haven’t.
Reid didn’t want to seat a Black Senator in the old White Man’s club, known as The Senate. Imagine if a Republican tried that. But he gets a “race card” pass. Pelosi agrees with Sanger, a eugenist who publicly stated that her goal was to get rid of Blacks by way of abortion, keeping only those who serve Whites.
Wake up Black people, and you meddling Whites who think you are “helping us”. We are not lab animals for your experimentation, nor are we a bunch of helpless victims, on which you sooth your soul.
The Black Sphere

It is funny to see a simultaneous complaint against Blacks for being Democrats, and a refusal to allow them into the GOP.
There is a good reason that Blacks don’t flock to the GOP, and it isn’t the fault of the Democrats.
Peace.

#77 Marc Malone thinks “If (blacks) are seeing racism everywhere, it’s because they are looking really, really hard fot it, and thus, misconstruing any little thing as racism.”
You denied (wrongfully) that it was happening at the NY Post. How about the postcard sent out by the mayor of Los Alamitos, the one showing the White House with a bunch of watermelons on the lawn. Didn’t have to look really hard for that one. It was sent to us in the mail.
Unless, of course, you don’t think that post card was racist. Do you? (Believe me, I don’t expect a response.)
HOW DEMOCRAT PARTY SCREWING THE POOR
Obama talks a big game on education and does nothing right in his own neighborhood.
http://greensrealworld.blogspot.com/2009/02/democrat-pols-still-screwing-poor.html
If they weren’t so damn scary, you’d almost have to feel sorry for conservatives. They are a dying breed in this country, and I mean that literally. If you remember what the demographic looked like at McCain Palin rallies, the average age was about 65. 70% of the Republican Party will be dead witin 15 years. Those numbers are going to be difficult to replace. Also bad news for the Republicans: Those old conservative geezers are being replaced with younger educated people and that favors the Democratic Party.
” In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man’s becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American…..
‘There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, Isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile….We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language…and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is loyalty to the American people’.
Theodore Roosevelt, 1919
Obama is on a power trip; He’s trying to see if he can get Congress to grab their ankles; And after he succeeds with that, he’s going to see how long he can keep them in that position. That sums up his policy, to date. He hasn’t done anything that makes any fiscal logic, and his soldiers are going to suffer as well as anyone else.
He needs to take a pay cut until the economy turns around.
JackT: you’re right, blacks have always been patriotic, and I don’t recall any black spies, defectors of note. Blacks volunteered in large numbers for combat in both world wars, and did sterling service. And I really detest the observations on this post that the GOP ought to forfeit their claim to black votes. If I were running for the GOP nomination, I’d not cede one black vote to anyone.
In any event, blacks and the GOP will see eye to eye one day. Its too bad they don’t now.
(you’re wrong Mike Roberts–the country is basically conservative minded and aside from the unfortnate splits on gay marriage, and the GOP’s abandonement of it sown values since 2000, most voters would turn to the GOP). It won’t take long: the GOP will be back if it can stand for its core values instead of corruption and its inexplicable hostility to gay marriage and pot. With the corrupt buffoons like Dennis Hastert gone and another chance in 2-4 years, the GOP may come back: and go after the black votes that ought to be ours. Don’t forget–predictions like yours were comon wisdom in 1964, 1974 and 1992.
And Jack T, when the mentality has been completely shaken off by blacks that realize that tax and spend policies do them no good–none–the two will meet. Till then its reasonable for most blacks to prefer the party that at least seems to care.
mshatto
maybe, but rather would be honest about it than some talk show parrots who hide behind inanae right wing politically correct slogans! Of course, the liberal cabal is controlling their minds through KFC and grape soda additives.

“The simple fact of the matter is, blacks are overwhelmingly socially conservative, evangelical Christians.”
What have you been smoking? A 70% illegitamacy rate and 10 times the crime rate hardly bears that one out. As far as religion goes, it just proves that in the end most of religion is tomfoolery perpetrated by avaricious people for greed and power. After all, Farrakhan, Wright, Sharpton and Jackson are all Reverends. Somehow if you throw religion in, some sort of cracker Christianity preferrably, the average con will roll over and go oooh and ahhh like that is something great without an ounce of skepticism. Don’t get me wrong, plenty of white are in on the racket too. Look at Josiah Smith and his fake even for his time history, his lure of polygamy and cooked up holy books. A lot of blacks have told me that a sizeable minority relgious people in the ‘hood are not ethical or holy, it is a scam played on the simple minded. Rather see someone work hard and get ahead at a regular job or their own business than get ahead selling religion to the poor and ignorant.
@88. Cybergeezer:
They are going to need leverage to get their heads out of their asses, aren’t they?
I think not. Surely he’ll get them lined up and marching in formation….
Obama’s got most of the world on his side, including economists, historians and financiers, not to mention a large majority of US citizens. The fiscal logic is pretty clear if you analyze the “recovery bill” and the budgets he has proposed. Spend now to get the recovery moving, and follow with restrained spending while refocusing on priority items in the budget.
We’re just getting started.

I wrote a lil’ diddy about the Lib trolls here… Like to hear it? Here it go!
“Horace, you plainly bore us.
David S., you’re a hot mess.
as if, put down the spliff.
Steve P., please read history.”
~
You’re welcome.
Peace and light and fuzzy bunnies and rainbows,
Delia
Wow! It’s like your sculpting but with words. I now know true humility. Everyone? Please, everyone, may I have your attention? . . . I would like to present . . . Delia.
as if,
You love me! You really love me!
All 400 pounds of you.
You have to remember, this has been part of their DNA for 400 years, it’s fully entrenched.
Ummm, that would be true if America had invented slavery. 500,000 died ending it once and for all here. Still going on in other hypensted first places though……
Note to secretary; Tell David S. I’m not in.

You just lost me 100 pounds. I’m fattered er ‘flattered’! lol
Don’t be jelly of my ghetto onion. I got me some junk in my trunk and I’m pppproud of it.
*wink*
Delia
You are bored by me cause you are dishonest dimwit who can’t think beyond the simple minded slogans your talk show hosts feed you. Your rap truly fits the acronym: “Retards Attempting Poetry”. Next time, I’ll get a lobotomy then burn all my books and library card to better relate to you. You know, only liberals use libraries!
Most of the discussions on race these days seem to be liberals blaming white racists and cons and cons blaming liberals in reverse for various black pathologies because few have the guts to get really honest about it.
Horace the ‘bore us’,
Here’s one of my poems [I wrote 9 years ago] that has nothing to do with politics…but I think it has some good standing with regards to resisting the urge to fear for fear’s sake and maybe when you chose to grow up one day you’ll come to fully understand it:
Fear
It keeps me awake when I should sleep
It takes away my laughter and causes me to weep
It increases the rhythm of my heart’s beat
And I’m afraid to stand on my own two feet…
It’s fear
It keeps my legs hobbled so I can’t run
It takes all the joy out of having fun
It takes all my faith and hope for tomorrow
It fills me with such a deep, aching sorrow…
It’s fear
It disdainfully tells me I’m no good inside
It says I have no reason to feel joy or pride
It mocks the very tears I’ve cried, saying
The world would be better if I had died…
It’s fear
It keeps my nerves jangling on the edge
Terrified to jump from my safe little ledge
Moments that turn into tortuous hours
Veins that grow cold, am I losing my powers?
It’s fear
It lies in wait for me, setting little traps
It grimaces in the mirror, reminding me of my mishaps
It tells me that I have no right to dream any longer
It tries to weaken me when all I want is to be is stronger…
It’s fear
It tells me I’m wrong and that I’ll never learn to fight
It questions all my motives even when I know I’m right
It wants me to give up, to quit, and to give in
But no matter what it wants…I must never let it win.
David S is back with yet another “peaceful” diatribe. Having fun peace boy?
To Ms Republican,
No, Steve P is not black, but he is stupid, and along with David S, he is a troll. You won’t hear back from him because, while he has nothing to say, he will avoid getting trapped in his own racism. You are right, liberty is the only reasonable path that people can take. Thanks for your post.
@102. Jim Baker:
You join the thread to call me a troll. How charming.
Racism is an irrational emotional response, and also the major reason that the GOP opposes affirmative action. There is no rational basis for this position.
I hope you are having fun demonstrating your own trolling skills.
Peace.

“Racism is an irrational emotional response”

Please send that message to Rev. Wright and his ilk. Please tell that to the self-segregating black people. Please tell that to YOURSELF.
To david S, true racism is defined by a party that dominated through Jim Crow laws, and now encourages the destruction of hope and aspirations in a people by the means of welfare. True racism is using racial arsonists like Wright and Sharpton (and others) to destroy initiative and creativity in a people in order to politically dominate them. Perhaps there are many individuals who are racists in any party, but there is only one that I know of that practices both aggressive racial politics and class warfare. Only one party seems now to be promoting the lie that is socialism (an economic fantasy that denies the basic nature of man . . . people are selfish),
Sei Gesund Genosse!
101 Delia . . . uplifting! And rhymey!
Do the Democrats need the African American vote just as the Republicans need the Right to Life vote? Each party has created such special interests that they fail to exist without differences.
Republican conservatives motto should be “Every man for himself” and with that motto comes “discrimination.”
The Democrats motto should be “All for one and one for all” and comes without discrimination.
Republican ideology excludes homosexuals, African Americans, Hippies, progressives, intellectuals, liberals, hispanics (unless they want to work in their factory without equality) Feminists, Muslims, and any one who isn’t Christian. Republicans are in the business of exclusion.
My personal experience supports the conclusion of this article. I had several close friends in college that were black. Of that group, one was from Africa (Niger if I remember correctly) and another from Jamaica. They continually wondered at the obsession of African-American leaders and students over racism to the exclusion of all other issues. One even admitted to me that she no longer went out to eat with African-Americans because if the service wasn’t impeccable it had to be due to racism. She was just too embarrassed by their rude behavior to the servers. The immigrant from Africa really did not understand why all Americans did not appreciate the opportunities they had regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sex or status. She explained that in her home country the circumstances of your birth pretty much determined your life. Not your intelligence, drive or determination. I also had two African-American friends who were devote Christians that believed even a white girl could be a good friend. The other African-American students I tried to befriend had little time for me. I did not attribute a reason for their behavior, I just moved on.
@105. don:
Racism is judging people on the basis of their apparent heritage. It is currently a major problem in our country. It causes disparate treatment of citizens, both by private and public entities. Social programs are not “racism” – but attempts to cut access to food and assistance for the poor could certainly be seen as “class warfare”, and GOP attempts to remove certain persons from voter rolls is most certainly “racism”.
Novus Ordo Seclorum.
Peace.

Lady Macbeth and Lady Michelle: Two Manipulative Peas in a Pod?
She may not look much like how I’d always envisioned Lady Macbeth, especially in a pants suit, but America’s new First Lady may be the true power behind America’s new President Obama’s throne.
You may recall Shakespeare’s Lady Mac, the scary, ambitious, vicious, and manipulative wife of the title character in Macbeth who, with a few scraggly chin hairs and some eye of newt, could have been the model for those 3 potion-stirring witches in Hamlet. Or for Hillary Clinton, for that matter, providing they could match her witchy cackle.
Michelle Robinson Obama has no (visible) chin hairs as yet but she does have a history of, if not witchcraft, then surely expertise in various dark arts, if we can consider racism one of the dark arts as in her hatred and distrust of Whitey going back to her college years.
Lady Michelle was largely kept under wraps throughout much of the presidential campaign after it was discovered she tended to shoot off her mouth almost as much as the Dem VP candidate, Joe Biden. She didn’t tell a crippled man at a Missouri rally to stand up, as Joe did, but her infamous line about feeling proud of America for the first time in her life after her hubby was nominated was far more outrageous. So, in Obama’s highly scripted campaign, she was a liability and was shuffled off to Buffalo or to the friendlier confines of her Chicago home.
Needless to say, just as hubby’s reference to campaigning in all 57 states with just two to go was ignored by an idolatrous mainstream media, along with his and Biden’s many other gaffes, so too was Lady Michelle’s foot-in-mouth disease.
Fortunately, you can run (and be muzzled) but you can’t hide on the other side of the Pond in Merry Ol’ England and at least one Brit writer, James Delingpole, has outed Lady Michelle’s dark history: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/james_delingpole/blog/2009/03/05/was_lady_macbeth_behind_barack_obamas_snub_of_gordon_brown.
Above all else and if nothing else in the twenty-first century, the Brits have their pride. Their worldwide empire, grown after Elizabeth I and bad weather trashed the Armada in 1588, and once encompassing fully a quarter of the globe, is long gone. It began to be whittled away after America told George III to stuff it in his wig in 1776 and was effectively ended when Mahatma Ghandi proved that passive resistance was mightier than England’s sword in 1947.
Yet, there’s still hope for the Brits based on the above article asking the Earth-moving question: Was Lady Michelle the driving force behind Obama’s snub of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown?
Frankly, my dears, I don’t give a damn about snubbing P.M. Brown, aside from the fact it evidenced the foolish and amateurish nature of the new administration, and nor do I give a flying fig about presumed or actual insults to the English. When they apologize for the atrocities committed against the Irish people for centuries, I might re-consider. But I doubt it.
In any event, that piece on TheTelegraph.com had its redeeming social value by exposing what is actually old news, that Lady Michelle, . . .
(Read the rest of this article at http://genelalor.com/.)
during the time that dr. martin luther king jr. was most prominent and his words most compelling, the 1960s, consider the votes — party votes — that passed the civil rights act of 1964. the failure of the Goldwater campaign that year, notwithstanding, this was a time of republican pride. a bit of reflection — and reminder of that vote — would be appropriate.
I agree with you Travis. And I’m glad you went to a fine school like Hendricken before Brown. That’s probably what kept your head on straight. I’m only sad that you don’t take your analysis a step further: The real solution to America’s problems is to clear the land of all liberals, nonwhite people, and Communists. Then we can go back to our true roots, when this used to be the land of native European Protestants farming the land for their survival and repelling the racist Indian invasions.
God bless you (if you’re American).
