Once upon a time Nazis executed millions of jews. Who paid for it ?…Palestinians. They were evicted from their homes and they are constantly under seige by Israel. The idea that Israel is fighting for their right to be in their homeland is a myth. How many wars have you heard of that last 7 days ? Israel is heavily armed, heavily supported, and they are in no danger of losing their country. I’ll admit that the “palestinian leaders” haven’t done a good job of getting international support with their terrorist tactics; Arafat was no gandhi.

What’s strange is I read a poll the other day that suggested 80% of Israeli citizens support Obama, while something like 20% approve of their own leader. Google it.

The problem is whenever we discuss the middle east nobody wants to look at the details. They always assume that muslims are a bunch of terrorists and our hands are clean. We used Osama to fight russia in afghanistan, armed saddam to fight iran for a decade, and even tried to put in our own leader in iran which was later killed, and so on…Israel is no exception. We support Israel as a state, give no real thought about a palestinian state, and go on believing Israel is our democratic ally and the palestinians are a bunch of terrorists and that’s that.

I don’t have anything against Israel; for years I thought they were decent people who wanted to live in their home land and were constantly being attacted because of their religion. I got that idea probably from the media, but after a little research I realized I was very very wrong.

Let’s get a few things straight, Josh. You are entitled to your twisted views of what you think is right and wrong, and if the rest of the world goes along with you, fine.

They met in a cabal at Evian, France, and decided that we were not to be admitted to any refuge in their fine lands – countries like the United States, Britiain, France, etc. etc. On the night that the Nazis rampaged through Germany, killing Jews in 1938, the night known as “Kristallnacht”, the British unveiled a policy of shutting the doors of this country to the one people who had sovereignty over it, the Jewish people. At least a million Jews died because of this illegal subversion of Jewish sovereignty over the Land of Israel. The leader of the “Palestinian Arabs”, Amir el-Husseini traveled to Berlin to personally lobby Hitler for the building of death camps to kill European Jews in Europe, so that they would not be sent to the Land of Israel. So let us hear no garbage about us Jews persecuting poor innocent Arabs as did the Nazis.

Neither the United States Army Air Force, nor the RAF ever bombed a single concentration camp or railway leading to one – ever – during the entire conflict known as WWII.

The British Empire threw all of its strength behind murderous Arabs who tried to kill us off in this nation in 1945-49. The Americans embargoed arms here. In 1967, the Americans tried to bully the government of Levi Eshkol not to attack the Arabs first. Fortunately, Eshkol didn’t listen. In 1973, the Americans succeeded in bullying Golda Meir into not attacking first. For forty-two years, behind the scenes, the United States and most of the powers of Europe have been stabbing us in the back in all sorts of ways, ways that have cost us thousands of lives.

Since your “international law” sentenced us to death 75 years ago, and continues to do so, we have no need to pay any heed to it or to worthless hypocrites who whine over its alleged violation.

Given that history, what do you think we owe you, Josh? Do you think we should obey what you or your uncaring compatriots world-wide call “international law?” I’ll tell you what you interfering foreigners are owed.

Since E. Jerusalem is internationally recognized as not, in fact, part of Israel, any settlements there are a violation of international law. I know you disagree, but please understand that the rest of the world sees this as theft of land, and it does not matter that some book, all written more than 2300 years ago, says it is OK. That same book, especially in Judges, explains how their deity doesn’t always let them have a land, and often scatters them to the wind. I’m not sure, but it sounds like you are presuming to know the deity’s will in this matter.

Thirdly, what Netanyay told his cabinet about Arabs being allowed to live anywhere in Jerusalem is not, in fact, what we in the business like to call “the truth.” I don’t know whether it is rank ignorance or an out-right lie, but Arabs cannot buy land held by the ILA or the JNF. In fact, an Arab couple went to the Israeli supreme court and won their case in 2000 to move in, but, last I checked, in 2005, they were still being blocked. The Israeli government is ignoring its own supreme court to block Arab ownership.

I know this is all very unpleasant and unbelievable to you, and I don’t know any subtle way of explaining it.
