Muslim Prayers of Hate
Someone recently sent me an Arabic video that juxtaposes snippets of sermons delivered by Christian and Muslim leaders in the Middle East.
The Christian preachers give universal supplications that include phrases like “O Lord, lover of all mankind and savior of all the world”; they quote biblical passages such as “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matt 5: 44); they pray that God may “heal all people around the world of their diseases.”
While such an approach is familiar, taken for granted even, the supplications of the Muslim preachers may surprise some. Popular Egyptian preacher Sheikh Muhammad al-Zoghbi was taped invoking his god thusly:
May Allah cut your tongue out! May he freeze the blood in your veins! May he inflict you with cancer and allow you no reprieve. … Allah, strike them with all sorts of disease, afflictions and pain! Allah, strike them with cancer! Allah, let your prophet overpower them! Allah destroy them! Allah destroy them! Allah destroy them! Allah destroy the criminals who challenge the noble prophet!
[Then, very serenely to his Muslim viewers] And peace upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.
Likewise, Sheikh Abdullah Nihari supplicated Allah with outstretched arms accordingly:
Lord, Lord, we condemn them before you! Freeze the blood in their veins! Strike them with evil, or at the very least freeze the blood in their veins — until they pray for death, but do not receive it! O Lord! O Lord! O Lord!
One need not understand Arabic to appreciate the intensity of Nihari’s hate: watch the 45 seconds starting at minute 2:15, and see the gesticulating cleric issue his curse while striking the floor with a stick, hurling a picture, and banging on the wall.
Also shown was a snippet of formal prayers at Mecca, Islam’s holiest city. As Muslims circumambulated around the Kaa‘ba, the following supplications were blasted on a megaphone, chanted to by Islam’s devotees:
O Allah, vanquish the unjust Christians and the criminal Jews, the unjust traitors; strike them with your wrath; make their lives hostage to misery; drape them with endless despair, unrelenting pain and unremitting ailment; fill their lives with sorrow and pain and end their lives in humiliation and oppression; inflict your tortures and punishments upon the unjust Christians and criminal Jews. This is our supplication; Allah, grant us our request!
After 9-11, when President Bush said “Islam is a religion of peace” we assumed he was telling the truth because we were as stupid about Islam as he was. Since then some of us have become more informed. There are still some NPR listeners who believe that Islam is equivalent to just about any other religion, but they are becoming fewer.
When people learn about the ‘prophet’ Mohammed, and see that he was something of a psychopath, and therefore Islam is a theology of a psychopath, perhaps something will be done about it.
I’m still waiting for President Bush to recant his inamously stupid statement.
After 9-11: I was listening, I believe President Bush actually said:
“Islam is a religion of Rest In Peace” and has been misquoted ever since!
Yeah, I’m waiting too. Every time I heard it I ended up yelling at someone that Islam is NOT a peaceful philosophy. Yes, I’m that childish.
Seems fairly obvious: Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism appear to be faiths grounded in, at the very least, understanding and acceptance of others. Unquestionably, Islam is based on hatred, envy and a large degree of sheer stupidity.
Islam IS a religion of peace: when they are in control peace arrives. The same kind of peace as in Jack Williamson’s “With Folded Hands.”

No, we were not stupid about Islam, we were uneducated as the whole entire American school system is one single outcry. We are number 25 in the world. Germany, years ago was number 3 and is now on place 18. It’s not more money, it’s better education which is not destorded by political correctness.
I didn’t know that much about Islam but I followed Israel since 98 and have done so for the twelve years and going. I knew enough about Islam from my school years, 1966 through 1979, that I knew it was not a religion of peace. But I increased my knowledge more than a hundred fold and it is frightening that most Americans do no want to know and our politicians on both sides of the aisle are lying to us daily.

Allah is NOT the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and Allah has NO resurrection power. Check out what the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is doing for Israel. Massive oil and natural gas supplies with the MEANS to extract and refine it !!! Who needs the Middle-East??? Nobody. Check out what young people in Libya are doing in the arts (the beautiful creations that ‘Allah-the-non-creative’ tries to suppress and destroy); young people are “rapping” about freedom from slavery and two-bit tyrants in their own language, but – using Western music, a mellange of East and West, which is a prelude of things to come. They are painting and drawing and storytelling about freedom – that would be the opposite of Allah’s slavery. Young people under the dominance of Islam are sick and tired of Allah and his useful-idiot Imams everywhere. The sanctity of live in the Arab world is nonexistent. They have adopted a religion that preaches death to non-believers and those that leave Islam for another faith. How can anyone argue that Islam is a religion of peace? Yet we protect the rights of Muslims in America more than the rights of Christians, which along with Judaism are the core principles of our country.
There is a new program that will air on the learning channel called “All American Muslims? The show will try to show how Muslims blend their faith with American values. Are you kidding me? Please explain how a practicing Muslim can possibly be loyal to the Great Satin, America? During WWII we were so worried about the loyalty of Japanese Americans that we shamefully sent them to camps. Yet we seem to welcome any Muslin with enough money to come to America. Does this make any sense?

I find myself wondering: What would be the reaction of a typical “religious relativist” — i.e., one who holds that all religions should receive equal respect — if he were compelled to confront that video and asked to say whether it had affected his views?
I continue to think that many such relativists simply dismiss religion as an important influence on human conduct. But surely there are some who know better…and to maintain their indifference after confronting such evidence would say very harsh things about them.

I have often wondered what the Muslim prays. Five times a day! Are his prayers rote? Does he show gratitude for his blessings? Does he ask forgiveness for his sins? What does he call sin, anyway? Or are there no “sins” if you follow the god SIN? Why do riots occur after Friday prayers?

Muslims do not have the concept of forgiveness of sins. So long as you fulfill the 5 pillars, you are justified in Allah’s eyes. He still may or may not let you into Paradise – the only way to be assured of that is to die in jihad (war against the unbelievers). Which, BTW, is why the “Islamists” get so many suicide warriors.

By any objective standard, Jesus was a righteous man, a man of true peace, universal love and human dignity. It’s hard to be a hate cleric when your moral beacon preached against hate.
Similarly, by any objective standard, Muhammed was a sadistic sociopath criminal consumed by unquenchable material greed and sexual lust, obsessed with bigotry, and addicted to savage, genocidal violence. Thus, it is quite understandable why Islamic clerics regurgitate Muhammad’s bile?
Understanding this, Rev. Wright and his Islamophillic acolyte Obama should quit their charade, come out of the theological closet and embrace their barbarian prince, Muhammed, as it is he, rather than Jesus, who informs their consciousness.

My family’s in SE Asia presently. Were supposedly in a ‘moderate Islamic country’, though even this country’s newspaper headlines boggles the mind most times. It’s obvious the writers of said newspaper have an appease the government/the Sultan’s message and religious dogma before hitting the populous. It’s like ’1984′ newspapers but a tad worse. AP articles have more insight!
I’ve worked/lived in many M E countries with a far higher percentage of Muslims but these other countries didn’t have a P A system throughout the cities for prayer times (8 times a day) like this one does. I’m sure you and some readers are well aware these prayer times are ‘assigned prayer times’ to boot!
Though each district has different prayer times whereas feedback from neighboring districts is expected/inevitable. Good times! Thank God for whale, jungle and ocean sounds on our Ipod sound dock!
What’s fascinating is this country’s economy is quite strong due to Western, NE Asian/Judeo-Christian country’s businesses, influences.
The combo of East-West is slow but happening here. It’s quite common to see girl’s/women wearing a hijab with tight pants and 4-6″ heels!

I, too, get pretty sick of that line “They worship the same God you do. ‘Allah’ just translates as ‘God.’”
And “Ba’al” translates as “Lord.” That doesn’t mean Ba’al worshippers were worshipping the same God that I do.
While I appreciate the article I’m not sure why people haven’t figured this out yet. “Kill the infidel” seemed really clear to me. As did the identification of me and my countrymen/race/ethnicity/civilization as the infidel.
I don’t see how much more hate filled a ideology could be. “Kill” is a pretty salient word.
