I’m reading plenty of milquetoasts writing here, not to rule out morons as well. Anyone who suggests that “moderate Republicans” can win is blind, can’t read, or understand the socialist news. Every time a “moderate Republican” runs, Republicans lose. When “conservative Republicans” run, the species also called Genunine Americans, Republicans win. The rest of you so-called Americans need to move over to the socialist Democrat Party and get out of the way of patriots.

I am also betting on the USA. We will recover from this deregulated mess. Anytime a complex society that runs well, deregulates itself, it will self destruct. It will run from great booms to busts. We have just experienced this phenomeon. The Military-Industrial Complex misguided adventures disguised as fighting for Democracy and Freedom?, they all go wrong, we lost thousands of lives , with thousands more maimed for life. Iraq turned into an Occupation and we are still there, for what? Iraqs lost hundreds of thousands of lives, and over 2 million Iraqies became refugees. We did this to take out one bad guy? B.S. We will come out of the economic hole America has been buried in. You have to believe in America or leave. We do have a problem regaining the lost jobs in America. We were promised that free trade would help our economy, it has done just the opposite. Our trading defict has gone from bad to worst that free trade was started. We continually lose jobs. People then have to take lesser jobs. The free traders continue to tell us we are doing good, while it all crumbles around you. We have no industry and jobs to return to. The stimulus will work for a few short years but there are no jobs after the stimulus unless we began to rebuild and stop the robber barrons from leaving the country with our jobs for quick profits. Hopefully the day has passed that the public will stand by and let corporations rape the American people. The Republican party is going the way of the Whigs. The demographics are changing. Republicans will lose seats in congress in 2010 and lose the election in 2012. They have let a group of far righr conservatives take control of the party when Americans are in the middle of the political spectrum. Blacks, Latino’s and the youth of the nation don’t buy the old reactionary crap of the conservatives. You have another factor coming, and that is the reintroduction of McCain-Kennedy Comperhensive Immigration Bill(Amnesty). It will pass this time. That means 13 to 30 million new voters. They will vote Democrat. The same radical Latino groups that put 500,000 illlegals in the streets of L.A. will sign these people up for Democrats. Standby the change is coming and your far right ideaology wont change it.

I’m one of those centrists who went left, so I can at least tell you why I did. I preferred McCain up until two weeks before the election, and will not hesitate to extol his virtues to this day. I went left, nervously, because I saw how the GOP was directing McCain during the campaign, and realized we wouldn’t be putting McCain into office, so much as keeping the GOP in control; and we see where that led.

I also realized the important sociological effect of electing Obama on how Americans felt themselves, and how the world felt about America. I didn’t realize how profound the positive reaction worldwide would be.

Nevertheless, I am a centrist, and radical left and right make me nervous. I have no regrets at all for my vote, nor do I feel the sky is falling. GOP reactions drive me further away from them, and I’m certainly willing to give Obama 4 years to prove himself.

I suppose most of these Timothy McVeigh clones, like MikeD and deguello, see them themselves as patriotic Americans. They are not happy with the government the majority put in power so they are going to change things. Not at the ballot boxes in the next election, but with guns and bombs.I don’t think Mr Rush Limbaugh will be there with them at the barricades. He will have better, more important, things to do at that time. Since you can’t negotiate with terrorists, I guess the only thing we can say to these misguided fools is, Bring It On ! ( as President Bush told those dead-enders in Iraq ). We will give you what you deserve and a little extra. I am betting on the USA winning this battle, IF it ever happens. Have a nice day.

I am sure the vast majority of Americans, without regard to politics reject deguello’s radical ideas. In the USA we change our leaders with elections, not revolutions. deguello obviously needs professional help. He should go to his local police station and talk to the desk sergeant about his problems, he will be taken care of .
