Left-wing Super PAC Hopes Bogus ‘Racism’ Claim Unseats Joe Walsh
A wealthy left-wing super PAC is targeting Tea Party-backed Congressman Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) for defeat because in the eyes of liberal activists he’s “racist.”
Just how “racist” is he?
“Incredibly racist,” professional left-wing organizer Becky Bond told attendees at the Campaign for America’s Future’s recent Take Back the American Dream conference in the nation’s capital. Bond is president of the well-funded Credo SuperPAC, an outgrowth of Credo Mobile, the wireless reseller that donates part of its profits to leftist groups such as the George Soros-funded Media Matters for America, the ACORN-affiliated Project Vote, Color of Change, and the Sierra Club Foundation.
Bond’s accusations sound really serious, don’t they?
But what’s the proof of Walsh’s career-ending bigotry? Bond quoted Walsh:
The Democratic Party promises groups of people everything. They want the Hispanic vote, they want Hispanics to be dependent upon government, just like they got African-Americans dependent upon government. That’s their game. Jesse Jackson would be out of work if they weren’t dependent upon government. There’d be no work for him.
Yes, that’s all of the evidence.
“One of our organizers caught him on tape saying” the above statement, boasted Bond. “It’s been all over the news and [is] also being shared on Facebook,” she said as she displayed Walsh’s damning admission of, errrrrr, well, whatever it was he admitted, on a projection screen to drive her point home.

If you’re a rational person with even a smidgen of reading comprehension, you’re probably having difficulty right now trying to identify the precise passage above that proves Walsh is racist. Liberals have been crying wolf about racism for decades, thus diluting the meaning of the term, so it shouldn’t be all that surprising when many of them lose the ability altogether to even understand what the term actually means.
Bear in mind that Walsh didn’t say that one race was better or worse than another. He didn’t argue for preferential or discriminatory treatment for anyone. His statement was about Democrats and how they harm Hispanics and African-Americans by using them to advance the leftist agenda.
Walsh simply offered a conventional sociopolitical critique of how the Democratic Party uses class warfare and identity politics to build and maintain political power. As former welfare mother Star Parker wrote in Uncle Sam’s Plantation, “A burgeoning lower class of people dependent on the government will likely continue voting for the party that keeps the handouts coming[.]”
If Walsh wanted to politely describe Democrats, he might have called them “social justice advocates.”
If he wanted to be more blunt, he would have called Democrats “poverty pimps.”

The use of the race card will only increase all the way to Election Day. It is about the only way Democrats in the purple state areas can hold onto power. This is especially true regarding Obama.
The left doesn’t need to play the racist card with Joe Walsh. Between redistricting by the Democrat controlled Illinois Legislature and his ill-advised remarks about his war hero opponent (Duckworth) he’s done.
I have wondered how Tammy Duckworth achieved certain military titles while avoiding the required classroom education necessary to achieve the title and why there is so much contradictory information about her injuries having been the result of pilot error and not combat. I think the use of Duckworth to oust Walsh is as transparent as cellophane-they hope a sympathy vote will do the trick-it is not reflective in her intellect or expression that she is qualified-but qualifications have seldom been the voter’s knowledge when voting-otherwise it is unlikely an eagle scout with questionable birth, school and associate history would have become the President of the United States. What a sad, ignorant country we inhabit.

The modern “progressive” (a misnomer if there ever was one) is so intellectually dishonest and bankrupt that when confronted with truth, he/she has nothing left but to cry “Racist!”

I live in west central Indiana just few miles from the IN/IL border. Most of the people in IL a hardworking conservative people. These folks must live under the boot heel of the Peoples Republic of Chicago and the Daley machine. I have the deepest empathy for the folks in State of IL.
Among liberal-left voters this plays. Among the rest of us, who are the majority, it is simply a tiresome drone that alienates us even more.
Bond is actually on the record as having stated explicitly that she is aware that Tea Party members are NOT racist, but calling them racist has been “an effective strategy for the Democrats”. It seems like she’s making a misinformed remark, but what she’s really doing is using the fact that he mentioned at least one race other than whites as a segue for “an effective strategy” to take down a Tea Party member.
IOW, she’s can’t use the excuse of being blinded by ideology, she’s simply lying. What a shock. Note that “By Any Means Necessary” is/was not a conservative group.
Do you have a link to her being on record saying that? It’s not every day the leftists fully admit in public to lying, so that would be useful to have around.

You’ll hear these words a lot for the rest of the year: “racist”, “divisive”, “mean-spirited”, “anti-immigrant”, “racist”, “intolerant”, “homophobic”, “war on”, “racist”, “gaffe”, “ultraconservative”, “far right”, “racist”, “trickle down”, “agenda”, “marriage equality”, “racist”, “invest in”, “denier”, “woman’s health”, and “racist.”
Yes, for a party whose members claim to be so smart, they do have a rather limited vocabulary.
Not only a limited vocabulary but an annoying habit of euphemism. “Invest” when they mean “spend.” “Affirmative action” when they mean racial discrimination. “Ex-offenders” when they mean ex-convicts, most of whom become recidivists. And, the grandaddy of them all, “undocumented immigrants” when they mean illegal aliens.
This has been an explicit part of Democratic strategy for years, thanks to a theorist named George Lakoff. He argues that euphemisms are the key to electoral victory. It’s doubtful. He might call blowing up the London tube and buses “man-made disasters” but to everybody else, especially the wounded and the survivors of the dead, it’s terrorism. “Overseas contingency operations” boil down to “war” and everybody knows it. If anything, as soon as you tell a man that when the government forces him to pay it more money as a “revenue enhancement” he notices that it isn’t his revenue which is being enhanced. He will conclude you’re a bloody liar even if you call yourself a “linguist”, as Lakoff does.
This is the “freeze it and polarize it” aspect of things.
By repeating the catchphrases to enough people enough times, the left hopes to catch fire in a bottle. The only problem with this is that once you close the lid, starved for air, that fire goes out. The same holds true for an ideology that exists in an environment devoid of reality.
I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if some leftie morons (redundant, I know) claim that just the fact that Obama is NOT running unopposed is, in fact, racist. It’ll be amazing should he lose that the same people who voted for him in 2008 but switch to Romney this time will all of a sudden become racists. Anybody who bothered to do their homework in 2008 would not have seen Obama for anything other than what he was: A typical Chicago thug.
Lets hope the lefties spend lots of money pushing that quote from Walsh because almost every non-leftist white person agrees with every word of it. The left is blind; they think that people are just sitting around waiting to be shocked by fake charges of racism when the reality is that people are enraged at constantly being called racists and then watching The Oppressed Minorities pushing for special privileges and free goodies. The election of Obama in a wave of good feeling from whites who wanted to show they werent racists and that everyone in the country has an equal shot at the highest office has turned into an ugly bad dream as racists like Holder have turned to selectively enforcing the law. This election will be a blowout for Republicans and Walsh will survive.

The racial issue is a distraction calculated by propagandists like Vadum to distract from the real danger of people like Walsh. If he and his TeaBagger friends continue to drive the agenda in the House and Senate, America will get just what it deserves. If we haven’t learned anything from the two years of destructive influence they’ve had since their takeover of the House, then we aren’t smart enough to deserve a break. Do you remember that they campaigned on jobs and have since been busy controlling women’s vaginas? The showdown they engineered last summer over the debt ceiling cost the U.S. a hit to it’s credit rating but succeeded in getting them 98% of what they wanted, a deal that they now want to renege on.
These are the same people that carried signs saying “keep your government hands off our Medicare” with guns strapped to their sides and turned town halls into shouting matches over a badly-needed reform of our health care system – a “reform” attempt that was pretty much business as usual and followed the blueprint actually concocted in a right-wing think tank which had been enacted by Rawmoney in Massachusetts. In other words, a business-friendly approach using the so-called “free market”. If anything, this was the biggest windfall for the health care insurers ever invented. They called this tepid attempt at reform “a takeover of the health care system” and “socialism”.
Elect these clowns and you DESERVE the destruction they will bring with their mindless rants and clueless policies.

Credo’s claim is ludicrous. Walsh is less of a racist than Jesse Jackson.
However, in the interests of historical accuracy, so is the statement that “It is the [Democratic] party that fought vehemently against the Civil Rights Act of 1964.”
Southern Democrats opposed the 1964 CRA, but non-Southern Democrats overwhelmingly supported it, as did Democrat President Lyndon Johnson, while Republican presidential nominee Barry Goldwater voted against it (unlike the great majority of Republicans, and in contrast to his previous record as a civil rights advocate).
The national Democratic Party was overtly complicit in Southern racist politics for about a hundred years. But that ended in 1948, when Northern Democrats embraced the civil rights cause. After that, racist Southern Democrats began to rebel against the national Democrats. In the 1948, 1956, 1960, 1964, and 1968 presidential elections, some of the most racist Southern states voted for third party candidates or a Republican rather than for the Democrat.

Mr. Vadum makes the important point that left-wing Democrats have so abused the meaning of the word “racist” that it is losing its ability to shock. It now covers almost everyone who is opposed to their Marxist agenda.
Joe Walsh works for the government, so what the hell does he produce for society? He is one of those whose living is dependent on government, his lifetstyle is completely dependent on tax revenues. There is your pot calling the kettle black. Anybody worth their salt avoids government jobs and makes big bucks in private enterprise to finance a wealthy lifestyle. I will vote straight Republican except for Joe Walsh. Tammy has my vote; this man is not a true American Patriot. BTW, my decision has nothing to do with this specific issue.
