well another deadbeat retires at an some outragious amount of taxpayer money. this will never stop as long as we have people in charge of our country,whom are in politics. congrats bratton. how many scumbags are given so much money for doing so little. My apologies for an honest question.
I wasn’t aware at the time that Jack Dunphy was a prolific contributor to this site.

Another honest question, though; and I certainly don’t mean to imply that anyone here is dishonerable, brain-dead at birth, or someone who pisses their bed-

You consider Mr. Dunphy to be well-vetted by the content of his writings, his factual accuracies, insights, and your general agreement on the subjects at hand. More or less, at least- right?
Yet if someone were to say that they trusted Barack Obama on the basis of his writings, his speeches, his words at debates, and the general reporting that has been done on him over the last few years, you would call that person a fool, correct? You would say that they should look much deeper into his personal background. That he should be far more well-vetted before being granted any kind of trust.
I wouldn’t necessarily disagree.
But why the double-standard on who you trust?

My belief is that many people hate and fear Obama FIRST, and THEN they seek out reasons. And they will search for reasons as long as they fear him.

That’s all for me.

Does anyone ask…why we see, few if any, big name Democrats publicly announcing their support for McCain? Yet, daily we hear from another leading Republican declaring their vote for Obama. What do these leading Republicans know about McCain/Palin that causes them to make this monumental decision? For those who have spent a lifetime backing the GOP, to express their preference for Obama, tells all Americans the Grand Old Party needs new blood.

All of the associations, and then some, you sighted about Obama are indeed substantive and relevant to be vetted and answered by a man who wishes to be President of the United States. I find it extremely revealing in your lack of intellectual honesty that you sight the Ayers and the Annenburg debacle as an example of one of McCains “questionable” involvements. When in fact, as soon as McCain heard of Rev Hagees’ comments he immediately addressed them and refused Haggees endorsement. Far more than Mr.Obama did when the hateful and Anti-American tapes of his “Mentor” surfaced.
The 440k that was given to Khalidis group was for to study the possibility of democracy in Palestine. A knobble cause, unless you’re saying that the people that you prefer to align yourself with lie in order to destroy this Great country? Interesting… But I am happy for you, happy that you’ve found that empty slate in Obama to sit behind. Now you can put your callow ideals and morals behind El Che-Obama. As for McCain, he wasn’t having dinner with Khalidi, Ayers, Wright, Flagher, Raines, Jackson, Farakahn and the list goes on… And anyone with more than 2 functioning brain cells can see that Rev. Hagee and his “possible” endorsement of McCain is hardy any match for that embarrassment to the human race Rev. Wright. Ease up on drinking the kool-aid over at the dailyKOS, its regurgitation embarrassing by you is pathetic. Your plausible ignorance in these matters is hardly becoming of an educated Senora… Pasa Buen Dia. (hope I spelled those correctly)

Political punditry abounds here, as well as fallacious comparisons. You mention Rev Wright, however, not Rev Hagee McCain supporter who calls Catholics “…whores…” This was at a rally McCain attended. Khalidi’s group got 440K from the Republican Institute McCain chairs. Ayers was on a board with Obama;this board was founded by McCain supporter and fellow GOPer Walter Annenberg. Paltry pontification sans factual information here doesn’tserve your cause

Josh @57 – Someone75 was using very harsh sarcasm. In fact, he is an Obama supporter. I understand your confusion, as I had to look twice. I only know this because I’ve been dueling with him for a couple months.
