Sometimes a slow burn is more satisfying than a big 'boom'.

Enjoy.

America's in sad shape if John Edwards is the stuff of "legend."

When I think of "legendary" Americans I think of those whose personality and deeds were so outstanding they enter American folklore and are remembered for generations (well, perhaps not these days, thanks to the bang-up job the public schools are doing.) John Paul Jones. Davy Crockett. Frederick Douglass. Lee and Grant. Alvin York. Gen. Patton. MLK. Our legendary presidents are too obvious to name.

We also have our legendary bad guys: Benedict Arnold. Al Capone. John Dillinger.

Silky Pony is just another bland political operator. A hypocrite and an opportunistic ambulance chaser. He's not interesting enough to even put in the legendary villains column. 15 years from now, he'll be a Trivial Pursuit question. And one that will cause many players to scratch their heads as they struggle to remember who John Kerry's running mate was. "Jeez, what was that guy's name again? I remember he had nice hair."

If I were better at versifying, I would have a great deal of fun writing a faux folk ballad about "The Legend of John Edwards."

The only "Edwards legend" existed in the minds of the left, who are too morally obtuse to see that he did anything wrong. The rest of us will write him off as one of America's great hypocrites.
