I say Sotomayor doesn’t represent the way most Americans see things, either.

Further, I say that the administration of justice and the rule of law (imperfect as they may be) require that the judge be completely color blind and, even, “background” blind.

Thirdly, I say that a younger Sotomayor on video attributing her lower college admission test scores to “cultural bias” built into those tests sounds glib, even a cop out.

Thanks to affirmative action (“we support mediocrity”) we seem to have quite a few individuals in high positions these days who, apparently, got the college admission or the recognition/promotion for less than reasons of pure merit.

I have come to believe that many on the left,(I can’t call them “Progressives”), have disdain for the writers and signers of the Constitution, and therefore they disdain the Constitution itself. When they were in school, they weren’t taught critical thinking and relevant history so much as the laziest political thought. The slavery which some of founding fathers indulged in was condemned, but statism and socialism, slavery by other names, were extolled. The rank and file lack the thinking skills to see that and the leaders, I think, see that and are OK with it.
The Constitution and the Principles of The Declaration of Indepedence and faith in God are what set the USA above all other nations. To stray as Obama and Sotomayor are obviously inclined to do is not good.

The Republicans can easily defeat Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination. Most Americans disagree with her concerning affirmative action policies. GOP legislators merely need a little courage. They are unfortunately worried about being charged with racism.

The Democrats should pay a severe price for their racially divisive policies. They have no interest in our country getting “past race.” On the contrary, Democrats subconsciously wish to make sure the wounds never heal. They are similar to the to the torturer who constantly rubs sandpaper on a healing wound.
