Iranian Rulers, Believing Pre-Messianic Destruction Is Imminent, Make Film To Prepare Muslims
Several months ago, I was informed by my contacts in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard that the Basij had started work on a film that had the approval of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The purpose of the project: to inform Muslims across the globe of the immediate coming of the last Islamic messiah. As my English translation of the film makes clear (watch it exclusively at PJTV), the Iranian leaders, now more than ever, feel that all the stars are aligned for such event.
Ever since the Iranian Revolution of 1979, the Islamic rulers of Iran have declared themselves representatives of God on Earth, believing their mission is to pave the way for the reappearance of the Shiites’ 12th imam, Mahdi.
Their belief is based on the centuries-old Hadith by Prophet Mohammad and his descendants, who have provided clear guidance as to the timing of The Coming.
According to the Hadith, in the age of The Coming a revolution takes place in Iran. This is a key sign indicating that the reappearance is near, and serves as the initial preparation in the worldwide movement for The Coming of the last messiah. Based on this belief, the leaders of Iran see it as their duty to prepare the ground for The Coming.
One of the most important keys to securing the reappearance of the last messiah — as called for in the Hadith — is the annihilation of Israel, and the conquering of Beitol Moghadas (Jerusalem). They state with conviction that Islam will soon conquer the world, and that all infidels will be destroyed.
The pursuit of nuclear bombs by the radicals ruling Iran is directly connected to this belief: war, chaos, and lawlessness must engulf the world to pave the way for Imam Mahdi’s reappearance.
This movie has been produced in Iran by an organization called Conductors of The Coming, in collaboration with the Iranian president’s office and the Basij (Iranian paramilitary force). Also, reports indicate that Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, President Ahmadinejad’s top adviser and chief of staff, was directly involved with this project. The movie was completed a few months ago and was recently screened for the high clerics by the Iranian president’s office, with one of its high-ranking official analyzing it.
So we bet Al Gore and they have raised Mahdi. Spin the next reel. Who’s is it to be? Southern Baptists? Mormons? What do the Rastafarians have to show us?

Maybe, just maybe, if Obama spent less time with his basketball brackets and spent more time cracking open a few history books he would see that the Iranians are deadly serious about their religion and this satanic quest to end the world, especially destroying Israel. We are in very, very, dangerous times here and when the Muslim Brotherhood takes over in Egypt, everything will be set for the Iranians. The Egyptians will use Gaza as a starting point for an invasion of Israel and Hezbollah will launch hundreds of rockets from Southern Lebanon. Heaven only knows how many Iranian Revolutionary Guards are already in Lebanon right now to make all this happen. And, with Egypt on their side, Israel will be very, very, alone once again.
The big question is Syria. I’m not sure all of this can happen without Syria. If Assad can hold on, I don’t think he’ll buy into another war with Israel. But if Assad is overthrown and is replaced by an Islamic fundamentalist or a mullah, then watch out. It will be time and Iran will get Syria to go along with the plan to invade Israel. That will set off a chain of events that will start another World War and, possibly, the last World War because this one will be fought with nuclear or chemical weapons (or even possibly both).

Sorry I am a simple woman so I ask this question: Israel was established in 1948. The story about the 12th Mahdi must be much older so how is it that Israel seems to be mentioned by name?
Good pick-up. One could say that the nation is its people and the Jewish people have existed since Judah, son of Jacob. But I rather think this is just convenient prophesying with little real substance. And if you take an overall look at it, it appears a copy of the Christian Messiah. (which I believe is the real One. And Yes, He is definitely coming.) Even describes the Islamic messiah as ‘returning.’ I’d like to know when he came the first time.

I agree with you – Israel is in extreme danger. Surrounded by enemies and, for the first time in my life, barely supported (one could even say grudgingly supported) by our president. Israel has lost its ultimate protector – we are led by a weak president who is out of his element on foreign policy. His message of weakness is not lost on the arabs. They can’t wait to go after Israel. Make no mistake, we will know within 24 hours of when Iran gets the bomb – they will use it on Israel. There are enough comments about the context and I will spare that. But note a very important point: the term: “Beitol Moghadas” (Jerusalem) – this is making a Persianized term out of the Hebrew term “Bet (Ha)Mikdash” – meaning the temple or “house of the temple”.
The Hebrew “Ha” just means “the”. So it can be dropped.
Remember how they all claim (including the “peace loving” Arafat) that there has never been a Jewish temple in Jerusalem? So did Perssian (a non Semite language) got a Hebrew / Semite term for that?
I did not read this article but for my comment there is no need to do that. As Christians, we believe the same. Yet there is a huge gulf between what the Koran and the Bible says. The Koran says that man is the one that has to bring destruction in order for the Messianic Imam to appear.
While the Bible states that man will create havoc on the earth, morally, social, and militarily which in turn is GOD’s punishment on mankind. There it is not man but God allowing for it to happen. Man thinks while God is at the steering wheel regardless of man’s actions.
Both books state the same thing. Yet, it is God who allows it to happen. When Muslims think that they bring about the messianic age they are wrong because once the Messiah will come back again it’s those who thought they bring it about that will have a rude awakening.

In order to accurately portray a threat, intent must be separated out from the ability to carry out that intent; that ability must be gauged empirically on its own merits.
If there is another imperative at work, the intent itself must be made to seem as much of a threat as the ability to carry out that intent and so organization’s are justified, money is raised, meetings held and pencils and paper shuffled.
We’ve known for centuries about the Mahdi both in Sunni and Shi’ite Islam. We know Iran’s religious elite hates Israel and pretty much everyone else. Iran is just stoking religious fires which is routine for them. Jesus is coming and Mohamed is coming and the devil is coming and the world’s going to end. Earthquakes, sedition and all the rest are pretty much happening all the time and I am not expecting any faces wearing turbans on the face of the moon any time soon.
Obviously it is the means by which Iran can do harm that is the issue and not the more insane aspects of their religion which is ever present. I don’t see this ‘film’ as important or noteworthy.
Not only is the Iranian regime likely coming to an end but so is Iranian oil. Hopefully in the coming decades Iran will simply sink back into irrelevance without a last violent spastic attempt at global recognition based on the overweening arrogance which is endemic with countries like them and Egypt and Saudi Arabia among some few others.
Because we don’t know the make up of the rank and file of Iran’s armies but DO know that the people of Iran aren’t exactly in line with the goals of the religious zealots who rule Iran, it becomes a matter of whether the Iranian gov’t can truly count on the army in any kind of radical expression of militarism. This makes it likely that the fewer involved the better and also increases the likelihood of a rather suicidal viewpoint since a small cabal will do crazy things a large population that just wants to get along with their lives will not.
Missiles are then the perfect expression of this reality as is nuclear ambition since the number of decision makers is kept to a minimum. If there were NOT to be a peaceful transition into a more secular Iran in the near future, one can imagine a rather last stand mentality taking hold although it seems unlikely. It is a difficult situation and difficult as well to parse out the difference between propagandistic bluster like so many goofball fascists before them and real and deadly intent.
In the past fascist movers and shakers had to have the people on the same page with them in order to move and shake and this is problematic in regard to Iran. In any event, Iran is hemmed in with no one to invade really and if they did have someone it is unknown in 2011 how much the army could be trusted to move against polities that are in fact no threat to Iran. The regime risks too much in going beyond rhetoric into action which could upset their apple cart.
Shooting missiles at Israel might prove suicidal for the regime and come at great cost to the country of Iran and we don’t know if those who shoot the missiles would obey.

It is slick and interestingly non-specific. I would presume any good Muslim knows what the Koran and Hadith say. Yet the text simply state that prophesies stated by others are coming to pass and it names the leadership by name –for example King Abdullah. It labels these as signs, but does not explain what will happen besides the Mesiannic message.
It does not actually reference chapter and verse of the texts. Either this is already known to the audience; or, more likely, they’re expected to follow what these religious clerics are saying without question.

I see in the film where current honchos in Shi’ite Islam are alluding that they are The Ones named in the Hadith, Ayatollah Khamenei as Khorasani, Hasan Nasrallah as Yamani and Ahmadinejhad as Shocid (sp?).

The death of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah is supposed to presage something important that will encourage the Mahdi. Reportedly, however, Khamenei isn’t in very good health himself. What happens to the story if he expires before King Abdullah ?
That film is pure propaganda, and not very artful propaganda at that. If Muslims at large buy into the alleged “history” presented in that film, we are truly in the Dark Ages.
According to Moslem eschatology, the Mahdi will come to power accompanied by the Moslem “Prophet Jesus”. The Mahdi will give the “Prophet Jesus” power and authority to convert the world to Islam. Any Christian or Jew who refuses to convert will be beheaded. The Mahdi and his side-kick will rule for seven years, then a Jewish Messiah (the Moslem “anti-Christ) will appear on the world stage, and all Moslems are commanded to go and fight against him.
Here we see the reverse mirror image of Christian eschatology which says that the anti-Christ and his false prophet will rule the world for seven years till the Jewish Messiah (Yehoshua ben Yosef ben David ben Elohim)returns and destroys all nations which rise up against Him. The Mahdi and the Moslem “Prophet Jesus” are identified in the Christian Bible as the anti-Christ and the false prophet.
They won’t come to power though while a nation identified as the final Babylon power is still on the world stage. This final Babylon power is identified as the world’s final and greatest super-power nation, and the world’s policeman (Hammer of the world). That nation will be destroyed then the anti-Christ and his side-kick will rise to power in the confusion which follows.

Everyone who believes Iran will nuke Israel may be right. But if they do, they had better hope to take them by surprise. Isreal has nukes as well and will have no problem hitting back. They will have a chance to launch before ANY missle hits. Iran’s proxies may think twice if they see a mushroom cloud over a major Iranian city or two.
