I used to hold Dick Cheney in high regard, but I don’t anymore because post 9/11 they completely got the Islamic threat wrong, and then along with Bush, Cheney helped to preside over one of the largest expansions of the federal government and biggest power grabs in US history, while also helping to orchestrate two incredibly counterproductive and fantasy based nation-building missions in Afghanistan and Iraq that inevitably turned into the two biggest strategic blunders ever in US history because they were both based on the canard that Islam is a so-called Religion of Peace™ being hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists along with its corollary canard that we must help the so-called moderate Muslims to defeat the so-called extremist Muslims, which are both fantasy based and political correct myths.
Indeed, the correct reality is ALL MAINSTEAM ORTHODOX MUSLIMS are jihadists. A few of them are violent jihadists, while the majority of them are non-violent jihadists, and the few that are not jihadists are not Muslims at all, but instead blasphemous apostates that per the dictates of Islam must be executed.
Bush/Cheney also conflated violent jihad with terrorism and even naively declared a War on Terrorism, despite the fact that jihad, which is holy fighting in the cause of Allah and a product of Islamic civilization only, and terrorism, which can be for any number of political causes and is a product of Western civilization only are mutually exclusive of each other and in fact two entirely different things altogether.
In addition, terrorism as its name implies always involves violence directed against civilian non-combatants, whereas jihad, on the other hand, can be both violent and non-violent and is fought against non-Muslim unbelievers only, whether civilian non-combatants as in the Madrid Train Bombing or military combatants as in Afghanistan and Iraq. In fact, the non-violent varieties of jihad relative to the violent varieties of jihad are employed astronomically far more prevalently. Yet, because violent jihad thanks to Bush/Cheney is always conflated with terrorism today, the non-violent varieties of jihad unfortunately take place throughout the West not only completely unacknowledged and unopposed, but indeed are also actually encouraged.
For instance, the most prevalent form of non-violent stealth and deceptive jihad today is mass Muslim immigration to the West for the purpose of eventually making Islam supreme via demographic conquest. Indeed, just like clockwork and in country after country and everywhere and anywhere mass Muslim immigration is taking place throughout the world today, without a single exception the vast overwhelming majority of Muslim immigrants flat out refuse to assimilate and integrate and instead form segregated Muslim enclaves that over time eventually morph into Muslim no-go zones ruled by Sharia and in direct contravention to the laws of the states in which they reside.
Hence, the solution post 9/11 to protect the homeland was not to double the size, power, and scope of the federal government as Bush/Cheney presided over like Dhimmicrats on steroids, but instead to ban and reverse mass Muslim immigration ASAP, as zero Muslim jihadists in America means zero jihad attacks. They also should have targeted OBL and AQ in retaliation for 9/11 and to create deterrence, while ousting Saddam as well, but without all the incredibly counterproductive, fantasy based, and endless nation-building.
