It has been persuasively argued that President Obama is impeachable on many grounds. Having joked that he could do anything he wants, Obama is guilty of running roughshod over the Constitution, bypassing Congress and governing by executive decree, stuffing his administration with Muslim Brotherhood operatives, making common cause with America’s enemies and betraying its allies, promoting the global warming scam at enormous cost to the taxpayer, accepting illicit campaign donations, failing to defend U.S. soil against illegal border crossings (in direct contravention of Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution), being in contempt of federal court for his oil-drilling moratorium in the Gulf, allowing the IRS to target conservative nonprofits seeking tax-exempt status, approving via his attorney general Operation Fast and Furious, concocting the Benghazi cover-up, and constantly and illegally rewriting the rules of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, at least 29 times to date. A more comprehensive record of Obama’s ethical violations and misdemeanors lists 51 reasons for impeachment, some of which may be comparatively borderline, others flagrant.

Aaron Klein and Brenda Elliot’s recent volume Impeachable Offenses provides a case for the judicial indictment of the president that is as harrowing as it is incontestable. Former New Jersey Superior Court judge Andrew Napolitano has added his authority to the movement for presidential censure, claiming that impeachment is the only way to stop Obama’s unprecedented resort to executive action. In his new book, Faithless Execution, PJ Media’s Andrew McCarthy makes a sustained argument for impeachment not simply as a legal resort but as a political remedy for the commission of “high crimes and misdemeanors” — a term, as he explains, that the Framers borrowed from English law. Ben Shapiro goes even further. In his just published The People Vs. Barack Obama: The Criminal Case Against the Obama Administration, Shapiro lays out the case for Obama’s arraignment on charges of treason.

We are confronted with the dispiriting spectacle of an ectopic presidency cobbling together broken promise after broken promise to advance an agenda that grows more suspect with every passing day. If impeachment proceedings could be started against Bill Clinton for a sordid fling with a White House intern, it stands to reason that Obama should be impeached for a much graver offense, a sordid fling with an entire nation. Such political tumescence should not go unpunished. That impeachment proceedings have not been initiated to date has nothing to do with Obama’s culpability; rather it is testament to the lack of integrity, courage and political will within the American political class, in particular the fear among Republicans of jeopardizing the upcoming congressional elections or of being considered “racist.”

With regard to the latter, Frank Camp, writing in Last Resistance, expresses the problem with exemplary clarity: “Racial fear is keeping Obama safe from criticism, and that shouldn’t be the case.… It’s time that we put aside this ridiculous notion that criticizing a black man is wrong, simply because he’s black. Obama has failed this country, and it’s not because of his race, but because of his character.” Thankfully, there are some among the black community who are beginning to awaken to the disaster that is Barack Obama and who might offset the timidity of people terrified of criticising a black (or half-black) president, irrespective of his unsuitability for office. Reverend Bill Owens of the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP), for example, does not mince words in his assessment: “In my lifetime, I’ve never seen a president as bad as this president.”

Much has been and continues to be written about what is probably the most mendacious administration in American political history. The fact that so many of Obama’s vital records are sealed or problematic should have raised alarm bells and disqualified his candidacy in the years before he assumed office — or at least have alerted a sentient electorate to the ethical and political travesty his presidency would become. Many are now experiencing buyer’s remorse, spasms of retrocognition, but the slightest degree of early attention to Obama’s defective résumé would have avoided such metaleptic regret or rueful hindsight. So insidious a burlesque as his presidency would become should have been obvious to any serious voter. When one follows the trajectory of Obama’s career, one knows that one is dealing with a man who is a liar from the egg, a man for whom suppressing the truth or lying outright is the daily fare of his existence — indeed, tracking the president’s innumerable lies has become something of an Internet sport.

The incongruities in his personal narrative are so vast as to provoke the conviction that Obama is little more than an embodied fiction — unless one assumes that a man born four years before his parents presumably met in Selma in 1965 is some sort of miracle worker or godsend. Aside from autobiographical disparities and obscurities, the empirical lies and political abuses continue to pile up. Senator Ted Cruz is in process of issuing a series of reports on the Obama administration’s abuses of power, having enumerated 76 instances of such constitutional dereliction at the hands of an “imperial presidency.” Blogger Tim Brown has documented 252 sourced examples of Obama’s lying, lawbreaking, corruption and cronyism, which as we are aware have culminated in a number of recent whoppers. For example, Obama insists that there was not “a smidgen of corruption” in the notorious IRS scoping of conservative organizations, yet the former director of the IRS Exempt Organizations division, Lois Lerner, who advanced the process, has twice pleaded the Fifth and will be held in contempt of Congress. Moreover, it now turns out that some two years’ worth of Lerner’s emails have been unaccountably lost. Something doesn’t compute, and we all know what that is.

If anybody believes that impeachment is feasible, I suggest that they first try a "trial run" by impeaching a Cabinet secretary or a Head of Agency (i.e. IRS Commissioner John Koskinen). If you cannot impeach Koskinen, you can never get Mr. Big. If you CAN impeach Koskinen, a tremor courses through the rest of the government which may lead to further success.

Remember, D-Day happened in western France, they did not try to parachute into downtown Berlin.

It is true that the man that occupies the White House is nothing but a criminal in word and deed.

And it is also true that if Article II, Section IV were not written with men of his character in mind, then there are no men deserving of impeachment.

But impeaching Obama would be nothing more than rubbing slave upon a sore while the cancer is metastasizing throughout the body.

It is the Federal leviathan that needs to be torn down. This bureaucracy is completely out of control and is not the offspring of one particular party.

Obama definitely needs to be impeached, and 2014's elections are key to removing him from office. It's better to get ourselves tarnished than to let him get away with a rap sheet of crimes in office so extensive it's even been the subject of several books and makes Watergate seem like a... well, not even a crime at all (since burglary is technically a misdemeanor). Especially when no matter what happens, despite what critics to impeachment claim, we're probably going to get scapegoated regardless, and our left-wing dominated academic system will still immortalize Obama regardless (after all, they did with FDR, even falsely claiming he saved us from the Great Depression when he actually made the Depression even worse). We need a republican majority in the House and Senate, and not just any majority, a majority that comprises at least 2/3rds, and considering that a lot of people are demanding for Obama's impeachment, even several in Obama's base, chances are we will see impeachment soon enough. And everything is indeed falling into place. Even the mass media and DNC is getting nervous, with the latter even explicitly stating that stopping impeachment proceedings against Obama is one of the key reasons why Democrats should be re-elected during the 2014 elections in emails to their base and/or undecideds. That's one thing that we didn't have back in 2010.

Nobody in all of these uncountable, endless discussions of Obama's corruptness ever discusses just how it was that the Secret Service...are they the ones who "clear" a candidate for president?....came to approve Obama's selection as a candidate in light of all of these inaccessible files and his eclectic [!] background.

How could he have ever passed a security clearance for a mid-level Civil Service position?....anywhere?

No, Secret Service does not clear them. FBI does that kind of stuff. However, they have no choice but to clear an elected official. Voters trump all.

You know what would be funny? If the next Prez were a Repub, and just for kicks, they investigate Obama's background, and find out he really was born in Kenya? LOL

I've filed this under "Things Likely Not to Happen."

A group of White Americans attempt to remove our first Black President.

They succeed.

He is replaced by a White man.

All played out on television over a period of weeks.

Think about how that would play out.

First order of business: Win a majority of seats in the Senate and increase Constitutional Conservatives in the House. Obviously, without reclaiming the Senate, no conviction is possible. Once this is achieved the Leadership of the House and Senate can inform POTUS that his renegade presidency is over. He must either govern within the law or he will be impeached. If he continues his imperial presidency then impeachment is the constitutional remedy.

One of the most unjust thing that will occur, since the founding of our nation, if Obama is not impeached he will take away our ability to prosecute all of the criminals surrounding him. If not impeached, he will insulate all of them, allowing both he and his cohorts to continue their aimed destruction of our nation.

Be prepared, it will get worse, lock and load.

Impeach Barack Hussein Obama?
It's not going to happen my fellow Americans.
He has accumulated and amassed too much executive power.
We must wait until Jan. 20th, 2017........if that day ever comes.
Good luck, America.

IMPEACH NOW!

Vote against every (so-called) Republican that doesn't VOCALLY support IMPEACHMENT NOW.

Anyone who thinks the transport of tens of thousands of Central American children, somehow across, through, or around Mexico, wasn't willfully planned and carried out by Obama and Company simply isn't playing with a full deck. It's more sand in the gears to destroy the United States of America.

PS Read Raspail's =Camp of the Saints=.

January 2014, DHS solicited bids to move unaccompanied alien children (illegals), 365 days a year, Solicitation Number: BERKS-RFI. The operative term per the bid listing is that DHS/ICE claims there “will” be approximately 65,000 alien minors requiring assistance.

This administration, Obama, knew these kids were coming? It is apparent these kids were helped to get here and this administration was in on it, why else would they ask for
bids to move these kids. They are already projecting that some will be MS13 gang members, that is aiding the enemy.

The nation has ONE constitutional, workable recourse. The House's power of the purse. Unless both houses convene in November with R super majorities a legislative choke will fail because the president operates extra-legislatively, by executive fiat, not to mention his veto power. An attempt to impeach will be blocked in the Senate. A lawsuit fails because there are 2 ways to remove a president in the constitution; election and impeachment. The courts will not be a part of a novel method to remove the highest officer of an independent branch of government. If the House fails to close the purse strings we may deduce either cowardice, disagreement with us on the severity of the situation or fealty to the pigs feeding at the government trough that eould also suffer in am effort to reign in a rogue executive.

That's why we must work very hard to ensure (legally, of course) conservative Republicans are elected into the Senate, as well as retain control of the House. As long as both sides are firmly in Republican, Conservative hands, Obama's toast (especially when Harry Reid shot himself in the foot by eliminating the filibuster method last year).

Finally! An article that doesn't accuse him of being stupid. This guy is about gutting our nation's heritage, and thus far, he is doing splendidly. Turfman, above, is right on the money. It's not just Obama (he'll be through in two years and I doubt the nation is far enough down the drain to crown him emperor). It is that the Federal government needs to be severely reduced.

Cochran's recent 'victory' (if it can be called that since it took Democrats to get him there) is indicative of the problem. Nobody should be allowed to run for a seventh (or third, for that matter) term in the Senate, or more than five in the House.

Impeachment isn't going to happen. What are needed are term limits and a balanced budget amendment. When pigs fly.
