About a year ago, I rode a bike (motorcycle) completely around, and across Oz. I like Oz and I like Ozzies. It’s the only place I’ve ever ridden where complete strangers invited me to their homes to spend a night. I found they were much like Americans, a little more egalitarian, and proud of it. Diving on the Barrier Reef was fascinating, Queensland reminded me of Texas, right down to the Santa Gertrudis cattle and the King ranch.

There are only 25,000,000 or so Ozzies. I found they treated their Vietnam veterans as least as badly as we treated ours, till very recently. They seem to be more welcoming to immigrants than we are, possibly because area wise they are comparable to our lower 48, but have huge amounts of empty space.

Oh yeah, I found that in towns, you better look left before you step off the curb, if you want to live long enough to come back and tell about your wonderful stay there.

You know, you don’t help your Almighty Obama’s cause by being so petulant and mean. If you are indicative of his supporters, well, it just doesn’t speak very well of him, now does it? It’s going to be a long, long campaign season for you if you don’t calm down. I shudder to think how you’ll handle a McCain/Palin administration, if you’re this worked up about the campaign. Get off the computer, turn off MSNBC, try yoga or long walks, that might help.

By the way, don’t bother taking a minute to think of a clever retort, I am done with this board and shan’t return!

Being a fellow Canuck I get a laugh out of folks claiming a female at the tender age of 44 is not capable of governing a country. Our history tells us of Queen Elizabeth the First, who at the tender age of 25 took over a bankrupt country called England and within 44 years she made the British Empire while destroying Spain & French aspirations for her country. I see much more strength of character & personal integrity in Palin & McCain then I do in Obamba.
