Stop labeling yourself a liberal or conservative! Think for yourself. You got to look at the facts plainly, without Rush or liberal slants. Bush was horrible plain and simple. Beyond the fact that let his politics get in the way of what was best for the country, he was so damn proud and stubborn. I mean, the best person realizes mistakes and takes accountability for them. We were in a budget surplus before he bankrupted the country. Hiring guys like Rumsfeld and Cheney is almost criminal. Judge your leaders by their actions and results. Obama has only been on the job a couple of months and the conservative base is praying for him and the country to fail. That's not what I've liked about the Republican view in the past. I want my President to be that...Presidential. He needs to be able to influence...and it's so obvious that Bush wasn't respected at home or abroad. If you look at Bush's life, you'll see he's bankrupted every company he's ever run. Texas Rangers..check...oil company...check. Sad...really.

Note also that at one point the Clinton administration questioned about asking the extradition but then they tell "hpw we would indict him?" and at anothr point they fail to even ask his extradition telling "Sudan will not extradite him" and don't even try. Too much paperwork? Fear of getting a headache thinbking about how to pressure Sudan? Fear of straining a finger while typing the demand?

Ok, according to the document Sudan did not propose to extrade Bin Laden. However the document does not precisely show a vigorous commitment from the Clinton administration in getting him/learning abolut his future plans.

Robert,

You are ridiculous. National Review? Free Republic? Clinton Crimes? You must be a dittohead as no one, no one, takes any of them seriously. They lie and anyone with any sense knows as well.

Try this official report that directly contradicts the liars.

page 3 of the 911 commission report

http://www.9-11commission.gov/staff_statements/staff_statement_5.pdf

"that is mainly because of Bush’s lack of communication"

Try that one at the office.

Yeah right. All of the problems are because Bush was a poor communicator. And even if that was the case, which it's not, what difference does it make?

jhapr...2 things you are right about back in post 65. 1 - that 50 years will more than vindicate GWB. Wish we could fast foward to see if it was correct to get rid of Saddam and help spread democracy. 2 - I also agree that it is incredibly sad about the current mortgage crisis. Try really hard (it's not really that hard, if you'd like some links let me know) to think about how this mortgage crisis started. Oh do you need some schoolin. Ever hear of sub prime and do you know who pushed for all them? The Dems. Now... what about all this debt that Obama is pushing. How about the Pelosi Reid team trying to push a bill that is loaded with pork and earmarks to pay off some constituants and increase some "social agendas" that have zero to do with stimulating the economy? You want to talk about spending and where we will be in 50 years? What the heck is an intelligent person like you reading anyway? I laughed out loud when I saw someone who thinks like you actually claim that conservatives are "delusional".

An educated man?

Ah yes. Reminds me in Rabelais "Pantagruel" the distinction between a well-made head and a well-filled one. Specially when it is filled with the crap who passes as an education in liberal circles like gender studies, Ward Churchill's mental diarrhea and similar soft science.

While we are at it, the strong does not harp on his education. That is for weaklings.

jahrp... I totally assure you that I am seeing the condition of our country. Much of what is presently going on (and it is appaling) is due to a democratic congress and guys like Franks and Dodd who were warned of this upcoming economic crisis years ago but chose to do nothing but keep on drinking at the trough and pushing for subprime loans. I realize however that that is an argument for another forum. (If you are unsure how the mess really started I can provide more links) As far as the GOP is concerned, I do agree that it is now in total disarray but that is mainly because of Bush's lack of communication and what he has allowed the media to do to not only him but the party. I never defended Bush's ability to communicate or defend himself. He obviously was NOT Ronald Reagan. Now please...I can not believe that you, as educated as you apparently are or say you are, are unaware that Clinton was indeed offered Bin Laden. I at first thought you were teasing when you said that but then by the tenure of your words I realized you were actually being serious. jharp, maybe I can teach an educated man something?? This is history...not fiction. Ridiculous? Google it. It is easy. I don't need to send a smart man like you any links do I? Well... maybe I do. Maybe I should help you out here judging by your response above. I am sure I could get my troglodyte knuckles off the floor now and find some links for you to take a look at.

Oh look. I just googled Bin Laden Clinton and there are 21,700,000 links that came up. Amazing. Now, as I look at them I see that many of them are extremely reputable sites including many "liberal democratic" news sites. Knuckledraggers? I'm going to help you out jahrp and at the end of this comment give you just 4 links for you to peruse. one more thing that puzzles me. I really do wonder however why you don't read the NY Times. Interesting for an educated man especially a liberal thinking fella like yourself. I am a conservative and still read the NY Times (as bias and far left as it is) because I am open minded and like to see both sides of all the issues we face as a country. I must admit that I read it mostly on line because I don't like paying for editorial lies, but still...I do read it. Do the liberals do that? I have often felt that it would be extremely interesting to have all people take a geopolitical, foreign policy and domestic affairs test before being able to vote. I could guarantee the GOP knuckledragging troglodytes would well outscore most of you "educated" libs.

I didn't want to spend all night clicking links jharp. You can take a look at the other 21,699,998 when you have a few months to kill. These were just 4 out of over 21 million that show that Clinton messed up. If he hadn't, do you think it is possible that 9/11 wouldn't have even happened?

Oh and by the way, just in case you are wondering..I checked most of Guariglia's claims concerning all that he said in both part 1 and part 2 of this article. Guess what jharp... he is dead on right. You have no argument except a possible unexplained dislike for Bush. Facts are facts. History can't be changed and someday I hope that when the Bush administration is finally vindicated, "educated" people like you claim to be will be able to humble yourselves enough to finally admit that most of your ire was way way over the top and founded on an extremely slanted media. Robert AKA "Righty" :)

Robert,

Link please.

I am an educated man. Don't read the New York Times. And don't have much trouble discerning the truth form fiction. That Clinton was offered bin Laden is ridiculous. And it is only the uneducated knuckledragging GOP troglodytes who still try to sell that one.

It is you who has no clue. Witness the condition of our country now.

Please. Share with me again how George Bush left the Republican party in such good condition.

jharp...... Mr. G is far from delusional. Nick G is completely accurate. Read some will you? Do some (REAL)research and stop reading the NY Times. You have no clue if you think what Mr. Guariglia wrote is wrong or inaccurate. He is dead on in 100% of his facts. (ALL CHECKED BY THE WAY)It is possible that you are one of the masses. I have always said that "the masses are a.ses" and I guess your infantile statement proves me right. It is in fact delusional to believe the MSM like NY Times and MSNBC and think that what they are feeding you is the truth. Read the real information like Mr. Guariglia has privy to and then maybe you will get over your BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome). Let us see what happens with Obama at the helm in the next year or two. Oh I see it all going down already. Amazing that people have been so duped.
