PJ Media Washington Editor Bridget Johnson published an exclusive interview this weekend with Dwight Chapin, the former deputy assistant to President Richard Nixon and the first member of the White House team to resign as the Watergate scandal unfolded.  Chapin had this to say about the IRS scandal:

It’s fascinating some of the similarities, you know; the talk about Nixon having an era of criminality or whatever it might be in the Nixon White House, and at the same time now we’re wondering about this aura of prejudice against the Tea Party people and so forth — and whether or not that rhetoric from the very top of our leadership led to the possible actions by the way of IRS agents. And it’s a very similar situation.

Chapin believes the IRS scandal is the most serious one facing Obama. Do you agree? Tell us what you think — and why — in the comment section below.

The difference between the Obama scandals and those of previous administrations, such as Nixon's Watergate or Reagan's Iran/Contra, is that the culture has changed to such a degree that we've spent five years living in the swamp of corruption of the Obama Campaign/Administration and most Americans couldn't care less. Why? Because we now live in a society awash in corruption of every kind and most of it is either accepted as normal or, if it's so outrageous it makes it onto the internet or TV, the cretins that now make up John Q Public emulate it. The thugs who put together this criminal enterprise known as the Obama administration were clever enough to know that their timing was perfect, the stars were aligned and they would get away with whatever corruption they wanted to inflict on the country. And they have, and will.

The fraud of Obama, himself. The birth legend frauds, the likely Indonesian citizenship he claimed as an adult to get into Columbia U, his transcript at Columbia, his fraudulent deals with the convicted fraudster Tony Rezko.

After that .... Benghazi -- dead fellow Americans. The rules of engagement in combat under Obama -- dead fellow Americans. The Seal Team 6 helicopter take down -- dead fellow Americans. Fast and Furious -- dead fellow Americans.

The attempted lynching of George Zimmerman.

Then the robbery of GM and Chrysler bondholders, debt holders, and dealers shut down. The IRS scandals. The NSA-FISA scandals. Direct political attacks on the wealth and liberty of citizens where those citizens were on the wrong side politics.

The racialist attack on police officers that led to the Beer-summit. The political-correct social experimenting in the Military. The scandalous DOJ voting rights section, the dropping of the case against the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation. The intimidation of states by the DOJ over efforts to clean up voting rolls. These are high crimes too. Divisive to the good order of society.

The internal scandals involving abuses of expense and training accounts, prostitution, graft, etc.in the Secret Service, in the State Department, in the IRS,
etc etc. Moral turpitude infests the Federal Bureaucracy. This is also a high crime, after it has become pervasive.

Benghazi is the most problematic for Obama simply because it was his 3 am phone call and he didn't answer, then covered it up and hid the witnesses. It can be directly linked to him and was his responsibility and he can't claim ignorance. The other scandals, including the IRS, and wiretapping are bad but he can claim that 'others' were responsible and those under him never informed him.

Of course Benghazi must be the worst because he deliberately allowed the enemy to win a battle. To assist the enemy on the field of battle is an act of treason. The price for having a traitor as Commander in Chief is going to be huge. That act of treason must make America's enemies bold and make America's friends less confident. The US Armed Forces have been gravely insulted and abused by this act of treason.
The second biggest scandal is Fast and Furious. Many US government departments and agencies were involved so it is very reasonable to suspect that the White House negotiated with drug lords, and helped them in exchange for campaign contributions or something else substantial.

Don't be silly. The Obama administration isn't facing any scandals. No one in the Regime is going to pay any price for their criminal enterprises, least of all Obama or the Democrat Party.

"The Obama administration isn't facing any scandals."

I'll give you that. They are certainly doing their best not to face any of them.

Obama's dereliction of duty on the night of the Benghazi attacks on US consulate,
his subsequent refusal to tell a true story of his failure as CIC, the resulting loss of American lives because of inexcusable inaction or wrong orders: Among all his other
failures, this seems to be the most damning. Does this sound like bias? Your damned right it's bias !! I hate anyone who accepts a job and takes all the salary and perks and sneers while thumbing his/her nose at the boss. That's us, folks.

As someone who writes taxes for a living, I do think that the IRS scandal will have the most long lasting consequences though many are now unforeseen.

Most of the people that come in to have their taxes prepared and filed accept it as part of life, it has to be done. But I think that acceptance is based on the belief the tax code is law, administered equitably by the IRS. The discovery that the IRS has used it's enormous power to benefit one party in the election process demonstrates that the IRS is not impartial and so cannot be trusted to administer the collection of taxes impartially either. Corruption spreads throughout an organization the way mildew grows unseen.

Does the IRS target people for audits that don't agree with the governments policies? Apparently they do. Should I warn my clients? Advise them to stop Facebooking and Twittering? Are those the new "red flags" for an audit? Who knows? And that's a very big problem.

The award for the most devestating scandal will end up being based upon what information comes out. Right now the frontrunner would be the IRS scandal but it appears that this will be morphing something larger and more sinister. When other events such as Mr. VanderSloot's coordinated attacks by the IRS and DOL and how True the Vote's founder Catherine Englebrecht was the victim of a coordinated attack by the IRS, FBI, ATF, and OSHA, people will begin to see blatant political attacks on Obama's enemy's that will be argued bought Obama the electon. There is no other choice, these had to come from the White House. This will be the blockbuster unless the Benghazi testimnoy releases information on who made the stand down order and what forces were really available for a rescue. If it turns out the stand down order eminated frm the White House, then it is all over. Of course, there is a sleeper with the potential of being the far greatest scandal of all and it is on no one's radar right now. If it ever comes to light that Mr. Obama attended college on a foreign student scholarship then....

The most devastating scandal is yet to unfold and that is all the fraud and criminal activity that went into the document fraud of Barry Soetoro. The evidence has been packaged and is courtroom ready for someone with testicles in the House to end this nightmare. Those law enforcement investigators collecting the evidence were hoping for the media to watch their presentations and do something about it. The media is corrupted to the bone marrow, and that includes the Conservative media as well so they were forced to go another route. It may happen soon.

The only crime Nixon did in the White House (well, besides considering China to be an ally despite it being Communist) is covering up the burglary. A Misdemeanor, in other words. A lot of the charges were trumped up, some even being blatantly false. The one responsible for many of these falsified charges, not to mention the scrapping of the original impeachment process established with Andrew Johnson, was, ironically enough, Hillary Rodham (better known as Hillary Clinton).

That is in no way comparable to the deeply criminal actions Obama and his administration has done while in office, including Benghazi, targeting Tea Party members/Conservatives via the IRS, possibly hacking Windows users with the NSA, leaking SEAL Team 10's identities, the GM and Chrysler robberies, the NSA-FISA scandals, making Zimmerman a scapegoat, rules of engagement, Beer-summit, allowing a Chinese person to sing an inherently anti-American song at the White House at one point, allowing PSY to visit the White House, Fast and Furious, having the military do social-engineering, authorizing the military to turn guns against America (even having powerpoint slides to do such), the whole Panthergate business, the DOJ voting rights section scandals, Fast and Furious, and all of those things. Heck, his hiding his birth and school records by Executive Order alone would be more than enough to be considered extremely suspect about Obama. Probably the closest president in recent history to actually have this sort of thing with him was Bill Clinton, whose criminal actions in Arkansas and his philandering were covered up until Drudge got onto the scene. Heck, if we want to get technical, Clinton was also our first anti-American president we ever had (if I must remind you, he was involved in some extremely anti-American protests during the Vietnam War, even having a file on him in the FBI). Just watch the Clinton Chronicles.

Benghazi....Dear Leader has repeatedly lied on camera before the American people. Yeah, I know he has lied too many times to count to the American people, but he lied about leaving our Patriots hanging out to dry. He flat-out said that he was not responsible...

None of the other crimes are insignificant - Fast and Furious, IRS, NSA, Huma's access to everything aka: the mooslimification of our State/DOD/CIA/FBI...Jesus, and all the crazy things we don't know about yet, but BENGHAZI gets to the root of what it means to be an American. We may never agree on a specific course of action, but by God, when the troops are sent into harm's way it ceases to be ideological. WE SUPPORT OUR PEOPLE. If we hate the policy, bring them home and THEN fight over what changes should be made.

Remember BENGHAZI!

Benghazi is going no where, the cowardly military officers will not step up. General Carter Ham is the key and he will not talk. Shameful when a man has to end his career a coward.

I must remain optimistic that these anti-American douchebags will pay for leaving our people to be murdered...no matter how hopeless it may appear. They can lie, cheat, steal, whatever....but by God, we cannot allow them to get away with murdering American patriots. I pray the truth comes out and those responsible pay the price whether political or criminal - or both.

In other words, if Obama is found in bed with a dead girl a few eyebrows might be raised; if he's found in bed with a live boy he would be made King.
