Honor the Victims of 9/11 with Action
Going to the website for the Terror-Free Oil Initiative is another concrete step. The site has a list of oil companies that do not import their supply from the Gulf and a list of companies that do, allowing you as a consumer to better choose whom to give your dollars to. This is the same group that opened up the first “terror-free” gas station in Omaha in 2007. This won’t make the price of oil any lower due to such high demand and countries supporting extremism by selling oil will probably find other customers, but you can sleep better at night knowing your trip to the gas pump didn’t directly fill their coffers. It’s a step in the right direction and it needs to become a nationwide movement.
A small donation to organizations doing important work in fighting radical Islam is in order, or at least an offer to volunteer some time. The Investigative Project on Terrorism has done priceless work in exposing radical Islamic groups here at home and is a valuable source for those in government and the private sector alike.
Although it might offend some, I must suggest supporting moderate Muslim organizations like the American Islamic Congress and the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, which M. Zuhdi Jasser, the courageous Muslim featured in The Third Jihad, is president of. In my own speaking engagements, I have found most Muslims eager to learn more about groups such as his, previously aware only of high-profile groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Criticism of groups like CAIR must be matched with support for groups like AIFD that wish to compete with them.
Groups like the American Congress for Truth, which has an impressive organization for activism, and the Christian Action Network, which produced the Homegrown Jihad documentary and is working on another one about the rise of radical Islam in Europe (full disclosure: I am a national security researcher for them), deserve to be supported if you feel they are contributing to your safety.
Most of the groups I mentioned above are often viewed as being aligned with the right wing. Liberals uncomfortable with supporting them can support groups like Freedom House or any group aggressively fighting for democratic reform and human rights in the Islamic world. The struggle against gender apartheid and other forms of oppression by tyrannical governments, especially those in the Middle East, is a decisive factor in the war against radical Islam. Liberals on campus should make a concerted effort to have speakers that can discuss the persecution of homosexuals, women, religious minorities (including Muslims), and political dissidents by these regimes and extremists. And of course, Americans of all beliefs need to support organizations helping our soldiers in every way possible.
The key is to act, network, and organize. We do it every time when we meet someone somewhere and locate them on Facebook. We do it when we email and call our friends and colleagues to organize parties or events. With just a tiny fraction of the effort we put forth for our own entertainment and socializing, we can each honor all of those victimized by radical Islam by helping to defeat it.
When you think of 9/11, don’t just feel. Don’t just sympathize. Act.

Excellent tips and pointers. If enough people did just a few of those things, cumulatively I think it could help make an impact.
Thank you, Mr. Mauro!

It was interesting to go to the “terror free oil” site. They listed a number of companies that do not import oil from the Persian Gulf as well as the ones that do.
What confused me was that CITGO was listed as importing oil from the Persian Gulf.
When did Venezuela move to the Middle-East? Must have been a heck of a job!
Venezuela/CITGO has a deal with Iran. Venezuela’s own oil is heavy, high-sulfur and hard to market.
A legitimate government, elected without intimidation, fraud, and deception would serve the interests of the American people, enacting legislation that reflects the majority opinion of the people, and would uphold and defend the Constitution.
The current Administration does none of those things. It is a stealth Jihad.
Start by cutting their supply lines and their communications networks. Supplies are cash – starve them. You have the power to diminish their supply of funds from personal taxes by channelling amounts to charitable causes. Be cautious that the charities you support are not mere fronts for these enemies to acquire funds. Do your homework.
Their communications network is funded by advertiser revenues. Research who advertises on the enemy channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN… ) and papers (NYT, LAT, AP…), advise those advertisers you will no longer purchase their products or services, and then stop buying those items and cease viewing the enemy propaganda channels, or reading their papers.
Freedom requires that each one be the General of his own army. If you want to defeat this enemy, YOU need to take individual, definitive action.
The most important battle however is the ideological battle:
1) Islam presents itself as the religion of peace and that wars are against injustice. Debunk it. Tell about a what the Coran really says on eternal war against infidels. Tell that the concept os islamic “justice” is Muslims having more rights
2) debunk the mytyh of Islamic tolerance. Tell about the provisions of dhimitude, tell about the pogroms. Ask why if Jews were so better in Islamic countries, all the success stories are from european Jews.
3) debunk the myth of islamic science: Islam played a very minor role in transmitting Greek science and philosophy. Mount Saint Michel was far more important than Cordoba. And whatever Obama says it invented close to nothing (sepcially once you account for teh work of Jews and Christains in occupying countries). It is true that at one point it was more advanced than most of Europe but those regions had ben more advanced for centuries and, what is remarkable is that once Islam submerged the Middle East, Europe quickly caught up despite Islam being in a far better position for access to the intellactual production of China and India.
4) Uncover its racism. “Treat the Arab like an Arab and the mixed blood like a mixed blood, the Arab is entitled to two shares (of booty) and the mixed blood to one”. This is in ancinet book of islamic warfare but is reported as a haddith (words of Muhammad). Tella bout Islamic slave trade. Tell about Darfur (specially when Blacks are present).
5) Question why piss poor countries like Afghanistan or Bangla Desh are enriching the Saudis through outrageous prices for the pilgrimage.
6) Tell about local cultures being arabized, play on the nationalistic fibre.
7) Read a life of Muhammad. Read about the murders, the rapes, the plunders. How, every time, he wants something, be it women, wealth or a 9 years old girl “God sends him a dream” (how convenient, no witnesses) allowing him to do whatever (break treaties or the law, even islamic law) it is needed to fulfil his desires. Question how a such repugnant man could create a religion of good.
This is what we shoulld be telling both in Western countries and through broadcasts and movies to non-Western countries.
Biblio is one of those who said Iraq was the wrong war, Afghanistan was the right war. Now he wants the “right war” to be surrendered. What happened to change his mind I wonder. Oh I know.

Honor the Victims of 9/11 with Action . . .Honor the Victims of 9/11 with Action . .. that sounds vaguely familiar . . . hey, here’s an idea . . . how about we Honor the Victims of 9/11 with a day service? That or we could wave pictures of Obma as a Nazi and scream “He’s a Muslim.” Though i can’t for the life of me find out how many Nazis were Muslims? anybody know? One?
Though i can’t for the life of me find out how many Nazis were Muslims? anybody know? One?
A number of them fled to Arab countries and eneded convertiing to Islam. Friendship between Amin Hsseini and Hitler is well known. Nasser and severl other Arab nationalists were friendly to the Naiz ciase during WWII.
Hitler himslef told it was a pity that the Franks hadn’t been defeated at Tours/Poiriers since “given German racial superiority over the Arabs they would have quickly turned the tables and armed with Islam they would have been unstoppable and rule the world”. Several other high ranking Nazis told about how much better it would have been if WWII German soldiers had been Muslim
uh JFM, aren’t you taking your dreams for objective reality ?
I can’t see that the Wehrmacht guis would melancoly for an islamic identity !
but you are well informed, of course, so I’d like to see your sources
well, I appreciated that you mentionned Mont-St-Michel, though you overestimated its importance, there have been “educated” Syrians” (monks ?) that escaped from ME when the muslims took over the aeras and could carry on their translator job of the greec philosophes and mathematicians, I don’t recall that they went up to Mont-St-Michel, but stayed in Italy and even followed their masters until Cordoba

They weren’t Wehrmacht guys. They were SS and similar.
well, I appreciated that you mentionned Mont-St-Michel, though you overestimated its importance,
I didn’t. Read “Aristote au Saint Mont Michel. Les racines grecques de l’Europe Chrétienne.”
there have been “educated” Syrians” (monks ?)
From 20 “Muslim” translators in the field of Mathematics, 18 were Assyrian Chritians.

Contacts with Greece and teh Byzantine empire in order to preserve or recover the Greek heritage began as early as Chlodwig (in fact earlier: when pêople became unable to read the Greek books that Romans had left. Romans hadn’t translated Greek books into latin since educated Romans were fluent in Greek (1) ) and intensified under Karl der Gross (aka Charlemagne): by the time the firstbook had been translated in Cordoba, the Mont Saint Michel Abbey had been doing it for fifty years.
Also could you tell me why in the hell, except for some very minor works where was no other copy, someone would travel to Muslim land to translate from Arabic to Latin (a huge syntaxic and semantic gap between a semitic and an indo-european language leading to many imprecisioosns) works who had already suffered from being translated from Greek to Syriac (another huge gap) and from Syrica to Arabic (a minor one) when he could find the unaltered work in Greece or Byzantium and perform the comparatively easy task of translating from Greek to Latin and get a far better result? Not to mention that even when relations between Rome and Byzantium were at their worst it was far safer than going to travel to the Byzantione empire than to Muslikm lands.
Do you, realy, think that there was any need of Muslims for getting the works of Plato, Aristotle, Euclides or Pythagoras in Latin?
(1) You probably taht when Caesar was stabbed by Casca, he told in Greek “What are you doing Casca”, that is Casear spoke in Greek to another Roman.
JFM, I know Gougenheim’s book, it made quite a polemic the intellectual and medievists circles

well still I can’t see why SS would embrace islam, Germans were also Franks (for the Rhein population), and both countries France and Germany, shared Charlemagne as emperor, whose grand-father was Charles Martel
