Does anyone seriously believe that Drudge dug this up himself? This is a setup folks. Harry spent enough time in Afghanistan to make a good story and the British government and Royal family tipped Drudge so they could have a good excuse to pull him out.

Harry looks good, the royal family looks good and Harry gets out with a token appearance. Lots of photo-ops for everyone. Even Proince William did the chummy family thing.

I’m feeling pretty creepy and dirty about reading Drudge, too. His actions put the lives of people at risk — how can he possibly justify this?

Kudos to Prince Harry. Now….where are the privliged children of our President and Presidential nominees?

Ok, so some stupid Aussie womens’ magazine which makes its sales on royal gossip couldn’t rub two cells together after the Iraq posting debacle and published their ‘exclusive’ on their website a month ago. But it didnt leak past that (the magazine is New Idea, which should be changed to No Idea and has strong ownership affiliations and cross promotional yada yadas with the top rating national TV broadcaster here; which makes me think there are elements of positioning for some one upmanship in the Aussie media wars down in all this).

And there was also some leak in some German paper which went nowhere.

Meaning, enough people put two and two together to shut up. Until Drudge.

God, if America is our (Aussies’) best ally and all Americans were as concerned for our boys’ safety as Drudge is for the U.S.’s British allies much less a royal, I’d be voting for an end to the alliance.

Actually, most of the responses have been very negative toward Drudge. It isn’t treason – Drudge is not a subject of Her Majesty. It is instead a case of the same kind of media exceptionalism that led the NYT to blow the lid off a completely legal program. Drudge really screwed this up for our ally, and I’d like to see him apologize publicly.

I have to say I admire the young Prince. He might have come off earlier as a bit of a spoiled playboy, but when the time came to deliver, he stepped right up to fight for Queen and country.

I am certain he is having a royal fit at being forced to relinquish his leadership role and return home early. But he can be proud of the short, but very hazardous, duty that he was able to perform. Good show, Harry!
