    I wonder whether elected Republicans should stop ignoring Carter’s idiocy, whether there’d be some benefit to saying things like, say …

    “Given Carter’s hostility toward Israel, he really can’t be taken seriously on Middle East issues.”

    or

    “Given Carter’s role in bringing the Iranian mullahs to power in the late 1970′s, he’s not the best person to consult as to how to handle them going forward.”
