Of course there is NO DIFFERENCE in the minds of ‘outsider’. All ‘he’ sees is bullets and motars flying around.

What Hamas has been delivering at Sderot is rockets and mortar bombs. Even now that they have signed a truce with Israel they, or some allied jihadist group, continue the attacks. So Hamas either can not or will not provide law and order on the border with Israel.

Tha Arabs’ devotion to a Palestinian Arab State comes late. Between 1948 and 1967 Gaza was occupied by Egypt, the Golan Hieghts by Syria (part of the old British Mandate of Palestine that Syria seized in 1948) and the West Bank by Jordan, but it never occured to any of them to set up a Palestinian Arab State. When the PLO was fonded in 1964 it was exclusively directed at destroying Israel, and did not concern itself with trying to rule those areas under the rule of their “Arab Brothers”.

Interesting post.

Gaza sucks, one way or another. “Palestinians” are an invention, undistinguishable from jordanians.
Hamas is an ofshoot of Muslim Brotherhood, now with Iranian support.

Islam sucks, too.

Despite the comments, Hamas remains the elephant in the living room that people are trying to ignore. I’d rather watch them from a distance, thanks. But for those that have no choice, they seemed a better option than the corrupt Fatah two years ago and the Quartet’s idea of ignoring the obvious is a dismal failure.

Besides, if they deliver law and order on the border with Sderot, isn’t that what Israel is asking for?

Gaza hopeless before hamas, even under fatah, it’s used by all as vessel, a strip of land on the frontline. all of it’s inhabitants are pawns in great Islamic purge of the Zionists. under hamas they simply have less resources at their disposal to carry out the ideological destiny of martyrdom. the goal is not statehood or coexistence, it’s to conquer by force with patience, tenacity & zeal, all arabic adjectives for the word hamas.

Interesting piece.

I was struck by this statement quoted though..
“There’s law and order and the corruption has completely gone.”

I guess he means there’s less visible corruption on the street in the common eyes, because Hamas is hoarding fuel & supplies destined to Gazans to no end, just like Fatah & Arafat hoarded the billions in pure cash aid from the Palestinians continually, money that is gone to this day.

Also as pointed out above by PJM’s keen commenters, Hamas was instrumental in sowing daily violence so it’s a small wonder violence is down now that they have VIOLENTLY seized power. This is like saying there was real good law & order in Iraq under Saddam, sure everyone wants to avoid the secret police knock on your door late at night and being shot in the street without trial, justice, rights or even committing a crime for that matter. Everyone is FREE to live the Hamas WAY! Awesome.

Yeah. It sounds strange. Contorted. Delusional, even.

Try walking around Gaza if you’re an “infidel”. Try walking around Gaza if you’re a Jew. Try walking around Gaza if you’re a secular woman who doesn’t want to succumb to the mind numbing fascism of Islam. I somehow think Gaza would be a very unsafe place. This article is a load of swill. The “Palestinians” supported Hamas overwhelmingly. As devout Muslims, they revel in the genocidal premise of such parties as Hamas, Hezballah, Islamic Jihad, and the charming “Martyrs Brigades”.
