Expose the Party Crashers
[Updated: PJTV will be making the "Expose the Party Crashers" movement a major focus of our Tax Day coverage. Along with that, we have a new email address: tpcrashers@pjtv.com. See at the end of the article for more information.]
On Tax Day, April 15, tea party activists plan to demonstrate all over the country. PJ Media and PJTV, of course, plan to cover this nationwide (and don’t forget, we’re still looking for citizen journalists for PJTV).
Apparently, the tea parties are beginning to worry the left. Having failed to convince people the tea parties are extreme, racist, and violent, they’ve decided to take matters into their own hands. If the tea party activists won’t cooperate by being racist and extreme, those behind the “Crash The Tea Party” website have another idea: go to the tea parties and provide their own racist, violent (or simply stupid and misspelled) signs, and disrupt the demonstrations.
We know from previous experience that as soon as anyone puts up a racially charged sign or suggests anything but peaceful non-violent protest, there will be immediate calls for everyone to the right of Karl Marx to immediately disavow the people involved. (It appears that sometimes the calls to disavow the actions actually precede the event, in fact.)
Of course, whatever the source, racially charged language, threats or actual violence are unacceptable, whether it’s some misguided soul working independently or a false-flag demonstrator trying to manufacture an incident.
So let’s work together to beat them at their own game. If you see anyone with an offensive sign, take a picture of it and forward it to us at PJ Media. Mail it to our tips address (story@pjmedia.com new address: tpcrashers@pjtv.com) and we’ll publish it, along with an explicit statement that this doesn’t reflect the real tea party spirit. Try to get the person’s face, so they can be properly shamed.
Of course, if they’re leftists flying under a false racist flag, they will also have their faces and signs published. They’ll also be derided, just as if they’re real racists. If their friends happen to see them, along with their sign, any conclusions they draw will be their own.
UPDATE:
As you’ve seen at the top of this piece, PJTV is now making the “Expose the Party Crashers” movement a major focus. As well as calling on Tea Partiers to send us photos of any racial or offensive signs (tpcrashers@pjtv.com remember), we will be covering them in our live TV coverage all day on the 15th. We’ll keep you updated on the details.
In the mean time, here is some guidance in bullet points to make it easy to remember:
Things to do:
- DO get photos or video of any offensive signs or behavior — racist signs, signs connecting O’s administration to Nazis, anti-Semitic signs, signs calling for violence — and send them to tpcrashers@pjtv.com.
- DO inform them calmly and civilly that the signs and behavior are unwelcome.
- DO get pictures including the faces of people holding and standing with the offensive signs, and context.
- DO have “Infiltrator” and “Brought to you by…” signs as described in the comments, and stay close to the offensive signs so it’s hard for the legacy media to single them out.
- DO capture video of people shouting offensive words or slogans. Loudly — but calmly and civilly — challenge them for the misbehavior, and get that on video, so it’s clear it was denounced at the time.
- DO assume people with their faces covered, especially with a balaclava or ski mask, are not your friend.
- DO report any harassment or assaults to the police, and capture that report on video as well, if possible. (I learned this at the Democratic Convention in 2008: after Michelle Malkin was mobbed and I was assaulted, I reported it to the police, who said, “Shall I call an ambulance?” I eventually got an apology from the Denver PD, but it would have been a much bigger thing for them had we had video. And don’t forget, Alex Jones really is a consummate ass.)
- DO KEEP YOUR COOL. Keep calm. Be nice. These people are agents provocateurs, and the worst thing you can do to them is not be provoked.
Things not to do:
- DO NOT confront offensive protesters any more strongly than to tell them they’re unwelcome.
- DO NOT make any attempt to force people to leave, or do anything they don’t want to do.
- DO NOT make any concerted attempt to figure out if someone is a “real” Tea Partier or a plant. If they’re being offensive, get their pictures, send them in. No one with a racist sign is a friend of the Tea Party movement, no matter how much they say they are on the Tea Party’s side.

WELL THIS IS A GENIOUSE IDEA’S. I DO’NT THINK ANY LIB’S WOULD OF BEEN CRAZY ENOUGH TO SHOW THEY’RE FACE’S AT A TEA PARTY RALLEY, BUT I DID’NT KNOW THEY WEAR PLANNING TO ENFILTRATE IN THIS SNEAKEY AND UNDER-HANDED MANOR. WE OUR LIKE THE OLD SONG BY STEELY DAN, WE ‘TACKING IT TO THE STREET’S'!
Excellent, now unstick your capslock, use your spellcheck and stop yelling at us.
res ipsa loquitur (oh dear)
Please stop. I think we “get” your act. It’s not funny nor even the slightest bit convincing. I realize getting turned down by Media Matters for that job as a monitor of right-wing “hate” sites was a great blow to you , but you need to move on and find another outlet for your misdirected zeal (and negligible skills as a writer of satire).
WELL ‘MISTER H’ I DO’NT WO’NT TO BE A ‘KNIT-PICKER’ BUT THEIR’S A GRAMMER ERROR IN YOU’RE COMMENT, ‘NOT … NOR’ ITS A DOUBLE-NEGETIVE. WELL WE NEED TO MAKE SURE TO KEEP ARE GRAMMER AND SPELLING 100% CORRECT TO MISPROVE THE LIB’S ARE SAYING WE CA’NT SPELL
Actually, not…nor is not a double negative. “Nor” is a conjunction. It does not combine with “not” to make a double negative. “I am not not going to our local tea party on Thursday” does contain a double negative. See you there? I’ll be glad to take a picture of you and your SI’G'N….
WELL ‘DOC DAVID’ I GUESS YOUR RIGHT BECASUE I DID’NT KNOW THAT THE WORD ‘OR’ SHOUDL’NT BE USED IN SITUASION’S LIKE THAT, BUT I GUESS IF ‘MISTER H’ HAD USED ‘OR’ HE WOULD OF BEEN TRIED TO SOUND ‘ACADEMIC’ BUT ‘NOR’ ITS TRUELY GRAMMATTICALLY CORRECT AND, ALL SO, JUST PLAIN SPEACH LIKE SARAH PAILIN WOUDL USE. I WILL STOP USING ‘OR’ THANK’S TO YOU’RE ADVISE
Good morning Mr. Levin
How’s living on Hemenway St in Boston for you?
WELL WHAT IS THAT SOME KIND OF INSULT? I THINK YOUR TRYING TO INSULT ME BY EMPLYING THAT I AM OF JEWISH ANCESTORY, THE NAME OF ‘LEVIN’. WELL YOUR OBVIOSULY A MOONBAT TROLL WHOSE ANTI-SIMIDIC.
WELL I CAUGHT ONE! IT’S A ANTI-SEMIDIC RACIST MOONBAT! WE SHOUDL PUBICIZE THIS!
Go away moonbat TROLL you have been outed.
If the song you mean is “‘Taking’ it to the Streets” it’s by The Doobie Brothers, not Steely Dan.
obvious troll is obvious
Normal Guy,
That cap locks key can be toggled off as well as on. Might want to give it a try some time.
Ed
Howdy cuz,
When’d you git out o’ th’ pententary? I’ll tell paw to hide th’ sheeps (cause we all knows how partial you is to ‘em). Toemorroe aut to be a reel hoot, eh? Letz gib dem rite-wingers a reel goin over!
P.S. We outnumber you leftists and we will prevail. You and your propaganda will only serve to strengthen our cause, our resolve to defeat you, and recruit new members to our movement. The day of the radical is over. Long live freedom and prosperity!
I firmly believe that any of the n-word slurs (if there actually were any) directed against the democrat provocateurs after the passing of the HC bill were from dirty tricksters on the other side. We can expect more of that. They know that is the only card they can play now, and the MSM will run with it.
“Apparently, the tea parties are beginning to worry the left. Having failed to convince people the tea parties are extreme, racist, and violent, they’ve decided to take matters into their own hands.”
It’s interesting that the biggest supporters of the liberal left are unions. I think it’s interesting because the liberal left uses the same tactics as the union thugs who try and destroy whatever they can’t have and crush whoever stands in their way. SEIU and that hermaphroditic weasel Andy Stern are experts at this, as was obvious when SEIU thugs beat up a black Tea Party protester last year. What scum these union leaders are and it just shows why the popularity of unions today is at its lowest levels.
So now we have the liberal left trying to use these same tactics against Tea Party protesters. Well gang, don’t let them get away with it. Stand, make your voice heard and don’t let these bums intimidate you. As Americans, we’ve faced a lot worse than the rats who run SEIU. We’ve faced foreign armies, we’ve faced natural disasters, and we’ve even fought a civil war, yet we’re still here.
And if they keep pushing you, keep calling you names, keep ignoring you, keep calling you “irrelevant,” and keep trying to marginalize you, remember that you are fighting the good fight. Not only does this movement face tough challenges, but it requires you, yes you, to stand for something bigger than yourself. I know it sounds corny, but you can do it, trust me. I’ve seen what Americans are capable of and the average Tea Party member has what it takes to succeed. This is work men like Washington, Jefferson, and both Sam and John Adams would be proud of. Don’t let them down because of some childish taunts coming from the liberal left. We have a country to save, so let’s get to work.
Hear, hear.
BEAUTIFULLY SAID Liberty Ship!!!
(and yes, that one deserved caps.)
Yes, it has been clear for quite some time that “subversive elements” are trying to discredit, marginalize, and attempt to portray as fringe: Tea Party.
Keeping in mind that the best way to sell “a million books” is to get eg: president, pope, big leader: to ban it!
The Tea Party, New freedom Party, or whatever must define a set of principles and constitutional amendments that define it.
Constitutional amendments outline:
1) If you are on the “government dole”; you can not vote until one full election cycle after you are off the dole.
2) Islime is primarily a hostile subversive political movement whose Mosques should be viewed as terrorist recruitment centers and traitorous entities; and should be closed. No burqa or similar female garment should be legal since it should be presumed that women are forced to wear them and say they like it under threat of death: honor killing.
3) No war is legal, and no American can be forced to go or remain in an battle zone, unless the war strategy is “unmercifully crush all areas accommodating the enemy until unconditional surrender”; any political correctness, leniency, or less than crushing assault by the leaders in executing a war should be a criminal offence and any recognized group should be able to go to court to guarantee we are not reading rights to terrorists on the battle field.
4) No prisoner of war, or enemy combatant, has any constitutional rights.
5) The federal government can only be funded by a progressive national sales tax; withholding tax is from now on unconstitutional. The higher the luxury, the higher the tax. Grocery store purchased meat, fruit, vegetables, prescription drugs et al exempt.
6) No former member (or spouse) of the executive or legislative branch may ever represent a foreign government directly or indirectly.
7) Until 2060 or 50 years, no former employees/owners of: banks, weapons manufacturer, Wall Street, drug companies may run for congress or president.
8) Having lost the war on drugs, it is now perceived as the lesser of evils to tax and effectively regulate drugs in order to break the underground drug world that threatens national security not just from drugs but by the existing drug network that is exploited by terrorists.
9) Having won the war on racism; affirmative action in any form is illegal.
10) Freedom of speech is to be protected.
11) The right of adult non –felons (violent misdemeanors excluded) to own guns is absolute.
12) The federal government can not enforce by any means unfunded mandates on the states, and any provision of law that attempts to create or cause to exist an unfunded mandate is not enforceable.
13) The USA is to use all natural resources to become energy independent. No oil from the mid-east can be imported after 2018. No environmental tax can be added to energy cost; coal is to be used and the EPA can not regulate coal beyond 2005 standards.
14) The states have the final say on which of their states’ natural resources can be developed, no federal designation of any kind can prevent a state from exploiting its natural resources as it sees fit.
15) Journalist appearing on TV/cable “news” must be licensed and certified in the fields they cover. Mis-representing the facts is a lose your license offence which effectively means “the hook”!
16) The Supreme Court must investigate (and make completely public all findings) persons running for president to certify their eligibility. Two no votes out of nine is enough to disqualify; any doubt, the answer is no. If they are wrong impeach them.
How many threads are you going to spam with this worthless drivel?
See the other thread on the same subject to see my debunking of this post.
You may think it is “worthless drivel” but at the rate the leftists/liberals/progressives/Marxists/Maoists/Corruptocrats are pushing it I would not be a bit surprised to see many of these items enacted.
Why?
Because this is now a fight to the death and the leftists/liberals/progressives/Marxists/Maoists/Corruptocrats are outnumbered. What is more their actions, words and deeds are creating a volcanic resentment against them, one that they are obviously happy (and foolishly)to continue to stoke. When “We The People” finally reach the “Popeye point” with the lot of them (and that time is coming very soon) the hand of the giant that they have awakened will reach out and squash the leftists/liberals/progressives/Marxists/Maoists/Corruptocrats like the cockroach infestation they are and then will take steps to ensure that the infestation never comes back.
The leftists/liberals/progressives/Marxists/Maoists/Corruptocrats who can read the handwriting on the wall are already bailing out, those who are deluded are conducting a “scorched earth” policy in a last ditch attempt to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. In the end all of them will end up on the ash heap of history along with all their Marxist/Fascist/Totalitarian “heroes”.
Many, perhaps even most of these ideas are worse than what Obama is currently pushing.
Please explain yourself sir.
I already did, in the other thread.
yep, picture, name..who are their associates, where do the work?> etc.. plaster them everywhere!!!!
we know Levin is a “school teacher” in Oregon.
He doesn’t like the job or the kids..typical.
People need to call this man out.
.. why get upset..well, he’s being dishonest.
he is pretending and encouraging others to be dishonest about what they are doing. is this what he teaches his middle school students?
A school teacher promoting dishonesty..it would be sad if not so pathetic.
I agree with MarkTheGreat on the drivel comment. But I was just wondering if #8 would be designated in the Amendments with a smiley face. : )
Bruce you are just another moonbat TROLL just a bit less obvious than NORMAL GUY
Excellent idea, and good point about getting faces captured also, since you’ll probably find the same people in in different places. It will be *very* interesting to see if the media include faces when they publish photos of these people. If they don’t, it will be pretty good evidence that they’re wise to the game, not that we didn’t already know that.
Nothing fake about the left’s racism.
Turn the tables not just by taking pictures but by confronting them directly. Ask their name. Tell them to get lost. Catch the entire interaction on video.
I agree that taking pix of signs and even of faces is nowhere near sufficient; the MSM themselves will be doing this. It is necessary to confront and expose, which, unfortunately, is hard for many people to do.
Right, that’s why we want to run the pix in a context where we say up front “this kind of nonsense is not acceptable”. Make it sort of a one-stop renunciation.
Just so its clear, take a picture of the sign AND the face. Its the association with racism that true racists and the fake racists should give them pause.
Early 20th century: Management and government goons attempt to stop workers from organizing.
Early 21st century: Government and labor union goons attempt to stop citizens from organizing.
Would it be legal to make signs of the crashtheparty manifesto and surround the crashers with them as soon as they’re identified?
They’ve made the banner public, yes? Using their own words against them to ensure that any media photos of the offensive signs would also include photos of the group manifesto seems to me to be an effective way to keep the discussion civil. No need to confront anyone.
I would have the following counter sign:
“This message brought to you by crashtheteaparty.org,” with red arrows pointing to the offending sign. That way people know it’s not just us saying it’s an infiltrator, but they can judge these jerks by their own boasts.
And, yeah… getting pictures of their faces in order to forever associate them with the label of racist is a great idea. Let’s add the names, too, just so their smears can be complete…
Also, make sure there’s always a wide space between them and the legitimate attendees, so TV “journalists” will have a harder time linking the ‘turfers with the real partiers.
Vinny Vidivici at 9,
Excellent observation.
I will be attending a TEA party at noon in Concord NH. I am bringing my camera to film infiltrators. I attended two parties last year. They were peaceful and after the event ended, we picked up our trash without being told. Lots of parents brought their children. Awareness of our Constitution and our founders genius is being reborn. This will be a collateral benefit of the Obama interregnum.
For the union thugs who support Obama and the far-left’s ideology, the rest of us are nothing but “scabs”.
Isn’t a scab something that covers a wound, so that it can heal?
A scab is the bodies first line of defense when it is injured.
“Mark” or “Rando” or “Eric”- please go back to Pundit Kitchen where you belong !
Who pee’d in your cheerios union boy?
A good defense will be required as is stated in your article. Get photos and video of the faces and words of those attempting to discredit and slander the tea party protesters. When there is enough hard evidence, the mainstream media will be shamed into reporting the truth. If that is not effective, the next step is to call a boycott of any media that insists on lying to the people of this country: a full-fledged boycott of the media outlets along with their advertisers.
this nothing new for the left/progressive/marxists. it is in their play book.
they have been using these Alinsky and marxist tactics since the 60′s.
In Canada they went through this as NDP party members and especially in Toronto civic elections ..the same players are now on the national scene in federal politics.
they never let up and chip away at the fabric of society. they promote as does Obama the victim mentality (victims always vote for marxists)
Photos and videos of those who are fighting our rights as citizens to peacefule protest. THEN, if the mdia continues to fail to report the truth and contiues the lies that slander the citizen protesters, a full-fledged BOYCOTT of any and all advertisers who advertise during the news hours with these networks. Difficult, but potentially very effective.
No, that is too confrontational and could escalate (never give an order you can’t enforce). Instead, have your own sign ready that says something like: “Liberal Plant” or “Fake Tea-Partying Liberal” with an arrow. Then you and a few of your friends with the same type of signs surround the plant and shout things like “Dead meme walking” or “Liberal Party Pooper” or “The face of Liberalism”. Don’t confront, just isolate and embarrass. If you see a plant talking to a reporter, stand as close as possible behind and flash the signs.
Exactly. Though I’d have a sign saying:
“This message brought to you by crasththeteaparty.org.” (Along with red arrows pointing toward teh offending sign.)
After all, let’s give credit where it’s due.
The left — including the Obama administration — is utterly and completely delusional. They evidently are laboring under the belief that if they can generate proof that the tea party is racist, this proof will negate the tea party’s votes this November.
These fools at “Crash the Tea Party” — in addition to their basic ignorance of the fact that the Tea Party’s votes WILL count, no matter how many of their infiltrators with racist signs show up — is also foolishly ignoring the fact that their effort is proof that the tea party people are NOT racist — otherwise this ridiculous effort would be unnecessary.
They are also stunningly ignorant — along with the main stream media — of the fact that efforts like this only further outrage and motivate the tea party people.
This whole thing will backfire — it will only show again the intellectual bankruptcy and thuggish nature of the left.
Last year there were similar threats, so in discussions it was decided to have monitors with signs saying INFLITRATOR with an arrow pointing down and that our sign would be held behind and above the person who is being uncivil. I have asked our people to be civil to anyone who is at our parties and acting properly even if they are wearing the oppositions garb or carrying anti signs, but to use the INFILTRATOR sign and video that situation when they are not acting properly. We are also having one of our parties on private land, so we can escort them off if necessary.
Simply taking still pictures of videos of the offending signs is not enough. If PJM/PJTV merely posts pitcures of offensive signs, then the MSM and lefties will point to such pictures as proof of the tired meme that tea partiers are racist. All you’ve done is create a one-stop proof shop.
The infilitrators need to be surrounded with signs giving them full credit for their “genius” evil scheme. Something like:
“This message presented by CrashTheTeaParty.org.” With red arrows pointing to the offending sign.
Or “Brought to you by the racists at CrashTheTeaParty.org.”
They’ve worked so hard! Don’t they deserve the credit?
I really like the “inflitrator” signs, as several people have suggested. And I apparently wasn’t clear enough on one other point: we do want to be able to connect the sign bearers with people whenever possible. Get pictures of their faces, get pictures of the groups they’re with, get their names if you can. (Odds on they’ll give false names, but what the hell.) Get pictures of them surrounded with “infiltrator” and “Brought to you by CrashTheTeaParty.org” and similar signs.
We won’t publish anything more defining than name and town, so don’t go to a lot of trouble getting addresses. We want to shame them by associating them with their offensive signs, not harass them at home.
If someone shouts racist slurs, surround them with people telling they’re unwelcome, that they have no place in the Tea Party movement — and get video.
IF someone gets belligerent, usually the best defense is to smile and look into the distance past them. Google “Alex Jones is a consummate ass” for video of me defending Michelle Malkin from Alex Jones (who is, by the way, a consummate ass) using this method. (Look for the Darth Vader tee shirt.)
Report any assaults (remember assault includes physical threats) to the police at the event. Get video of the reports if you can; if not, get the name and badge number of the officer to whom you report.
Remember that the best way to thwart an agent provocateur is not to be provoked.
One of Rush’s callers made a good suggestion today:
Remember that the MSM cameras will usually follow the infiltrators in order to get good copy, ignoring the non-story of the rest of the rally. This may even be done deliberately. If you see the news cameras following an obvious crasher, follow them and be sure to get yourself, and your sign, in the video.
Tailing the reporters could be useful. Document the number of normal, sane people they walk past on their way to the crashers.
My comment #16 was a repeat of #14. I didn’t think it went through. Sorry!
In these cases of harmful acts, it seems to me the wisest defensive strategy would be for nearby Tea Party patriots to quickly engage any offender in a stern on-camera lecture about civility and Tea Party principles of non-violence and principled civility.
Even if it’s one of your own, a library of such tapes would be great for the kind of image we must strengthen and maintain. And the prospect of being subject to such a recorded lesson in civility would quickly become a deterrant to such behavior and a great teaching tool for our partiots. It would also be an effective PR tool to use with media, both friend and foe.
Opponents who tried to set you up wouldn’t dare use the whole recording of the incident. And if they only used part of it, we could use the whole thing, recorded by friends, to discredit their claims as well as any dishonest tactics of planted slurs.
In fact, this technique would be a smart response to slurs or image-damaging behavior by ANYBODY on either side of the issue. It wouldn’t take long for the word to get around that plants were more damaging than useful … and we might even win grudging respect from hostile media folks. And they would soon become wary of using selected edits against us.
Illegitimis non carborundum,
Hear hear.
How about surrounding them with a circle of people pointing at them and chanting “Shame! Shame!” while another teapartier hands out a flyer explaining who crashtheteaparty is?
Get the photograph of the person with the sign.
Identify that person.
Send the photo to that person’s employer.
And hilarity ensues…
In addition to the pictures of offending signs and infiltrators, perhaps we could also have means to fill in their names along with their pictures. Everyone is known by someone.
This is a sign that the Tea Party movement is working.
we should ask questions of anybody and everybody we stand next to
Social networking is always a good idea at such events. You might be able to meet someone who can help with the next event.
It also helps to expose those who are not there to help.
Confronting the protesters will only lead to violence.
Photograph them, get their names, “where do they work”,(someone mentioned this previously, good idea) Who are they????? everyone is known by someone out there.
Jason Levin put the crash the tea party thing together. He is a middle school technology teacher, I don’t know the school. Who are his friends, associates? Why would a school district allow someone like this in their system?..oh it’s the US, I forgot for a moment..
This is solid Alinsky Obama will be proud!!

Jason Levin twitter ( crash the tea party) supposedly his address.
Get a name, get a face.
Spokeo.com can do the rest.
Be careful with spokeo. I ran my own name and there were many errors.
jason levin is my media lab at conestoga middle school. He isnt fired, but all parents got a phone call about this. He is not my teacher but he is refered to as the “cool” teacher, so noone told on him when he flipped the noisy class off.
Well, obviously, we can begin with Jason Levin, who’s photo can be seen here: http://pajamasmedia.com/files/2010/04/Jason_Levin_4-12-10.jpg.
In my opinion, this photo should be sent to EVERY SINGLE Tea Party organizer, who needs to blow it up and keep it on display for people to know who to watch out for.
What Mr. Levin didn’t realize, though, is that he has established a means for the Tea Party to disavow any and all questionable content, by shoveling into his lap.
This is yet another perfect example of Leftist ideology’s inability to compete in the arean of ideas – when one has to sabotage another to make themselves look better via creating false flags, spreading disinformation, and slandering people, it tells us everything we need to know about what and who they are.
As someone with event security management, I would like to propose my idea for keeping this under control:
Firstly, spread the word far and wide – nobody will keep an eye out for shenanigans if they don’t have a reason to suspect it – those who read websites such as this are aware of the desire to sabotage Tea Parties, but the odds are good that most attendees will not. On this note, it is important that the media is made well aware of the situation, providing the (slight) chance that they might show a little backbone and morality by contributing to outing the saboteurs; on that note, if the media is made aware of the situation, they cannot disavow it later.
Secondly, attendees and media need to know WHO and WHAT to look out for: They have described the tactics they wish to employ – their false flags will serve as our red flags. Mr. Levin has gladly provided us with his “mug shot” for distribution to all of the Tea Party orgnaizers, who need to blow up his photo and prominently display it at Tea Party events for public consumption. We need to enact similar measures for anyone else who implies their intent in taking place in the “Crash the Tea Party” shenanigans; these types of people tend to be fairly active in online social networking and blogging, and take joy in gloating about themselves and massaging their own egos by providing links to their own biographical websites and online portfolios, making it much easier to find names, places and photos. It would be of great benefit if people within the Tea Party who have an aptitude for utilzing the net for digging up data could voluteer some time to catalog potential troublemakers. This info can then be properly filtered and distributed to Tea Party organizers based upon their proximity to the troublemakers’ current place of residence.
Finally, during the day of the event, the collected data of potential Crashers(names and faces) needs to be distributed and/or posted for easy viewing. At least one person (but preferably an inconspicuous but vigilant group) needs to take on the responsibility of putting their focus toward keeping an eye out for agent provocateurs. The next step would be to RECORD EVERYTHING for legal and personal use; make sure to get a detailed picture of the suspected troublemaker BEFORE confrontation (this will also help inuse at future events). Before confrontation, it would be wise to contact a police officer for support in handling the individual or group – their presence will increase the odds that the Crasher does not lash out against you when you confront them, and you also get the police on you side before a confrontation ever takes place.
As far as I am concerned, these people have set themselves up for prosecution for explicitly declaring their desires to incite violence and hatred…maybe police can be convinced of this, as well
Photographs of infiltrators, their signs and all non-violent (or even confrontatory) efforts to identify, isolate and marginalize them are excellent procedures to prepare for. Once such persons know “the jig is up” they will probably drop the pretense, and leave the tea-party site. When that happens, someone should follow that person and photograph them getting into their vehicle and GET THE LICENSE NUMBER. If the infiltrator should attempt something (God forbid) violent, the information collected should be turned over to the police.
What Mr. Levin didn’t realize is that he has established a means for the Tea Party to disavow any and all questionable content, by shoveling into his lap – the Tea Party is no longer responsible for ackowledging such behaviour

As far as I am concerned, these people have set themselves up for prosecution for explicitly declaring their desires to incite violence and hatred…maybe police can be convinced of this, as well
I am working on three signs, which will read: LEFT-WING INFILTRATOR (arrow pointing left) LEFT-WING INFILTRATOR (arrow pointing right), and LEFT-WING INFILTRATOR (arrow pointing down). When I see a racist, homophobic or violence-advocating sign,I plan to stand beside the offender (or behind)and display my sign so close to him/her that it will be very difficult for our ***-**** media to get a shot of one without the other.
They’re not going to do anything come Thursday. Why? Because Leftists are cowards, only brave enough to act under cover of darkness or when they know they have an advantage in numbers. Something like this is simply too risky and fraught with the potential to backfire….especially since the US news media isn’t able to steer narratives for them any more because too many people have their own cameras now.
What everyone should really be on the look out for is staged video and photos. Get 10 people together at a Tea Party protest site before the event and it would be easy to create a fake scene.
If you’re affiliated with your local Tea Party group, it would probably be a good idea to have someone camped out at the site – with a videocam – this afternoon and tomorrow leading up to the event…just in case.
Of course, if they’re leftists flying under a false racist flag, they will also have their faces and signs published.
Really? Where? Here? Big deal. Where outside of ideological conclaves do you think you can publish, and who could possibly care the least bit other than fellow idealogues? This doesn’t do anything other than rouse the rabble and inflame conspiracy talk. (“See, here’s a picture of one. They’re out to get us.” Cue round 5 of christian persecution complex.)
If on the other hand you’re after something effective, then it sounds to me like what you’re doing is full-on brownshirt territory where what you’re suggesting is to take pictures and then… what, go the slander route and take out ads against their place of work? Take the libel route and hassle their employers? Or… well, what, precisely?
We have nothing in mind here except that if racist, sexist, or offensive signs appear at a Tea Party demonstration, the people holding those signs should be recorded and their offensive behavior denounced and disavowed. I won’t be publishing enough information to let them be easily tracked down. Should one of these signs show up in other sources, we’ll get the word out that we have also denounced them actively — and should someone be identified as an infiltrator, we’ll make sure the major media get the word.
Nor, for that matter, do they have to be infiltrators — if someone actually shows up with racism in their hearts as well as on their signs, we’ll document them too.
It’s simple enough: if you don’t want to be identified and shamed for your bad behavior, don’t behave badly at a tea party event.
I won’t be publishing enough information to let them be easily tracked down.
This answers the concern re straying into libel and slander territory, but I’m still unclear where stuff like this could be published that’s meaningful. For that matter I’m also unclear regarding meaningful — as in, for whom. It seems that merely gathering photos isn’t of much use unless there’s a consequence in mind, and one wonders what these consequences are.
Publishing the photo a suspected left winger on a right wing web site seems not only ineffective, but also raises problems. I dislike invoking the brownshirt image, but do you really think if *I* could see this that your polical enemies on the left will fail to do so? The left *already* claims the right trades on fear. Why give them proof?
If there is no reaction at all from tea party members to these infiltrators, that lack of reaction will be touted by the media and the Democrats as proof that the tea party accepts, tolerates and even welcomes racists. Is that what you want? Perhaps it is.

I wouldn’t, haven’t, and didn’t suggest doing nothing. There’s a spectrum of viable reactions. Pictures to “expose” isn’t a good thing to do.
Once at a “gentlemen’s” club in these parts there was a group of zealots with digital cameras who were taking pictures of patrons as they left the building; the thought being that they would shame these men in front of their wives and co-workers as being perverts. Put the pictures in the papers with ads. I’m not sure what happened but I’d heard that the police put a stop to it.
Taking pictures to expose in this case isn’t that far removed. As far as I know camera technology doesn’t give one the right to “expose” anyone even if they’re in public. I work at public events and get photographed; any time the photographer — whether local or national magazine — thinks a picture will be published s/he will always ask for the permission to be signed. Has anyone here really looked at the law?
Insofar as my objections here are concerned what I have in my mind is the zealots hanging at the gentlemen’s club.
agent-provocateur much?
Well, define “meaningful”. As pointed out elsewhere, if racist signs aren’t denounced, that’s a negative; now you’re suggesting that pictures of the signs with explicit condemnation is also bad.
The obvious conclusion is that lefties will find a way to accuse the Tea Parties of Evil either way, so we might as well do what’s right, and condemn racist and offensive signs because it’s morally right to condemn them.
Similarly, truth is an absolute defense in cases of libel. If we have a picture of someone with a sign that says something offensive, and say nothing more than this picture was taken at such and such a location, the defense is pretty well automatic. If we suggest they are Mobies, and they want to pose as a defense that they really and truly do believe the hateful thing on the sign — well, I think we’ll cross that bridge if anyone is stupid enough to put it in front of us.
And as far as publishing it elsewhere, well, PJ has circulation comparable to the NY Times and the Washington Post; simply publishing it here is something. If no one else picks it up, we’ve at least done the moral thing.

I’m not advocating doing NOTHING; I’m saying pictures aren’t the correct answer. There’s a vast gulf between doing nothing and channeling Himmler. Plus, I think you’re making the task harder than it really is.
If it were me I’d create a small team assigned at each protest to looking out for the nutjobs and have team members point the local news media directly there. Help the media. Point out obvious exceptions as being… obvious exceptions. Exceptions prove the rule. Confrontation isn’t needed, denouncement isn’t needed, and documenting after the fact isn’t needed. The media is already there. Use them. Help them.
In addition, pointing out the nutjobs to the media says you’re responsible and self policing.

GL, just for future reference, given the number of us at PJ who are Jewish, you might want to very carefully consider whether comparisons to Nazis are in the best interest of a mutually useful conversation.

Here, I think you’re making an assumption we don’t share. We already have substantial experience with the media coverage of the Tea Parties; the wildest outliers get reported as the norm, and as we saw with the DC demonstrations, failing a good example of a really repugnant outlier, the legacy media isn’t above making things up.
In any case, what you’re suggesting is operationally identical with what has been done in the past. What happens? The repugnant signs are reported, and echoed, and the repudiations never catch up. So, with this method, we can make it clear that the crowds are being policed at the time.
If you have another suggestion that isn’t what we already know not to work, I’d be happy to hear it.
Ever heard of FOX? I’m sure you have…you Lefties are haunted by it.
Actually, the brownshirts were known for staging events to publicly demonize their opponents…kind of like your Lefty CTTP comrades are threatening to do.
Just more evidence that all statists are essentially cut from the same cloth, eh?
rvastar — Ever heard of FOX? I’m sure you have… you Lefties are haunted by it.
So, do you A) personally know a few FOX producers who are promising to run pictures and such (a la Most Wanted) or are you B) posturing, hoping to elevate your status within the ideological herd?
Use your crayon to circle A or B.
Actually, GL, he may not, but I know some Fox producers; I’ve even appeared on Fox. Notice that Fox is already linking Bob Owens’ piece.
It would be surprising if you *didn’t* have media contacts.
I’d be surprised if FOX ran pictures of suspected leftists. It’s one thing to pan a camera across a crowd to document an event; it’s something else to single out specific individuals using still shots with the understood intent to shame them.
See my response above to Mr. Smith re zealots and gentlemen’s clubs.
Observe G.L. Alston’s tacit admission that those who believe as he does have the major media outlets all sewn up. So much for the ‘narrative’ that bias in the major media is just more ‘right wing’ conspiracy theorizing.
The other technique is for one of us to infiltrate THEM. It’d have to be done carefully. You don’t want to expose their detailed plans the first time you go out. Don’t expose their detailed plans every time. And so forth.
Infiltrating them is a blast. While at Purdue in the 70s there was a group calling themselves The Purdue Peace Union. They would hold their rallies on the mall and we engineering students would mix into the crowd. When they voted for alternatives for upcoming demonstrations we would raise our hands for the most ridiculous choice.
The thing I noticed recently is that “they” (the impostors among us normal, regular American folks) aren’t even brave enough to show their faces. The picture of the SEIU thug at the Nevada Rally in Harry Reid’s backyard – the one who threw eggs at the bus that had Brietbart in it – he was masked. Just like the enemies we fight in a far off dessert land -cowards cover their faces. Real Americans don’t hide behind masks.
Why not simply have a password that is know to all true and dedicated members of your particular Tea Party group? Also kind of screen all attendees prior to entering the grounds where the event will take place!
Public venue, access is free to all.
Why do they need this web site they have SEIO/Acorn?
Could they be trying to tweak and intemidate the tea partys? Hmmm,
Also why would there have been a story printed about this website?
We all know the Media is in the bag for or is intemidated by this WHouse!
Just remember their “Bible” is Saul Alynski Rules for radicals.
Forget this ploy, Go to the Tea Party with cameras in tow, Have the radicals arrested for insightig a riot, Just KNOW WHO YOU ARE STANDING WITH!!!!
Infiltrating those that demonstrate for their cause is squarely against what is…fundamental to any democracy. Those that try to disrupt/deny or malign what those brave demonstrators are protesting for or against should be arrested, charged and sent to court. It is just plain wrong to do things like that. I remember when local police/state and federal forces marched within the ranks of the anti-war movements (many years ago and more recently) and what really shocked me is that the infiltrators actually “appeared” to be some of the most dedicated participants. Until you saw them in court, “in uniform” you would never would have believed it. By the way, if its outside, passwords and most other forms of “control” usually do not work. Good Luck to the protesters.
Thank you, PC.
I dno’t agree that they ought to be arrested merely for peacefully having offensive signs, even if they are trying to be a false-flag operation.
But anyone with racist or offensive signs, or saying racial epithets or otherwise trying to disrupt the protests, should be identified and shamed.
The left (MSM, Democrats, and other assorted thugs) is desperate to prove the false allegations made by Cleaver, Carson, Lewis, and others; that the tea party movement is racist. The race card is the last card in their tattered deck and they HAVE to see it played successfully. If they can provoke an incident–even if it is later proven to be a false one–then all of the accusations for the last year are true.
Video cameras and refusal to be part of the restaurateur’s plan are the best way to respond. They have no shame, otherwise they would not be provocateurs for the unethical left.
Excellent advice.
But you forgot one….
DO record the useless MSM recording you, whenever possible.

[For a light hearted take on our present peril]
“…Would it be legal to make signs of the crashtheparty manifesto and surround the crashers with them as soon as they’re identified?…”
I would make flyers of the CTTP manifesto and URL explaining what it is, and that anyone with a racist sign is from CTTP. (If there are people there with racist signs who AREN’T from CTTP, treat them like they are anyway.) Any time you see someone like that, hand out the flyers to anyone standing around watching so they know what they are looking at. Especially give the flyers to the media. This is actually an entertaining story, so we can get the media to write about these inflitrators. Then the general public knows there is a group trying to do this, so they will not automatically assume a racist sign comes from a teaparty person.
Excellent thought, thanks. I like the “shame, shame” idea too.
Please, anyone with non-violent, non-confrontational and ideally funny ideas, add them here in the comments.
One group is planning a protest, and opposing groups are planning counter-protests. “Off with their heads!” is it? (Or is that the wrong tea party?)
This is just the American way — deal with it.
And we are. If that means a few counter-demonstrators get outed as racists, that’s not our problem.
See, BC, that’s the point here. I don’t care who has the racist or offensive signs or shouts abusive things: I’m saying, do it, and it’ll be denounced.
However, it now appears that the “crash the tea party” groups are being organized by the Democratic Party in at least one state.
If the counter-demonstrators don’t want to be identified as holding racist etc signs, there is nothing easier than avoiding it: don’t show up with offensive signs.
I can remember from my days in The Movement (as it liked to be called)there was always worry about the FBI sending agents provacoteurs into the ranks of a demonstration to sow seeds of violence and destruction. Our leaders were aghast at the idea of anyone doing that. Of course, then Bill Ayers and the Weathermen came along and the point was moot. You remember Bill, don’t you? Just another guy in the neighborhood.
It appears from the 28 pics published by the Boston Globe that the crowd looks pretty much like the crowd at a Rolling Stones concert or a Garrison Keillor recital. The poor fool Josh Levin appears to have flopped big-time.
Make these goons, thugs, and imbeciles notorious for their devious and detestable deeds: Find out where they work and write a letter to their boss.
For instance: I wonder if that teacher (Jason Levin) in the Beaverton (OR) School District that promoted the http://www.crashtheteaparty.org site and planned to infiltrate the Tea Party to defame and intimidate them has looked at the Student Policy regarding cyber-bullying? What would a Personnel Committee have to say about his actions if he were a student?
Seems like his actions clearly constitute a violation of that policy. Policies for thee (dumb child) but not for me?!
‘One group is planning a protest, and opposing groups are planning counter-protests.’
There you go again. What is being proposed by this Levin character, BC, is not a counter protest. Please look up or, if that’s beyond your ability, find someone to explain the difference between agents provocateurs and counter protesters.
One of two things can be inferred from your asinine statement.
The more probable, knowing your comment history here, is that the substance, intent, and detail of the post blew right over your head. You didn’t read it, or more likely couldn’t grasp what was said, and instead cast it in the defensive spin the intellectual frauds like yourself were spoon fed somewhere.
Less probable, as it presupposes you did grasp the post, is that you have no response other than the classic strawman fallacy sequence. You present the old standby, a distorted version of the subject under discussion (the aforementioned asinine statement), then attack your version (‘“Off with their heads!” is it?’). And finally arrive at the obvious conclusion – obvious to the intellectual fraud anyway. That is since the original position (actually your strawman) is flawed, therefore those holding it in error and subject to your correction (“This is just the American way — deal with it.”).
You are in way over your head here, BC.
Comment #47 should have been in reply to comment #43
Hooray! The communist said they could take over America without firing a shot, and now that Obama is in office, their wish has come true!
