The IRS, currently facing accusations of illegally disclosing tax information of perceived political opponents for partisan gain, has hired a man already convicted of abusing sensitive government data.

Tea Party groups and other conservative organizations targeted by the IRS during the Obama administration continue to raise the issue of the weaponization of the agency. These groups will undoubtedly have even more questions: they landed in the IRS crosshairs just as Weiss Russell/Rasool was allowed to become a trusted employee.

Phone messages left yesterday and today with the IRS Media Relations Office have not yet been returned. This story will be updated if they do provide comment.

How do you go from police officer to a "financial analyst" at the IRS??? Conviction aside, even if the guy was squeaky clean - what the hell???? Are you telling me that a guy like me with NO financial background at all, other than trying to keep my head above water, can get a "financial management analyst" job at the IRS? There are serious, serious issues here folks....

It only gets worse, because it only can get worse, as any informed and honest assessment of Obama and his intentions would tell you. Obama has intentions. But Republicans not only have no idea how to deal with the discrete reality of these issues one at a time, they have no apprehension of the larger picture and of the intentions -- the big picture, the total trajectory of Obama. You would think at a certain point critical mass would be reached, when even the densest or most unwilling observer would be impelled to issue a sweeping indictment of Obama and his intentions. But it just never happens. Not even Cruz or Paul seems to be able to do it. Palin has hinted at it. But what we need is a major speech by a major figure that coheres all this together and calls out Obama and the Left. The elements and intimations of a narrative are out there in the culture -- we need to bring them together to form a new Narrative of the comprehensive and intentional destructiveness of Obama.

I worked for Revenue Canada for almost a decade and even when I occupied a very minor post, my holding that position was subject to an RCMP clearance which boiled down to me not having a criminal record. I would think the same would be true for Mr. Rasool at the IRS. So the real questions are:

1) Was an FBI clearance even requested for Mr. Rasool? If no, why wasn't it?
2) If a clearance was requested, how did the FBI respond?
3) Was the decision to hire Mr. Rasool proper based on any FBI response?

"In 2008.........Abdullah Alnoshan, a close associate of al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki and a friend of Russell’s from their mosque."
I was just wondering, where did this information come from ? Was that published somewhere else ? How did anyone know that Awlaki and Alnoshan were associates, other than this story ?

FBI surveillance docs obtained by Judicial Watch FOIA last year show repeated visits by Awlaki to Alnoshan's MWL office.

Does anyone else believe that Barack Hussein Obama has been part of an inside terror attack for the past six years? He seems to be using every agency to attack the country from within. He's placing terrorists throughout the govt. Several in DHS, I hear the Pentagon, and now the IRS, where they have the private information of millions of Americans.

And John Roberts gave them some ammunition, didn't he? Why isn't anyone stopping him? This is supposed to be a super power, but they aren't even stopping someone who's obviously an enemy on the inside? Are there any people in Washington who are good, who will stop him?

I was employed by IRS from 1971 through 1975; and then again from 1983 until I retired in 2011. I've gone through two background checks. I find this an utter outrage. The sensitivity of the information available to employees of this agency demands the highest standards of ethics and protection of privacy. Along with the Lois Lerner debacle, this ought to be blasted to the public by all the mainstream media. But I would never have known about it if it hadn't been for PJ Media.

This is without question the most corrupt administration ever (and I began working during the Nixon administration - we owe Tricky Dick an apology). When I think of all the annual briefings I was required to attend to remind me to protect taxpayer data and preserve the integrity of the agency, this makes me want to vomit. I'm so glad to be gone. But there also needs to be a select committee or special prosecutor appointed to clean up this governmental defecation.

I'm sure any concerns were likely allayed by Eric Holder's affirmation of competence and trustworthiness. There's nothing to see. Not even a smidgeon of corruption.

It's obvious the government isn't serious about "threats" to our security. So why the hell should we? See something, say something. Right. Why stand in long lines, have your stuff rifled through, and be groped every time you go to the airport? Why are we spending billions for all this electronic surveillance and then we let s**t like this slide? So what if he's some low level schmuck at IRS. So was Snowden. Think about the data this dirtbag can access. He's already proven he won't play by the rules in that regard. And then the government wonders why there's conspiracy theories out here.

Oh, I remember after 9/11, if you see something suspicious, report it. That didn't last did it. Had they listened to the FBI Agent in Minnesota with the big eyeglasses, 9/11 may not have happened. They blew her off in D.C.

Now they've managed to gain access to the White House, and everywhere else inside the govt. This is why they're harassing so many good Americans. It's a terrorist attack with Obama leading it.
