The dancing in the streets was typical of end-of-war celebrations, and I woke to the sick realization that the soft left now thinks the war is over. The worst part of it is that people — tired, in a depressed economy — want war to be over. The liberals will convince most of the “sleepers” that it’s over now and that we should pull out of the wars we’re currently engaged in. They will also convince a significant majority that the economic trouble we’re in was due to the war, and that now that Osama is dead, the rainbows and unicorns are in our future.
There are a vast number of people who’d like to believe that. Heck, I’d like to believe it too.
If this happens — and I very much fear it will — we will pursue the ruinous course of abandoning two countries abroad, one of which is well on its way to a semi-functioning democracy. We might also very well vote for four more years of ruinous policies at home.
Then we’ll pull our fluffy blanket over our befuddled fluffy heads and go back to sleep.
Meanwhile the Arab Spring will devolve into a Muslim winter. Fresh plots and plans will hatch, and we’ll be financing them with oil money because of our unwillingness to drill. And we’ll be losing resources and getting in deeper trouble here, and withdrawing more from the world. And the sleep will continue.
I’m astounded that millions upon millions of Americans actually believe that all the war, death, and misery we’ve endured because of, and since, 9/11 have had only one purpose: to get Osama. Do these dopes really think that revenge against one person justifies tens of thousands of deaths and hundreds of billions of dollars? That now he’s done with, we can call all the soldiers home and get back to whatever it is we’re supposed to get back to?
Obama may be an egotistical twerp, but his minions are beyond comprehension. Their selfishness is absolutely boggling.

Bottom line: no matter how many Al Queda mutts Obama “gets”, Obama is still a disaster for America. I prefer that Obama not be re-elected.
Perhaps, but according to certain reports, which are admittedly unsourced, the armed forces basically had to an end-run around Obama to get OBL taken out.

Oh, and so far, according to Rasmussen, the whole gain in the Presidential tracking poll has been one measly point.
Trust me, “He got Osama!” is not gonna be Obama’s campaign slogan next year.

The Internet is replete with information about the continuing wars and bloodletting in the Middle East between the two major Muslim sects, Sunni and Shiite, for GLOBAL caliphate status. We are being duped by our current unvetted President, Barack Hussein Obama who is using an old Shiite custom of Taqiyya (deceive your enemies to further your cause) . It is, well-documented that President Obama and his family are Shiite Muslims which make up 15% of the Middle Eastern Muslim population. Sunni Muslims make up 85%. Iranian President Amedinejad is a Shiite Muslim, and we see these two presidents friendship as portrayed by Obama’s silence and leniency with Amedinejad as he slaughtered Iranian students and now protestors in Pakistan (Sunnis). We find Obama leading the charge with our blood and money in the overthrow of all moderate Sunni Arab governments. One only needs to do the research.
Obama is supporting the “Rebels”, better known as the Shiite-dominated Muslim Brotherhood. Look at how he ushers in quick elections where only the Muslim Brotherhood can win using U. S. dollars. His escalation of our involvement in Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Tunisia and now Pakistan, which are all Sunni led governments, is in direct contrast to Obama pulling out of Iraq and ignoring Iran (both Shiite). Now the Israelis will be fully exposed to barbarian elements as never before, and Barack Hussein Obama will, with our help, destroy Israel. The execution-style killing of Osama Bin Laden (a radicalized Sunni) and family began the very clever Shiite dismantling of Pakistan. It was not about the U.S. murder of 3,000 civilians. The Obama administration has placed the Muslim Brotherhood on the payroll as advisors to the United States. Aren’t they the ones in the streets of Egypt who denounced the United States and Israel with statements such as, “Death to America. and death to Israel”? Obama is obviously a radicalized Shiite terrorist in the White House, as he meets and consults with Muslim Brotherhood radical Imam Shiites but will not meet with U.S. allies.
Obama further supports his Muslim brethren by keeping U.S. energy dependent on Muslim oil by shutting down our coal production, refusing to allow Gulf drilling by US companies, yet twice has financed Brazil’s Petrobras with our tax dollars (George Soros, Obama’s benefactor and owner of 14% of Petrobras, hates Israel ) for deeper water drilling than the Gulf and contracting Petrobras to drill in our own Gulf when disallowing the same of U.S companies. He is systematically destroying the U.S. through unnecessary spending while he lays the groundwork for a global Shiite caliphate . Obama makes Shiites appear less hostile calling them “Rebels” as the United States is forced fight on their side. The truth is that the Sunnis have been Israel’s protectors. Obama hates Israel as do all Shiites. His goal is to annihilate Israel and use United States’ money and blood to bring a global Shiite caliphate into being. Are we using our best and bravest resources along with all of our money to rendered us destitute (powerless) to build Obama’s Shiite Caliphate throughout the United States and the world? This may be the most clever terror plot devised to date? An inside job (in our pockets.)
The “fluffy headed left” is a perfect description. I have lots of lefty friends and aquaintences and it is stupifying to talk with them and realize that they just don’t think anything through very deeply.
But there is another distinction that Sarah Hoyt has nailed when she refers to the bulk of Americans as the “sleepers”. The soft left isn’t totally asleep, they just are easily led and oh so disinterested in anything that doesn’t directly affect them. The “sleepers” are that very large part of America you see answering questions on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” about “who is the Vice President” of the United States, and even with three guesses they can’t even get close. There is a reason why they used to restrict the sufferage of certain groups.

Unfortunately, conservatives have a “fact-proof screen” to deal with, as well. Ours prevents us from recognizing the unalterable enemy as such, and continuing to believe that he can be “persuaded” or “won over.” Left-liberals. Gaia-worshipping enviroweenies. Muslims.
Maybe we’ll learn eventually. But I won’t hold my breath while I wait.
We treated a symptom by killing Osama bin Laden, but we didn’t cure the disease of radical Islam. It is still there, worse than ever, and it’s still coming our way. Did killing bin Laden help? Sure it did. It certainly was a setback for the jihadists. But somebody will certainly take his place and the war will go on, and on, and on. This is a generational hatred that will probably last longer than the Cold War. So we need to keep after these animals until the Muslim World is convinced that it is a losing proposition to mess with the United States. And the only way to do that is to keep defeating the radical Islamists and to keep killing them. Then one day they may get the message.
There is no such thing as “radical Islam”.
There is only Islam (which means, “SUBJECTION”).
There are faithful Muslims. Some foolishly call them, “radical”.
There are not-very-faithful Muslims. Some foolishly call them, “moderate”.
Islam is the problem.
What worries me the most is that radical Muslims and kamikaze pilots share the exact same mind-set.

Missouri, the agreement that ended World War 2. there was a last suicidal plan to dive-bomb the ceremony, which was only halted at the last minute. (Can anyone imagine that fury and rage that would have been unleashed on Japan had the Missouri been sunk with all hands that day?)
I believe we need someone at the Presidential helm who is one hell of a lot tougher than our current occupant. IMHO, I would not trust him to be the police chief of a small town, much less the Commander-in-Chief.
It is always important to not give up reasonable hope. There is no way that the American people are going to re-elect Barack Obama in 2012. None. Even “sleepers” understand 10% unemployment,$4 gallons of milk and $6/gallon gas. They are dumb but not that stupid.

Donald Trump has been portraying Zero as a wuss, which he is. Zero was forced into shooting his only ace in the hole about a year and a half early, thanks to Trump. Every time you go put gas in the car, or buy food at the grocery store, you’ll be reminded of Zero’s hopey changey thing. That’s gonna be hard for the dims to overcome.

Reality check: GWH Bush was riding an all-time Presidential approval rating after we kicked butt in Iraq War 1…and then two years later he could not win a second term.

I suspect you’re right. What a bunch of retards. Most of them were too young to have any clear recollection of Osama, and certainly too young to know squat about military actions. It was just another excuse to drink and party and dope it up as usual, in honor of the first president in history who would look completely natural with a lampshade on his head, sucking on a bong. If they’re old enough to drink, that means they were at least 11 when the attacks happened. That’s plenty old enough to remember a traumatizing event, or even just something that was important. I was 12, and I remember it clear as day- the conflicting reports about planes hitting the WTC and Pentagon, the lockdown of the school, half the students being picked up early, the images of metal debris from the planes falling like ticker tape from the WTC, my utter shock that the buildings actually collapsed.
Did you look at the pictures? What makes you think they’re old enough to drink?

OBL’s death is irrelevant, past having some minor symbolic value. I am completely unmoved. In real terms, it’s meaningless.
The Muslim Brotherhood is far more dangerous right now and going forward than Al Qaeda ever has been or could be. Because they’ve learned that stealth Jihad is much more effective – gaining social, economic and political power in The West for muslims by ‘legitimate’ means. They’ll welcome future terrorist attacks from whatever groups, as it helps the cause along, but it won’t be their focus.

Since when dies the President have the right to issue an order to kill someone? He cannot even legally declare war without congress. NO But if a sharpshooter can hit a man’s eye he can certainly hit a larger target like a kneecap. OBL was an old man with serious health issues. He should be waiting trial, not shot and disposed of. Anyone, who thinks that the assassination of Osama bin Laden by a U S military team will bring an end to the hatred Islam has for us and the Western world, is dreaming. Would the assassination of President Roosevelt by the German nationals, who were put ashore from a German submarine in WWII days, have resulted in the United States withdrawal from commitment to England? Would the assassination of Winston Churchill have resulted in England sub-mitting to Germany in WWII? The answer to the two preceding questions is a reslounding NO. Osama bin Laden has been a minor player during the past five years as far as the threat of Islam is concerned. There are many in Hamas, Fatah, in Syria and in Iran who are more than willing to preside over the downfall of the United States! They will pick up bin Laden’s mantle but will be a greater threat than bin Laden ever was, because the United Sates has made a “fallen hero” of bin Laden, a rallying cry, a focal point for Islam’s hostility to the United States and the western world in general!

I can truly appreciate what everyone is saying. Personally, I think Sarah and many of you, are spot on. I’m not going to get caught up in the conservative vs. liberal name game. Sometimes, it is “sleepers” who are the most dangerous because they are the majority, we all fall prey to it at some point.
I credit our brave soldiers who fight in wars, not politicians. I’m glad, like Saddam, OBL is gone. Do I think we should forget 9/11? Never. I think we should think MORE about it now because OBL cronies could very well get even.

And the people are all caught up in the UBL getting taken out distraction. Makes no sense! Can we get back to trying to figure out how to fix our nation suffering from what could well become a terminal disease?
Securing America
A not quite new but timely and relevant website is rapidly gaining a following in an arena already blog-clogged with some 125 million entries, not counting China’s 75 million but including blogs on everything from reflections on parasites in cupcakes to scientific analyses of the effects of dandruff on sexual stimulation.
Separating the blog wheat from blog chaff crap is no simple endeavor but 9/11 FSA, 9/11 Families for a Secure America Foundation, (http://www.911fsafoundation.org/ ) is certainly worth a further look for anyone bored with parasites and dandruff and interested in insightly perspectives on such issues as the death of Osama bin Laden and on America’s illegal alien invasion.
Twenty-three year James Gadiel, the son of founder and president of 9/11 FSA, Peter Gadiel, worked on the 103rd floor of the WTC’s North Tower. Mr. Gadiel is one of many thousands who suffered the loss of a loved one on September 11th, 2001 and has been active ever since in the pursuit of justice for that fateful day and is primarily concerned with ensuring nothing like it ever happens again to our country.
Toward that end, Gadiel has testified repeatedly in Washington, before the 9/11 Independent Commission, to Congressional committees and state legislatures. He has made numerous guest appearances with people such as Chris Matthews, Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs, et al. He has met with FBI Director Mueller, the Justice Department and DHS, and President Obama and has received the endorsements of a variety of congressmen including Reps. Sensenbrenner, Culberson, Gallegly. He has personally toured the southern borders of Texas, Arizona, and California.
In short, Gadiel knows whereof he speaks.
Gadiel’s broader view on 9/11–the absolute necessity of establishing border integrity–may not in itself be unique but it renews a subject which has gotten insufficient scrutiny over the last decade. He incorporates and directly links America’s illegal immigration issues with the attacks ten years ago, sensibly arguing that if we had secure borders and a sane immigration policy that tragedy may have been averted. Most of the Islamic, terrorist fanatics who claimed almost 3,000 lives on 9/11 were in the United States illegally. FSA draws a direct nexus between those attacks and the loss of thousands more American lives on Mideast fields of battle.
9/11 Families for a Secure America Foundation has a long and arduous road ahead of it as does America itself before this nation is again reasonably assured that our enemies will never again succeed in perpetrating another atrocity on our shores. The worst thing we could ever do would be to adopt an attitude of complacency or to forget the past which then would become a harbinger of our future.
