Phil Griffin, who is the worst person in the world and a secret tea-bagger, has denied me my first amendment rights to support the candidate of my choice. After being betrayed in this manner, I recalled your recent hiring of the racist Uncle Tom Juan Williams after his being fired by NPR. NPR was, quite frankly, justified in firing Juan since he made his Islamophobia known in his on-air comments, not for anything he did in his undoubtedly execrable private life. Since you have provided that pathetic bigot, who is the worst person in the world, with a sizable contract, I believe it stands to reason that you should offer an even bigger contract to me, as I have never been disciplined for any on-air comments; rather I was fired for supporting the non-bigot, non-homophobe, non-racist, non-misogynist candidates in various races, which is my perfect Constitutional right.
Mr. Murdoch, you claim to be fair and balanced. Well, here’s your chance to prove it. You give airtime and perfectly good money to that racist, bigoted, puppy-beating maniac Bill O’Reilly, who is without a doubt the worst person in the world. I’m inclined to believe that Obermann’s abrupt firing was due at least in part to his immediate and somewhat hysterical response to the recent shootings in Tucson. By blaming the Tea Party, and demanding that Sarah Palin apologize for something that she had nothing to do with, he offended a large segment of the population. These are people who vote with their dollars, and the sponsors of his program understand that. He had to be made an example of. Harsh rhetoric is an important part of American political discourse, and has been for centuries. But libel, slander, and outright lies are dangerous for those who try to use them.
I was thinking the same thing. I remember reading a comment somewhere several months ago where some prescient person predicted that if the sale went through, there would be major changes as presumably money-grubbing capitalists move in to actually – you know – make money. I can’t believe that Olbermann makes anyone any money, and in the wake of the the liberal hysteria over the Tucson shooting, it might have pushed the issue to be addressed faster.
I’m also wondering if anyone notified Obama in advance. The idea that Olbermann would *ever* be let loose on the world stage as Press Secretary is ludicrous, but surely the White House could find some niche for such a dedicated water-bearer.
(Does he *have* to get another job? If he’s been making that many million for that many years, wouldn’t that be enough to retire on?)

I for one am hopeful that I will never again hear a James Thurber story read out loud so very badly as K.O. did it. Also, I watched tonight as the other MSNBCers remarked about him; one of them rambled on about how “it was so amazing that K.O. could create and run a full hour of op-ed work every single day”. There was nothing amazing about it; anyone THAT full of himself will go on for hours, days, weeks heedless of whether he actually makes a point, if no one’s actually listening, or even if he’s totally incoherent.
