Daily Beast Columnist Politely Calls for George Zimmerman’s Lynching
Daily Beast columnist Mansfield Frazier has turned the concept of “justice” upside down, arguing that George Zimmerman should be convicted in the shooting of Trayvon Martin merely to avoid race riots.
The case was already heavily politicized even before prosecutor Angela Corey filed a charge of second-degree murder against Zimmerman based upon an extremely thin affidavit. The charge was a shock to most legal experts because of the incredibly high burden of proof for a murder charge that none of the known evidence comes close to supporting.
It was in this toxic political environment that Frazier filed a remarkable op-ed titled “Trial of George Zimmerman Could Trigger Another Rodney King.” The article isn’t incisive in its dissection of the facts of the case. It doesn’t offer cogent analysis of the legal strategies that the prosecution and defense might try to use if the case proceeds to trial. It doesn’t caution fellow journalists to be careful about jumping to conclusions surrounding the case, a low-hanging fruit for any columnist with a hint of competence.
Instead Frazier offers the extraordinary advice that despite a critically — perhaps criminally — flawed prosecution, George Zimmerman should just cop a guilty plea anyway to assuage his violence-prone critics in the black community in an attempt to keep the violent mobs at bay:

That’s what I see down the tracks: If this case goes all the way to trial, it’s a train wreck waiting to happen. The time is now for strong hands to take the helm and steady the ship of state — not to mention our national racial, political and legal discourse. The paramount concern has to be to avert a large-scale racial calamity.
Were you misinformed that the role of the criminal justice system is to fairly and impartially weigh the facts and evidence of a case? Well, now you know better. Mr. Frazier has eloquently argued that racial politics, not guilt or innocence, is the true measure of “justice for Trayvon.”
But the Daily Beast columnist is just getting warmed up and won’t let facts stand in his way:
Look what’s already festering on the streets of Sanford, Florida. On the one hand we’ve got the three stooges of the New Black Panther Party running around Sanford, spouting off crazy ideas and becoming a total embarrassment to more thoughtful and reasoning blacks who simply want justice. On the other we’ve got the equally clownish neo-Nazis, goose-stepping around on their self-appointed mission to protect the white race.
The only problem with statement is that it patently isn’t true. There are no neo-Nazi patrols, and never were. The claim was based on an unsubstantiated phone call from out of state, published by another lazy journalist with shoddy editorial oversight.
Frazier then goes for Zimmerman’s lynching — but at least he does so politely:
We don’t want to go back there. Fortunately Zimmerman’s new attorney, Mark O’Mara, appears to comprehend the broader implications and potential danger of the situation, and seems well qualified to negotiate a fair outcome for his client, and indeed for the rest of us. He has the calm demeanor of a law professor, and speaks in measured, but not calculating, terms. His first comments seemed designed not to convince anyone of his client’s innocence, but rather to take the heated rhetoric down a few notches. He cautioned that everyone should allow the justice system to work.
So what would a fair outcome look like? To my mind, the government offers Zimmerman a plea deal that has him back on the street within this decade, and he accepts it quietly. That seems like a conclusion most reasonable Americans could live with. Of course, no matter how long or short any sentence may be, there will be those who disagree, some vehemently.
If O’Mara were successful in brokering such a resolution, he should be viewed as nothing less than a savior. A protracted murder trial of George Zimmerman is the last thing this country needs right now. America can only dodge so many racial bullets, and a not-guilty verdict in this case could very easily turn the racial cold war into a very hot one.
The language is soft, but the threat is implicit: Zimmerman should be pressured to take a plea deal … or else my people will tear this country apart.
Mr. Frazier’s comment is both a veiled threat and a sad commentary of what he expects from the black community. Similar sentiments are shared in his other articles about the case. Perhaps as a former newspaper editor and current Daily Beast columnist he’s simply come to the point where he expects little of substance from his fellow man.
But at least Mansfield Frazier is honest that he doesn’t want justice in this case, and he doesn’t pretend to be objective like CNN, ABC, or NBC have in their brutally dishonest attempts to profit from racial discord. He’s open about just wanting a conviction at whatever ethical or moral price.
Truth and justice be damned.

What you are seeing is the liberal expression of racism: condescension. The liberal racist might not use a racial slur, but, well, you can see it expressed here in this article, in quota systems, lower academic standards, etc. Just because they don’t use the N-word, doesn’t mean racism and bigotry aren’t rife amongst liberals.

Ramos and Compean were “convicted” by the testimony of a convicted felon who was also an illegal alien AND a drug runner (OSVALDO ALDRETE-DAVILA)who lied in his testimony to the court. Subsequent to the Ramos/Compean trial, Aldrete-Davila was sent to prison on an additional drug smuggling arrest. Furthermore, Johnny Sutton, the shameful US Attorney who prosecuted the border agents, was subject to disbarment proceedings for his abuse of office (but was not disbarred).
Think about Mukden, Gulf of Tonkin, the Sudentenland – whatever incident fills the bill. They are situations where a perception was exploited, whether you agree the original perception was justified, to expand a different agenda, usually exaggerating some danger or injustice. That higher agenda didn’t really care whether truth was served or not, or whether myths were employed as long as certain ends were achieved.
The above is the way I see the Trayvon Martin case. The black community and the political Left have taken a killing and made it into something far above what it may or not have been, and in their eyes, the case is closed. All these calls for ‘we just want an arrest’ seem phoney – what they in fact want is a conviction. Just wait and see what happens when Zimmerman walks and you’ll learn the truth of it.
In order to serve the racial obsession of the Left and urban myths about white Americans past and present, Zimmerman was magically transformed into a white man. Further, and despite massive statistical evidence that presents a completely opposite picture, the Left used the Martin case to say ‘See, we told you so – white people are murdering blacks in this country every day – hunting them even.’ One thing becomes the entirety of the United States of America because it is not seen as an anecdote, but confirmation of a massive trend.
Well, it is a lie. A lie based on hate and racism. The Dem Party has been veering into dangerous territory for at least a decade now and today they have become the most radicalized they have been in my lifetime. This radicalization has gone mainstream.
Although I suspected it, I never really believed the NBA Player’s Association would release such a patently racist press release as they did about the Martin case – you can’t get more mainstream than that. Blacks who bitterly complain about injustice, like Spike Lee, a mainstream film maker, who usually confines his whining to attacking Clint Eastwood because he didn’t depict heroic blacks at Iwo Jima, or that we should all do a Zimmerman on Cleopatra and turn a Macedonian Greek into a black sub-Saharan African, went off the rails and tried to release Zimmerman’s address – violence was certainly implied.
The real core of this situation is the urban myths black American’s hold about white people in America and the history of America, and the extent to which the liberal Left has bought into them, as if it’s still 200 years ago, slave ships still plying the waters of the Atlantic, or at least Jim Crow firmly in play. To invoke this, the Left has had to replace the now gone institutions of racism with ‘code,’ ‘dog-whistles,’ bizarre and inescapable theories like ‘white privilege,’ ‘the New Jim Crow,’ and Critical Race Theory.
Almost unbelievable racists are institutionalized in our mainstream colleges and universities: Dr. Boyce Watkins at Syracuse, Michael Eric Dyson at Georgetown, Melissa Harris-Perry at Tulane, Cornel West at Princeton and the vile James Cone at Union Theological Seminary. On top of this, you have similarly intransigent racists like Al Sharpton at MSNBC, Tavis Smiley at PBS, and Roland Martin at CNN. I have followed the writings of these people: there is not a single doubt in my mind they share the same intellectual and philosophical space as Nazis in 1930s Germany. The Dem Party is not far behind.
The Left and black Americans pillory groups like the Tea Party or GOP as racist simply because black folks don’t join them, not because they are structured around race. And every single entity that accuses the Right themselves either belongs to, or supports mainstream race-based groups too numerous to mention. Meanwhile on that conservative Right, they support not one mainstream law or organization founded on a concept of race.
Those on the side of Martin as being evidence of the endemic racism of America constantly ask others to do something they refuse to do: think of the greater good. The Duke Lacrosse case had the exact same racist sadness emerge from the black community.
In my entire life, I have never seen such a wholesale flood of hypocrisy, lies, racism and myths emerge from the Martin case as I’ve seen emerge from black Americans and the Dem Party. They have gone too far this time. What will be the result is unknown. Obama and Holder and their payback minions have already done more to radicalize blacks in a few short years than in the last 50. They have done so to a receptive audience, nodding their heads yes that America is full of white supremacists who simply went underground in 1970.
It is hard to believe I live in a country where a black Florida representative can show up to work dressed like a Bangkok hooker from a strip club and say the most vile racist things about whites. It is hard to believe that not one congressman in America has the guts to stand up and say ‘get out’ to the Black Congressional Congress. There’s more – I’ve written enough.

When I was young I always wondered how the Germans could go nuts the way they did. Well, I’ve had decades to see the same act unfold in front of my very eyes. The liberal Left is demonstrably insane. Does anyone doubt which would be the far more successful country if America was split between Dems and the GOP? Racism is a sad creature. We defeated the Nazis, ended slavery and then Jim Crow, marginalized the KKK and neo-Nazis into their own sad swamps and now we’re taking it on the chin as if we never did so either in terms of credit for it, or enjoying the reality of a brighter future. Obama’s ‘post-racial’ society evidently meant white folks admitting their native racism and promising to not do it any more. At any rate,with Rodney King, we all saw the beating on tape. None of us saw what happened with George and Trayvan.
Don’t be shocked if Obama comes up with a “why can’t we all just get along” speech. I may not vote for him next time, but I do happen to think that he does have that speech within him…maybe even before the election.

Indeed there’s no middle ground here, but only two alternatives of which only one can be true:
1. Zimmerman believed – wrongly or rightly, but with good reasons to conclude so – that his life was under imminent threat, in which case it’s a clear cut case of self defense and a manslaughter conviction is clearly unjust.
2. Zimmerman didn’t really think there was a threat to his life, but killed Martin anyway – that’s murder, so conviction of manslaughter is clearly unjust in this case too.
So a conviction for manslaughter is guaranteed injustice, whatever happened that night.
The only way to determine which alternative version is likeliest the truth is to fully examine all the evidence.
I am providing a credible alternative. When not being attacked by racist morons, I live my life in peace. I don’t know if Zimmerman is guilty. I don’t parse crime by skin unless someone starts saying I’m an informal member of a hunter-killer team of white folks out to discomfit blacks. Let’s notice a difference here between attack and defense. Were Americans Nazis when they were forced, FORCED, to engage in a dialogue about Nazism in the 1930s? Sure, the bigots like Sharpton and Dyson say they are being forced too, but I am not a child dazzled by a notion of two sides to a story.
I can look at history, I can apply context, proportion, look at stats, use judgement, instincts, tools of self-criticism. I am not part of some racial team called white people. I don’t wonder what’s happening to white people somewhere in the world today, or want to start a website about white poetry and science-fiction, white historians, and that tells how may white people won awards this week.

I could list dozens of black ones, but let’s concentrate on one that’s typical, The Root. Run by Henry (Beer Summit) Gates, Jr., a man with access to the President, owned by the Washington Post
The Root is a non-stop compendium of attacks on white people combined with racial self-obsession and advocacy. It is hate speech. Almost every article’s childish basic premise is that white people are bad and black people good. This is not Stormfront, but a site that is mainstream, with mainstream ads and the participation of black celebrities. It is a site where you will rarely find proportion, context and truth. It is a site where, if you exchanged the words black and white, would result in Derbyshire-like firings everyday. But blacks have some special dispensation to utter Nazi-like drivel and get away with it. I dare you to read The Root for one week and see if you can stomach it. Don’t forget the dismal comments section.
Now, look at a calendar on your wall, the one that says 2012. Then multiply The Root by dozens of other similar sites, TheGrio owned by NBC/Universal for one. Then add in the Assoc. of black fruit market vendors, police chiefs, mayors, law enforcement officials, journalists and add 1000 or more, maybe many more to that list. Then realize there is not a single white equivalent, not one – it is not allowed. Nor, I’m happy to say, should it be. It is a contextual argument that flies in the face of the lies being told about the Martin case. It is why nutty theories like ‘white privilege are needed; the one that says the less interested in parsing out the world by race, the more I am blithely unaware of my own racism.
Smug morons like Dyson, Sharpton, Bell and Perry see themselves as incredibly perceptive people, able to peer through the cracks of perception and see the REAL deal. In fact they are third rate intellects who contradict themselves everyday. A child could tear apart their stupid and hypocritical arguments. They could not do so to mine.

@Pnina: Manslaughter (involuntary) is possible under the circumstances of evidence produced that prove somehow that there was a struggle between Martin & Zimmerman for control of Z’s gun, culminating in the case of the gun going off while pointed at M’s chest. This is but one among any number of scenarios we can come up with as “Monday morning quarterbacks.” It’s not hard to see why it’s so important to wait for all the evidence to be revealed before judgements on this case are made. It’s amazing how powerful a force the media has become in its capacity to influence public opinion. We all need to be acutely aware of it & strive to avoid falling into the proverbial trap…….

That is absolutely not true, if justice is to be served. One might think that one’s life was endangered under all sorts of experiences, but the act of thinking/feeling so does not automatically make it so, if a jury decides that another response would have been more appropriate, especially when a death results. That having been said, back when we began discussing the matter some of the more astute people here acknowledged that that there were aspects of the stand-your-ground law that were simply too open-ended to be appropriate and some of those concerns involved the kind of wording, which gave one the absolute right to fire away under virtually any level of fear. It has to be that “a reasonable person might conclude that their life was in danger.
Obviously, we don’t know what happened, but it does not have to be either guilty of murder or not guilty of anything.
Dwight – You’re not up to date on the issue. Stand-your-ground is not relevant for Zimmerman. It might be relevant for Martin had Zimmerman continued to pursue him, but he didnt. Based on Zimmerman’s lacerations and bloody head and the fact that he did not know where Martin was after he stopped pursuing him, it would seem Martin came back and attacked Zimmerman. If Zimmerman felt he was going to die, his use of his gun to fend off the attack is totally justified, and it is case of self-defense. (Zimmerman was not standing his ground, he was lying on it.) To make Zimmerman the aggressor, you would have to conjure a situtation where after he had lost of Martin, he caught sight of him once more and started chasing him again. I think, though, that, that scenario can be refuted.

Man this is just wrong. I can see things that should have been done different and I can see both sides to this story. my son was murdered so i know what the family is going thru. I can understand what Zimmerman was doing, He saw someone he thought was going to rob someone and was trying to do a good job as a neighborhood watch. I also understand what Trayvon was going thru, He knew someone was following him. His girl friend told him to run, so that means he knew someone was following him and was afraid. What I don’t know is if Z ask him what he was doing out, or if he lived there. I don’t know what T said to him,if he ask those questions. When someone if scared they go into either the fight or flight mode. You run or you defend your self.If this had been a police officer I wonder what would have happened? would it have been sweep under the rug or would it have been made thsi public. I am in Arkansas and last week the police were called to a home were a man had went metal,they said he might have gotten off his meds. He was walking around hollering and when the police got there he started hitting the police car with a peice of metal. Not the officer but the police car.The officer shot him. was the officer in danger? I agree about the riots. The law must be followed, the evidence must be heeded. If blacks riot for their emancipation from any laws they don’t like, those riots will destroy their own neighborhoods. I would advise not attacking again Korea Town in L.A. Those Koreans have not surrendered their guns and will use them, as before, for defense of life and property. The large majority of blacks in the so-called “black community” in America are an embarrassment to adults. None of this makes a person guilty of anything criminal, but it is hard to deal with a person seriously when it appears they have chosen a no-brains approach to life, severely lack decency, take pride in isolating themselves from society, and/or can’t help from mocking themselves. I think you’re making generalization that aren’t warranted and that you should retract your statement. There is nothing wrong or evil about blacks protesting the killing of a young black man in their area when the perpetrator appears to be getting away with it. That doesn’t make Zimmerman guilty of anything of course, and I suspect that he’ll easily beat a murder 2 charge if he and his counsel have the stones to see it through.
What is wrong is the use or threat of use of force in the form of rioting or worse. The vast majority of blacks are not rioting or threatening to riot that I’m aware of. I live a few miles away from Sanford. My stepdaughter and her boyfriend live in Sanford. I go there about once a week. I’ve yet to see a single riot or even a protest, though a did see a sign on a car that said “Justice for Trayvon” near the Seminole Towncenter Mall last weekend.
Don’t let news coverage of a few well-televised events lead you to bad conclusions. Most blacks have as little interest in anarchy and violence as most whites, or white hispanics, whatever that means. Please give them the benefit of the doubt. Characterizing all of them by the worst among them would be equivalent to characterizing all whites by the actions of the Occupy Wall Street crowd.

How many black folks turned out to protest the killing of two English tourists down in Florida? Look at the Martin case: you see black folks lined up completely on one side and whites split. I don’t think blacks will riot if Zimmerman is acquitted, but if they do, then let the chips fall where they may. Once again, it will be blacks hurting themselves, and if they refuse to learn from that, it’s not up to white people to teach them.

Condemning a man for reasons other than those of his guilt or innocence is a huge step downward for any justice system. The question was put, and answered, quite starkly in “Judgment at Nuremberg”. What the answer MUST be should be pretty damn obvious to just about anything with a central nervous system.

A full 14 days before the verdict came in the Police Chief was Chastised and Sensured in the Press for having said, “We’d best be prepared for Violence if this verdict doesn’t go the way some people want.”
The immediate response was to portray him as a Racist and to have calls for his removal from the office. ‘How Dare he denegrate African American Citizens of Los Angeles in this fashion’ (approximate memory of the statement) the Mayor said of the Chief’s comments.
The LAPD was Prohibited from making any sort of preparations for any kind of violence as it would have been promoting Racial Steriotypes and express a lack of trust for the Black Community by the City of Los Angeles!

I was in Los Angeles on business when the verdicts were announced. Should Zimmerman be found not guilty or the case is thrown out, he needs to carry a weapon to protect himself from the likes of the New Black Panther Party who have been given immunity by Eric Holder. They know Holder won’t hold them responsible as he has proven in the past.

The media. They made this story, they have lied both by omission and commission in an attempt to convict Zimmerman, they employ race-hustlers as news readers, they help shield the people who threaten vigilante justice against Zimmerman, and invent other counter-vigilantes out of whole cloth, and they look the other way as the Obama adminstration first prejudices the case by having the President publicly assume Zimmerman to be guilty, and then declines to prosecute actual racially-motivated threats of violence.

One article said that in court, Zimmerman appeared to be wearing a bullet proof vest underneath his suit. His wife and parents said they did not go to court because of concerns for their safety. It was also reported that if Zimmerman was released on bail, that it would be necessary for Zimmerman to be housed in “safe” houses. As Americans, we are ALL brothers and sisters, but there are powerful people using their influence to divide us. To DELIBERATELY create fear and hate between the races. It is despicable and evil.

The LA media played and replayed the last few seconds of the video. They did not play the portions showing King repeatedly rising, and refusing to stay down.
They did not tell tell the audience that the LAPD cop directing the scene had told a CHP offier who had approached King with a drawn gun to back off, because he was worried King might be shot. Or that that same officer had once given mouth to mouth to a black/aids suspect. (don’t get me wrong–I detest a lot of cops-rude, arrogant, mere ticket issuers now days.)
The media called King a “motorist,” but ignored his refusal to stop, the suspicion that he was on PCP, and that he was an ex con.
Then the trial judge in Simi Valley blacked out the trial–so the public nevevr saw why those officers were acquitted. He was a good trial judge, and gave a fair trial. But the interest in the outcome was intense–whipped to a frenzy by pious outlets like the Los Angeles Times. The trial ought to have been televised.
When they were acquitted, people were kiled. And duh, lots of businesses did not come back to be burned out again–despite all the moaning by the Los Angeles Times about their “duty” to come back and risk their hard work, lives and savings all over again.
The media rush to judgment then was as bad as it is now. NBC is particular, is acting like a small southern town lynch mob out of the movies.
Martin’s parents are acting like normal parents and good people–so good the race baiters want them to “move aside,” so they can whip up more hate.

Mansfield Frazier; Justice takes on new meanings: Justice is for George Zimmerman to serve something short of a decade in prison; we need a strong firm hand on the wheel of the ship of state – not exactly Hitler, mind you – to fulfill the call of all reasonable people that one man should be sacrificed for the greater good of the society and culture. Individuals be damned. Justice is justice for all, not for a single specific case. I mean, what is Justice anyway, but to serve the greater good and order of a civil society? Not really Hitler but, oh say – a decent Pontius Pilate. It’s worked well in the past.
Suppose you have a carry permit and you carry concealed to a polling place? Who would know unless you actually pulled your weapon? Nobody so you have just kinda skirted the law now haven’t you!
I think of all places that the polling booth should be one of those places where you should be able to carry your weapon for defense of your own self, like the Black Panthers with their regalia and batons and stare you down looks are not offensive, what do you do for defense…you boldly walk in there whether armed your self or not and whilst voting call the police and have the vermin removed, if those that heed the call for violence against white or Asian or Hispanic voters they will find that of those other groups there are a great many that do not look for a fight but when confronted with one will fight back with a vengeance and with a population of about 13% might see that figure go down to about 7% in short order!
About race: When I worked in south Florida, I was highly amused to see the official race codes. As I recall they were:

I for one support Frazier’s proposal. Sometimes the needs of the many outweigh the rights of the few. Sometimes sacrifices must be made in the name of harmony. Ask any married couple.
But Frazier makes one small mistake. He recommends that Zimmerman be sent to prison for up to 8 years, quietly.
The purpose of Zimmerman’s “conviction”, regardless of the evidence, is to give the black community the perception that justice is done for Trayvon Martin. That perception must be made community wide, and therefore, Zimmerman’s punishment must get the widest possible disemination. Slinking off quietly defeats the purpose of punishing Zimmerman.
Jail time for a murder is a pretty stiff penalty, but we are talking about a child. Trayvon Martin had his whole life ahead of him, the very embodiment of potential. And now,that is all gone.
Besides, after up to 8 years in a Florida state prison, Zimmerman’s life will be pretty much destroyed anyway, one could argue that prolonging his misery would border on cruelty.
Instead of a quiet and brief prison term, Frazier’s goal would be better served by not only convicting George Zimmerman, ending his life, publically.
Perhaps some high hill or platform can be erected, and Mr. Zimmerman can be led to it, and his heart ripped from his still beating chest can be presented to the “black Community”. To Al Sharpton and the clan of thugs at the New Black Panther party. Isn’t this really what Mr. Frazier is asking for?
How about a 15-minute trial before a Joint Session of Congress and a single-bullet execution on the floor of the House of Representatives; followed by a speech from President Obama in which he laments the loss of Trayvon Martin, blames the loss of civility in public discourse for his death (and smilingly cautions Justice Scalia about the risks of “heart attack”).
Wouldn’t that serve the public interest just a little bit better?
Zimmerman will be acquitted as in the fact that he was defending himself, just imagine the circumstances that most of us know so far, and one of them being that a young punk was slamming the back of your head into a sidewalk, that does not seem to me to be a circumstance for just getting up and saying “Oh well, it was a misunderstanding I didn’t know you were here temporarily, and just going to the store for SKITTLES and an ICED TEA you poor soul ( at 10:30p.m.) and then not going straight home then you noticed me watching you and decided to attack me…no that couldn’t be the case, no instead this young brotha decided to attack an armed man, whether he knew so or not and when he started trying his best to kill the MURDERER (according to those not so enlightened) George Zimmerman the intended victim of 17 tear old suspended from school for punching a bus driver used deadly force to stop this PUNK and all will not necessarily end well but nevertheless <B?JUSTICE WAS SERVED on that very night and the cops knew it as well as others, but then the Lame Stream Media is all too quick to stir the pot of confusion and racial strife…why do they not report the race of suspects in crimes, oh no that would be because most of them are committed by “African-Americans” or blacks who pays any attention to this crap anymore?

We know the facts: Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman is not guilty.
Justifiable homicide is the defense in this case and that is true justice anything else is wrong as far as I am concerned, as an intentional HOMICIDE VICTIM, I can say that I carry at all times and will defend myself and do not go to bars or places where I should not be, but I will say this I am well prepared for just about anything…I do not need for you whilst pounding the back of my head into a sidewalk or pavement and saying “I’m gonna kill you” to even think about pulling the only means of defense I have and if it is my gun that I legally carry then so be it, it is better you are of me then the other way around, if I happen to kill you in the process then that is your own choice!
Mansfield Frazier may be on to something.
What this country doesn’t need are more race riots.
Perhaps, what this nation does need is a mechanism whereby black anger, though it admittedly may be partly spread by news TV, can be measured, and acted upon.
My plan.
From this day forward, recognized pollsters like Gallup will take the pulse of the black community to determine the desired outcome of high profile criminal court cases involving white on black crime. (We don’t need a plan to deal with the reverse because whites don’t generally riot.)
In the Trayvon Martin case, in dollars and cents terms, a fixed guilty penalty for Mr. Zimmerman will likely save millions in money and countless in lives. Not to mention millions in property damage. Black anger thus will be assuaged.
Isn’t this what President Obama implied when he took a father’s point of view when talking about the killing of Trayvon Martin? Don’t you think the President would go along with this plan?
It surely makes sense to me.
Of course, should Zimmerman be found guilty for these reasons, and should there be riots regardless, then it must be agreed that the police force and National Guard must go in to eliminate (using deadly force) all black participants; from ransackers, to plunderers, to looters, to arsonists to those who assault and, of course, to those who kill.
It also goes without saying that NBC and MSNBC will be shut down for inciting riots; their on camera people, regardless of color, will summarily be executed without redress, or access to any legal remedies.
Furthermore, whites who can prove they helped stop any such riots, naturally, will be compensated for their time and ammunition expended. And be given lifelong federal and civil immunity from prosecution should at any time in the future they feel it necessary to eliminate blacks who appear to be on the verge of previously explained and expounded upon behavior.
I think we must take Mr. Frazier’s idea and run with it.
Again, taking this whole conversation as serious. If I were Zimmerman, I would accept, in this day when a million dollars isn’t what it used to be, and when the government can throw a half a billion at a losing political cause like Solyndra, only 500 million dollars to leave the country with all his significant, or knowable, family. 20 million can buy a reasonably nice island anywhere in the world. And the other 180 million could compensate for loss of future earnings, the abdication of the rule of law in his case, and the infringement of his basic human rights. The other 300 million would go to the establishment of the lives and livelihoods of his extended, and threatened, family members.
In exchange for a guilty verdict, expulsion of him and his extended family from the United States and a half a billion dollars, the US and prevents tens or even hundreds of billions in rioting, looting losses and law enforcement costs; pacifies an angry electorate, preserves the prevailing culture, extends the appearance of the rule of law, and reestablishes the legitimacy fo the existing government.
The press would castigate him as only they can castigate an ex-pat under a cloud. And Zimmerman can nurse his wounds with a Margarita under an undisclosed palm tree somewhere in the world. Like poor — and I do feel sympathy for the 22-year-old fellatrix — Monica Lewinski, who can’t get a good job or a husband as a result of her following the directions of the then Most Powerful Man in the World, Zimmerman’s life is just about as ruined as hers, or as Richard Jewell’s.
Give him his money, strip him of citizenship, deport him as an undesirable, convict him in absentia, sentence him to censure and time served, and pay $100 in aggrievement fees and reparations to anyone who swears that they have emotionally suffered under these terrible circumstances — that would be another $500 million or so — and get on to rigging the fall elections, from which this is all an unseemly distraction.
But then, Obama couldn’t declare martial law, dissolve the Supreme Court, and suspend elections. It’s a hard choice: peace or power.

Not so fast. Within days of the incident, ABC posted a lossed (compressed) video of the original which purported to show no injuries to Zimmerman’s head. As it has become clear that at the trial, the original police photographs would be put forward by defence as evidence, the ABC honchos got cold feet and rushed to post the true images. (Another error in the production process, a la, NBC’s. Right?)
I take your point, BUT, I also heard on ABC early on about the story of Trayvon being on top of Zimmerman on the ground. It’s not clear to me what NBC (not MSNBC) did or did not report, but ABC has been reporting things that folks here say that the MSM does not report. It’s beyond (or below) my pay grade, but I would be very curious to see a night-by-night record of the alphabets and FOX; what they were reporting, what they were omitting. Fair enough?

Mr. Frazier refers to a Time column by Toure. I am not sure that Mr. Frazier accurately conveyed Toure’s message in that column, but that column link to another Toure column which said that “justice” [in the Martin/Zimmerman context] means merely means a day in court.”
I think Mr. Frazier has a rather different concept of justice. Some might conclude that Mr. Frazier was actually seeking justice nullification.
But given the left’s preference for result-oriented jurisprudence — evident in the fight over the Bork nomination to the Supreme Court — it seems to me that the left would leave the Statue of Justice in front of the courthouse, provided, however, that the blindfold was removed, and the scales held by Justice were no longer evenly-balanced, but titled toward the left.
I hope that Mr. Owens will do an article on the extremely frightening fact that the Department of Homeland Security whose stated purpose is to thwart “homegrown terrorism,” has awarded a contract to ammunition manufacturer ATK for acquiring 450 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammo. “Hollow point” ammunition is NEVER purchased for training. It is strictly for fighting.
It is a violation of the Geneva Convention to use hollow point ammunition on the battle field. Homeland Security will not be using this on other countries, but clearly plan to use 450 million rounds in America (on Americans?). Why this massive number of 450 million rounds when the overwhelming number of Americans are extremely patriotic? The hollow point ammunition is so dreadful, it is banned on the battle field. It has been suggested that this is (part of the preparations) to make WAR on Americans.
Actually the contract was to purchase up to 450 million rounds over the next ten years. The 450 million is the top number under the open end contract.
All police agencies pretty much carry hollow points now, only reason they are not allowed on the battlefield is due to the Hague Convention of 1899. Most of the civilian defense ammo is also hollow points, and it is even recommended by most concealed carry experts to try to carry the same ammo as your local law enforcement for legal reasons (basically cannot be said at trial that you are using unreasonable force because you carried some “super” ammo). There are a few states that ban them, but they are the typical nanny no-gun states anyways.
I would also disagree with the comment of not training with hollow points. you should always train at least part time with your duty round, not just standard FMJ target rounds. I for example use Speer Gold Dot (which my local sheriff uses) and Hornady Critical Defense hollow points as my CCW rounds and always shoot at least a box of each once a month on top of normal target practice to remain proficient.

One thing all hispanics should consider, zimmerman is one of your own. You should realize that in any battle between the black race baiters and rioters and hispanics, hispanics will lose. In my opinion it certainly wouldn’t have happened if Martin had been white since the whole thing was almost immediately orchestrated by the NAACP’s legal artifact, and I DO mean artifact.
Two English tourist’s were gunned down in Florida last year in an insane gang assassination to the sound crickets make. Certainly the difference in that case is that the perpetrator was apprehended and is being punished.
But, since the liberal Left chose to make the Martin case about white’s profiling and preying on blacks rather than the notion of a simple arrest being enough, then the case of the Englishmen makes for a stark contrast. In fact the contrast rises to the level of Orwell’s doublethink since, in crime terms, the Martin case is atypical and the case of the English tourists, typical. Yet the response from the Left is as if exactly the opposite is the case.
The liberal Left and particularly the black community has Tonkin-ized every move a white person has made from 1600 to 2012 until America’s history is unrecognizable and such entities as the GOP and Tea Party racist, smirking morons giving each other secret handshakes while holding KKK hoods behind their backs.
The day Obama was elected precisely because he was black and gave a nice prepared speech, this day of division and war was set in motion. From that day forward the double standards in behavior were not only excused as they have been for at least two generations, but used as ammunition for utter lawlessness and duplicity. It will not be accepted by liberals that Obama has failed and failed miserably. They will refuse to their death to admit the obvious EPIC fail, and that they themselves are racist.
Assuming this verdict goes as I think it will, as the suggestion this was 2nd degree murder ludicrous as the facts suggest at this minute, there will be riots, and their will be death, and the media and the race hustlers will walk away unscathed to live another day, await another opportunity to create strife if history repeats itself. And whites will be targeted for destruction specifically for being white and not acquiescing to black racist appeasement.
I don’t mean to minimize the pain of the parents who lost a son as they are being used by the media and the pimps to win an election, and this is ultimately what Trayvon Martin is about, but isn’t it time that whites who will be blamed for every ill, every fault, every verdict learn from recent history and act as the brave Korean grocers in L.A. 20 years ago?
The further the bad behavior accepted, the more power these vicious perpetrators of division gain.
Such a shame. There are plenty of people who would have made great “first black presidents”. Instead we have these racist bigots who just want to return blacks to the civil rights chaos of the 60′s. Its too bad that more blacks can’t see though him — he’s hurting them.
Of course………….everything said in this article is obvious to anyone with a hint of logical intelligence.
But….alas………the average black American has ( will riot to standard tests ) a lower than average intelligence, and a lower than average education……..easily led into a mob frenzy by their leaders and their sycophants.
Based on what has been said in the media, Zimmerman will be acquitted.
And the mob will riot. And the police….cowards that they really are…will stand by and watch.
The mob will die at the hands of the average armed citizen protecting his property…..Just wait and see
I for one don’t see a difference between what this man is saying and the KKK’s claim that Blacks are violent and stupid, apart from him adding in the end, “so we should corrupt the justice system to appease them”. A bit like radical feminists who talk about how logic and mathematics are “tools of male opression”, which, in other words, agrees with the 19th-century view that women are illogical and emotional and shouldn’t worry their pretty little heads about things like science or mathematics.
The KKK is history, like slavery. They have been Darwinised from the body politic. And Obama? Not yet. Alas, not yet.

If this degenerates into riots, a la Rodney King, Jackson and Sharpton are directly to blame for instigating them. If they wanted to insist on an investigation, that’s fine, but “leaders” would tell people to wait and get the facts before making any sort of judgments. They would certainly speak out AGAINST violence.
And BTW, where are Sharpton and Jackson in the case of the 17-year old Kansas City youth (black) who lit a 13-year old boy (white) on fire while exclaiming, “you got what you deserved white boy”. That boy has been charged only with 1st degree assault — isn’t this more like attempted murder? That boys life is ruined by the burns on his face and upper body. It appears, like Holder, they only care about white (and in Zimmerman’s case that epitaph had to be hypenated) on black crime but couldn’t care less about the reverse.
Why is is that they don’t care about the violence coming out of the black population? Do they really think that this type of behavior is acceptable because their such “victims”? Why don’t they encourage them to be successful like Sharpton and Jackson are? Oh, their success is based on race baiting and victimization of their “people” (as Holder likes to say). If they really cared, they’d be encouraging blacks to make something of themselves.
Whatever happened that sad night Ziimerman did not just kill Martin for absolutely no reason, he must have been provoked!
If George Zimmerman is found not guilty resulting in race riots I do believe the black community will be surprised when white America doesn’t just lay down this time. Additionally Obama’s contribution to the growing racial discord and Holder’s lack of action will contribute heavily to the already growing dissatisfaction to his presidency. Obama has not definitively accomplished one item he campaigned on but has blamed the former administration for all his failed initiatives. The black community’s dependence on government subsidies has grown expotentially and their ability to compete has declined at a similar rate. Even those that become multi-millionaire professional athletes are failures as a growing number of them file for bankrupcy with nothing to show for their time in college, most haven’t even graduated. You don’t see Jackson, Sharpton, Holder ever address these issues they only stoke the fires of hate and miscontent.
