They should never hold a position of trust again. Especially they should not be trusted to teach young people about science or anything else. In addition, they should be pursued in a court of law for repayment of any and all government monies awarded on the basis of fraudulent data. Let them live out their years mopping floors somewhere--but not at McDonalds, which employs many young people. It is not enough that these people lose their jobs. Recall that he was on the team denying that human characteristics such as intelligence are inherited. The infamous hockey-stick graph required that the historical record of the Medieval Climatic Optimum be expunged (not only was it obviously hotter then, but it increased crop production in Europe). And anyhow, where did Greenland get it's name? Even more insane is the fact that they are denying that the weather has been moderating (at least in the US) for the last 10 years. Sorry, I've been doing my own observations. Science can explain lots of mysterious facts, but don't expect me to accept their explanations of facts that history shows, or that I personally know, are not true.
