CAIR’s Strong-Arm Tactics in the Cradle of Liberty
Aaron Proctor, a Philadelphia-based libertarian writer, can count himself the latest victim of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization that ironically claims to work for civil rights.
Proctor, a colorful commentator for the Philadelphia version of Examiner.com, had the temerity to investigate CAIR’s dubious background in connection with its Philadelphia branch’s planned fundraising dinner on March 12 at a municipal facility, the Springfield Country Club. CAIR-PA invited Johari Abdul-Malik to deliver one of the evening’s main addresses. Abdul-Malik works at the Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, which has the distinction of being the former base for an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and for Anwar al-Awlaki, mentor to Fort Hood murderer Nidal Malik Hasan and underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.
In keeping with these associations, Abdul-Malik declared in 2001:
I am gonna teach you now. You can blow up bridges, but you cannot kill people who are innocent on their way to work. You can blow up power supplies … the water supply; you can do all forms of sabotage and let the world know that we are doing it like this because they have a respect for the lives of innocent people.
When Islamist Watch notified various local citizens’ groups of the Springfield Country Club event, Proctor picked up the topic. He titled his first posting on the subject “CAIR, an Islamic terrorism group, coming to Delaware County next month” and then challenged Congressman Pat Meehan, in whose district Springfield Township lies, to speak out about the banquet. Meehan responded cautiously, supporting CAIR’s “right to peacefully assemble” while addressing its questionable history:
CAIR has recently made a series of statements accusing the FBI of falsely entrapping Muslim-Americans and advocating that Muslims not cooperate with law enforcement and the FBI. … As a former U.S. attorney, I am extremely concerned about the message that this kind of rhetoric sends to the community.
CAIR-PA then attacked both Proctor and Meehan and strong-armed the Examiner with accusations of defamation and publishing “hate speech.” Brazenly lying about CAIR’s status as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial, it claimed that there was “zero court-admissible evidence to suggest that they are in anyway [sic] related to terrorism.” In fact, CAIR practically admitted it was a “terrorist-supporting front organization” when it backed off a 2004 defamation lawsuit it had initiated, for fear of the discovery process. Further, as recently as July 2009, U.S. District Judge Jorge Solis found “ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR … with Hamas.”
Setting its sights on the weaker adversary, CAIR-PA sent the local police Proctor’s photograph and accused him of being a potential “security threat.” In a letter to a senior staffer at the Examiner, CAIR-PA charged Proctor with “hate speech,” “bigotry,” and “slander” and issued a strongly worded request for the writer’s dismissal.
The letter also fudged the truth about the Philadelphia chapter’s link to the terrorism-tied national group, stating: “Although CAIR-Philadelphia licenses the use of the name CAIR, we are legally distinct entities.” The claim of a wall separating the national organization from its local branch is ludicrous; CAIR-PA employs the same logo as the national organization, carries the same news alerts as the national organization, and responded to Meehan by citing the national organization’s alleged crime-fighting credentials.
Frightened by CAIR’s threats of libel proceedings and references to “hate speech,” the Examiner folded. On February 11, management suspended Proctor from work while it reviewed the legalities of his anti-CAIR articles.
If things are as you say, then this is where we should be taking our stand and fighting back, not with that moronic Koran burning Jones.
The problem with CAIR is that even if some miracle occurred and it was banned tomorrow they would just reassemble like rats in the walls and come out with some new group; they sense weakness and know that we, not they, are constrained by our Constitution even unto viewing it as a suicide pact.
I absolutely guarantee you this is how anti-Western muslims see the issue. CAIR pays lip service to our Constitution but has no real interest in it or in being good Americans.
The Immigration Act of 1965 must be repealed and these people simply kept out of the country where they manipulate the Constitution in the most cynical manner. If muslims have an interest in law, let them go to the wall for the concept in their own lands.
What in the world they want here in the first place is just beyond me. What in the world is wrong with Islam? I would have absolutely no trouble banning its presence in the U.S. – it is a Fifth Column in our midst.

Which, distilled to its core is essentially:

Exactly the position of Mr. Jones.
In our Western Legal and Administrative settings, we cannot defeat the Islamists. Our laws and rules mean nothing to them. Their Prophet and their religion recognize no secular laws. They recognize no Bill of Rights, no rules or precidents contained in the concept of democratically elected republics….and most importantly, as a religion they have no moral obligation of truthful or honest dealings with us.
They will (and DO) constantly LIE about everything. It is a tennent of their faith to LIE TO THE INFIDELS, and with no guilt make endless promises they have absolutly no intention whatsoever of keeping. They do so continuously, all the while laughing at our dissapointment that, no matter how hard WE TRY, they do not in return behave like US.
They will be caught, red-handed, funding Terrorist groups, and simply dismiss it by saying Hamas/Hezbola/Mahdi Army/Fattah/Muslim Brotherhood/ etc. etc. “are not terrostists”. When these very groups murder children in their beds, CAIR will simply say “we dont support that activity”.
We cannot challenge their threat with our rules. It is a fools game to believe we defeat them in court(s) we can someday win the “hearts and minds” of the “moderates” by showing them the benevolence of our version of Fairness and Justice.
Moderate Islam is an Oxymoron. As long as Mr. Mohammed is a revered figure to them, the violence and lying, (and the lying about the violence and lies), will continue…. as we chase our tail in frustration, looking for a “solution”.
Until The Prophet Mohammed himself is fully discredited as the despicable character he was, and his way of life is openly condemned by every decent person in this country, their will BE no success against Terror, and the Religion OF Terror. Look at crime rates across America in 1960 and who was here. People are congratulating themselves that crime is down from stupendous numbers in the ’80s and 90s and it’s still twice or three times what it was in 1960.
I’ll say this again: look at how muslims fight here for their culture in a country not even their own and look how we who built the damn thing sit on our hands and allow even more immigration and maneuverings.
Holding the Constitution in a burning building makes no sense. We are in a slow moving and cultural civil war and one side is ruthless and organized and laughing at our laws and the other side is discussing racism at a Starbuck’s. The Constitution is not a document the world made but was made by a specific culture with specific values. That culture is despised by others except for the paycheck it yields and half of our own culture actually manipulates it to aid and abet. The recent ruling in AZ shows that all too clearly.
It’s a fight and we have to get out of a mind set that says reacting to a Pearl Harbor is some kind of racist act. Even that deluded Tom Hanks, when promoting HBO’s ‘The Pacific’ said one of the reasons we went to war with Japan was because of racism. No word from him on why we fought the Germans and Italians or set ourselves against the Soviets but it’s safe to say ‘values’ is not in Hanks vocabulary.
We are seeing the effects of what would have happened if we had waved the Constitution at the Japanese after Pearl Harbor or burned bibles for that matter rather than acted. I understand why we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan but the fight is here and the first act after 9/11 should have been to repeal the immigration act of ’65 cuz that’s what enabled 9/11. And what folows? Muslims want to build a ‘community center’ near Ground Zero named after the eternal wafq of Cordoba they symbolically covet and which is the central idea of the Palestinian struggle.
This is a fight and it begins and ends at the immigration act which has to be the first stop, followed by the deportation of all illegals. Am I to believe that 200 years from now muslims and Latinos in America will be waving the Constitution at a European minority? They’re not doing it now so why would they do it then? We already have European Americans themselves in the streets shouting ‘Down with the U.S.A.’ and illegals marching with foreign flags and buildings literally falling into rubble and fire – what more do we need to wake up? Is the year 2050 looking good?
There is racism and there is reality. We have to stop being cut off at the knees by guilt over a Jim Crow past and deal with the reality of where civil peace and prosperity actually come from and not where we WISH it came from. Liberals believe in a history they can’t show and they don’t believe in a history they can show. Liberals are out of this fight, forget about them, they’re history and the enablers of their own demise.

I have a Brazilian American friend, born in Brazil and she is as apolitical as they come and very peaceful. Claims to love America – so what does she do for fun? She put a Brazilian TV documentary on her Facebook page which pillories America for its role in the coup in Brazil in ’64 while asking the question of how the world 50 years from now will see America as playing the same role in the ‘Arab Spring’.
I’m telling you, our new immigrants don’t like America and they don’t like our story. I agree. The only thing we can do to even try to stop this infusion of evil is to seal off the borders. If we don’t, CAIR and other organizations like it will continue to grow, and exploit the liberal laws of our society.
I do disagree with you on one point, though. I think that Muslims not only pay lip service to our constitution, but they study it very carefully, in order to try to circumvent our laws to establish Sharia. I’ll bet there are Muslims who know more about the constitution than many Americans because of this.
CAIR is predictable. Therefore it should be possible to defeat them.

CAIR, CASMII and NIAC all need to be taken down and the FBI and U.S. Justice Department should be given clear tracks to proceed with their already initiated investigation and Obama and Holder need to get the hell out of the way or be prosecuted themselves for treason.

So, where’s the FBI to investigate CAIR’s thuggish actions? Oh, excuse me, they’re investigating Proctor, not the thugs. How silly of me to think that we live in a rational world where the victims of crime are exonerated and protected. Well, CAIR won’t shut me up. I’ll call these CAIR thugs out and clean their clocks. When indiviudal writers and solo publications are left to face organizations like CAIR and their strong-arm tactics on their own, is it any wonder that they slink off into the sunset with their tails between their legs after the initial foray?
Until we get our act together here and develop organizational support and protection for brave souls like Protor, CAIR will continue to have the tactical advantage.
It’s the way Islam has always spread. Since the time Muhommed was raping and murdering his way through the Middle East, Muslims have used violence to suppress opposition and spread their religion.

CAIR is a terrorist organization. They have fully infiltrated all levels of govt with people who have promoted the narrative about Islam that Islam wants to cover what they are doing. Let me add my two cents before I move onto another site, if I had any type of political power, I would investigate CAIR under “RICO Law”, and have their sorry asses arrested, during the course of the investigation, if I find out that their getting their money from muslim terrorist ogranizations overseas (in which they are and that’s a fact), I will seize all of their assets, put it up on a auctions, have all of the CAIR employees either arrested for conspiraing against we the american public or have them deported out of my country, and I will put CAIR out of business for good.
Folks, CAIR is the modern day German American Bund, you see, back in the 1930s and early 1940s, their was an american nazi organization in this country who shilled for Adolph Hitler and the National Socialist (ie, the Nazi Party). They had meetings and rallies across the country, they had a rally inside MSG in New York City, and their was violent outbreaks between members of the German American Bund, and regular private american citizens of that time. But the FBI investigated the Bund and put them out of business, the samething can happen to CAIR immediately, because CAIR don’t respect the US constitution and bill of rights, they overtly said that they want to sharia theocracy emerge in our government. Islam is not just a religion; it is a religious system, a political system and a military system. Muslims can lie to the infidel to promote Islam. Radical Muslims believe Americans are infidels; and the infidels will have to convert to Islam, be enslaved or be killed. The Muslim Brotherhood calls for a “Civilization-Jihadist Process,” in which they would destroy the Western civilization from within and impose Sharia Law on this country. They state, we do not want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy. That is what we want.
Sharia Law is not compatible with the US Constitution. Nevertheless, there was a judge in New Jersey that used Sharia law in his decision. It was overturned, but he did it. A Judge in Florida ruled the use of Shariah law in a civil case on February 23,2011.
You have Muslim cab drivers refusing to pick up people (infidel’s) who have alcohol or dogs, etc. You have Muslim cashiers at Target who refuse to check out people with bacon. Christians in Dearborn Michigan were arrested June 2010, for handing out excerpts of the Bible on a public street outside of a Muslim festival to people who wanted the info. The Christians won their case and are now suing for Civil Rights violations, but they were arrested. Yet, at the 2010 Labor Day State Fair Muslims passed out literature on Islam to people inside the grounds. The UN wants to impose a law where no one can speak out against Islam.
As a State Senator, Obama said we must have empathy for the jihadists who attacked this country on 9/11.He also invited the Muslim Brotherhood to attend his 2009 speech in Cairo, Egypt. Barack Hussein Obama is an appeaser and shows weakness to the world endangering Americans.
These things are happening TODAY and that is why we must remain vigilante against this invasion. As I stated, look at what has been happening in Germany, Great Britain, Italy and France with Muslims.
Yes the 1911 is a formidable, reliable tool but the 9mm is more suitable to smaller stature and women….a feature not a bug.

I live in the township right next to Springfield and have friends & relatives who live there & some are very…vocal. Also, we have a strong Tea Party group in the county and I will bring this to the next meeting to discuss. Thanks for the reporting.
I don’t know if anyone noticed it but there wasn’t a lot of interest in South America or by muslims in World War II. In Rio de Janeiro they have a World War II Monument depicting 3 stylized men; might have been their total casualties.
If America is filled up with people who really don’t care about things like Democracy and liberty then who’s gonna go to bat for the world next time some emperor gets bored? In the middle east, they already have all the symptoms of a Tojo or Hitler – all they lack is armies.
This isn’t working out very well and it may be impolite but I really can’t see a bunch of Latinos and muslims singing ‘Over There’. Is this what my father and uncles fought for – mosques in Detroit? Why do people live in America if they don’t like it?

Islam, the U.N., and 9/11
Islamic nations are historically accustomed to mass murder, religious mayhem, unimaginable bloody atrocities. That’s the only explanation and not a defense for the fact the last, best hope for a peaceful world, the United Nations, has failed not only to condemn the unprovoked terrorist, sneak attack on America almost ten years ago but to even arrive at a definition of terrorism.
The U.N. is quite capable of declaring an international Earth Day or to pass toothless resolutions against Saddam Hussein and Israeli aggression but to define or take action against the worldwide Islamic war against the West? That doesn’t pass muster or qualify for official condemnation or even meaningless sanctions.
The reason? Aside from the United Nation’s established corruption, proven ineptitude, and ingrained stultification, the primary reason the U.N. can’t get around to condemning September 11th, 2001 as the acts of terrorists or get to the subject of defining terrorism is the resistance of the OIC, the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
The OIC, a collection of 57 Islamic states–a number which happens to coincide with the number of American states our president says he visited during the 2008 campaign–refuses to approve . . .
