Bush's foreign policy has no doubt created more foes and terrorists than he has captured and killed. His inability to capture Bin Laden speaks to his false commitment on the war on terror. His domestic policy has been atrocious, I don't think anyone wants to debate his side regarding that. To Dark Helmet I would say that your ability to write a coherent paragraph makes you to smart to back Bush, seeing how he doesn't write any of his speeches, his off the cuff comments would raise eyebrows in the most podunk bars and his policies seem like a college student cobbling together some bs the night before the paper is due. There is no doubt Abe Lincoln was a great president. I bet you he wrote all his major speeches. I love how republicans claim him even tho everybody knows 1860 Republicans are much more like democrats than todays republicans. And thank you Dark Helmet for defining patriots as ones who stick by there presidents even though he is the most piece of crap leader ever. That's not what a patriot is. A true patriot loves his country enough to stand up to the most powerful person in the world and tell him "your not getting the job done". And if you think he is.. than your not very smart. And guess what OSB is loving every minute of it. And ps Cheney is even worse.

History will be the judge Andrew.

A leader's contributions are usually appreciated years later.

For example, the postition we find ourselves in the middle east because of carter letting our greatest ally fall to the same group that murdered our family on 09/11/01.

I can't speak for other people, but I am not wishful. I am however a believer in the greatness of America and fully support President Bush as he has had to make tough choices for the best course while surrounded by people such as yourself constantly distorting the reality on the ground.

You see, I am an American, not a party. I am a patriot, not a citizen.

Popularity contests are for high school, not the White House. The most unpoular President in history was murdered while in office. 150 years later he is recognized as being the great A. Lincoln.

By not playing into the hands of the sound biters, such as yourself, he has kept this great nation togther while half of it is trying to kll itself in the name of PC and liberalism.

I honestly think the democrats will embrace islam to destroy the very soul of America because of an irrational hatered for the man who they can not stand to compare themselves to.

So sound bite away, keep trying to ride the hollywood wave, I am going to stay with my ever unpopular support of President Bush. You see, I believe in America.

I think Bush's approval ratings say a great deal about how Americans have viewed his leadership. People like Dark Helmet are just wishful thinking portraying President Bush as a man of incredible vision and success (tho the supposed success will only occur far in the future). A majority of Americans now understand what a failure the Bush administration is. There is many things right about America but there were more things right about it before Bush came to office. The things Bush has done right are few and very far between and all the right things that conservatives can point to are debatable at best, meaning they are successes only through the viewpoint of Republicans. His leadership has been a complete comedy of errors, which would be funny if it wasn't so sad. As for Bush being remembered as a great leader I would say he is more likely to be viewed as one of the worst presidents in the last 100 years (even below Carter).

The coined phrase is 'Bushderangement Syndrome' .

Andrew does a great job of demonstrating it.

History has already begun to prove you wrong and all the liberal talking points in the world won't change that.

President Bush will be remembered as a great leader of moral courage and steadiness at a crucial time when America had been adrift for the past 8 years.

The only real shame is that he had to suffer so many fools who needed his leadership.

Not capitalizing God says a great deal about your veiws as well.

Try looking at America in the lens of what's right.

This article is hilarious. Not only because of its total disregard for the facts and context of what is going on but also for its assertion that Bush's plan and vision is going great. First I would say that Bush's vision outlined in this article is totally incorrect. The fact that we have to alter our reason for this war every year (from WMDs, to liberating the people, to countering Iran, to providing mideast stability) shows that Bush did not have a plan for Iraq beyond the initial invasion. The author's assertion that the government in Iraq has a future show his lack of understanding of the legitimacy of any of Iraq's current institutions. I love how we know characterize success in Iraq by the fact that we get to keep troops there for 50 years! Great! It will be just like Korea, only if the South Koreans hated us and the North Koreans were oil rich and Islamic. Thank god for George Bush, where would we and the middle east be without him? (not to mention the value of the dollar)

The Saudis just released 1500 Islamo Fascist Terrorists. Suppose they got their orders to proceed to Iraq and join Harry Reid and Nasty Pelosi in trying to snatch defeat from victory?

A pox on both their house if it is so.

In fact, we did win th ewar in Iraq, in very short order. The 4th largest army in the world being defeated in a few months. It is the peace that we now seek to win. God bless our President and the leadership he has shown to not let so called public opinion polls direct our nation. Much unlike the last administration of shame and dishonor.
