BREAKING: PJ Media Finds Gunwalker’s ‘Unreachable’ Man in the White House
The committee’s interest in Kevin O’Reilly stems from documents the White House released last month on September 30 – a late afternoon “Friday document dump.” From Sharyl Attkisson’s reporting on the documents:
The documents show extensive communications between then-ATF Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix office Bill Newell — who led Fast and Furious — and then-White House National Security Staffer Kevin O’Reilly. Emails indicate the two also spoke on the phone. Such detailed, direct communications between a local ATF manager in Phoenix and a White House national security staffer has raised interest among Congressional investigators looking into Fast and Furious. Newell has said he and O’Reilly are long time friends.
The email exchanges span a little over a month last summer. They discuss ATF’s gun trafficking efforts along the border including the controversial Fast and Furious case, though not by name. The emails to and from O’Reilly indicate more than just a passing interest in the Phoenix office’s gun trafficking cases. They do not mention specific tactics such as “letting guns walk.”
A lawyer for the White House wrote Congressional investigators: “none of the communications between ATF and the White House revealed the investigative law enforcement tactics at issue in your inquiry, let alone any decision to allow guns to ‘walk.’”
Among the documents produced: an email in which ATF’s Newell sent the White House’s O’Reilly an “arrow chart reflecting the ultimate destination of firearms we intercepted and/or where the guns ended up.” The chart shows arrows leading from Arizona to destinations all over Mexico.
In response, O’Reilly wrote on Sept. 3, 2010 “The arrow chart is really interesting — and — no surprise — implies at least that different (Drug Trafficking Organizations) in Mexico have very different and geographically distinct networks in the US for acquiring guns. Did last year’s TX effort develop a similar graphic?”
The White House counsel who produced the documents stated that some records were not included because of “significant confidentiality interests.”
Also included are email photographs including images of a .50 caliber rifle (left) that Newell tells O’Reilly “was purchased in Tucson, Arizona (part of another OCDTF case).” OCDTF is a joint task force that operates under the Department of Justice and includes the US Attorneys, ATF, DEA, FBI, ICE and IRS. Fast and Furious was an OCDTF case.
An administration source would not describe the Tucson OCDTF case. However, CBS News has learned that ATF’s Phoenix office led an operation out of Tucson called “Wide Receiver.” Sources claim ATF allowed guns to “walk” in that operation, much like Fast and Furious.
Congressional investigators for Republicans Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) have asked to interview O’Reilly by September 30. But the Administration informed them that O’Reilly is on assignment for the State Department in Iraq and unavailable.

I thought we were pulling all Americans out of Iraq? It’d sure be a shame if Mr. O’Reilly got caught up in some unfriendly cross-fire.
If I were O’Reilly I would be very careful where I went until this blows over. I wouldn’t put it past some apparatchik in this administration to decide to tie up this loose end with the help of some Iranian killers.
My thought as well…
Ron Brown
Ron Brown and other conspiracy theories. Do you have any proof?
Totally agree, and makes you go hmmmm…!
Hopefully, this man stays alive; otherwise the scumbags in DC may think he too is ‘expandable’ as Agent Terry, but they surely would be suspect if any harm comes to O’Reilly.
This guy is toast. Would you be surprised if this wasn’t the first guy to show up dead at the hands of this administration? I certainly wouldn’t.
… Wait, besides Border Patrol agent Brian Terry … And ICE agent Jaime Zapata … And …
Don’t forget Lt. Harris, found with a bullethole in his head (car); hte man who was investigating or testifying in 2008 in regard to the ‘passport’ gate, when Brennan et al scrubbed Barry’s passport.
Additionally, the two men in Chicago, I believe they were members of J Wrights church, which Barry attented. One of them was Young, a gay man, the other one I can’t recall his name, but both were part of Barry’s acqaintences. Police investigation of all 3 men went nowhere, and were swept under the rug. That too makes you go hmmmmm…..
That was my first thought. Iraq, what a convenient place to turn up dead. What are the odds?
The only ones ‘unavailable’ in Iraq are dead.
“It’d sure be a shame”
But not a surprise.
Very interesting. The stink of cover-up is is rolling down Pennsylvania Avenue like a tsunami.
PJ Media calls Kevin O’Reilly, is told he is on assignment on the Moon, will return in twenty years, is there anyrhing else we can do for you, would you care to speak to our Director for Toilet Supplies in the Iraq sector?
“unexpectedly”…Heh.
Kudos to Sharyl Attkisson of CBS for being tenacious and Kudos to PJ Media for forwarding the info to the House Committee. And what does it tell you when someone is sent to Iraq for safety reasons?
Priceless.
I wonder now will Me O’Reilly end up either KIA or MIA? If all trrops are being pulled out what is that position even for? Nothing about the circumstances allows a reasonable person not to be highly suspicious now does it!
Yep there is a coverup and it is getting worse all the time good luck with the final outcome being in favor of the administration!
Iraq is not the dark side of the moon. Generals fly in from Iraq, testify before Congress and fly back all time – QED. There are plenty of SIPERNet Video-Tele-Conferencing suites in Baghdad too. Or Chairman Issa’s staffers could go Iraq depose him, take in the sights and fly back. Saying he is somehow “unreachable” is a total crock.
JC – Nope, sorry. Neither of those options is acceptable.
O’Reilly is the subordinate of a political appointee, not an elected official. You don’t send the “boss” to the “employee” to get answers. It’s the other way around.
While Issa and Grassley are career politicians, and therefore on equal terms with pond scum in the food chain, they are trying to get answers. We need to remind them that the DoJ, ATF, FBI and all the other alphabet money pit agencies are answerable to them, and therefore answerable to us, the American taxpayer.
Rep. Issa needs to get on the phone to Hillary and TELL, not ask or request, she make arrangements to have O’Reilly’s butt on a C5 post-haste.
Simply subpoena him and dispatch a couple US Marshals to go retrieve his arse and be done with it. the subpoena will be valid because he is on american soil (the US Embassy) and is therefore just as reachable as if he were in DC.
Administration – “Kevin O’Reilly is taking a leave of absence to take a stroll in Marcy Park”.
Where he will “accidentally” fall. Onto some bullets.
i was thinking ron brown, myself.
wow.
can you imagine bush pulling a stunt like this?
actually, the last president who acted similarly, to a lesser degree, was richard nixon.
two coexisting axioms in dc politics…
‘when you are in a hole, stop digging’ and ‘it isn’t the crime, it is the coverup’.
this has become the largest ‘hole’ in american political history. whether people are watching it be dug, now, or come to see the ‘crater to china’ in another six months, there is little that obscures the evidence.
at this point, holder’s only play is to innoculate/insulate the president, so that his pardon at the expiration of obama’s term comes cleanly.
he actually ‘can’t’ resign becuase they don’t have the ‘next guy’ to work damage control and who is certainly willing to obstruct justice. holder has to ride out the whirlwind, and pick the precise point where he can jump off.
strangely enough, i’m wondering whether a conviction has to come, before a pardon is granted…
can’t even begin to imagine the tensions mounting between obama’s reelection team and his doj squad. of course, subpoenas might loosen some tongues, or at least compel the doj to start digging faster.
strangely enough, i’m wondering whether a conviction has to come, before a pardon is granted…
No. In the Nixon example you gave, Ford pardoned Nixon before indictments were ever issued, and that ended the matter (as far as any violations of Federal Law went)
i tip my yankee cap…
“two coexisting axioms in dc politics…
‘… ‘it isn’t the crime, it is the coverup’.”
It is not true, when the crime is greater than the cover-up. These are death-penalty offenses. Extradition to Mexico. We are not talking soft American legal system, ROR, and country-club jails, here. We are talking hard-time, then death. End of the line for them. Every day delayed in the investigation is another day they get to live.
I used to have a sign over my desk that said: “When the enemy is in range, so are you!”
So, we like the idea of Holder being extradited to Mexico, don’t we? How are we going to like it when the new Iranian backed Iraq and Afghanistan with the imprimatur of the UN demand the extradition of Don Rumsfeld for war crimes trials. How ’bout the guys in the blue helmets come to arrest GWB and Cheney to take them to The Hague? Comrade Obama has already gone a good ways towards UN “law enforcement” authority in the US with his friendly relations with Interpol. As long as the US pretends to be a sovereign nation, NO elected or appointed official should EVER be extradited to a foreign country. If they want one, they can conquer us and pry the object our of the rubble.
The most important distinction I see between the alleged international “war crimes” of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al, is that they were acting in good faith within the parameters of US law. There is no parallel between their lawful actions in a declared war and the unlawful actions of the Fast and Furious gunrunning into Mexico for no other reason than to concoct justification for elimination of a cherished Constitutional right. Yes, Holder needs to swing in MX, but not until he is removed from the protection of the office he hides behind.
elephant4life -
While our participation in the 2003 Mid East Fiasco was not actually a “declared war”, Dubya did have the approval of Congress before beginning hostilities against Hussein and his boys, Date Rape Twins.
Other than that little Nit, I agree.
Art Chance –
Who is accusing Dub of “war crimes” by the way? Oh yes! The likes of Rosie “Fire can’t melt steel” O’Donnell, Janeane “I’m a tattooed SKANK who can’t act so I’ve
become a political whore” Garofalo, and every other leftist Democrat (sorry for repeating myself).
The UN is, as history shows, a paper tiger. They talk big, but when it comes to actually doing something, who do they look to? The U.S. of A, the Brits and the Aussies. Nobody else in the “community” has the cojones to start the dance. The blue helmeted rapists from the UN couldn’t make it past Mr. & Mrs. Bush’s SS detail to even try to take him in custody. The boys and girls from the Treasury would consider the attempt range time.
Small point of information: MX does not have the death penalty, however WE DO and he is clearly guilty of at LEAST two counts of conspiracy to commit murder of a federal officer, which is a capitol offense. And if we can get him to sing against Obama to prevent him getting the needle we can hang his arse as well. However Obama will issue a blanket pardon to any and all members past and present of his administration before that were to happen. So then the question is, can a sitting president who is indicted on a federal crime pardon his co-conspirators in order to shut them up?
I’m pretty sure that the Marc Rich pardon was also along that line –Rich was a fugitive, not convicted in court.
Along that line, it made no news here, but that BP CEO who flubbed his PR so badly during the big Gulf of Mexico spill, Tony Hayward, recently left BP to enter partnership with Nathan Rothschild, in an exploration deal funded at $2.5 billion to start.
Rothschild is a longtime Rich partner –now prominently in Marc Rich’s Glencore, which recently bought a $20 billion Caspian area commodity company, Kazakhstan something or other.
Marc Rich is also the last person Bernie Madoff went to visit twice after his troubles began –just before trial, and just before surrendering to start prison.
Check out the machinations Holder had to step through in order to get that pardon. Yes Clinton ordered it, but that too was Holder handiwork.
Lotsa strings here –
Oh yes, one other item worth mentioning in this surface-skim comment: Rothschild also controls McGraw-Hill, which owns Standard & Poor’s –if you recall, the ratings agency whose downgrade of US debt collapsed our markets back in August (and no doubt bailed out many a dark-pool short).
You know, back in Ian Fleming’s day, someone would’ve sent James Bond and his Walther PPK after somebody or two.
Anyhoo, if anyone ever unwinds Eric Holder’s doings, well –it will be a story alright.
And don’t forget Marc Rich’s connections to the Red Mafia and participation in OFF, really the man and his organization was hip deep in some of the worst sorts for years.
That’s some good research, AJ. The Marc Rich concentration is in the last third or so of the piece, i mention as it is a long report.
I have something to add to it; I’ll do so tomorrow when i’m not so tard.
If the White house people want to cover the thing up, about the only person alive who actually knows how to do that is Hillary, . . . and of course, they’ve thought of that but, the plain reason as to why they don’t turn it over to her is that, she would require her turn seated at the desk in the Oval office, and they already other plans for that; so, . . . what to do, . . . hm-m-m-m, . . .
Hillarious
They really do think they can get away with gun running. What idiots. When a murder is committed ( and in this case many many have been ) it never goes away. It follows everyone involved around for the rest of their lives. It NEVER goes away.
These morons think if they distract us and obfuscate and lie and cover up that it will just go away, and it aint gonna.
I really think they have something up their sleeve. How could they be so stupid as to think that thousands of combat grade guns and explosives could be run to the mexican cartels by the US government, using tax payer money, and not be found out? Could a person that intellectually deficient even breath on their own? I think they have an alternate plan to evade the consequences. Thinking what that might be gives me chills.
Speaking of which, I can find no story on PJMedia about the Feds Nov. 9 testing of the EBS that will take over all forms of electronic communication for four minutes; at least that is the rumor I heard. I have not yet had time to check it out. Anyone have any info?
I’m a contract employee of DHS. It is true there will be a first-ever test of a National Emergency Broadcast notification system. It’s supposed to be similar to your local Emergency broadcast tests, but there may be flaws in the code and the indication that this is a test might go unexplained.
It will be performed at 1pm CST and it will be on all TV and radio bands. It will run for 3 minutes.
http://blog.dhs.gov/2011/10/fema-blog-emergency-alert-system-test.html
Whoa, hold your horses there, LaSuthenboy. It’s not taking over the communications. It’s a test of the new EAS sytem (Emergency Alert System). This new system will be Internet based, as opposed to the system we all had in the past, which was that the Feds sent a signal to one local station, which in theory rebroadcast that signal out on radio to all the other stations, which in theory received and rebroadcast it. In practice, it never worked very well. This test is for a new system that we all get a signal at the same time through the Internet. We all had to install a new kind of receiving machine that is a glorified Internet stream box. They are putting a test file onto a server that we all connect to, download, and air. I work in a large radio network, so I know what I’m talking about. You seriously need to go digging for conspiracies somewhere else.
“The test will not use the new CAP-based alerting technology.”
http://www.nab.org/xert/scitech/2011/TVTechCheck/TV101711.asp
Lol.
What “large radio network” do you work for, “InMyMind?”
Whoa yourself Jose. I think I made it clear that I didnt know what the EBS test was all about and asked for information.
I dont have to dig anywhere else for wild conspiracy theories. Have you heard about ‘Fast and Furious’? Apparently some conspiracy nuts are saying that the Obama DOJ has been running guns by the thousands to the Mexican drug cartels. They say there are multiple federal agencies involved and that now the Attorney General himself is covering it up. They also claim that hundreds of people have died as a result of this operation. They even say Sec Clinton and even the President of the united states was in on it. All of it done as a pretense for attacking gun rights in the US. How crazy is that? Who would come up with such a nutty conspiracy theory?
Oh, wait. All of that actually did happen. Considering that, I dont think it is too much of a stretch to say that they may also want control of communications. Oh, wait..they already said they did via Mark Lloyd. My fear, and what I was asking about is that this may give them means to do so. I dont have the technical knowledge to say.
let’s think about this for a moment: “…It’s a test of the new EAS sytem (Emergency Alert System). This new system will be Internet based, … We all had to install a new kind of receiving machine that is a glorified Internet stream box. They are putting a test file onto a server that we all connect to, download… WHOOOP WHOOOP WHOOOP WHOOOP…and McAfee and Norton will never detect it.
I think I will make sure all of my ‘puters are off that afternoon? Just sayin…..
Good combination. The end game brings clarity. Resignation in a few moves, I reckon.
So our elected representatives can only request but not demand!
as for getting the story noticed…
it’s worth a question, or two, at the next gop debate.
big bonus for rick perry:
if someone was killed in your state by one of the wandering weapons, wouldn’t you have the right, or DUTY, to find out who, what, when, where, and why?
our biggest problem is that the federal organization that is in charge of investigating a criminal matter, is also a co-conspirator in the crime AND denying it happened. a state investigation into the matter appears to be the only ‘honest’ forum for finding the truth.
letting the fact that the doj ‘sequestered’ a primary witness should be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
c’mon perry, this like t-ball with a watermelon. batter up.
I agree. Whatever his flaws, Perry should totally own support the 2nd Amendment as an issue. He should be pounding Obama and Hillary on this hard.
you know, i didn’t get that far in reasoning, but you are quite correct about perry and the 2nd amendment. i’ve never heard him speak on it though…
he’s looking for a method to kick romney’s teeth in at the debates, and romney’s ‘hunting trip’ is well worth an ‘honest’ laugh. it isn’t that there is a big 2nd amendment fanbase, but it does bleed into conservatism, at large.
definitely falls along the lines of building a coalition. maybe once he gets done building(and learning) his tax plan…
not a huge perry fan, but, objectively, he is just starting to hit his ‘swagger’. IF he comes back, he will have learned a lot more than any other candidate out there.
According to reports perry never intervened when the border guards were charged and put in jail and he hasn’t with this border guard who happened to raise a drug dealers/transporters arms too hight and the mexican gov’t complained and the guard gets 2 years. His wife has written and called perry and he’s never responded. So don’t get your hopes up.
When did Perry get the ability to issue federal pardons? especially since he can’t issue pardons as TX gov?
I think the 2nd Amendment should be a core issue to (conservatives/libertarians/ constitutionalists). As a dangerous radical once said: “The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” - Thomas Jefferson . I don’t advocate violence in any form, but sadly, the existence of a well-informed, well-armed 55% of the electorate seems to be a last psychological counter to what looks to be an increasingly lawless administration. I’m not too worried, because I’m pretty sure my ex-brothers in the military are never going to be on board with any attempted Obama/ Democrat /OWS / Marxist Revolution. I’ll just be here petting my cat, drinking vodka, minding my own business and standing by to embrace my Constitutional Rights under the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments.
Keep up the great work and investigation. This Soviet style of corruption in our government is appalling. I hope there are charges brought against all those involved in this cover-up! Holder being #1.
NO! obama is #1 in this deal.
Can’t some of these underlings be patriots and blow the big wistle?
It just makes you sick. I wonder if O’Reilly has a wife and family here, or if they’ve been sent to some other G-d forsaken country.
Be careful Kevin, it’s a minefield out there.
Oh what a tangled web we weave…!
Such a profound thought put into words, are you a poet or something?
“…When first we practice to deceive!”
Sir Walter Scott
When I read that as a child, I thought it meant that lying leads inevitably to a tangled web of deceit. I still think that’s true, but I also see a first level reading of “liars get better, and their webs of deceit more seamless, with practice”. Don’t forget that the master liar behind all this has fooled the best of us for millennia.
Department Of Justice Rule Change Would Deny Documents Exist, Even When They Do
http://www.care2.com/causes/department-of-justice-rule-change-would-deny-documents-exist-even-when-they-do.html#ixzz1bv9vxCKH
“The Department of Justice is proposing a rule change to the Freedom of Information Act that would allow agencies to tell people requesting certain national security or law-enforcement related documents- that those records don’t exist. Even if they do.”
The practice is actually already in existence. Known as a Glomar denial, it allows government agencies to withhold information and issue a denial that says it can neither confirm nor deny the existence of the requested records. The Glomar denial allows the government to maintain a privilege around certain records while not circumventing, even incidentally, the requester’s ability to later sue for confirmation that the records don’t exist or to force disclosure.
This revelation is going to blow the door wide open and could possibly implicate Obama himself in the Fast & Furious fiasco.
Remember Vince Foster? Some say he killed himself. Some say he was assassinated by the Clinton administration in attempt to cover up Whitewater and/or Travel-gate atrocities. It would be highly unfortunate if after finding Kevin O’Reilly is indeed a crucial “piece to the puzzle” regarding Fast & Furious, that he suddenly disappeared or is found dead in the Iraq war zone cross-hairs – killed by an unknown assailant? – never able to testify regarding the tragedy unfolding in America called Fast & Furious. Which could theoretically end up ruining the political careers and lives of several personnel within the Obama administration, including AG Eric Holder and possibly even Barack Obama himself.
Kevin O’Reilly may indeed be the key in solving “who knew what, and when” in the Fast & Furious debacle. Not only could AG Eric Holder be found culpable for criminal intent and as an accessory to murder, but Barack Hussein Obama himself could also be found culpable and may be forced to resign from the presidency when all is said and done. Or upon his refusal to resign, he could be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors or possibly even for treason against the United States of America.
Providing weapons to America’s enemies i.e. to the Mexican Drug Cartels, is cause for impeachment, in my opinion. If indeed Obama gave the okay for the operation to proceed that is. Plus, hundreds of innocent lives have been lost because of Eric Holder’s abhorrent decision to implement Fast & Furious (or his refusal to stop it once he did find out about it – if it’s found out Holder didn’t know about it originally – which is highly unlikely by the way); including the lives of American citizens such as Border Patrol agent Brian A. Terry, who lost his life from a weapon tied to Fast & Furious as we’ve come to find out.
It will be very interesting to see how Kevin O’Reilly plays into all of this. If he is indeed a major “cog” in the Fast & Furious debacle, he must then give an account to Congress for his part in it, so that justice may be served. That is, if he actually makes it back to the United States alive to testify. Vince Foster 2.0? Let’s hope not.
10. West
He’s definitely getting the Vince Foster treatment.
This is the Hope&Change! that you voted for.
This morning, Richardson called again. He received a prerecorded message saying “this number is not in service.”
It’s just a matter of time…
I do admit to being a bit nervous that they now have my personal cell phone number, but then, I suspect I’ve been on a watch list since I p*ssed off the head of the FDIC a year ago.
I’m a little unclear on why Issa can’t subpoena O’Reilly.
My bet is that he will return in a body bag.
Uhhhhh….maybe someone ought to try that phone number again.
I’m a little unclear on why Issa can’t supoena O’Reilly
I want to clear something up, unlike the little sheep that voted for this fool, I WAS NOT ONE OF THEM. I vote on merit not what TOTUS tells me.
silver lining…
every generation needs it’s ‘carter’.
although obama is going to take the mantle from carter for the rest of our country’s natural history. experience is the best of teachers. maybe we needed an obama experience, at least for the long haul.
(as for guaging their relative positions, carter had a 55% disapproval rating when he left office. 8/30 obama was at a 53.2% in polling averages.)
it tempers my criticism of the fools who voted for him. some people have to touch the hot plate, even when you advise them not to.
Yes. Obama has had me reminiscing with some fondness the Carter days. Sure, we had “stagflation” and spectacular foreign policy blunders, but I always felt he had good intentions (and was my first role model for “the road to Hell is paved with good intentions), we never worried about “black helicopters” at home, and I appreciated his alcohol free White House (Proverbs 31:4,5 – It is not for kings, O Lemuel — not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, lest they drink and forget what the law decrees, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights). After his presidency, he spends more time with a hammer for “Habitat for Humanity” than politicking (although his politicking is still brain-dead liberal).
How long before we find out (leaked) that the ATF was being paid in drugs that were shipped directly to Blck surburbs (almost a Pun).
O’Reilly wrote on Sept. 3, 2010 “The arrow chart is really interesting — and — no surprise — implies at least that different (Drug Trafficking Organizations) in Mexico have very different and geographically distinct networks in the US for acquiring guns.
Didn’t it depend on which Federal agency was clearing the straw-buyers to get the guns for them?
With apologies to Monty python:
Mr. Pither: You are Rear Admiral Sir Dudley Compton?
Chinaman: No. He die. He have heart attack and fell out of window onto exploding bomb, and was killed in shooting accident.
Either reporter Richardson or columnist Steinberg needs to post a follow up on the state of life for the family members of Mr. O’Reilly. Introduce the public, in a respectful way, to his wife and family, or his parents and siblings. For his own protection, this guy needs an extra element of his life to be elevated to the public’s consciousness. Such a twist might be just what’s needed to pull him from the shadows and prevent him from ending up like Jack Wheeler—a real American hero. His murder last December was among the most underreported events in the country. A member of the storied West Point class of 1966, found dead of blunt head trauma in a Wilmington Delaware dumpster.
This almost reminds me of days from long long ago when there were people who did stuff call reportage or reportals or reporting, something like that, but it’s so ancient now that I can’t quite remember the name of it.
Now if PJ Media knows where it’s bread is butter it will get back to publicizing white house press releases and counting the jobs that this administration has saved.
The scope of this lawless disregard expands by the day.
How long before obama and holder resort to killing American’s directly who are a threat to their power?
The killing has already taken place with Border Agent Terry’s murder with a number of the thousands of weapons obama and holder provided Mexican criminals.
Not to mention hundreds of Mexicans.
If these two traitors, obama and holder, can be responsible for these deaths with compunction and conscience, it is only a matter of time before you and I become targets for liquidation.
Fourth question for The White House-
Ever hear of SKYPE?
Kudos for the great work, Patrick.(I guess everyone at the WaPo is too busy writing smear jobs to — you know– actually do some real reporting.)
Obummer, on his way out, may well pardon his partners in crime. However, he has no power to protect them, or himself for that matter, from Mexican justice. It would be great to see a Mexican firing squad meting justice to the lot of them. I would hope that the next administration would be willing to extradite people who have ignored their oath of office to participate in criminal conspiracy.
Will our Chief Executive allow the Mexican government to dictate the punishment for these deadly crimes? Border Agent Diaz will serve two years in prison for improperly handcuffing a 15 year old Mexican drug traffic mule. Holder and his minions could be in prison forever if the punishment fits the crime. It will be interesting to see which of the guilty ones becomes a rat to save his sorry behind.
This is a great article, but it is flawed by uncritical quoting of an Obama talking point at the end of the CBS report:
…“Wide Receiver.” Sources claim ATF allowed guns to “walk” in that operation, much like Fast and Furious.
In WIDE RECEIVER, ATF allowed known straw purchasers to acquire some guns in the Phoenix area, knowing the guns would be taken to Mexico. But – those guns were tagged with RFID devices so they could be tracked, and ATF agents trailed the buyers. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. The RFIDs couldn’t be consistently detected, and some failed through being installed clumsily. The buyers didn’t go straight to Mexico, they went to “safe houses”, where the guns could be passed to other carriers out of sight. When these problems became apparent, WIDE RECEIVER was halted.
In other words, WIDE RECEIVER was an honest though failed attempt to do what FAST AND FURIOUS claimed to be doing. Similar – except that in F&F, the guns were not tagged and agents were forbidden to trail the buyers, so F&F never had any possibility of succeeding in its alleged purpose.
Also, the number of guns which “walked” in WR was far smaller than in F&F.
In fact, Sharyl Attkisson has not differentiated those two operations well in her reporting. I don’t know whether she’s confused, inattentive, trying too hard to look objective, or mindlessly anti-Bush in this regard.
PJM: “We would like to speak with Kevin O’Reilly”
WH: “Oh, really?”
PJM: “O’Reilly”
WH: “Alrighty!”
PJM: “All ready?”
WH: ” Iraqi”
PJM: “He ran?”
WH: “Neighbor country”
PJM: “Not Iran, apparently he is no longer running his gums”
WH: “We don’t know anything about running any guns”
PJM: “We hope you change your mind”
WH: “Hope and change, now you are on the right track”
YAWN!!!! Again, for any of you Cheneyites who want to listen, this whole “Gunwalker” thing is a total non-starter. The fact that the Mainstream Neocon Press (“MNP”) keeps changing the name of this non-event betrays the meekness of it all. This scam of a story won’t make a difference to your chances in 2012, whether it’s called “Gunwalker” or “Fast and Furious” or “Bush Did the Same Thing”. It’s a joke. Nobody cares. And the absolutely obvious fact that gives the boat away is that you Cheney-Freaks (“CF’s”) are supposed to be all about easy and open access to guns. YOU’RE BETRAYING YOURSELVES! And for the record, I’m against private ownership of all semi-automatic .44 magnum revolvers, and similarly modeled rifles. It’s all such Chuck Norris tough guy garbage. Grow up and read some Nietzche. Prunes….
Drop the crack pipe, and step slowly away. The existence of mouth-breathing idiots like you, in America, who are still allowed to vote, is why I drink too much. You can put a grammatically correct sentence together, so I’ll mark you down as a liberal useful idiot with some degree education (you might consider reading some history to round out your education). Your Marxist god is getting voted out in 2012 mostly because he is dumber than my house cat, and you will be remembered as just one of his many clueless tools by history.
Frankly, Earthy, I’m disappointed. Your parody is a bit too shrill today; your (usually) nuanced tone is entirely absent, and your art suffers for its lack. Perhaps you can recover next week?
Yeah, but for non-gun people it’s no so obvious I suppose.
methinks o’reilly will die suddenly of an acute case of lead poisoning
Obama witholding key witnesses from Congress???? NO!!! From “the most transparent administration in history”? This cannot be! Next thing you know they will be making laws behind closed doors, breaking disclosure laws on WH visits, and not putting bills on the Internet before the public can read them!!! :O0
Innocent people died because of this heinous act and I shan’t gloat over PJM exposing these sick F*cks but I truly appreciate all of the sleuthing PJM has done to keep this in the headlines and to keep the fire under the feet of those who were involved.
Delia writes: “Innocent people died because of this heinous act…”
Where were you when Cheney was personally kicking 1000 pound cluster bombs out of B-52′s over Iraqi pre-schools? Talk about heinous acts that killed innocents. Jeezz.
LovelyEarth feints to the left, running down the sidelines, reaching up for the ball, makes the catch and … steps off the field licking a tastee freeze.
I wonder how many innocents are killed with our new policy of dropping bombs on any target? Funny how the msm never tries to find out!
LovelyDearth,
I bet you are pro-abortion.
Funny how when ‘your side’ does the killing (without a trial or due process) it’s A-OKAY!
I’m not for ANYONE killing innocent people if it can be avoided. War is not one of those things. This was not ‘war’. This was purposeful mayhem brought about by some Marxist/Commie thugs who thought they could bring about ‘change’ by killing some people with our own guns.
TOTAL FAIL
Now that they are busted, the cheese-brains think they can squirm their way out of this.
Now I have to bleach my nose hairs to rinse the stench of your vile, commie armpits out of my nostrils.
I guess it would appear to be too suspicious to simply kill the man. Still … radical Islam does owe Barry a favor or two … Kevin, if I were you, I would hop a camel train to Tehran and beg mercy from the ayatollahs.
Can you say, Ron Brown?
Speculation:O’Reilly will be kidnapped, then the regime will say “We don’t negotiate with terrorists”. Then the retreat in Iraq will take place and O’Reilly will then appear on the internet on a jihadi website being threatened by hooded figures. What happens after that is anyone’s guess, but it won’t be good…for him. Suggestion: Now if he comes in from the cold, he might survive until 2012. O’Reilly…get smart and get outta there!
It took a blogger, for some reason most of the “mainstream” media seems to be doing a “Sgt. Schulz.” As in “I know nothing, I see nothing, I hear nothing!” CBS has mono guts pushing on with the investigation given the wall of silence so many have up on this, and they are to be commended. Also, however, the bloggers must be commended, they are rushing in and reporting where a lot of others are not. With luck the bloggers and the mainstream reporters nad news agencies who have had the courage to pursue this will uncover the truth and hopefully prevent more lives from being lost, and uncover the truth as to what happened.
“The previous occupants of the Director, INL-Iraq position — Joe Manso and Francisco Palmieri — were not considered “unreachable” to press or government access”
For the past several years, I have served as an advisor to U.S. Army commanders in Iraq and Afghanistan at ecehlons from division to platoon. UNCLASS internet access is easily available to commanders and staff, even at those echelons and in those conditions. It is even more available to a pampered senior civilian executive in Baghdad. You are correct to call BS on this lameness…
BTW, I’m sending this from a battalion level facility in Eastern Afghanistan …

At least until this is shut down/changed
…about halfway down into the ajacksonian piece linked @ #11′s reply list:

21. Norinco and Poly Technology (Poly Group). Northern Industrial Corporation (Norinco) and Poly Technologies (a subsidiary of Poly Group) are both owned by China and under the control of CITIC. They have subsidies around the world, including Canada (Montreal) and the United States. Poly Group was until recently head by Deng Xiaoping’s son-in-law, He Ping, and is part of the entrepreneurial drive of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Several large quantities of arms manufactured by Norinco have been confiscated on Indian reserves, especially those of the Mohawks. In May 1996, US authorities what they described as the biggest arms seizure on American soil, confiscating 2,000 AK-47assault rifles and other military weapons from a warehouse in California. The US-based Chinese representatives of Poly Technologies and Norinco were arrested in connection with this affair. Although the final destination of the arms has not been determined, the Amerindians “Warriors” and American militia trails are strongly suspected by US authorities. (S)
Those mid-1990′s were a rockin’ time!

…ah, yes, almost forgot about the Clinton/Reno/Holder troubles with them ‘right-wing militias’. Lucky for us we had Clinton/Reno/Holder protecting us!
PS
…counting Eric Holder’s private-practice defense of Chiquita Banana’s smuggling of military arms to both sides (commie narcoterrorist FARC vs some ‘right-wing’ oppo) of a bloody jungle war in Colombia –apparently in order to keep the Chiquita area clear of competitors –the number of similar cases in Holder’s resume approach some sort of definition of pathology.
The ‘fireman/arsonist’ syndrome, say, except, since the clinical cases aren’t performing along any professional career line, maybe Holder is only acting like one of ‘em. This would be a switch from the normal, as in a sick person usually acts normal, rather than the other way around.
Maybe, just maybe, they will hang themselves. I am still wondering what happened to JP Wheeler? I am just saying that with all this underhanded stuff going on what if it is all related? We know that with every adminisration there seems to be some secretes that never get out, just supsicion, but this administration seems to have more than most I have seen in my lifetime, unless you account for when Edgar Hoover was around.
Move on, Nothing to see here!! What?, you don’t believe us? Give me your name for the IRS!
I am throughly please SOMEONE in the media is investigating this administration. Imagine what illegal crap would be dug-up, if the entire news media did their job, instead of cheer leading for OBOZO
In the end, the message these people want you to understand is the Lavrenti Beria message:
“Only we can protect you from us”
i doubt Kevin O’Reilly will ever make it back to the USA alive, his knowledge of the Obama’s administration corruption is a death sentence. Eric Holder wants him to vaporize…
Just remember, Eric Holder has many reasons to believe that there is nothing he can’t ‘ride out’.
Why doesn’t Issa supena him? This is not rocket science! Get him under oath and he will spill ALL THE BEANS HE KNOWS!!
–my guess is that he’s stonewall on ‘national security’ –and with the record closed on his testimony, the fire would go out of a far-from-finished investigation. The corks would pop in the West Wing, as the gang beats another rap.
Can you say … Vince Foster?
