(BREAKING) Iran: ‘We Have No Option but to Destroy Israel’
In reaction to the recent assassination of Iranian scientist Dariush Rezaiinejad, chief commander of the Basij Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Naghdi stated:
The main plot for this criminal act was conceived by the American government, and since it is scared of the reaction by the Muslim world due to the uprisings in the region, it had the Zionist regime commit the heinous act.
…
AdvertisementIn order to protect the security of our country, we have no option but to have the Zionist regime wiped off the map.
Naghdi, who was born in Iraq, was a member of the Iranian Quds Force involved in international terrorism before he was appointed by Ayatollah Khamenei to the post of commander of the Basij in 2009. He has previously threatened to assassinate American generals in retaliation for the killings of the Iranian nuclear scientists.
Last Saturday, the Iranian scientist was gunned down outside his home in Tehran by assailants on a motorcycle. Since then, the state-owned Iranian media has sent out conflicting reports: first, that the scientist was a physicist involved in Iran’s nuclear program; later, that he was just a student studying for a master’s degree in electricity.
Iran’s Fars News Agency, operated by the Revolutionary Guards, claimed that the scientist was one of the researchers working on electric detonators which can be used on missiles or nuclear bombs. They stated that it was because of this activity that he was assassinated by the enemy.
The reaction by Iranian officials indicates that the slain scientist was an integral and important part of the Iranian nuclear bomb program. Said Tehran Governor General Morteza Tamadon to reporters during Dariush Rezaiinejad’s funeral procession in Tehran:
Undoubtedly, this was an American-Israeli project against our intellectuals and thinkers, with the aim of discouraging the Iranian nation from continuing the path it has taken.

From this I surmise that Iran’s leadership believes it’s time to proceed against Israel. Whether that’s because Iran has somehow acquired weapons of mass destruction, or because Iran’s supremos feel they must embark on a foreign adventure to quell the swelling popular resentment of the regime, only time will tell.
Israel cannot sit still for this. The Israelis will raise their military readiness, perhaps go to a state of partial mobilization. But this is not without its costs. A nation expends a great deal of money and energy attaining and maintaining a mobilized state. All by itself, if the tension is protracted sufficiently, it could put an unbearable strain on Israel’s resources. The Israelis might soon need our help.
We just might be about to discover whether the Obama Administration has sold Israel to the Devil.
Why, of course he has already done as you have suggested. Look what he did in the name of the United States on the northeast coastline of Africa surrounding Israel.
The Bible reads Persia will be destroyed, and nothing will destroy the reborn state of Israel. Although, it does read Israel will be invaded, but not defeated in the end times.
Let us watch, and see who is correct. The moon god worshiping terrorist and company murdering in the name of a Allah, or the G-d of Noah, Moses, and Abraham who died for mankind.
Just as an aside, the proper interpretation of references to “the new Israel” in Scripture (following the 72 AD destruction by the Romans) is to the Christian Church. In reality, nothing in Scripture calls for the actual existence of the State of Israel.
Actually Paul, that is YOUR interpretation not the proper one. Many Chirstian scholars beleive that The new Israel was formed right after WWII, May 14 1948. Nowhere in the Bible does it say the the Church is to replace the Jews as Gods chosen people. Christians need to support the Jews and Israel so that they may see that Jesus has come and died for their sins.
Paul of Alexandria,
I challenge you to quote one single Scripture of “the new Israel” that you reference. Unfortunately, you are regurgitating the lies you have been told
and apparently didn’t even take the time to research yourself to see if true.
It is this incorrect teaching that leads to the costly mistake of what is called “Replacement Theology”, where somehow the Biblical Israel is mysteriously replaced with this “New” Israel that you refer to. G-d himself says in Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” That was a promise that has never been rescinded. Turn your back on Israel at your own risk, and stop believing the spoon-fed garbage without researching it yourself first!
Actualy, the person who responded to you about Israel is CORRECT and YOU are mistaken. Think of what you are saying. You are saying that WE, the arrogant, pride filled “church” of Christ is going to REPLACE Yeshua’s Pride, His Heritage, ISRAEL. Do you not see how arrogant this is? I must ask, are you a Jehovah’s Witness? Because if you are, then my plea if for you to come up out of the darkness of the poisoned denomination you’ve entered into. It is written that we (the church of Christ) are the branch that has been “grafted in” to the vine that IS Israel – and that we can EASILY be removed. It is written that when Yeshua returns, He is going to make war with all the nations that have divided up His land, and have scattered His People, His Heritage, Israel. You are looking for a specific phrase, “The New Israel”, when you should actually simply be studying the entire Scripture – over and over and over – until you understand the last days, and all these things that it appears you’ve been misled on… I say all of this only out of love and compassion for you – Israel is, was, and always WILL be The LORD’s chosen people. Please see and understand this! Many blessings be upon you all!
Romans 9:6b ‘For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel…’
Galatians 6:16 ‘And those who will walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.’
Romans 2:28,29 ‘For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh. 29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.’
Taking the whole counsel of Scripture together it does seem that the ‘Israel of God’, the ‘Jew who is one inwardly’ refers to the true Church, those who are saved by grace through faith in Jesus and His saving work on the cross. Therefore it is at least plausible that any prophecies referring to ‘Israel’ or ‘the Jews’ that are due to take place in the future would refer not to the current nation-state of Israel or to some body of ‘genetically’ Jewish people, but to the Christian Church.
At the same time, at the very least geopolitically, we are nuts if we don’t strongly support Israel.
One passage about apostate Jews, does not necessarily negate prophesies about the nation of Israel.
It’s obvious that Letherneck is a dispensationist. Many, if not most, are not. How many Catholics are there in the world? I seem to remember something like 1.5 billion. How many Anglicans? How many Protestists that are decidedly not dispensationists?
@Leatherneck
@Paul of Alexandria
You’re all wrong. First of all, scripture has been mutilated over the years. In recent times by dispensationalism via the Darby Bible and later the Scofield Reference Bible. There was no rapture before the Darby bible. The Book of Revelation is pretty blasphemous and was probably stuck on the end of the canon as a hoax.
The modern militarized sociopathic apartheid fascist state of Israel does not fulfill end time prophecies. If you think it does, please remove yourself from our gene pool. You could interpret references to the chosen land being the entire world or heaven if you want. The fertile crescent/cradle of civilization was the entire known world when it was written.
The story of Noah’s Ark is plagiarized from Utnapishtim (the Gilgamesh flood) from Sumerian/Mesopotamian sources. Read “The Gods of Eden” for an interesting write up of how many religions are based on the same thing and are interpretations of historical events. For example, when you say “Amen” at the end of a prayer you are actually reciting the name of an Egyptian ‘invisible’ monotheist god. Fringe stuff aside, the book basically says god is man. There is no chosen people or chosen land.
Anybody using violence and military force to accomplish ‘prophecy’ needs to be wiped off the face of the planet. Religion is all garbage. Maybe there is truth behind the fringe stuff in the Gods of Eden. In that case we should all identify these ‘gods’ like Jehovah/YHWA if they’re still around and kill them. Kill the ruling class, save the world. Save your soul. The truth will set you free. Lucifer isn’t a demon either. Extremists of all kinds GTFO
Well, at least it’s refreshing to hear the Iranians accusing the U.S. of terrorism. It’s kind of like Hitler accusing England of gassing Jews.
Does anyone really believe it ends in anything but this?
Of course not! There is no way to believe that we are not heading to glass factories when we canNOT even enunciate a reason for acting anywhere! A Constitutional Republic with the most divinely inspired Constitution and Bill of Rights can’t figure out why we shouldn’t be sending tax dollars to tyrannts that don’t support the foundational rights to freedom of speech and religion. Therefore, we must fight! No sense arguing on the ideology of freedom and letting their islamist regime rot from it’s rotten guts trying to defend their anti-freedom policies. ONLY smoke with clear the air!
Leatherneck, are you suggesting that our leadership use the Bible as their strategic guide to foreign policy? I don’t know PJ comment threads are littered with Biblical counters to today’s terrorism. The only way conservatives will tip the balance towards the center is convincing the Indies and biblical logic is hardly the measure by which we judge….
Iran can go hide their manufacturing machines in their deepest facilities. They underestimate the EPWs hiding in our black boxes. They will have to cut off their scientists from outside contact, but there are so many who hate the regime, it is going to be hard. This will not end well…
http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2011/07/25/u-s-iran-naval-skirmish-on-the-horizon/
This whole thing would be an almost humorous exercise for the Navy if it weren’t for two things:
1) The Iranians really believe what they’re saying, and that we’re weak/indecisive enough (or the President is) that they could get away with it. (See, for instance, http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/iran-america-too-depleted-to-attack-even-if-we-make-the-bomb/).
2) Behind Iran – and supplying them with weapons – is China, who deeply desires to take us down a peg or two.
With that vacuous Sock Puppet in the Oval Office, I doubt we do have the resolve -where it counts- to do anything of substance against Iran.
I cant believe these idiots really believe that the US and Israel would really give a rats’ patootie about a guy studying to be an electrical engineer that might, someday, come up with an idea to make an electrical trigger for a nuclear bomb.
I have no idea who really shot him, maybe he said something about somebodys’ sister, good or bad, it doesn’t matter over there, and they decided to do an honor killing. I really cant see the US or Israel going to all the trouble of assassinating him knowing full well they would get the blame for it. Maybe he mentioned to somebody that maybe the Great Satan wasn’t really so bad after all or that he thought he might like to visit the US someday. That could scare the Mullahs enough to have him shot for doubting their word.
I have no idea who really shot him, maybe he said something about somebodys’ sister, good or bad, it doesn’t matter over there, and they decided to do an honor killing
I have no idea who killed him either, but my guess is that either the regime killed him themselves because they thought he was a security threat and blamed Israel so they could get a two for one deal, or some youngsters who got sodomized by the basij are settling scores. I base my guesses on the following evidence:
1) the IRI is incapable of making factual statements
2) If the US was capable of assassinating VIPs in downtown Tehran at will (and there have been quite a few assassinations lately) then we wouldn’t even be having this discussion because Mohammad-Reza Naghdi would be in the ground.
As far as the threatening language, making absurd “we’re the victim!” claims followed by over-the-top acts of violence against innocent and defenseless human beings has been the standard operating procedure of this regime and has been for over 30 years. They behave like rabid dogs, and we all know how rabid dogs need to be treated.
It seems reasonable to think that Iran might want to move all it’s nuclear scientists to a safe, prison-type atmosphere where they could be pressured for more/faster progress. Why not assasinate an electrical engineering student and claim he was really a nuclear scientist? Then you’ve got: 1)a reason that you have to wipe Isreal off the map 2)an easy answer to why you’re putting the scientists in protective custody.
I like the way you think. It makes as much sense as anything else at this time.
Besides which, I’m still stunned at the apparent ease with which shooters seem to be able to disappear…in Iran. How does that work? Here’s another take. Say you’re in charge of a segment of Iran’s nuclear program. You tell your superiors that things are moving along swimmingly but they’re not, and aren’t likely to any time soon. The death of one of your cohorts is certainly an excuse not to meet deadline. Takes the idea that bureaucracies are self-perpetuating to a whole new level.
Iran is a Muslim rabbit hole.
A friend of mine worked in Iran for over 20 years before the Shah left, long enough to speak the language with a local accent. According to him, Iranians lie with the same ease and frequency that you draw breath.
You have to watch what they do and pay no attention to what they say.
Ya mean, like democrats?
(H/T to Mr Bob Hope)
If Israel decides to preemptively strike Iran, I hope they target the ayatollahs in Qom in addition to any other targets.
We didn’t end WWII by targeting Bittburg, we targeted Berlin and Hitler. the same issue with Libya, target Quadaffi. If it’s ok to targets privates and sargents, and privates, it’s ok to target the guy directing them.
Like China, Iran has an overabundance of males to dispose of..
Yeah, Suthenboy has it exactly right about Iranians and it can be extended to ALL Muslims because they are commanded to deceive the vile kafir and that’s everyone who is not a Muslim.
I will gladly provide citations from the Koran, hadith, and Sira for Muslims, dhimmis, and general libtards who deny such proof exists.
Cynthia McKinney must have emboldened Iran just GI Jane did.
A couple of years back, I heard a U.S. retired general say that we could entirely eliminate the Iranian military, by air, in only 6 1/2 hours. No boots on the ground. Just smart bombs. You can use your imagination from there about how we might deal with Iran’s deep-bunker nuke programs.
Don’t worry Iran! You’ve got a friend in the Obama administration. Those NASA scientists don’t need to be laid off. BHO can send them to help rebuild Iran’s nuclear program as an example of Muslim outreach. And when Iran does bomb Israel, Obozo will send joe Biden with a cheap condolence card for the dead Jews. And the Muslim world will CELEBRATE. At this point nothing would surprise me. America is being run by idiots (liberal democrats to be specific) and the world knows it.
Time for Israel to launch against Iran. Overtime actually.
Israel is fully capable of launching a preemptive attack. There are a few things that are holding her back. First is the Obama administration. An attack by Israel would trigger Iranian reprisal that would shut off all the oil flow from the gulf area. They have literally thousands of anti-ship missiles plus have added the swarm technique to attack ships, this does not even consider the act of mining the gulf or using its air-force to intercept shipping. The economy of the entire world would come to a stand still. All that aside, in the last Lebanon war, Hezbollah was armed with about 10,000 missiles. In effect, they tore northern Israel apart with those missiles. Now they have an estimated 50,000 missiles many of which are more accurate and have more range (they can just about cover all of Israel). One of the missiles they now have is the scud with a two ton payload and range to hit anywhere in Israel. Imagine now a direct missile hit on the Dimona reactor. It would be Chernobyl again. Israel in a war with Iran would without doubt beat Iran; however, it would leave Israel devastated.
First, you need to have something capable of tearing through Fordo. Second, you need to know where the other buried facilities are. You also must be concerned with defensive sites, air fields and ballistic launch sites. I don’t know anyone here besides Craig, who knows how many air craft must be involved is such an extensive strike, including support air craft and refueling craft. Try at least 250 to 350 air craft.
As to the first point, I rather doubt Israel has the EPWs to destroy Fordo and if you think they will drop nukes, I would say you are wrong. Even their Dolphins are part of a reserve strategic force and are likely loaded with a significant number of nukes. I believe Netanyahu has agreed to withhold an attack until after 2012, in exchange for some significant support coming from the DOD this last year.
As for the victim not being a part of the nuclear program, BS. Iranian doesn’t know how to tell the truth. They will never attack KSA and their buddy Assad is slipping away. The alleged deal with Syria to supply oil is a slap to Erdogan. They are in a weakening position praying Obama is a weak leader planning to leave the region. I doubt however, he can count on Patraeus or even Panetta allowing a collapse of our strategic position.
I assume Reza is Muslim and finds the biblical logic amusing at best. If we do use force, I sure as hell our leaders are making rational and many layered decisions based in Intelligence, facts and experience, all having little to do with the End of Days, or Revelations.
What Israel fears is not just a massive missile assault on the home front but being blamed for oil breaching $200 per barrel and driving the world’s economy into the ground. As to the Dimona reactor, no it wouldn’t be like Chernobyl. The most sensitive stuff is safely underground, while the more vulnerable reactor is of modest size and nothing like Chernobyl.
In early 1979, Ayatollah Khomeini as the leader of the Islamic Revolution declared that :Iran Considers Itself At War with Israel.
No matter what Israel did, does or does not do, the mid term target of the Islamic Republic is the destruction of Israel.
According to the Iranian Constitution, the Islamic Republic’s long term task is a “Global Jihad” ( verbatim, as written in the Preamble of the Constitution under the heading “an Ideological Army”) while the Army and the Revolutionary Guards are expressly the ones in charge of realizing this goal.
Anyone who knows more a bit Iran, can understand the commanders of Basij don’t usually use their brain, all decision are taken by Ayatollah and his advisers who are really smart in their ways.
Regarding the scientist terror, I could say there is two possibilities, 1) Israilian agents who did many similar mission even Before 1979 in Iran and killed dozen scientists. 2) Iranian Government to scare Iranian Scientists to assist them in their Nuclear projects.
It strikes me as a serious misrepresentation to change ‘destroying the regime’ to ‘destroying Israel’. If you wish to be taken seriously as a commentator you would do better to base your argument on the truth.
Its time to start killing these Iranian assholes.
You mean start killing the occupying putrefied terrorist Islamic Regime occupying Iran and NOT Iranians. The Islamic Regime occupying the land is neither Iranian nor humane.
What you propose is like saying “It’s time to start killing Americans when this terrorist Islamic Regime invades and occupies our beautiful land of America in the not so far future”!!!!!!
You see how this shallow comment can be taken out of context?
If and unfortunately it looks it will be a matter of time but not if, the Islamic Regime takes over the globe including our own US, then should we say it is time to kill the American assholes?
Just think about it.
ALWAYS refer to the barbarians occupying Iran as “Islamic Regime” and never Iran nor Iranians.
Iranians over there are a hostage people paying for their honor and freedom with their own blood everyday. It is us who never hear about their plight because our leftist media prefers to revel in anything and anybody who stands against freedom and liberty, against the US, Israel and you get my point.
Javid Sha-an-Shah!
“In order to protect the security of our country, we have no option but to have the Zionist regime wiped off the map.”
What a coincidence, that’s pretty much how I feel about the government of the Mad Mullahs.
As long as that government exists and as long as the Mad Mullahs live, America will never be secure.
It’s been 32 years since they attacked our embassy in Tehran, and we STILL haven’t destroyed them. It’s been 28 years since Iran’s terrorist proxies killed hundreds of Americans in Lebanon, and we STILL haven’t destroyed them.
We should have destroyed these scumbags decades ago, we ought to destroy them NOW…before they get nuclear weapons.
The end is near!
I guess we have no option other than to utterly destroy Iran first. Make Iran only a bad memory.
What are you going to do move every university student in Iran into CPP.
I hope we have the Iranian sattelites under “kill” order. I also hope that the 30,000 lb. MOPs are already airborne and the airforce is waiting for the “kill” order.
Otherwise we are reduced to flooding Iran with porn. airdrops?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-14287086 the big picture suggests global moves. India, quite angry at China’s desire to see Pakistani subs with nuclear missiles signs another agreement. This one right in China’s back yard. KSA is smuggling in sat phones to Syrian opposition in an effort to topple Assad.
Russia sends more signals to Iran
hxxp://www.upi.com/Top_News/Special/2011/07/26/Iran-warns-Russia-on-nuke-plant-delays/UPI-90041311674760/?spt=hts&or=3
The noose is tightening and I don’t see the point in war mongering. There are many links that can be broken. Inside Iran the conflict grows: hxxp://www.adnkronos.com/IGN/Aki/English/Politics/Iran-Leaders-clash-on-arming-foreign-militants-trading-drugs-for-arms_312283242348.html
It would nice if we could remember that many (most?) of the Iranian people do not support the Islamic Republic Regime and have been fighting it. Remember the many Iranians who have been beaten and killed in the streets, tortured and raped in the prisons, and unjustly executed, because of their opposition to the regime. Iranians are the most pro-American population in the Middle East. (In a public opinion poll, 50% of Iranians agreed that Iran was part of the Axis of Evil. The pollster was arrested.) So, please, let’s differentiate between the IRI regime and the Iranian population at large.
Many apologists of the Islamic Republic Regime, including many academics, claim that Iran is very rational, and is just trying to advance the interests of the country through “realpolitik,” and mainly wants to insure regime continuation. They claim that Iran isn’t really threatening Israel, and has no plans to attack Israel. Yet the statements (see above) become more and more explicit. If I were Israeli, I would take the Iranian statements very seriously. Seventy five years ago, people ignored what Hitler said. How did that work out?
We would not even be having this discussion if we had elected a man who was fit to be President. The two greatest failures of the Obama Presidency, so far, are his abandonment of the Iranians who risked their live to overthrow the mullahs and his forsaking Americas role as the worlds nuclear policeman. The most incompetent, out of touch, President in history.
It’s probably the usual puffed up blather from the Iranian regime. But one thing is absolutely certain: there has never been a regime in history as publically suicidal as this one. Do these people really want to go see Allah this badly? One thing they will definitely see after the bombs start falling is huge masses of Iranians coming down on them like a sledge hammer just before the lights go out.
You are just damn lucky that it wasn’t bunkerbusters raining down on the site instead, camelbreath.
If you believe the Iranian stories then you have to believe:
1. Enemy agents are able to operate at will in Iran.
2. The Iranian people are either to stupid to notice that enemy agents are able to operate at will in Iran or they support them.
Wait, was it really him? I’m reading other news that says it was a university student killed and not the scientist: http://www.monstersandcritics.com/news/middleeast/news/article_1652831.php/Man-slain-in-Tehran-was-student-not-nuke-scientist
If so, other questions are raised, not least of which who the real target was and who actually ordered the shooting. I would not put it past Iran to try to kill someone, release pre-packaged statements on his death, and then blame it on Israel.
They’re almost as bad as Jay Carney at getting their story straight.
israel will have the last laugh. who is going to destroy whom? Man or nations have many plans but THE LORD ALMIGHTY the maker of heaven and earth RULES
the question i have is, Could this be part of the internal struggle between the clerics and Ahmadinejad?
I believe that it was the Iranians themselves who assassinated; (murdered by surprise attack for their own political reasons), one of their academically prominent persons, so as to publicly justify their desire to destroy or damage the nation of Israel; and the reputation of the United States of America. -Not a very new or bright idea.
Psalm 2:1-6 (NLT)
1 ¶ Why do the nations rage? Why do the people waste their time with futile plans?
2 The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the LORD and against his anointed one.
3 “Let us break their chains,” they cry, “and free ourselves from this slavery.”
4 But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.
5 Then in anger he rebukes them, terrifying them with his fierce fury.
6 For the LORD declares, “I have placed my chosen king on the throne in Jerusalem, my holy city.”
