I'm glad he ran, not only because he introduced interesting topics but also because he's fun. I also thought this was a good podcast. The moderator was excellent and the guests knew the subject. This is a man completely bereft of original ideas who will not make any important progress towards more limited government for Texas if he is elected. His positions often contradict one another and consititute a mere mish-mash of left-wing and right-wing positions. Calling oneself an "independent" and generally <a href="http://gusvanhorn.blogspot.com/2006/10/around-web-on-10-12-06.html#kin" rel="nofollow">making an ass of oneself</a> are no substitute for a consistent, pro-freedom political philosophy, a willingness to clearly articulate it, and a desire to implement it.
