As Prosser Wins, the Dems Get the Blame for Wisconsin
Now that Wisconsin’s recent judicial election has at long last been settled in Prosser’s favor, there is no doubt who is really to blame for the problems that resulted in erroneous reporting which gave a narrow lead for the defeated liberal candidate. In the only truly non-partisan, non-ideological study of its kind, a special task force of the Milwaukee Police Department concluded that massive fraud and incompetence existed in Wisconsin’s election system. Republicans were eager to reform the system, but most Democrats refused to even discuss it. Despite the Democrats’ failure to act, no Democrat or liberal ever refuted the substance of the study, nor did they make any effort even to address the incompetence issue.
Why would the Democrats want to allow the incompetence in the system to stand? A cynic would say it would allow fraud to continue. In the police study, the police task force found that 16 staffers for the Democrat presidential campaign and a liberal allied group committed felony vote fraud and engaged in an “illegal organized attempt to influence the outcome of an election in the state of Wisconsin.”
Yet not one was prosecuted.
Prosecutors concluded that prosecution was impossible because
[b]ased on the investigation to date, the task force has found widespread record keeping failures and separate areas of voter fraud. These findings impact each other. Simply put: it is hard to prove a bank embezzlement if the bank cannot tell how much money was there in the first place. Without accurate records, the task force will have difficulty proving criminal conduct beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
In essence, because of the high level of incompetence in Wisconsin’s election administration, prosecuting those who committed “multiple felonies” of vote fraud was impossible.
Wisconsin Democrats could have joined with Republicans to ensure that elections are more open, fair, and honest, but Democrats opposed transparency and favored systems that encourage fraud like “Same Day Registration,” which employs tactics like vouching for votes. This encourages incompetence, making record keeping difficult and committing fraud easy. If Democrats had worked with Republicans to reform the system, then the April 5 Supreme Court election would have undoubtedly been over on election night.

Sadly, we have the same problem with our voting system in Minnesota. Now that the Democrats don’t run everything (for once), we have a good chance at some reform. I’m afraid we may well disenfranchise the folks who want to vote multiple times in the same election, or vote despite small problems like them not being citizens of the state — or even the country — but that is the price you pay…
And hopefully, the remaining dregs of Dem power won’t manage to block the simple reforms needed in this area.
Maybe these are “dry runs” for the coming 2012 election.
..what can they get away with,
,< how to improve their techniques so that they can steal the 2012 election with fraud. It would be on sch a large scale we would have problems proving it …
I think they knew they were caught so they brought back the votes for Posser.
there were still a lot of other issues of voter fraud during this one election. the 10,000 votes for only one of the multiple vote ballots.
in the coming 2012 elections …with all the fraud that is going on I would be surprised if obama doesn’t steal the election.
Well,I’m for rubbing their union grunt noses in it…let them know that we know they tried to steal it and they are so incompetent they couldn’t pour piss out of a boot…and that now they are outside looking in…even after all of their shenanigans at the Capitol
why do we not hear more about this on the daily news/?? we need some honest networks out here.
anne – Don’t hold your breath on that one. They’re in bed with the Democrats. Thank goodness for the internet and places lilke PJM.
Have you watched your local t.v. news lately? It is all about being upbeat and cheerful. Smile smile smile. That’s the ticket. A few underhand powder puffs to the leftist status quo –pow!, outta the park. And now for the manically happy weather man on the possibility of sunshine in tomorrow’s forecast …
Arrogance, entitlement and dishonesty is nothing new for the lib/left here in Canada, you’re now getting the same, full bore, expect it, it’s a way of life for them, the majority of them. To obtain power there isn’t a crack in the curb a socialist won’t fill.
I’ve read few articles, here or anywhere, that have left me so angry — and not because of the article itself, which is well-focused and penetrating, but because of what it says about the left half of our political class.
We’re in the End Times for the democratic means of accomplishing transitions of political authority. It’s part of a larger malady. Though I’ve written about that disease more than once, I’ve wanted to wish it away ever since. Unfortunately, reality has become too immediate, and too hard-edged for that.
Pray.
HONEST voting with an honest tally is a mandatory thing! Of the suspects they’re not willing to prosecute, names and explanations of what was done needs to go to the press.
On outsiders voting to stuff ballots, this is why proper, legal identification is mandatory, as is residence address verification.
One a similar issue, out here in SoCal’s CA47 we have Loretta Sanchez for a House Rep, I pity us for this. She’s been pumping Illegal Aliens to vote for her from the very beginning, and it was discovered when she blew out Rep B1 Bob Dornan, but election officials felt number of Illegal Alien votes didn’t qualify to throw the vote out and a redo. (I’m sure their method of investigation was just a coin toss, it’s not like you put your personal info on a ballot also)
Even though her office is in Garden Grove, she does her town hall events in Santa Ana – though I most certainly don’t claim to be an expert in a city’s demographic nature or population by ethnicity, GUT FEEL tells me we have a considerably higher Illegal Alien population in Santa Ana than in Garden Grove. Amazing how a mere 5-some miles can alter a city’s ethnicity.
So once again proper identification and residence address verification would have eliminated much of my doubt over fraudulent, illgal voting. But we have a large pack of DEM Congresscritters want nothing to do with ID verification at voting time.
i live in oc too and i totally agree with you
however, i believe the county is begging (if even subconsciously) for a staunch conservative that can articulate free-market economic issues with friedman’s clarity
the problem is that most “R’s” in oc are full-fledged rinos (rohrbacher is one that comes immediately to mind) and, thus, are trying to fight in a way that the statists do better
sanchez is a total hack and could easily be defeated in that district by an opponent that can fight fire with fire, has no fear of their smoke-screen tactics, and can stick to sound conservative principles
That’s why you need to go just a bit further south… CA-49 (N San Diego County) is the home of a coming keystone of the GOP: Darrel Issa.
Governors who want to be our next President and haven’t been able to clean up their own voting systems in their own states should not bother to run. Goodbye Tim Pawlenty,Mitt Romney and any others who have failed on this most basic of responsibilities.
The American people are so poorly served by the politicans that they put in office that they can’t even trust them to set up a legal and legitimate voting system. That is pretty pathetic in a country which claims to be the last great hope for freedom in the world. It is time for the people to take back control of our country and the functioning of the governments at all levels form these self defined elites who seem to be as corrupt as the mafia in most of their actions. No offense to the mafia but it was the first analogy I thought of.
The duties of the office of Secretary of State to oversee elections are almost always established by the state constitution and there is close to nothing any governor can do about it. That’s why George Soros got so interested in who was elected to an office most voters don’t understand or much care about a few years back. Save your animosity for Soros and his minions, not Romney or Pawlenty.
Governors can work with legislators to improve laws. But you are right that in many states, but not Wisconsin, Secretaries of State are key. (Wisconsin elections are run by Government Accountability Boards.)
do you actualy expect the democrats to EVEN want to clean up a process they perfected years ago, the original votes from the grave crowd. had they fully investigated they would more than likely have learned a lot of those voters were dead long befor they voted, as to the out of state voters THEY should all be given a MINIMUM OF 20 YEARS IN PRISON, I hate liars theives and democrats, come to think of it they are one and the same,
What a superb article! thanks.
Democrats are dishonest by nature. Nothing new here.
And as we’ve seen this week in the Canadian federal election, when conservatives even dare to question the goings on and rather suspicous activities during an advanced poll at a Toronto university, they are accused of trying to block democracy and preventing young people from voting. Yet if Conservative Party operatives had have done the same thing at the city’s old folk’s homes, the CBC would have ensured we never heard the end of it.
“Liberals”. They want elections where only votes for their candidates are counted. You know, becaues they’re right and we’re evil.
This is not unique to the State of Wisconsin. Voter fraud runs rampant throughout all fifty states. Democrats fight tooth and nail for continuation of voter fraud because they are the primary recipients of it. Politics has always been dirty but the last few decades have made it down right filthy. Term limits would help to get rid of these entrenched corrupt politicians, until that is done election reform is impossible.
Wisconsin takes vote fraud to a new level. By allowing vouching and being so incompetent, they make fraud so easy that jaywalking is riskier. Vouching would be a joke if it were not true. I could vouch for you in Wisconsin and I have no idea how you are. And that is the point. Wisconsin needs to wake up.
Canada has ‘same-day registration’ – and of course, it’s the open door to fraudulent voting.
If you go to an electoral station without your mailed registration card, you can register at the poll. All you need are TWO envelopes with your name and address on it. They might ask you for a photo ID such as a driver’s licence. All that this establishes is proof-of-residency. BUT, you can be a visitor, a non-citizen! No-one is ever, ever, asked for proof of citizenship. And yet, that is the first criterion for voting eligibility.
“And yet, that is the first criterion for voting eligibility.”
==
Or to be eligible for elected office.
Hi ETAB. You’re right that here in Canada they need two pieces of mail with your name however it’s not like the mail they will accept are sales flyers. The link below shows the three methods used allow someone to vote. One method is having government photo ID and proof of address, another is having two approved pieces of mail adressed to the voter and the third is having an approved voter swear an oath for the aspiring voter (with all the legal ramifications for lying) AND the oath taker can only vouch once.

Hey, it’s not as bad as it could be. Besides, here in Canada we have one conservative party (called the Conservatives) and four other parties splitting the rest of the vote. The Liberals (that’s the name of the party) split with the NDP (New Democratic Party, really left) and that’s (along with the Green and the Bloc draining left and greedy votes) away form the Liberal put the Conservatives in power (minority government to be sure) for the last 4 years despite getting way less than 50% of the vote.
cheating is natural for democrats …I do not doubt they cheated a lot in this election. …and still lost.
it is just that their support really and truly is lower then anyone can easily see due to the fact that the media is also cheating …no surprise there either as most are democrat supporters.
the voting process should be a thoroughly clean and honest process where real documented Americans go to elect the best representatives to carry out the busines of good government as per the Constitution, and to fulfill the needs and desires of the populace.
our process is so corrupt we now have a potus that we can’t even verify is one of us, much less that he was properly elected by the representatives of the American people. voter fraud and intimidation is so rampant these days that the doj won’t even investigate or prosecute threats at the polling places by their friends who share a similar skin color. polititians use our own tax $$ to pay for votes to be able to take more of our taxes. promise completely open door government, then constantly meet behind closed doors to ram legislation down our throats. pass it so we can see what is in it. then have the gall to say the America people will see that they deserve to be elected for another term. they do one thing, then say another. sop for this bunch if socialists scrum. lowering the learning standards in academia and hiring standards (AA) in gov and business has wrought a whirlwind. we grow less competitive by the day, poorer by the minute, and less free by the second.
one clear fact keeps rearing its nasty head. if we don’t purge this corruption from our ranks we can kiss our way of life goodbye, whatever it takes.
Unfortunately, the only lesson Democrats will learn from their drubbing in Wisconsin is that they have to find more creative ways of gaming the electoral system. The very core of their “philosophy” is that they are correct in all cases and so anything that helps them win an election is both “moral” and “right.”
As each of my children grew up, our last child/daddy day out was when I would take each of them to a local merchant to register to vote. It was a special day and event in growing up. We had a fifteen year gap before the youngest was born. When he turned 18, I started looking for a place to take him to register. Found out that there is no such animal any longer. You have to mail in a motor voter application from Social Services or Department of Motor Vehicles. Voter registration is just like signing up for welfare; no verification, no effort, no problem. Nothing special about registering to exercise the most important single right a citizen of this still great country has. How much longer will we still be great? Not for long if we keep electing third world leaders.
No kidding. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out Barry’s real last name is Mugabe.
When did liberals become so stupid?
Not so many years ago, liberals were commonly derided by many for variously being “pointy-headed intellectuals,” or “out-of-touch dreamers and schemers,” or for being “a little too smart by half” . . . those were the sorts of generalizations aimed at liberals a few years ago.
But being too smart for for your own good does not usually connote being downright stupid!
These days, however, that is a picture that is beginning to emerge about lefties in general. Liberals and progressives are the ones who are now coming across as the predominant thuggish set in our American political discourse.
Just read a few comment threads on Politico posts, for example, and you’ll readily see the pattern.
If you watch the You-Tube clip of Joanne Kloppenburg’s declaration of victory on April 6th, you’ll notice that even she clearly was and is devoid of any of the careful or thoughtful attributes one expects from a judge, especially a justice in an upper court. She completely ignored all of the reporters’ questions, and just kept mindlessly repeating her childish claim that she had won. Now, of course, she looks like a fool for having exercising such poor judgment and bad taste.
self-declared intellectuals are usually the complete opposite
and the lefty version of “intellectual” is to be a smart-assed hipster that believes so much in his own bs that to defy logic, nature, and reason can only be cool, edgy, and smart
daxypoo you mean self declared intellectuals like Obambi who does so not only without any proof whatsoever but as one who actually personally HIDES the papers that could prove it. But then I must be a “RACIST DOCUMENTER’ to even dare to question the immaculated MESSIAH mustn’t I we should just accept what he and his *ss lickers say without question and without them providing a shred of proof.
Of course, the police report referenced in the article is pointing at voting fraud perpetuated by Republicans.
Neither of the major political parties are above voter fraud. Just something to consider ….
Have you actually read the report, or did you just rely on someone else’s summary of it?
It appears from my reading of the report that it must be the latter, because of all references to the Republican Party (excluding the Table of Contents and section headings), only one is not in reference to a complaint entered by the Republican Party, not–I say again, not–against it. The sole exception is a statement that both Republican and Democratic Parties considered Wisconsin a “must win” state in 2004.
Thus, your allegation is substantively disproved by the report itself. Anyone who reads it can see the same thing I did, and not what you allege.
You should now go back to Democratic Underground and ask for new talking points.
You have it right. If you read the report and the footnotes carefully, you will see it references the Democrats and a specific liberal group. However, the report is not a Republican whitewash, it criticizes Republicans in Wisconsin for being too broad in their allegations of vote fraud in some instances.
Which only strengthens the report’s claim to evenhandedness–and really, says nothing surprising about Republican strategy or inherently damning about the Republican pols. If this is the best counterclaim the Left can make, it’s probably less effective for them than simple, embarrassed silence would be.
Have you ever known a lefty that could keep quiet when his sacred cow gets gored?
That’s why lefties troll conservative blogs.
If during the recount, a sufficient number if votes are found to be illegally cast and the ratio of votes that Prosser wins by is greater than .005, does the loser then have to pay the cost of the recount? This might provide some incentive to keep the polls accurate.
Since Republicans control the Wisconsin Governor’s office and both houses of the legislature, is there some reason why this problem isn’t already fixed? Help me out here…
It takes time. Do you really think this stuff happens overnight? First thing they did was go for the jugular. They went after the unions. Yes, it was about the budget, but it was also a strategic bombing of the Dems’ money/manpower factory. Once that is damaged or destroyed, it makes other battles easier.
Now, after the mess in this election, they can use this as a reason to go after the next part of the Dems’ power, the vote factory. They went after the unions by using the budget as the surface issue. They’ll go after the fraud using the incompetence as the surface issue.
One big battle at a time. Walker is doing a marvelous job.
“But the fact is that elections shouldn’t matter as much as they do…”
~Nancy Pelosi~
“But the fact is that elections shouldn’t matter as much as they do…”
~Nancy Pelosi~
Well, Princess, if that’s the case, then you never should have been elected.
After reading a bazillion blog posts and articles about corruption in US elections I have to wonder what’s up? The impression given is that the US can’t organize fair elections in frightening contrast to Australia, Canada, Britain, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Holland, Austria, Switzerland etc etc., where fair elections are the norm and election fraud is highly exceptional.
If it’s true that US elections are unfair, then why is it true? If it’s false – and I find it hard to believe that the leading nation in the free world can’t even get to first base in the practice of democracy (fair elections) – then what is causing all this angst?
Mr Thielen suggests that lefty progressives in Wisconsin have succeeded in subverting the electoral process. I do believe they would happily try. If this is true in Wisconsin and in other States then it’s the essence of silliness, makes a mockery of the electorate and of the Republic. A democratic deficit is as bad as a fiscal deficit.
If widespread electoral fraud is happening in America to serve the socialist agenda of Mr Owe in the White House and his collectivist legions, why isn’t it being stopped?
It’s happening because Americans seldom pay attention to anything unless it slaps them right across the face or digs into their it checkbook
We need to stand behind people that raise questions and find the answers. The liberals are a loud voice, conservatives dont’ have a voice…but pay the taxes and get run over..
Americans need to not only get a voice, they need a megaphone! We’re going to see more of this corruption in the next election…liberals, socialists, welfare suckers, entitlement, affirmative action creeps will be out in full force to have the minority override the majority
.
this is the truth
not to mention that our most productive in society spend their lives being, well, productive, while the blobs of slobs have nothing better to do than to blame someone else for their folly
another point is the most important sections in elections (i’m beginning to realize) are not for the national offices, although important, they pale in comparison to the election of local and state school boards and judges
it is curious how information on the candidates of these races is almost non existent
i have been guilty of leaving these entire sections blank (when i dont vote for myself) because i have no idea who to vote for and the results are more statists infiltrating the lowest levels
america responds best when the proverbial s–t hits the fan and i believe we are right on the precipice but we must strive to be as loud as the lefties because, ffs, our message is right— it just needs to get out!
because the democrats cry discrimination and drag out a bunch of victims every time some one tries to make the system honest.
only the democrats want the system in chaos because they are the only group that cheats on a large scale.
I also think that the 2012 elections are in jeopardy due to the voter fraud that is being set up now.
Sore loser and winners are not liked in the US. Take Prosser if Kloppenburg does not request a recount. Should he complain about Dane County? That would make him a sore winner. He won, what does he care now? He wants to put the close election behind him and do his job.
On the flipside take Richard Nixon and John Ashcroft. Nixon refused to complain about the questionable voting in 1960 in Illinois and Texas. He would not have won in 1968 if he did. Or take John Ashcroft who lost under very suspicious circumstances in 2000. There is no way a tightly divided Senate confirms him as Attorney General if he fights in 2000.
Well, for one thing these other countries you cite MIGHT run cleaner elections than the U.S., or then again they might not. Some of the nations you mention have a broadly monolithic leftish political class and media. If Wisconsinite voting shenanigans happened in many of these places, they’d never be reported. Hell, many candidates who would warrant vehement leftist opposition might never get the CHANCE to run. America’s uniqueness in this situation might be the unvarnished look that voters occasionally get inside the system.
Secondly, many of those nations’ political systems are parliamentary, or otherwise distinct from America’s. Maybe some of the elected positions that inspire local maneuvering here are largely appointed over there. Or maybe the effect of a SINGLE regional election is less profound there. In places that allow coalitions, the effects of an election loss may be less severe, and less demanding of drastic measures or criminality to avoid. Lot of variables at work.
Nice post.
I would add, that this is a rightwing country. The Left would stand no chance of victory without cheating. None. 20% Liberal. 40% Conservative. That’s a huge gap to try to close. It’s cheat or go home.
Democrat party is the party of cheating & cheaters. Democrat/Liberal/Progressive = Communist = Enemy
“why isn’t it being stopped?”
Because every time there is an effort to insure photo ID for every voter, we hear the same refrain from the Democrats. “Our voters are incapable of getting photo ID”, “our voters aren’t smart enough to get preregistered to vote”. If I were a Democrat voter, I would be highly upset that my party leaders considered me too dumb to be able to get to a place where I could have a photo ID made or register to vote in advance.. I do not understand how these Democrat voters function without a Photo ID. Can’t buy beer, can’t qualify for food stamps or welfare etc., yet the Democrats don’t want any of these people who are apparently not capable of doing the slightest thing that normal people can do, disqualified from the most important thing an American can do.
Heh, if the Democrat Voters are too damn dumnb to get a photo ID or register to vote then they shouldn’t be voting in the first place. A voter should be informed enough to make a decision and i see no REAL way that can be done if they’re too dumb to pound sand.
The “our voters are too dumb to..” meme was also used in Florida 2000 as a reason to make ad hoc changes in how votes were counted/cast out. The cast out votes should be recounted because our voters didn’t understand the ballots. Who designed the ballots? Democrats in Democrat Party-controlled counties.
It embarrasses me to admit to such cynicism, but my first thought on this whole affair was that the Waukesha County count was intentionally withheld. By holding some votes in reserve it assured that when Democrat precincts calculated the votes needed to win, they would only provide enough to win the original tally. If the 7500 votes were included in the original count, Democrats would have provided enough votes to beat that. Thus, it was all election craft at work.
It was my first thought too. I don’t see it as cynicism. I see it as the Republicans, the Stupid Party, finally learning. It was brilliant.
The unions are powerful, but they are a small part of the American work force. The unions are loosing ground not only for just being the democratic party, but they have screwed so many of their own members. If the unions would fight half as hard for their members as they do for democratic politicians, they would start growing again. I am a card carrying member of a trade union.
Our democratic republic will not last much longer if the kind of voter fraud reported in this excellent article continues. The thuggish Left will eventually take over.
I know that sounds naive; still, it’s true.
The Democrats will never approve of honesty and fairness. They know that they are not in the majority so according to Alinsky, it is okay to cheat to win and so they do. It is the only way for them to win. These are all the dishonest people in the world and it is too late to teach them to love honesty. The time to teach them that was when they were young. Too late now. They will always prefer dishonesty. Factor that in.
Republicans definitely “stole” the election. If they had reported accurately on election night, Dane County would have created enough votes to beat P by a couple of hundreds. Other counties would have found votes in garages and abandoned warehouses.
They would have found the fraudulent votes in the union halls. I have been through a rigged election in our local!
Imagine that. Democrats and labor unions involved in voter fraud in an election. Who would have ever thought that might happen? The Al Franken express, eh?
If it weren’t for media bias, voting “irregularities” and outright fraud, Democrats would be hard-pressed in most jurisdictions to win any state-wide election.
Prosser Won!
Tales of 3 Judges: Prosser, Walker, Bolton
. . . In a nation governed not by the people or their elected representatives but more and more by an overbearing, tyrannical federal judiciary, it is likely Judge Bolton’s decision to gut Arizona’s SB 1070 and the 9th Circuit’s affirmation and that Judge Walker’s transparent bias against California’s Proposition 8 will be overlooked and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. As for Wisconsin’s Justice Prosser, SCOTUS is liable to find he stole the election.
(Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=4160)
I always said only one party cheats in elections in America. We know they do, we have plenty of extant examples of it happening in various states, we know WHY it happens (between lax controls and deliberate abuse of the laxity) and we know they would never win ANY elections if they did not do this, so they have impetus to continue to do it, and to do it worse, over time.
Wisconsin brought in Canadians for the Bush 2004 elections, I recall reading. Same day registration is a joke… how can one’s information be checked if one can register to vote on the way into the ballot station?
And of course every state MUST adopt mandatory voter ID at ballot box.
But part of it is at the precinct level, where often a voting station is run entirely by people from one or the other party. In Houston, a “poll watcher” was given the bum’s rush in 2008 by a couple of thug democrats and refused the right to return to the building. When a station is staffed and secured by nothing but Democrats, you are BEGGING for the kind of rampant cheating whose motivation can be summed up in the words of one black militant, to wit: “black man gonna win this election no matter WHAT.” 2008.
If “truly non-partisan, non-ideological” task forces minutely, carefully, trenchantly and professionally investigated every election in the United States that outcome will be obvious – There are a few dishonest Republicans and a few honest Democrats. And that’s not humor – that’s fact.
yes …..and that is one difficult problem.
The problem is the Progressive/Communist mindset. The reason there is so much voter fraud and so forth, is that their cause is right and just. If the unwashed, unbeliever conservatives and other hicks don’t see it, well then they’re just gonna fix it right for them. I mean, any reasonable, thinking individual just couldn’t disagree unless something was wrong with them anyway.
Forbid Wisconsin’s participation in Federal elections until they clean up their house. Many other states, too.
michael: Your statement
“… liberal allied group committed felony vote fraud and engaged in an “illegal organized attempt to influence the outcome of an election in the state of Wisconsin.”
is a libel. This was simply a REDISTRIBUTION OF VOTES! Don’t you see how unfair it is to get more votes than the other fellow?
Ok, why isn’t the election process being revamped in time for 2012? The Republicans control the state government, shouldn’t they be working on this?
So, in conclusion, police department officials whom are, also, union members have decided (on their own) not to charge anyone for these crimes because it would be too difficult to process.
Wait, what?
