An Open Letter to the ‘Good Liberal’ Who Ignores Occupy Wall Street’s Jew Hatred
Unmasked presents 50 of the most sober, principled thinkers of our time – I am honored and humbled to be among them – all of whom understand that it is crucial to tell the truth about the massive misinformation campaign against the Jews and the West, and that we must do so with courage and boldness. We — and the filmmaker who is also the producer of The Case for Israel – believe that it is late, but never too late to do so. True, the demonization of Jews, Israel, and America has gone viral. Human mobs are “surging” across Israel’s borders and are “occupying” public spaces around the world in jihadic-like fashion.
Greenfield’s experts also understand that Jews are being blamed for the exact crimes committed by the Arabs and “Palestinians” against their own people and against the Jewish state.
At this moment in history, Greenfield’s on-camera talking heads are the witnesses for the defense. They explain that everything you have been told about the matter is demonstrably false, diabolically Orwellian, and dangerous to civilization.
One cannot stop watching the film. The music engages us, the manuscripts, lithographs, film footage, and stills are shocking, tragic, illuminating, beautiful, important, haunting. We have not seen many of these images before. Taken all together, they are entered into evidence. The amount of information packed into this fast-paced documentary is astounding.
For example, the film shows us medieval images of the Crucifixion, which visually remind us that until the Vatican “pardoned” the Jews in 1965, we were hated as Christ killers. And then there are the countless covers of that long-exposed forgery, The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion (which was copied from a tract against Napoleon Bonaparte) — pamphlet after pamphlet, in German, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, and Hindi — alleged proof that Judaism or Zionism is a powerful world conspiracy.

We see Yasser Arafat’s venerable ancestor, the mufti of Jerusalem, shaking hands with Herr Hitler. We see brave pioneers in Israel who, only three years after “standing eyeball to eyeball with death in Auschwitz” (Rabbi Jonathan Sacks’ words in this film), actually won the 1948 war of independence against seven Arab armies. We see Chaim Herzog, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations from 1975-1978, as he addresses the UN, describing it, presciently, as the “world center of anti-Semitism.” We see the iconic photo of a Jewish child and woman holding their hands up in surrender as the Nazis force them out of the Warsaw ghetto — and, we see how modern-day “Palestinian” cartoonists have turned the Jewish child into an Arab child wearing a keffiyeh; the formerly Nazi soldiers now sport Stars of David on their helmets.
We also see countless Nazi-era and contemporary Muslim cartoons in which Jews are portrayed as vulture-like child killers, big nosed greedy bankers, disgusting octopuses, and disease-spreading vermin. This anti-Semitism is not learned from the West. It is indigenous to Islam. In fact, Muslims forced Jews to wear distinctive dress and insignia many centuries before the Nazi era. If this startles you awake, wait for what’s coming next.

Judeophobia? What?!? Another “phobia”. Enough already. Phobia means fear. They do not fear Jews. They have contempt for them and/or hate them outright. I do not have a phobia about homosexuals. I just think it is disgusting. I do not hate them for it, though.
Phobia means fear. Please quit distorting the meanings of words. This is how their propaganda spreads.
Quite right. The correct term is Judenhass
The “Occupy” Movement Turns Nazi
For an indepth understanding of why the term “Judeophobia” is the most accurate term to use to describe what is happening today, I refer you to Pierre-Andre Taguieff’s very important work RISING FROM THE MUCK: THE NEW ANTI-SEMITISM IN EUROPE. “Judeophobia” conveys the intellectualized and ideologized hatred of Jews that is encompassed in the anti-Jewish phenomenon flourishing in the world today.
Actually I think in today’s clime it is the correct word to use like the metaphorical Islamophobia.
Marc: I suggest that “Judeophobia” is correct when identifying a Jew-hater.
While you’re parsing the literal “phobia,” that phobia still goes on every day, either openly or just under the surface. If you care to call the pathology something else, it still does not diminish the fact of hate and I think it comes from fear. I believe that fear comes from ignorance of what these people, Jews, are about. Decades of bigotry have entrenched fear and hate against them. It’s tough to expunge it from conditioned minds, and those minds have been conditioned to a point of shame.
My childhood was full of it and when I knew it was wrong, I had to be constantly on guard not to allow myself to slide back to it.
If an hater atacks someone, does it matter whether it’s out of fear or hate?
WTH cares, the injury is done. One actually has to dedicate himself to the truth and not a bigotry of a people kept under a microscope too long.
In a day when we must be aware of terrorists, there are still those who stand in judgment of Jews, while they, themselves, are not pure enough to be judged.
I’m a non-practicing Protestant with an advanced liberal arts degree. I’ve been watching the rise of anti-semitism for many years. It’s become the default position, even of some Jews. I’m treated like a nut when I remarked it so I no longer do.
Here in Portland, Oregon I’ve let nearly all my left liberal acquaintance slide away as this madness and others have become commonplace. I confess that I’m also put off by the POV that Chritianity is ape-like joke cult fit only for sneering or refroming into an NGO.
My undergraduate school, a Presbyterian private university, has become so easy with this antisemitic and other slippery points of view that I requested that they take me off of their mailing list.
I don’t understand. I certainly understand your article, and I am going to get the movie. But what I don’t understand is, that so many Jewish people are liberals? I never even thought about it before Obama became president and all of a sudden, its in the news all over when there are protests all over the world etc. including the US. (I’m a Tea Party member, and I can assure you there were never any of these feelings among us!) We would have ousted them at the onset! However, the job I do entails working for households, and I work for some Jewish people and they are liberals! They go along with all of the rhetoric etc. and I say nothing because I just don’t understand. And being a conservative, I don’t want to lose my job. Wonderful people, but I cannot for the life of me get why, at this point in the US, they are not defending their culture! I AM! But I get the feeling they would think less of me for doing it! I just do not understand! I hope to be able to get a copy of this movie and maybe that will help. Thanks.
Ilene Brown
The Jews of pre-WWII Europe by and large stubbornly refused to leave when it was becoming blatantly obvious that their culture, livelihoods, and even their lives, were in danger. To be fair, they saw themselves as being as much a part of a given nationality as they saw themselves as Jews; the societies around them saw them only as Jews, and gave them yellow armbands to drive home the point. The reasons for the seeming inertia are complex, but the big picture from the distance of time is of a people unwilling to act soon enough and in enough numbers to save themselves.
Modern American Jews are steeped in a long tradition of North East activism that is tied intimately to the Left and to the Democratic Party. They have not paid attention to the fact that both the movement and the party have left them behind and taken them for granted. They have also always assumed that anti-semitism was a “right-wing” thing, despite the fact that the ones who massacred so many of their relatives were the “National Socialist Workers Party,” and that even Stalin had a “Final Solution” in mind for Soviet and East European Jews before his death spared them that tragedy.
The NAZI’s are ‘Right Wing’ LIE is spewed by the same Left Wing moonbats who blame the Jews for all the Economic Ills that the Democrats have inflicted on the USA’s and the World’s economies with their Fanny and Freddie housing bubble “everyone deserves to OWN a house even though they cant afford it”scams. They are also the same people who are themselves Green NAZI’s and who still follow the same false scientific BS that Green NAZI’s still trot out even though the scam has been exposed for just what it is.
Why are a hefty majority of Jews liberals? Because that is the route to assimilation and acceptance by a patrician Protestant establishment. It is social climbing, pure and simple. I laid it out here: http://clarespark.com/2011/10/15/baltzell-on-the-good-jews/. Retitled The Protestant Establishment taps a Good Jew. See also http://clarespark.com/2010/11/14/the-abcs-of-antisemitism/.
Ilene Brown:
You don’t need to be in such a dilemma about Jews. They all don’t think in lock-step with one another simply because they were either born in a Jewish family or now practice Judaism. Give them credit for being individual people! Frankly, I’ve never categorized people into classes or theologies, therefore have never expected them to think all the same. Think of people as individuals and your quandary will fade away.
Just as in the rest of us, there shouldn’t be such surprise that Jews also make personal choices like the rest of Americans. Jewish group think is something they left behind in Europe when they emigrated to th USA.
If your folks didn’t do the same, then they were an exception. My ancestors left behind petty animosities and beliefs in their part of “The Old World” too.
I’m not proud of the fact that about 45% of the faith I’m part of is reported as having voted for Obama. And 45% of my church has far more vote impact than a percentage of approximately 6 million American Jews who’re registered to vote. Also, most live in urban or very near urban areas and most of those areas are dominantly Democrat. Think about it; NYC, Chicago, LA, Boston, Phila. !
Regarding talking politics while on your job activities, the best policy is just do your job and that doesn’t require political/religion discussion.
See Robert Wistrich, A Lethal Obsession: from Antiquity to the Global Jihad.
Ilene, I really don’t know either… we can be crazy people.
An excellent article Dr. Chesler, but regrettably, another article, detailing the atrocities if Jew haters in general and Islam in particular is akin to another study telling us that cigarette smoking is bad for you.
From the days of Mohamed up to the present the world has known exactly how evil Islam is.
When I see the refusal of otherwise intelligent people to see the obvious evil that is Islam, I can’t help but think of the parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man:
“He (The Rich Man) said, “I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him (Lazarus) to my father’s house; for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.”
But Abraham said to him, “They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.”
He said, “No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.”
He said to him, “If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.”
The truth about Israel and the Jews is so obvious, and the position of the Jew haters is so contrary to objective facts, that even a “man returning from the dead” could not change their minds.
The time has come to move beyond pointing out the facts that have been apparent for nearly fourteen centuries, because those who see the truth already see it and those who don’t are so hardened that they never will see the truth. It is time to make SERIOUS plans for combating this evil.
I don’t know where to start but a good first step is to elect a President who will support Israel. I believe there is one question of presidential candidates, the answer to which would indicate his/her suitability for the office: “Will you support Israel with Jerusalem as its eternal and undivided capital?”
I agree about the question you suggest being asked of a presidential hopeful. It’s time for the West to stop backing those who seek our demise, and realign ourselves with countries that reflect our values – those of life, liberty, forgiveness and justice. As for those who refuse to see the danger of the Islamization of our civilization, I wonder if they ever crack a book and read some history of Islam and how it conquers and converts. If not – this deluded group needs to do some research.
Perhaps the second question should be: Will you get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US?
One could legitimately ponder how much influence the very “Rev. Wright” had during the 20 years our President and family attended his church and listened to his sermons or his friendship with “Rev” Farrakhan. It might possibly explain the disrespect and animosity he has shown towards Israel and its leaders.
I’ve noticed that the rhetoric against Isreal and the Jewish people is now termed “anti-zionism’ by the left. I can only surmise it’s meant to mislead and make them appear to be unbiased…. watch for the word anti-zionism, it will tell you exactly what you need to know about the person using it.
We’ve all seen this before and my fear is we don’t have leaders that will stand up and prevent it from reocurring.
Aside from the hatred of Jews and infidels in general that saturate Islamic texts, another reason why the Arab/Muslim world is so hostile to Israel is that they are confused, bewidered, and more than a little embarrassed by Israel’s success. Israel is a modern, vibrant, productive country with the highest standard of living in the region. This goes against everything Muslims have been indoctrinated to believe about Jews. From a Muslim perspective this is not supposed to be, they can’t come to grips with it, the natural order of things has been turned upside down. Israel flourishes while most of the Muslim world remains borderline primative. Empirical evidence is a powerful thing and it is causing the Muslim world to become completely unglued.
The problem now is media bias against Israel and Jews in general. That media bias is translated into points of view which are given credence by the media. What is represented as an even handed approach by this media is horribly skewed toward the liberal point of view. Currently the liberal embrace of the Moslem world has further nurtured this anti Israel/anti Jewish point of view. Until the media is truly forced to provide unbiased reporting, it will continue to try to influence the thought of Americans. While we have a leftist President in office, the likelihood of a transformation of this liberal press seems impossible. However, recently we have seen some cracks in that wall. The Obama administration’s chastisement of CBS for truthfully reporting on the Gun Walker scandal is the first crack and this is a big crack. It either signals a turnaround in media’s approach, or it will signal a new harsh repression of the truth by the Obama administration and a compliant media. Curiously the short shrift given by the the media to the Republican debates is the press’s way of killing an argument. You can not have an argument if you haven’t heard the other point of view. They are clearly trying to kill that point of view. In contrast look at the attention they lavish on Occupy Wall Street. Its a curious country that promotes animal rights yet squashes the rights of conservatives to be heard.
If you told me to all my Jewish friends I think they would laugh out loud. I agree that Arab states have a deep antipathy for Israel because of it’s obvious success, but I suspect there may be other reasons too.
Where can I get a copy of the film?
Excellent article. I agree that Jews and Israel are being held to an impossible standard. And I agree that anti-semitism is on the rise and grossly unfair.
But please, please, please, do not celebrate Alan Dershowitz as a voice of wisdom and truth. He is no good, plain and simple, dishonest as they come, and quite at home with lies and deception. Your story fails citing the likes of Alan. In fact, he is the poster boy of dishonesty.
You are defaming Alan Dershowitz, without giving any examples of what to your mind is his dishonesty. Is it because you don’t have anything and just want to muddy his name because he defends Israel? It seems so.
– are told they can’t say things, even while off duty, that compromises the public employer. Otherwise, they have free speech…
A little anti=semitism existed when I was growing up in New England…mostly barring Jews from membership in various clubs but it was never the violent hatred I see now all over the world. The amount of good accomplished by Jewish people is enormous. Scientific discoveries, inventions, medical achievements, books, films amd on and on. I just cannot understand it and have no idea how to combat it other than mentioning achievements.
True. Many people mention the collosal gifts that the Jews gave to the world in defense of the Jewish people. But looking at it objectively, don’t the Jews have a right to exist free from hatred just because they are a part of humanity? Do we mention the right to exist of Aboriginies, or other peopes who didn’t have such an impact on the world, because of any nice trait they possess? They just have a right to exist like other humans on this earth. and so do Jews.
I cannot understand all this talk about rights. Rights are privileges others are willing to allow or what people can take for themselves. Law used to speak about serving all peoples, but with the coming of the Obama adventure, America has moved toward the new reality of meaningless ideals and the justification of power relationships in all things that matter. Law is for the sissies who cannot muster sufficient numbers or political prowess. It cannot be counted upon in the most important areas. The Executive branch decides which laws to enforce and which to ignore. Congress passes bills to find out what is in them. And the judiciary and police fail to bring a sense of justice to the land.
We have avoided violence of the Kent State type until this point, but do not expect that to last. Indeed, I can envision one incensed Jew or some rabid Antisemite breaking the entire situation open. That will bring blood and clarity to the issue of both parlor and street Antisemitism.
Not to worry. Wanna bet that ancient decrepit fool the erstwhile Mayor Koch will endorse for a second term….His Majesty King Farouk Obama? Seen it over and over again. The louder the Jew hatred, the more they run to appease and make nice. What are we doing wrong? How can we smooth things over? Isn’t that what is happening in Israel today? Smooth? It’s viewed as a sign of WEAKNESS and COWARDICE. When the Crown Heights riots were occurring in NYC there was Koch all over the airwaves in New York decrying the riots and so outraged and surprised! that the Jews who were so central to the Civil Rights Era, were the target of blacks. How could the blacks turn on them like that???? The fool, even at the age of 132 still doesn’t get human nature, least of all that old saying, the hand that feeds almost always gets chewed off, especially if the “benefactor” keeps reminding people they would be nothing and nowhere were it not for his generosity. The Palestinians HATE the Israelis because they know they are INFERIOR. They are filled with a nuclear rage and an envy that can never be appeased. Their culture is inferior, their accomplishments are inferior, and their “country” would be a sewer like the rest of their “civilizations”. They know and understand the Jewish mind and how it works. They need but look at history to see a story of a people so battered and defensive that they would go and have gone to great lengths to appease and diffuse. Until the Israeli’s give s SH-T about their own above all others, they will NEVER be able to erase the perception they can be undone. Fear is the shield they have never been able to wield with any confidence. And it shows. And everybody knows it.
Starting with Bernie Madoff(who largely conned/victimized his own people)there is an underlying perception in the general population that “the Jews screwed the economy” (then made a killing off the bailouts) which is of course greatly exaggerated… but it is undeniable that there is a disproportionate number of jewish lawyers, economists, execs, politicos among the key players: Greenspan, Bernanke, Geithner et al, and beneficiaries/exploiters of the situation: execs like Blankfein of Goldman Sachs cast a long shadow in public perception when they rake in obscenely lucrative personal bonuses while their firms take billions in taxpayer funded bailout money. These ‘chosen people’ have brought the wrath upon themselves.
Unfortunately, the mensches of the world go largely unsung and ignored, and voices of reason like Paul Krugman may receive deserved recognition, while their wise policy counsel goes largely unheeded.
KRUGMAN? the NYT Krugman??
reason LOL
nope try again
the man is just one more liberal JEW making nice with his tormentors
Jake. I’m happy to report that TurboTax Tim Geithner is not a member of the cabal. As to your ideal mensch, Paul Krugman, if being on Enron’s payroll doesn’t chink his armor and your amour, I guess nothing will.
Actually, if you think about it…
Jews are the perfect face of Capitalism…
Hard working, survivors, they manage to make a success out of themselves even out of the hardest of hardships…they are smart and know how to invest and they aren’t frivolous out of their means…
It’s kind of scary to think where this is heading…
Delia:
I really agree with you. You said it “short and sweet.”
Jewish people have an affinity for turning lemons into lemonade.
Maybe it’s from the life they have to deal with as a conspiculously accomplished minority? Someone’s bound to be jealous of their ability to focus despite the headwinds of bigotry.
Stan, you nailed it. JEALOUSY. It’s the green-eyed monster. Some people are born gifted and that rankles the UN-gifted.
*sigh* Life is not EQUAL or FAIR.
I just can’t understand the self-hating Jews who continue down the path of self-annihilation?
That just saddens me so deeply.
I also have pondered what has been called “self-hating jews”. Self-hatred is not unique to Judaism. sometimes I call it the “internalzed diaspera” when I think of alienation from the community of one’s roots, so to speak. Other times, the phenomenom might emerge from a wish to gain attention, even at the cost of constant debate and argument. Which sometimes attracts a following. Of those who like to bond in a common hatred. Or play at being the rebel in order to appear smart. (e.g. Chomsky and Finkelstein). Ultimately I find it hard to understand.
Remember, this is not merely about Jews. It is the hatred of others. I do not hate those who follow Islam. I pray for them. I preach understanding, not submission.
If/When hatred of Jews leads to their extermination, who will be next? Look at the Muslim people. They battle not only with Jews and Christians, but with each other. This is what will happen when people make up stuff like this and take it for granted. This is what happens when people use a notion of other-ness against each other.
The left used to say all sorts of things about ending racism and hate. Today, they wallow in it, and all the while blame everyone else for being that way.
Mock them, Criticize them, Pray for them, and defend yourselves if you must. The day any group of people is singled out for hatred and violence is the day that we all lose.
The Demo-rats throwing a tantrum because their parents gave them the keys and they crashed the car–its all the parents fault, don’t you know they all should have known better; but of course no one wants to accept any responsibility for their actions. That goes at least 10 times more over for Politicians.
Ehud Barack, veteran of many Israeli cabinets, was once asked what he would do if were a Palestinian. He replied honestly, with a kind of Israeli candor — “I’d join a fighting organization.” Much of the world sees the Palestinian struggle for self determination as justified because it IS justified. It’s really that simple.
That’s called dhimmitude. He drank the media and Fakestinian PR kool-aid. Shame on him.
Meir Kahane was right.
Please… The answer to bigotry is not more bigotry…
Read his book before you call Meir Kahane a bigot. And learn what Islamic doctrine is all about. Islam is not a religion in any sense that we in the West are familiar with. Islam is an expansionist, enemy, totalitarian POLITICAL ideology that seeks to eliminate everything outside of itself.
It is incompatible with the continued existence of the US Constitution, with the Israeli republic, or with any other form of representative government.
There is much to agree with in Phyllis Chesler’s well-researched and -written article. I also agree that much of the hatred directed against Jews is attributed to (Christian-inspired) guilt of the Holocaust (Shoah is a term I prefer) and old-fashioned envy of our success as a people. No doubt, there are all kinds of reasons for hatred, the vast majority thoughtless and based on ill-founded prejudice and lies.
There is also unexplained irrational hatred that some Jews say has a spiritual component, i,e., “the Hamans of the world wish to destroy Israel,” I have been living with some form of hatred of the Jews since I was young enough to ask my parents those questions; I think it will never go away, and some times are worse than others.
This hatred of Jews in the U.S., is as predictable as it is irrational; history has warned us that in dire economic times, the Jewish People will become the prime targets of wrath. Perhaps Jews ought to cool it with conspicuous consumption. Here’s my sad conclusion: I have never believed that Jews would ever be truly accepted, even in the U.S., Canada and Britain. Call it the thoughts of the son of a survivor. These are unhappy times.
It is a more interesting question to ask why Conservatives don’t carry an anti-semitic hatchet and these young liberals do.
Republicans and Conservatives generally fall all over each other to give loving support for Israel. They are doing it in the current nomination race, they do it with an almost religious devotion in their eyes. That is fine if they have a feeling for doing that, but… Jewish Americans vote overwhelmingly Democrat. Well-off jewish folks supply liberal outfits with a great deal of money and support, which is in-turn targeted against traditional wasp society and “angry white males”. That’s not a dig, or a thumbs-up for anti-semitism, it’s a peculiar fact and something that has to change. If Jews with means and votes aren’t inclined to support Conservatives and our interests, then here, enjoy your protester friends and the growing islamic presence in the US.
Perhaps Jews ought to cool it with conspicuous consumption??
really??? so you are just one more in long line of people who think JEWS can fix those who despise them by changing what they do.
Yup and women can prevent rape by wearing long skirts.
Sorry- JEws who earned the money should spend it any way they damn well please just like anyone else. History proves no amount of appeasement and cowering changes jewhaters minds about them.
Bravo! That is exactly the answer to those who try to put the onus of Jew hatred on the Jews, and not where it belongs.
The Anti Semitics and the Anti Israel left took over the Student peace movement. The same thing can happen today but this time the Islamic Brotherhood is helping.
Although I realize the word is older than a few decades, ‘Judeophobia” sounds too much like the Left’s other phony phobia with which they attack the world. As long as we think as and speak the “-phobic” language of the Left, they cannot be defeated.
I have seen the author speak on BookTV, but have not read this book. Enjoyed his background explanations of why American Jews generally support liberal politics….
Why Are Jews Liberals? (Vintage) [Paperback]
Norman Podhoretz
Published: Oct, 2010 or so.
Jewish folks in this country, since the late 1800s have flocked and voted for communists, liberal progressives, and literally anybody that claims to be a progressive. They still do, no matter that these psuedo-religious ideologies are now openly anti-semitic.
Has this changed at all how jewish folks vote. No.
You can bet that folks like Shumer, Feinstein, Waxman, Wasserman, et. al. will keep getting re-elected to office. Has anyone noticed that none of these politicians has openly expressed one iota of anger towards these demonstrators? Why not?
Well, obviously they either support these anti-semitic, communist/nazi vermin, or they figure they must keep quiet to maintain support of the democratic party; or maybe they realize that their supporters ALSO support the demonstrators.
(By the way, the leader of the “democratic” party, Obama, has stated publicly his sympathy for these demonstrators; their anti-semitism does not seem to bother him. I guess after listening for 20 years to that black nazi Rev.Wright, he must agree with the anti-semites. Oh yea, jewish voters overwhelmingly voted for Obama too. What a surprise !!).
Regardless, jewish support at all levels for these demonstrators and/or for left wing ideologies in general is coming full circle to punch jews right in the nose. Like canaries in a coal mine, jews will be the first victims of these left wing/ fascist scum. You can count on that.
Jewish americans must have a death wish; I can see no other rationale for their self-destructive political / voting habits.
JA:
It is my opinion that once anyone, of any religious faith, subscribes to Socialism-Leninism-Communism,Nazism, that person has left his/her religion behind. That person has made a choice of what is most important in that person’s life. They are far removed from the Ten Commandments.
And, while they often won’t admit it, God in their lives has passed out of their hearts.
The theologies identified above cannot be compatible with Judeo-Christian belief. The four theologies I mentioned are virulently opposed to love of God.
You have named a list of Democrats who are believed to be Jews. I suggest that they can’t be practicing Jews and Socialists at the same time. But, of course, that wouldn’t matter for anyone critical of Jews in general.
It is true that Jews tended, and still tend, to vote progressive, for many sound reasons. The conservatives/Christians were not as hospitable to the Jewish people from the 1800′s until recently. Now it is different. I also don’t understand the present proclivity, and I must say willful blindness to the liberal bias. But this does not mean that all Jews vote, and would vote on the same continuum. In New York city, the bastin of liberalism, a Republican representatie was elected, in large measure thanks to the Jewish inhabitants, who used to vote in this district for democrats. So there is hope that the Jews will take off their blinders.
Class Warfare is being defined here.
Bo, Bo finally got his wish.
Why and sand hell do you think he’s supporting these disjointed, rag tag group of clueless trust funded adult, and bottom feeders.
And why is the press pandering to this circus; as if they have a clear agenda and message.
We can all smell the stink form here and I’m in AZ.
Under reported; Wall Street announced they are eliminating 10,000. I guess Mayor Bloomberg missed that one as he quakes for indecisons over closing the public streets, all agaisnt NYC laws.
His indecison is following marching orders with our sleaze leadership.
They are brethran Libtards using the clueless for class Warfare.
The Many Faces of Domestic Terrorism
The incidence of domestic terrorism in America, the commission or threat of violence against civilians by political, religious, or other ideological fanatics, actually pre-dates the establishment of the United States.
Domestic terrorism has many faces, all of them ugly, all of it carried out by U.S. citizens.
Defined by the FBI in 1994 as,”the unlawful use of force or violence, committed by a group(s) of two or more individuals, against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives,” that definition of domestic terrorism was expanded by the Patriot Act to incorporate actions of “mass destruction, assassination, and kidnapping occurring within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.”
The British may have construed the Boston Tea Party as domestic terrorism even before the term existed. However, most of us are more familiar with contemporary incidents, those perpetrated by the KKK, the Black Liberation Army, the Jewish Defense League, the Weather Underground, the Unabomber, the Fort Hood Muslim, and the deadliest of all, the 1995 Oklahoma City bombers.
Depending on one’s sociopolitical perspectives, almost any domestic crime can be considered an example of domestic terrorism.
Thus, the 2009 senseless murder of the abortionist Dr. George Tiller by Scott Roeder, a man crazed by the inhumanity of late term abortions, has been termed by some as domestic terrorism. Conversely and perversely, gays who proudly attack a gathering of normal people with bricks are accorded an MSM pass. (http://tiny.cc/ifhnt)
Go figure.
On the other hand, transparent efforts at coercion by the Wall Street Occupiers, efforts clearly aimed at intimidating our government and civilian population “in furtherance of political or social objectives” aren’t being classified as terroristic by our governments or by the mainstream media.
If violence and murder constitute the requisite distinctions in determining what is and what is not domestic terrorism, what of the threat of violence and murder posed “in furtherance of political or social objectives”?
No murders by the OWS protestors have been reported so far but widespread violence has been committed against the public weal and against public sensibilities, overt threats have been directed toward individuals, institutions, and Jews in general, and rapes, thefts, and clashes with police. . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=5758.)
It did not occur to me that Occupy Wall Street could be anti-Jewish. I understand it to be against unfair economic practices that prevent millions of people from ever getting past abject poverty and who have no acess to a decent standard of health care, thus, their lives will be more miserable and shortened. I would never have expected your observation to be a part of it, and I continue to support strong government action to ensure much more fairness in the financial world, whatever your religion. That some are using this legitimate resistance act to blame Jews is unconscionable, and does not though, remove the importance of the need for more fairiness in the financial world.
Janet
I suppose you support Obama and voted for him in the past and will do so again! Just guessing here but you are not a conservative now are you?
I really do not understand that: Judeophobia, as well as I do not understand Islamophobia.
Though there definitely is Karifophobia and Criticismphobia.
I mean: if one criticize an economic system, or any other kind of system, why should he/she be a phobic?
Richness on this planet, on this Earth, is unsustainable:
richness, and no one can deny this, has its roots in Discrimination, Exploitation (even Slavery), and notably comes from and it’s nurished by so called 7 Capital Vices, I challenge anyone to deny this fact.
I think that true Correctness and for the sake of the Golden Rule of Ethics, one must accept Criticism (even better if one apply Self criticism),
for the sake of so callable 7 Capital Virtues, and basic (psychological*) Principles.
* = from Greek “Psychè” meaning “Soul”, and Psychology being Humanism (therefore “psychological” being “humanist(ic)”].
Loveful regards.
We need to asses our Jewish “leadership,” particularly those that claim to fight anti-Semitism, for reasons behind the surge of “new” anti-Semitism. Wiesel is a self-glorifying fraud, who pontificates, without living by his own preachings, and don’t count on the ADL, JDL, Facing History and Ourselves, JALSA(Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action) etc. if you are ever confronted with corporate anti-Semitism.
We need a new leadership, committed to the mission of supporting humanitarianism and not self-serving functionaries. Maybe then those who really care can effect some change.
Your use of pejorative adjectives to describe Elie Weisel is not specific. What self-glorification? What fraud? I think you are just tossing labels about. Are you envious of his becoming well known or something like that? Have you read even “Night”, his first book? BTW there is a newer translation of it along with “Dawn” and “Day”, printed as a one volume trilogy. I have read him, have heard him speak, also watched him express anger,(which was very specific), and found him to be as authentic as anyone needs to be. I think what you perceive as his success is more than well deserved. Try reading him and get to know this person better. It is all there, available on the pages.
Just putting the acronyms of certain groups on your dont-like list tells us nothing. Also, not specific enough to be meaningful.
Thank you Phyllis! Don’t ever stop speaking out, the world needs you!
While the article is excellent, I wholeheartedly agree that the tern “phobia” is a misnomer–a casualty of today’s disgusting “political correctness.” Kind of reminds me of how we’re supposed to feel “compassion” for rapist killers as they were abused as children. Hatred is hatred, plain and simple.
I know all some “Liberal” Leftists who happen to be stuck in a time warp–the Freedom Rides come to mind and am left to wonder when they–or any of us, for that matter–will wake up.
The islamists may be “unglued,” however, that does NOT mean they aren’t deadly. Like sociopaths, their insanity should be taken very seriously.
“we were hated as Christ killers”
Before I finish the article, I wanted to stop and comment on this. I heard some jerk on the radio today call in and use this term in reference to the Jews, and seeing this phrase just now made me think.
I am not a Biblical scholar by any stretch of the imagination, so I can’t quote. But I thought the whole point of Jesus was that our only redemption was through His sacrifice…so if he wasn’t killed (by the Jews or anybody else)wouldn’t we all be pretty much screwed?
When I was 17, I had a horridly vivid dream of Christ’s crucification and *I* was one of the many in the crowd guilty watching but not standing up for HIM.
Not ONE person is innocent. Not ONE.
Indeed, Delia. Amen.
We are none of us innocent in the death of Christ, because we are the reason for it.
I have no way of knowing what I would have done had I been there…but I know myself pretty well and I am not the bravest person in the world.
This is your problem, isn’t it? But the Jews didn’t kill Jesus. They had no reason to. This is a later fabrication of the gospels. I suggest you read a few books. Jesus and Israel, by Jules Isaak, comes to mind.
Maybe we have a miscommunication? I would appreciate if you could elaborate on your comment.
I wonder if someone here likes free critical Thinking or if nobody likes it.
The problem for indignados is the financial situation around the world (and any person with a basic Education knows what is it), which is HUMANLY unsustainable and … wretched.
About the Hebreo jews and the Hebreo Jesus the Christ, the problem is not who killed the latter or not, or (even!) if Jesus the Christ really existed or not.
The problem is (see above): who likes free critical Thinking?
What do people think about the Golden Rule of Ethics? [And notably about Discrimination, racial/ethnic Supremacism, ...].
Self criticism belong to free critical Thinking, and is the gateway to its application onto others.
Loveliest regards.
all this antisemitism just makes me want to be a Jew. i say we, but the complaints are that (they) control the world and the banks and popular culture. smart, educated, and successful. why wouldn’t i not want to be a Jew. count me in.
It is now believed that if Israel would have lost the Yom Kippur war…well, if the Arabs would have won, they would have indeed lost. Experts in the field now agree that Israel already had 13 nuclear bombs in 1973 ready for them, some of them thermonuclear.
Tiny Israel is so successful, has produced so many Nobel prices, contributes to the advance of medical and other sciences in such a disproportionate way according to its population, that it generates a dynamo of constant envy from its corrosives neighbors.
Hitler and the Nazis called, rightly so, physics a “Jewish Science”. Meaning Einstein, Bohr, Ms Meiner, specially Hungarian Jew Leo Szilard (the father of the atom bomb, and chain reaction idea, the one who authored that letter that Einstein signed and sent to President Roosevelt).
So, finally, I believe it will be a rain of fire again (Jada Agni), this time many many time bigger than Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and someone won’t blink and eye when Israel send them back to the stone age where some of them seem to belong.
As per the liberal Jews, they have been like that for ages. Out of the 6 founders of the Bolshevik revolution, 3 were Jews (Zinoviev, Trotsky, and Kamenev), a 4th, Lenin was only 1/4 Jew. Not to mention the damage socially that Karl Marx did to the world and humanity, a disgruntled and dirty human being writing away at the public library of London.
Occupy Wall Street, Self-Serving Anarchy
Anyone who has ever had burdensome college loans to pay off, anyone who has lost a decent job and can’t find another, anyone who ever bought a house he couldn’t afford, anyone who lost a bundle in stock market downturns while banks and auto companies received billions in bailouts must have felt at least a minimal degree of empathy for the Occupy Wall Street protestors.
Anyone who still believes they deserve empathy is a damned fool.
Whoever organized the initial disorganized demonstrations over a month ago may have had valid beefs with the establishment but the protests have long since been co-opted by the most radical elements within and from outside American society.
Communists, neo-Nazis, anti-Semites, skinheads, and anarchists representing extremist fringes now seem to comprise the bulk of the occupiers and are working to direct the rudderless group toward lawless chaos which promises to deliver to any sincere protestors a nation only anarchists would want.
As OWS-inspired demonstrations spread like pestilence throughout the country and the world, they grew increasingly violent and intractable after notable, wealthy liberals from President Obama and Vice President Biden on down to Michael Moore and Alec Baldwin gave them stamps of approval.
And, it’s getting worse:
. When representatives of nations such as China, Iran, and Russia where similar demonstrations would be met with repression, jail time, and worse, joined the chorus of OWS supporters, something is evidently, seriously wrong with Occupy Wall Street.
. When the disgraced and disbanded ACORN and billionaire capitalist/America-hater George Soros emerged . . .

Berlet98, nice post….
The OWS is not spontaneous. This is straight from Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”. ACORN and no coincidence that Obama was a “community organizer” (whatever that means). It means “Change” ha, ha.
Vide Pat Buchanan’s last book: “The Suicide of a Superpower”. As Ann Coulter stated, what is happening to white America is akin to genocide. Because white America has no balls anymore, a gradual Mexicanization of America is taking place. Some Muslims sue a Catholic university here because they are discriminated against!
OWS is/are…can’t find the word in English right now, but will borrow a Teuton word often used by Der Fuhrer….Gesindel!
