America Drowns, But Obama Throws the Mideast Our Life Preserver
Having high ideals and unselfish goals is something for which all good people strive. But when one’s high-minded desires overwhelm the basics of self-preservation, then all that high-flying, “do-unto-others” rhetoric actually becomes more destructive than the most selfish person could ever be. Folks just minding their own business and taking care of their own needs, at the very least, do no harm to others. Do-gooders, on the other hand, always minding other people’s business while ignoring their own, often do quite a lot of harm – even to those they insist they are really trying to help.
Which brings us back to President Obama and his innate arrogance. Only a truly arrogant fool, using other people’s money, could possibly ask the struggling American taxpayer to dole out more money to save the world — at a point when we cannot even save ourselves from economic crash-and-burn reality.
What’s even worse about this fool’s-errand speech is that the money he’s promising on our behalf is for the Islamic regimes which daily threaten to destroy our way of life and grow stronger as we grow weaker. Any American with a mere grain of common sense will see this presidential folly as not merely stupid but also traitorous.
Just imagine for a moment, dear readers, if the World War II generation had attempted to use the Obama strategy to defeat Nazism. Instead of bombing the SOBs into ignominious defeat and occupation, we could have given them billions to make nice with us. Right. Great strategy. The Nazis would have used the money to build more “ovens” and get to atom bomb superiority, all the while laughing and sending their best and brightest suck-up artists to the diplomacy tables.
This is, by the way, precisely what the North Koreans do with every nickel we send to them for food, supposedly to give to their people. We send money to crooked, evil regimes every day around the globe, which is turned into weapons that will one day be used against us. But I digress into common-sense thinking — way too much for D.C. do-gooders and bureaucrats to understand.
This “strategy” is simple: give your enemies the rope with which to hang you.
Now, it is highly unlikely that Obama will be able to wrangle another dime out of a Congress made more sober with each day’s increasing deficit hanging over their heads. But that won’t stop the teenager in chief from promising another huge increase in Dad’s American Express limit to all the beggars of the world.
The next time anyone wonders why Ron Paul’s “cut off every penny of foreign aid” message resonates with so many Americans, here is the clue.
Only ninnies of the lowest order try to save the whole world when they cannot even save themselves.

Should we stop aid to Israel (especially now)? Maybe if we hadn’t given aid to our enemies in the first place, they wouldn’t need it so much.

If you would be so kind as to reread that paragraph, I believe you will find that there was no agreement from moi, the author. I merely pointed out that many Americans do agree with it and are growing more isolationist by the hour.
I’ve spoken with a good many of these people. They do not actually support a Ron Paul presidency, but they are frustrated beyond belief at turning over hard-earned money to federal government officials and bureaucrats, who give over billions every year to line the pockets of thug regimes.

If Osama bin Laden were still alive Barack Obama wouldn’t have had the effrontary to give this treacherous, backstabbing speech on Middle East peace yesterday. The killing of bin Laden has gone to Obama’s head and warped an already poor and deficient judgement on world and regional affairs. He thinks that God and history are now on his side for a comprehensive Mideast peace where Israel will fall on its sword for him because he slew bin Laden. And he is dead wrong. In less than a month Obama has gone from the sublime of killing bin Laden to the absurd of requiring Israel to return to its indefensible 67 borders against a prior US agreement. And for what? For peace? With whom? An implacable, bitter, Jew hating enemy-driven by injustice, imperialism and intolerance-who wickedly defines peace in triumphalist terms as Israel’s destruction-and won’t settle for less “We must persue the world as it should be.”: said Obama. Which is exactly what Palestinians, Iranians and Islamists believe; for such a world means Islamic conquest with Israel destoyed and the US and Europe defeated. What incredible naivity!
Coming just five days after George Mitchell resigned in frustration as the US Envoy to Mideast Peace (frustrated because of the ominous reunion of Fatah and terrorist Hamas making peace impossible) Obama’s speech was an act of political desperation to make it appear that he’s relevant to regional events and back in the game as a peacemaker. Unfortunately, Obama blew his chance two years ago to make his mark on Mideast history as a shaper of events when he ignored the democratic uprising in Iran-to avoid offending Ahmadenijad who he imagined would be a partner in a grand deal to moderate and denuclearize Iran. Now he’s reduced to fighting Kaddafy in Lybia and imposing sanctions on Syria and making absurd, self-serving, tiresome speeches (aimed at his improbable reelection) about an impossible peace between peaceloving Jews and Palestinian murderers. History is passing Obama by, his moment for greatness long past as he loses what little prestige he gained from killing bin Laden.
May I suggest that if we want to save this country from the crooks in office currently, we wise up and nominate someone that everyone inside the Washington Beltway hates. If she happens to be a women all the better.

I don’t agree that Mr. Obama hates Jewish peoples. He is compassionate for ALL people, including Muslims…indeed, he himself is a practicing Muslim. I think his mother was Jewish, so he is a product of both worlds, rich in cultural heritage, art, history, and love. Mr. Obama is a uniter, not a divider. If he is guilty of anything, it may be in trying to please to many people in expense of his self.

Thanxs to Obama,Congress etc we have a debt to a massively over- populated,horribly polluted Communist country.You can almost feel them eyeing U.S. land and counting the interest.
On the other side we have the 1/2 insane religiously fanatical countries with even loonier dictators that our egocentric Prez keeps trying to buy as his buddies at the cost endangering our financial collapse and safety.
Then we have a 3rd world amusement park for a border,where drugs,gangs,sex workers,illegal immigrants,arms dealers and stray animals have daily parades onto our land and into our social programs.
We have few allies,fewer still that are intelligent and financially stable.

The phrase is sometimes called, “cutting off your nose to spite your face” I have seen families do this. One sister or brother marries a drug dependent spouse and the ensuing tragedy sweeps up the whole family into the poor house.
The phrase comes with others such as, “I am not going to let my sis/Bro be homeless while I have the means to help” which leads to money given to sis/Bro which is shared with spouse who gives it to dealers and pushers for drugs.
Round and round it goes until the one helping (enabling) is swept up into the same poor house and dragged financially down under water helping the other.
While our own people drown and watch their possessions be swept away our Leadership gives the aid to the folks who wish us to be swept away and drowned.
The POTUS Obama (PBUH) is simply cutting off our noses to spite his perception of America’s bad face.
